It really pains me to have to leave a negative review as we previously received great service, but we are unbelievably frustrated at this point. When we initially bought our home and auto insurance, we dealt with Connor who was super patient, clear and responsive. We have since received great service by multiple other Tanner personnel up until this year when our insurance went up significantly for the second year in a row (30% increase), despite having no claims and a perfect driving record in that time. We inquired on the price increase and were told that all insurances had gone up and that our current provider was still competitive. We decided to call other insurance providers and were surprised to receive quotes averaging $1000 less per year than our current provider. When we reported this back to our broker, her story quickly changed and she said that had seen quotes for that price recently (we thought all insurances had gone up? Guess not?). Naturally, we decided that we would switch providers. She became virtually unreachable and provided no helpful information. We tried calling her multiple times for weeks and could never get through to her. She said that she was busy with other clients. Not a problem. We get it. We also have busy and stressful jobs. We asked her if we could make an appointment to chat then? We would call during the time she mentioned and she wouldn't answer. We asked numerous times how much it would cost to cancel and were told that "there was no way to know", despite being told by other brokers that they should know the exact amount once the cancellation forms were submitted. We still don't know how much it will finally cost to cancel. We are still receiving invoices for varying amounts from our past provider. It is frustrating to not know what we owe exactly and be able to plan accordingly. Very disappointed. EDIT: Tanner insurance contacted us following posting this review. They apologized for the inconvenience and confirmed the cancellation fees. SECOND EDIT: Despite a broker reaching out a few months ago and personally apologizing, I am still being charged every month for insurance that I have spent 3 months trying to cancel. Unbelievable.

I had a lovely experience with Kayla Weirmeir who was patient with our questions related to cottage insurance and car insurance provider, knowledgeable and quick responsive to our emails. Kayla tried to help us find an insurance quote for our cottage and provided a helpful car insurance tip when her colleague did not. Background story with this colleague: I sent an email to Kayla to cancel my car insurance due to my car was deemed a total loss by the insurance. Colleagues called me to confirm I would like to cancel my car insurance and I said "yes" followed by colleague terrorized me to renew my car insurance or suspend the car insurance even though I still had to pay when I didn't even have a car. I told him these choices do not make sense when I don't even have a car. Then he told me the house insurance rate would go up because I wouldn't have a bundle and if there is a grace period within a car insurance policy, my next car insurance policy would increase. Thank goodness I did not sign the document at that moment as I wanted a second opinion. I called Kayla directly and explained to her what happened between her colleague and me, and she suggested that sign onto my husband's insurance before I cancel the car insurance. The colleague could have just suggested this answer. I would have given 2 stars to Tanner b/c of this guy if it was not for Kayla. Edited: Connor called me to request to remove his colleague first and last name. Connor also said he will work with this person to improve on his skills.

Perry So from Tanner Insurance is by far the best insurance broker to work with. He provided us the best rates and certainly went above and beyond to help us when he had multiple purchases and deadlines happening! He is very friendly and patient, always answers phone calls and emails immediately and explains everything in great details.
