The worst experience shopping at this target with my handicap mom they did not have no motor carts for my mom who is handicap so my mom had to force herself to walk with her Walker. The first thing i try doing was talking to a security guard asking him do you have any motor carts available he said no we dont then i said are you sure cause its against the law to not have a motor cart for the handicap. So i asked to speak to a manager and the manager never came down to see us. The security guard said that all motor carts were stolen smh mind you this place is a mall with top so call security guards. Now my mom cant walk today at all thanks to this target for not having at lease one motor cart for the handicap and my mom spent 400$ at this place cause we had no choice. Never again will i ever go back to this target. In fact for all handicap people and the elderly keep in mind there is no motor carts available ever we waited around to speak to a manager for over 20 mins standing in front next to the security guard. This target needs a reality check by law and by top officials/owners at this Target. I also lost my money going back and forth going crazy looking for a motor cart so whoever found 400$ enjoy it. They also closed the gate at the cross tunnel from the parking lot building so we had to go down from the target building and i had to walk to get my car by crossing the street to drive back to target to pick up my mom with big bags. The very worst experience i ever had shopping at target with my mother who was also very very upset with lots and lots of pain and target didn't even care at all ! #0 zero stars for me.
This location has always been a chaotic dumpfest with aisles looking like a cat 1 hurricane buzzed through, only now they’ve themed large swaths of the store with a minimum security prison motif by locking up all the stuff and requiring employee assistance to access. It’s a pain to find and wait for an employee, as it takes a long time - many times longer, than just shopping the usual old way in a store that doesn’t feel like I have to work a 12 hour shift at 20 cents an hour for a pack of gum with a shiv hidden along the wrapper folds. Please fix both this aspect and the nightmare look of this store. Honestly, if I could knock down the entire complex I would. It’s atrocious and resembles a part of old dumpy New York that needs to go - the locking up every item adds to this. We need a new store and a new security system that doesn’t involve locking everything up and treating all of us like potential criminals. Artificial intelligence is here and can help in that area I’m certain with motion surveillance trained to look for shoplifting patterns. You could also borrow a page from the Uniqlo shop just next door to your main entrance inside the complex - their checkout system and method of marking all of their merch so it remains active and able to trigger alarms at exits until someone physically goes to buy and pay for it both streamlines the checkout and shopping experience and maintains their profit margins by drastically limiting theft. This “lock it all up” system at Target stores is NOT the way to contend with it. It cheapens your brand and will push many like myself to just buy the equivalent on Amazon.
I ran out of espresso and swung through Target this morning to pick up that and a couple other items I needed. I was delighted to find the espresso was on sale (saving me $10!), but only if I placed the order online for an in-store pickup. Annoying, but I placed the order through the app, finished my shopping and carried the can of espresso to the in-store pick-up counter to expedite the process. The woman at the counter said it didn't work that way and I would have to wait for a Target team member to go and get it off the shelf for me. There were no other people in line, and the espresso was just a couple of aisle away, so I asked if she would mind doing that now, and she said no. I asked if there was any way that she could help me get this item before I left the store, and she said no, that I would just have to go away and wait until I got the email confirmation saying my item was ready for pickup. I told her I couldn't wait and asked her to cancel the order, and she said no, that I would have to do it myself. The complete lack of customer service in this situation is shocking to me. It would have been so easy for this woman to click a few buttons, fulfill the order, and ensure that I had an enjoyable experience with the brand. The sheer lunacy of this experience makes me never, ever want to shop at Target again. p.s. I went across the street to Stop & Shop to buy the espresso. The regular price at S&S is $16.49, the regular price at Whole Foods is $17.79, and the regular price at Target is $22.99, so I definitely won't be grocery shopping at Target again.
As a decade long target fan I'm not happy that now days you can't shop for the simplest items such as toothpaste, deodorant, lotion etc without having to wait for assistance to unlock the case they all sit behind now. It's absurd and absolutely doesn't make me want to shop with Target anymore. Soon we won't be able to get grocery items there next without them being locked up too. Is this what the world's come to. Everyday law abiding people have to deal with the consequences of a few shoplifters... Not to mention security is oblivious or doesn't care. You have homeless people walking around opening and eating food. I'm assuming they have security cameras where I guess Noone monitors what's going on... but if they choose to possibly we won't be shopping behind cases anymore and less would be stolen.
Not my favorite Target but useful for the necessity on an emergency stop. I need to add, prices are very good to compare against supermarkets. I think Target pricest are much better, so you save more. My biggest concern about this place has been the people who attend it. For some reason you run into your ghetto attitudes. There's a time to act like an adult and this should be the kind of place to act like one. Leave the ghetto fabulous lifestyle at home, we don't want it, need it or like it. The traffic is also a big concern due to the multiple large stores at this location and the Barclays Center across the street. This is my reason for giving it a 3 1/2 star rating.
So last week i was in targets, asked the batista(behind the counter) if he was the manager, he said yes i went on to show(my photos)& tell him I'm a photographer for Goggle Map can i feature the starbucks he said( "No, leave take your camera outside & take pictures of the sign in front of the store") so i asked him why would you be so rude & asinine ,disrespectful??? I didn't need his permission to take any photos, that's why im so confused. Security told me (i had to leave the store & not come back ! What did he tell ??? No one from security ever asked me what HAPPENED The Lieutenant asked was everything ok ,i said yes, he walked away LoL. Have Blessed Day
Extremely poor service. I could not get a manager to speak to. It was my understanding none was there. My server was terrible. After placing the order which was burger with coleslaw it took more than 45minutes to come. After waiting so long she gave me a lame excuse about the kitchen not being able to cook it. And had to start again. When finally the food did come it was lukewarm. I wanted to leave but because I was being treated I stayed. I did bring the meal home. Perhaps I will heat it up and try again. Would I go back NOOOO would I recommend this place for lunch. NOOOOO, NOOOOO, NOOOO.
Target is one of my favorite places to wander, get inspired, snag great deals, and feel like anything is possible. Genuinely, legitimately, and I frequent the Atlantic terminal location at least once a month. As a concept, I love target but I also love the culture of it, and the people. Shout out to Kaysia who was so helpful, cheerful, and friendly today giving me her insight on what Black Friday might be like if I dare to explore the deals upon deals target might be gifting us this holiday season. Five stars for target, five stars for Kaysia!
Best for affordable, new home and kitchen appliances but no cast-iron kitchenware in store. Great selection of Spring, Fall, and Summer clothing for men and women. Great options on clearance. Loads of toys for children. There are many tiny departments here that are niche and might help you in a pinch like books, shoes, cut resistant gloves, bicycles, etc. The outdoor furniture selection here is great. This store in general is also really well organized and neat, like the staff try to make it look picturesque.
Clean store and very helpful staff. Quick checkout and self service as well. Grocery dept. More than adequate. Not s mega selection, but more than sufficient. Ramp for the wheelchair brigade so no problem there. Plenty in the cosmetic dept. One item that always is my go to item is the cooked frozen shrimp. A great taste when added to certain noodle soups and on its own added to jasmine rice and peas and onions and of course some fine sliced garlic with a little soy sauce. Viola a quick and easy tasty dish.
I don’t recommend target Atlantic Avenue or city point if you suffer from allergies they allow dogs and in the store and I’ve seen people put the animals in the shopping cart I spoke with Management. They say that animals are not allowed in the shop, but they do not implement the their policies . I had to return a few items because I had a really bad reaction to them at home so if you have asthma or Skin, Issues should stay away from that store. Animals are wonderful people need to be mindful of others.
Over 3 years into the pandemic, and this Target is still constantly out of stock of 1000s of items. I can't believe they still cannot keep the shelves filled when most other stores seem to be caught up. And on top of that, they've started locking many items behind glass, so even if they do carry what you need, good luck getting an employee to let you buy it. There is truly no point in even bothering with this store. Guaranteed you will not get all, or any, of what you came in for.
Worse Target in the country. I waited severals hours for my " 2 hour pick up" and when i got to the store the item was not ready. At first the employee lied and said that they didn't have it. After I asked for the store manager she apologized and said that someone will go get it. I then waited another hour for a order i places for pick up 7 hours ago. This has happened to me like 10X and yet these useless employees are still there.
These clowns lock up the boxer shorts and 99 cent toothbrushes and then say "see, there's obviously a shoplifting epidemic! Otherwise why would we lock up the boxer shorts?" We're meant to completely forget that a year ago we could shop in a tenth of the time because we could just take things off the shelves, and gladly donate the hours of our lives to prevent a hypothetical point five percent shrink for Target. No thanks.
Enjoying coming here. I usually come once they open less the stress and traffic of people. Find everything in its place and neat. Today went in the afternoon hours and surprisingly there was no line in and out. I went in like a horse eyes straight and focus on what I had on the list because boy target has something that you go in for one thing and end up with a full shopping cart♀️.
The store is not the same ? Customer service is low now, when you go regular check out the cashiers just look at you and when you ask for help putting items in the bag they do not help you. I have been there few times and the self checkout line is the same as the cashier line long, plus there is no ventilation it vey hot there. Not worth going there any more, i recommend Costco
I just happened to be in the area and I went into the Target near Barclay Center. I was looking for a saucepan but discovered the price was absolutely to expensive for me,so I did not purchase it. I looked around and bought a Halloween mug, which they had a wonderful selection of different kinds so I bought one. It was an OK visit. I will go back when I'm in Brooklyn again.
Best department store in New York City, let alone best Target store in NYC. They have everything you need. Order Pickup is extremely fast and convenient. Employees definitely need improvement, but there are some very helpful ones. Be prepared for long checkout lines, you can't complain about the fact that they are always busy.
The last 3 times I went to target Atlantic mall I spent between $300-$500 and before leaving security asking for every item on my receipt while wasting an additional 45 mins of my time the last time I went I returned everything right there buy my toiletries out of dollar general or family dollar
Shopping at Target is always an amazing and awesomely unforgettable experience. My favorite shopping area is at Atlantic Terminal. I have to skillfully doge and run away from employees when I am in a hurry. They are very helpful and cooperative. I get what I need and more over there.
Placed an order online for store pickup. The line to retrieve my order moved pretty quickly, and the Target team member who brought out my items was friendly and efficient. The space is clean and organized. From what I could tell, this store seems well-run. I’d go back anytime.
It's annoying to constantly ask someone to open up plastic doors to get items. In the current times I understand their need to protect themselves from thieves, but what a horrible way to shop. I prefer other stores that have these disgusting thieves more under control.
Customer service and mangers very nice but security needs to step it up homeless people in the bathroom asking for money they have homeless ppl wondering the store stuffing their bags I’m in total shock it’s like they don’t see them security is literally doing nothing
This is my most nearby Target. I like it a lot for many items, something are cheaper at Duane Reade but most items are a satisfactory price here. The staff is really friendly and happy to help you. The person-checkout is WAY faster than the self-checkout.
They rip people of on a regular basis by indicating lower prices on the shelves to lure customers into buying the goods and then charging higher prices for those goods at the checkout. Also, the water-fountain for filling up water bottles does not work.
It’s a good store, but! But I don’t understand why they close the self-checkout an hour before the store closes? Because of this, a huge line appears at the standard cash registers, and the cashiers are very busy. On Saturday about 10 p.m.
Misleading pricing. For weeks now I notice a price difference between the tag on the shelf and the ring up price. Almost 25% increase on canned tomatoes for instance. Ofc it’s only 20 cents but this has gone on for weeks - and who knows
I had a fantastic experience with the assistance I received at the self-checkout from a woman named Athena (apologies if I misspelled her name). She kindly came to our aid, provided us with some useful codes, and offered helpful
Miserable to shop here since they put 80% of stuff locked behind glass. They clearly haven't increased staffing to actually unlock the cabinets for people. Waiting 10+ minutes to get some toothpaste is not a great experience.
I come here because it's convenient but last time it was too crowded and it felt like something was about to go down. I ended up leaving early just to get out of there. It wasn't even a Saturday. People just felt on edge.
Order pick up at Atlantic Ave location is so convenient, professional, fast, polite. I was very impressed with the service I will always order pickup if I can. And the line moves fast bc there are many reps helping.
Target can be a bit pricey but I enjoy the customer service, whatever you need all the employees are helpful and have knowledge of all merchandise, your not romaning around aimlessly. Thank you Target
Came here specifically for eggs. When I reached the fridge......BARE.Bought some other goodies though. They should really keep it stocked.Keep them eggs coming.Especially elsewhere they want a fortune.
Target is a wonderful place to go visit. I'll just walk and enjoy all the beautiful things they have inside the store. Making my list for the next shopping adventure. Which are far and few between.
A little messy store and employee didn’t know where the Christmas cards were. Its the busiest season and she pointed to the stationary section. Atlantic Avenue needs a overhaul in management.
Great staff, lots of options and the checkout line always goes by like a breeze. I love the garlic knots from pizza hut they sell, it's a great addition to my experience there!
I love Target’s pick up in store option I’ve managed to get my hands on some last minute items before they’ve sold out. The service is great to use for quick in and outs.
Loveeee target. Whenever I’m bored I just go there for fun. Also prices are so good. Quality is good. Lots of options and they have all the things you could ever image.
I WAS TREATED SOOOO UNFAIR THEY ACCUSED ME OF ATTEMPTING TO STEAL AN FIRCED ME TO LEAVE WHILE ESCORTING ME OUT WITH 4 CIOS AND 3 WORKERS SOOOO EMBARRASSED
I didn’t expect that electronic products would be so popular among Asians. An iPad costs an extra $35. Any tip? ? ? ? Does your boss know about this?
target they are professionals, this store is among the largest in Brooklyn with a strategic location with access to several trains and subways …
Clean and organized store. Unfortunately, you have to obtain help for certain items that have to be locked behind plastic cases because of stealing.
Every backpack that I’ve gotten from hair has broke and been destroyed because there soo cheap and honestly it just getting annoying at this point.
20 self serve check out machines. Zero available. Huge queue for human check out. Faster to find another store or get delivered. Don’t bother ..!
Went in to get one item. The store was very clean and organized. The restroom was clean and there was no long lines. I came at the right time.
The store is a medium size lot . This locations is always fully stocked and have majority of products you can find at any other target .
My time there was great. I met with some very pleasant store clerks and a cashier who went ubove and beyond with her services today.
What can you say about Target? This is one of the go-to places for a little bit of a lot. Target is up there in the top 10.
Get ready to wait 30 mins to check out. It’s ridiculous. Not enough checkers and multiple self check out machines are down
It's a wonderful place to do some shopping for food clothing and drinks It was a wonderful experience …
Sometimes confusing layout, lackluster customer service. Kind of expensive. But they've got what you need in one place.
Target is a target! I will only buy selected items in Brooklyn target, when I can't get it in the Bronx target.
Pretty well stocked and clean. Some of the staff were a little bit curt. I did find some helpful staff though.
Still pricey, clothes are VERY expensive. Home wares, sheets, comforters, home decor extremely expensive
Target always provides options and abundant brands for almost anything. I got in and got out seamlessly!
It's good place, helpful and very friendly staff. It's not expensive and my go to place for shopping.
Great staff, good prices, perfect location near multiple trains and buses. Can get very crowded.
ok. stuffs. i bought a glue and it is dry inside. hope i can return. prices are high always
One of the biggest Targets -usually a nice selection of home decor items and well stocked
As usual, I enjoy time in Target. I leave quickly, I could go broke there. …
They didn't have anything I needed. Target in NY has nothing very disappointing.
Great store wonderful customer service and baby registry gift bag was available
Great customer service. Clean store. Felt safe with all the security as well.
Great and easy experience from ordering online to the in store pick up
