While the resort looks beautiful from outside, we felt that there lies some internal problems which no one is bothered to address. 1. Hotel staff did not offer to help with baggage handling, which is basic to any hotel we have stayed otherwise ( pvt or govt). There is a general laziness among staff and they are not quite proactive. 2. We stayed in a twin bed room which was small in size and should not cost Rs. 2500 plus in tariff per night. 3. There is no WiFi in rooms, qnd is only available in corridors. 4. No tea, coffee station in room. Nor is it available at their restaurant (except at breakfast). Also no complimentary breakfast provided in this tariff. 5. No lift facilities for higher floor which may be a concern for people with knee issues. 4. Food quality is okay at the restaurant, and very very oily. Not recommended for people who are journeying for many days and having food here as a pitstop. (Attaching pictures) 5. The wierd rule of not allowing tourists to take pictures with camera at the Taramati Baradari, and saying it is chargeable. Being a govt. property in tourism business such nonsensical and absurd analogy is beyond ones comprehension. While photoshoot is chargeable ( pre-wedding and other shoots), why is it becoming normal for ground staff to harrass general tourists with a DSLR? More education needs to be given otherwise the sorry state of Telengana tourism shall continue. Also as boarders at the property are not allowed to make harmeless self videos (not tik tok or any other cringe content) way outside the protected monument - was rgian absurd and did not make sense to us. Overall not recommending this property to any one

Taramati Baradari is a historical sarai as part of Ibrahim Bagh, a Persian-style garden built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah, the fourth Sultan of Golconda. The Baradari was constructed on the banks of the Musi River. Today, the region comes under the city limits of Hyderabad, India. The tourism department attributes the name to the reign of the Seventh Sultan of Golconda, Abdullah Qutb Shah who he named after his favorite courtesan, Taramati a Kuchipudi dancer.[1]The tourism department promotes the location by romantic stories linking the then-Sultan with a courtesan named Taramati. One such story goes that during the reign of Abdullah Qutb Shah, he used to hear Taramati's voice as she sang for travelers at the Serai, while he sat two kilometers away at Golconda fort. Her voice was carried by the wind, and the prince would listen from the fort. There is no recorded report of the same. Another fable tells of two ravishing dancing sisters, Taramati and Premamati, who danced on ropes tied between their pavilion and the balcony of the king and patron, Abdulla Qutub Shah. About half a mile north of the fort lies his grave amid a cluster of carved royal tombs. Here lie buried the Qutub Shahi kings and queens in what was once their rose gardens. As a tribute to Taramati and Premamati, they both were buried in the royal cemetery of the Qutub Shahi kings. Taramati Baradari pavilion has 12 doorways and was constructed to allow cross ventilation and is one of the most indigenous techniques to have been used at that time. The open pavilion includes other facilities like an air-cooled theatre with a capacity of 500 people, an open-air auditorium with a capacity of 1600 people, a Banquet Hall with a capacity of 250, a multi-cuisine restaurant, and a swimming pool.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Taramati Baradari Resort for a day, and unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations. Despite its claim to be a 3-star hotel and the cost of around 3k rupees, there were several aspects that left me extremely dissatisfied. Firstly, the lack of essential amenities was a major drawback. The non-functional television in the room was an inconvenience, as it deprived me of entertainment during my stay. Moreover, to my disappointment, there was no provision for a working Wi-Fi connection. In this digital age, reliable internet access is crucial for both leisure and business travelers, and the absence of Wi-Fi connectivity was a significant letdown. Furthermore, the absence of a proper blanket and the provision of only an old, thick woolen blanket added to the discomfort. The rough texture of the blanket made it unsuitable for direct use, causing further inconvenience and disappointment. To compound matters, the lack of complementary services was unexpected considering the cost of around 3k rupees. No provision for evening tea, lunch, or breakfast as part of the room package left me feeling that the resort did not prioritize guest satisfaction. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Taramati Baradari Resort. The subpar services, non-functional TV, absence of Wi-Fi, lack of proper bedding, and absence of complementary services make it a disappointing choice for accommodation.

Taramati Baradari is one of the popular monuments of Hyderabad. Taramati Baradari is consisted of a music hall with 12 entrances. It was used an an auditorium. Taramati has been situated on the top of the hill, which was done so as to avoid any disturbance to the sound from the population of the surrounding area. Its hall is spacious. This huge structure is in the shape of semi-arch; it opens into an art gallery. Taramati Baradari is a historical sarai as part of Ibrahim Bagh, a Persian style garden built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah, the fourth Sultan of Golconda. Presently, it is a cultural complex which is run by TSTDC( Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation ) where various events, concerts, performances and exhibitions are conducted. The complex is consisted of a large open air theatre, along with a conference room and business centre. The open theatre has a seating capacity of 1,600 people, while the other theatre can seat about 500 audiences. The experience was very pathetic. We are here for last 3 days. The room is full of cockroaches. Dirty elements are coming from taps. Comod water system is not working properly. TV is not working. There is not enough types of food in canteen. Foods are very costly. No shops nearby the resort. They can't understand Hindi language properly. Drinking water is full of dirty things. Even the jugs are very dirty. AC is not working properly. An unnatural sound is coming from ac always. They didn't clean our rooms for last 3 days. Very pathetic situation. I can't recommend anyone to book here. This is very poor service by Telengana Tourism. If they become serious, they could easily make this hotel, the best hotel in Hyderabad. This hotel is linked with famous Golconda fort. They are destroying their own image. Very sad.

'Baradari' is a building or pavilion with twelve doors designed to allow free flow of air. The structure has three doorways on every side of the square-shaped structure. Because of their outstanding acoustic features, these buildings were particularly well-suited for dance performances by the noble courtesans. They were also well-suited for live performances and private concerts by various musicians and poets in front of the ruling kings of the time. They were also valued for their fresh air during the hot summers of India. As per legend, the name 'Taramati' comes from the name of the Sultan's favourite courtesan who was also a good Kuchipudi dancer.

After getting the luggage in the room in the evening and at 11pm they said that the room is not in our namess and asked us to move out of the resort immediately, not even considering my age of 82 and my wife's age of 80. They even his our luggage out of our eyes and with lot of difficulties we got back our luggage and moved to a hotel. They even refused to talk to us and said that no luggage is there. This is the last place we will recommend to any body for accommodation or any function to be held. Very pathetic organization. Very bad treatment for guests and god save this organization.

Rooms were pathetic. AC was not working initially and when we insisted on changing room, then they brought a new remote of AC and then it was working fine. Blankets were without cover and not properly washed. Tstdc need not only take money but also should provide service. Also, till 11 in the night, some program was going on in common area, which would not let you asleep. Overall, a horrible experience. Not recommended for stay from my side to anyone . Dont go by pictures, this place is total waste.

It's a nice place to visit with your Family and relatively very less crowd that you'd encounter. It is one of the places that is related to Pre-Wedding shoots with assisted camera crew. Scenic spots at the venue that can be captured. Apart from that is the Taramati Baradari corridor atop, with a 100+ steps. It gives a beautiful view of the city, the nearby military area and also a peaceful place with not many visiting members. It certainly attracts couples for their own personal time as well.

I recently attended the open amphi theatre, and I must say it was a truly enchanting experience. The natural surroundings created a unique atmosphere, and the sound quality was surprisingly good considering the outdoor setting. The seating arrangement was comfortable, and there was ample space for a large audience. The backdrop of the stars and the open sky added a magical touch to the performance. It's a wonderful venue for enjoying music, theater, or any live event under the open sky.

Loved this place and the ambience, they also have a amphitheater inside them and it's really huge and can occupy an ample crowd. There's also a restaurant and Bar associated within the Baradari. Built in the memory of Taramati, The monument gives you picturesque view of the Hyderabad city and it's so beautiful to watch! It usually closes by 530, but the security person was kind enough to let us in post the close timing since we had came from another city.

1. Nice place a stay over a weekend. 2. Parking available for resort, sightseeing as well as restaurant. 3. Resort rooms are really nice. They have the olden day construction. Also food can be directly ordered in the rooms. 4. Check out the timings and rules and regulations for the swimming pool and the photo shoots. Overall a good place to spend the weekend. By the way you can visit the restaurant and monument even without booking the resort.

We informed staff of our visit for photoshoot 3 days in advance.We were told to visit anytime, no such bookings are required. We arrived from chennai for the same, we were declined because of some event. The point is they could have told in advance about it. We arrived all the way from chennai for pre wedding photo shoot and in last moment we are declined. Night charged applicable were Rs 2000 but post 5,which they started asking us for 2 o clock shoot itslef. Don't rely on telephonic conversation with these ppl

The Telangana Tourism authorities could do it much better I feel ! Being a hotelier I wouldn't even mind not giving this star if I had the option! Very pathetic maintenence! Also the FnB is sad no quality Housekeeping ! Unfortunately forgot to click the photos of blanket they provided as they were all torn ! Well the CM KCR says Golden Telangana I would say it's not even bronze buddy ! No proper utilization of space also ! They could generate much more revenue out of this space ! We have conducted a First Birthday party on 25th November 2022 at Amphitheatre with a gathering of 500 members, and the function was excellent with lighting and arrangements made by Telangana Tourism staff and cooperation extended by them is commendable, thanks to RJ Sai garu and Sridhar and their staff, Food privided by them also excellent, it is nice place to conduct Birthday parties also and the party was memorable and nice to see historical place at the same time

I have attended to my cousin reception party... It's an open Hall looks very grand and full of greenery too. Ample enough space for parking. But, maintenance of hand wash area is not at all good. This place is also provide for accommodation and can conduct events & all kind of party's. But, Hall is little expensive. They didn't even provided the seat covers, they charged amount for that separately. I won't suggest this place for as it very expensive with minimum services.

Good place to have the complete view of the city. it is located in a high position from there we 360degree view of Hyderabad city including Golconda fort, Gachibowli... in the same compound there is a Garden , restaurant and an Open stage opera house. No entry fee . this visit can be finished in couple of hours. people who are afraid of heights be careful.

Rooms are pathetic. Not at all recommended for staying. Foul smell in the room. Booked royal suit. It is worst. Service is also worst. AC not working. Lights are dim. No WIFI provided fridge which is not working. Resort is good for sight seeing only. Don't book rooms based on pictures available online please.

I love this place as it's verandah provides the best clicks of the sky. No wires and no interruption between the sky above and lens below. Don't worry.. The resort is a part of this heritage place and doesn't have any entry fee or restrictions.come as you may!! It's a place where you can climb to the top and view the city or the golconda fort with which its associated.Atleast history and guides say so. The first time I visited this property, and was expecting amazing, but it was exactly the opposite of my expectation. The rooms are ok, but bathrooms aren’t functioning well. Secondly there nothing called room service, they don’t have believe in serving the customer. It’s not worth free also. It rained when I was there. The monument is located on a elevated height surrounded by greenery on one side and high rise towers in the other side. I recommend to visit the place in cold weathers. There's nothing much to do at the monument. But you'll find some peace and silence from city's noise.

Very good. No entry fee to go to the top . Only camera allowed for 8000 rupees for 5 hrs. Other than that, no problem. Great 360 degree view from top. Highly recommend. Reaching the top can be difficult for elderly people because there are a lot of stairs, like stairs to heaven. But every one can enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, wonderful architecture and such a great maintained property of the ancient times.

My wife and I came here for a post-wedding photoshoot (our own). Just based on that experience, the architecture/backdrops this location offered, the evening/sunset lighting, and the downstairs restaurant for a much needed post-shoot meal were all just great. Lots of other couples were doing their own photoshoot, just shows to say that it's a good location for that activity.

The swimming pool is very clean. It is really nice place to enjoy and to relive the stress. They charge Rs.150 per hour. T-shirt and shorts are not available here. But Only one washroom is there. I Never had any skin allergy. Totally recommend it. Best thing is they allow on hourly basis without any memberships. Looking forward to go again and a again to relieve my stress and to get some new freshness.

Good place for arranging programs, seminars, wedding, photo shoot etc. Tariffs moderately priced. Clean & picturesque. Stay extremely good. Rooms neat & clean. Well maintained pool. Amphitheatre nice & large , can accommodate 1500 pax. Didn't tried food, but looked nice, ambience is extremely nice. I have decided to arrange marriage of my daughter in this venue. Good luck to the team.

Attended a wedding reception here. I know it's a government maintained facility and for that standard it's quite good. But absolutely looking at it, quite a few areas look very old. Needs big improvements there like the chair seats in the auditorium, dining hall etc

The rooms are not good and hygienic. Very very dirty rooms as per the price. The rooms are very very old. I am not recommended to anyone to go to this resort. Also the food was not good. Everything is not good in this resort. Totally waste of money.

A good old historical place which was turned beautifully into a resort , people can visit to see heritage site and as well as to organize any functions & parties also.A weekend family gateway can spend for half day to see resort and mahal. Mahal is small and beautiful and the view from top will be eye catching.

Nice place for a good photoshoot but please don’t go in green dress because there’s lot of greenery here. Gardens and open air theater with lot of chairs are nice, clean. so many stairs for going up to the monument hall. There’s a restaurant and bar as well. Inside Swimming pool is allowed after paying some amount. By: author of book “A Beauty By Its Blue Reflection”

Good place for a peaceful time & to enjoy classical music (requires prior event booking) - good to visit during the cool time of December evenings if you enjoy the chill & to have a good sunset view. Facilities & offerings are average - can be very much improved.

Better place to have a night stay. Not more than that. As we all well known about that, this is one of the place for pre-wedding shoots. Resort rooms and all are below average and compared to other resorts, they are not even providing any complimentary breakfast!! Staff were good and helpful and when we compare with other resorts, we can’t prefer this!

Decent place to stay for a day or 2. We found cockroaches and rats in the rooms and alot of mosquitoes, but they provided an all out which kept our room mosquito free! Don't know about quality of food as we stayed here for a wedding nearby. One other major concern is, it doesn't have an elevator, rest all is okay. Tidy rooms, washrooms and corridors.

Basically there are 4 parts to this Place : 1. Resort 2. Open ampi theatre 3. Conference Rooms/ Banquet hall for Private/ Corporate parties 4. The historical Sarai. Evening is the best time to climb up the stairs and see Sarai, the whole city looks beautiful from the Top . Only problem here, being mosquitoes, there are a lot of them there.

The place is good for relaxing with family but unfortunately they don't allow after 7. The information was not made public hence we have to return with children immediately. The children were disappointed.

Nice place to visit with family and kids. There is Free parking and a restaurant you can take dinner. The food was quite good in taste.

No entry fee for this place. You can easily go with family members and can watch one time. It is a small place but worth watching. I visited at night , it is a very beautiful place with lights.

Went there in the evening, with family and friends. Nice place, not crowded, restaurant is clean, service is good. Although the restaurant has limited items in its menu, the dishes were tasty, quantity was ok. Enough parking space near the entry gate. Will I go there again? Yes, if I'm travelling via that route.

The walkways stink of stagnant drain water Same stink pervades by poolside.

Nice serene place to visit. You get a nice view from up top. Also, if any cultural events are going on, it would be great to visit the place and watch it in person

We were at an event hosted by Royal Enfield for 100000 bikes. The breakfast served was hopeless, the Idlies were not upto the mark, the chutney was pathetic. Poori was burnt, Upma was not tasty. The food is below average but the place is very beautiful for stay and the view worth it

Went for sightseeing. Couldn't make it to the top due to 100+ steps. One time visit. Literally no crowd! Good for a photoshoot.

Most dissapointing were washrooms. They weren't maintained properly. All other things were good. I dint like banquet hall. Ac's worked well, garden are maintained. There could be some sort of snack area too. Other than restaurant.

Good place to sit and enjoy the sunset. Good place to also carry out photo shoots. This area has government run lodging service, with amphitheatre, Haritha restaurant and jewellery shop.

A bit of bad smell and pool was closed too, but a good place to relax and sit for some calm time. With a beautiful view, and with good atmosphere and parking. But neat and clean and free entry, so kind of okay.

It is a good place having some heritage value back to the history tied up with Hyderabad. Govt. need to focus more ensure that it is taken care..now it is being used only for events..such as Schools functions.

This place is suitable for clicking pictures. The sight is very beautiful and serene.

Is a beautiful and serene place to enjoy a quite evening with the family, friends or a beloved. They have an amphitheatre and an auditorium where concerts are held. So keep an eye out!

No doubt it's a must visit place in Hyderabad...not much to do and see but you can enjoy the swimming pool. There is a stay option in the resort. The restaurant is good.

We frequently go to functions there (resciptions) The only thing which I don't like is dining area which is a quiet congested. Other than that everything is fine

The place is maintained well. But washroom doors and cleanliness is not good. The food we had in the restaurant was fine.

Nice place. But, photo shoot charges of Rs.10,000/- is exhorbitant. There are many public parks of equivalent landscape which charge nothing.

It's a palace of one of the favourite of quli qutub shah (taramati). It's free to visit. it hosts functions also .

Best place for receptions. Need to concentrate more on the food section, since there is less space for it.
