to the junior store greeter that worked at around 8pm today on thursday 02/11/22: you are fantastic and are doing a great job at greeting customers and bidding them farewell. 5 stars to you. keep doing what you're doing. this review is for you. my partner and i visited the store today and were appalled by the treatment that the store greeter received by someone whom we assume is a supervisor or even a manager. this person had their hair in a ponytail and was wearing a long green dress. this individual berrated the store greeter in such a patronising manner in front of customers. i honestly feel sorry if the employees in target broadway are treated like this because workplaces are meant to be positive and enriching – not one where you get patronised and embarrassed by management. it paints such a bad picture for anyone wanting to work in target. my partner and i feel terrible for not stepping in and saying something – in hindsight, we really should have. as someone who has received such bad treatment from management in previous jobs, i can't stand seeing people treated like this – especially junior employees. if anything, it says a lot about your insecurities and inferiority complex. seriously, don't treat your employees like that.
When you cancel a click and collect it would be respectful to inform a customer of the cancellation and let them know why. The team member in store informed me of the cancellation and told me to call head office for a refund. Head Office dismissed me and told me it was automatic or had already been done. I insist on another number. I call, I have to wait. That person tells me it's not automatic and now she will issue me a refund. Inform your team members of the information so you can give your customers the correct information. Give customers a text or email to inform them of the cancellation, why and the eta of refund. I don't even get a confirmation of refund. Why? Customer experience is king, I know I will never use your service again.
I bought 3 LEGO minifigurines today. Click and Collect. Victoria was helpful. All three were in a sealed parcel. I didn't check in the shop (why would I assume anything would be wrong). I got back and 1 is sealed and complete/ that's fine. The other two had been opened with a sticky tape put on that the end with open envelope on both ends. One did not have a upper body (I literally only have the stand and the legs). The other one also taped up with sticky tape, clearly opened, it had the legs, the base and 3 tails (must be the dinosaur costume). What am I supposed to do with half figurines and 3 tails !!
The store doesn’t have the stock for some items that I’m after (and I’ve checked with their availability checker thingy online AND I visit early in the day just in case). It has happened multiple times now and it’s such a let down cz you plan ahead to go somewhere and to get something for a reason. And it’s not like there are multiple of them in cbd. Idk, for a branch that is so centrally located, this one seems to always have a sparse stock for most things like other commenters pointed out. Oh and a rude lady at the door. Super loud, condescending, and sarcastic for no reason at all.
Although it advertised that mobile phones could be purchased at the store, this particular store no longer carries them. The first staff member, at the service desk, was polite in response to my inquiry as to the whereabouts, however directed me to a non-existent display on the opposite side of the store. The second staff member informed me that they aren't available at Broadway anymore, however while accurate she was an unfriendly almost surly character, not very pleasant to approach and converse with about anything.
Ad I walked in, the door greeter and another associate were chatting and said hello to me and continued their conversation. Immediately after I walked in, a store manager or supervisor came over and completely went sideways on them for talking. It was distasteful and I don't plan on coming back. I feel for those employees. Even if there's an expectation of them on the job, they should not be publicly humiliated like that.
I haven't seen a Target store in a long time, due to the recent closures and takeovers by Kmart. Target Broadway is situated on the top level of Broadway shopping centre. There is a good range of products and the displays are neatly presented. The products, however, are more expensive than K-mart & BigW. Still it is a good place to shop if you live around the CBD.
I was in dire need of a new pillow, found myself in target, admittedly with some doubts about their pillows. But then, I was met with the most lovely service from Jake, who showed me around the pillow section, and helped me make an informed choice. To top it all off, Georgia was incredibly helpful at checkout, earning target a loyal and happy customer :)
Clean, tidy, and helpful staff. Dropped in to pick up a click and collect order. Felt sorry for the person at the service desk. 1 person with a line of customers. I admit it ẁas a little frustrating that some customers in line were not ready yet were still in like wasting others' time. Staff were friendly and very professional.
Absolute nightmare. Spoke with someone at 9am this morning who advised me you close at 10pm. Made it just in time after work arriving and seeing all gates closed and being told the store is shut. Google says you close at 10pm. Why are your doors closed at 9pm. Drove 45 minutes to be here.
Target - it is and always was that step up from Kmart in that department. That focus on affordable mid range home accessories. It’s range of clothing, bedding, electrical appliances, shoes, etc. are good. All there merchandise is OK for the price. I like it for that reason.
Big store and lots to choose from for family, or home and like the fact it's easy to navigate through the store and handy as in the Broadway complex. Have managed to pulse in what sells in women's fashion, do it well for the costs.
Big store, wish had more clothing for us 6xl seems to have been picked off. Everything frels fresh and clean there. Staff was nice when leaving. Prices were good and i like my clothes.
Like big W and Kmart but much better organised. Also very friendly staff. I got myself a pair of nice wellies for 35 dollars.
Always love a variety store . Make up , clothes and Christmas decorations. It's a yes from me. …
Has some ok stuff their but no electronic section dissapointing not a wide range like Kmart or big w
Friendly, helpful staff, good stock, moderate prices.
