I doubt management at Target reads these reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience today - specifically with Target 'mobile'. I recognize that today is Black Friday. I have worked in retail before. Things are chaotic. Sometimes you are understaffed, customers can be difficult, etc. I get it. That does not make it acceptable to straight up *lie* to people repeatedly, especially after they have been waiting in your store for SEVEN hours. All for the sake of sales. In the past 24 hours, I personally witnessed several other customers be severely inconvenienced by these untruths - thinly veiled and morally bankrupt sales tactics. I won't go into details about the specifics of my situation today, but ask anyone who came into the electronics department today and they would know that I was essentially a permanent fixture as I waited, from 8am to 3pm, for the Target Tech/Mobile department to activate a new iPhone for me. It was like a nightmare you couldn't wake from. To add insult to injury, I walked away empty handed (and hungry and dehydrated)... In a lot of cases, these type of scathing reviews are unfair, and not entirely truthful. There are 2 sides to every story and at least SOME of the fault lies with the customer in some way. While I don't proclaim to be perfect, and I despise playing the 'victim', I can assure you my tumultuous experience today was ENTIRELY due to their poor handling and management. I plan to share details of my encounter today with everyone that I know. My household will not spend a single dollar at Target again - which is disappointing because I always saw them as "the good guys", especially as a better alternative to the big blue W. Edit: I want to be clear, I was not waiting the entire time to be helped. That was only the first 1.5 hours. I was being 'helped" for the 5.5 hours after that.
The Nashville West Target is a great spot to take the kids to find these treasures of the past! It just might be the first time that you visit the store and not leave with a lighter wallet! Pulling into the shopping center off of Charlotte Pike, find a parking spot on the far left along the enormous rock wall. The rock is part of the Catheys formation. Mostly limestone and shale from the Ordovician age... approximately 450 million years old. On reaching the wall you'll see a large amount of loose rock on the ground. Be careful not to stay too close where rock from above can fall, and also be careful to not twist your ankle walking along the loose rock, but look closely... You'll found an assortment, but primarily brachiopods which were clam-like filter feeds that lived on the seafloor during the Paleozoic Era. The Red Caboose site previously posted about has a better assortment, but the Nashville West Target is still a great stop with plenty of good specimens to find. The kids will love it.
This place was very sterotypic the worker's we're very rude and disrespectful I was cursed at threatened and my two kids was cursed at and threatened I was followed around by staff who continued to use foul language the disrespectful behavior was so much my daughter and son was in tears and the worker's thought it was funny my kids was crying because of the the way we we're being treated and not to Mention they had my very good friend arrested for stealing but he has never been at this store in his life and when it went to court they had to drop the charges on him because he was at work at the time they accused him of stealing the loss prevention tell is a joke this store is a joke to save his friend from going to jail he placed blame on my good friend because he doesn't like him but in court he beat the charges we are talking to lawyer's about what actions can be taken
Man soliciting money in parking lot: My friend and I parked in the Charlotte Pike Target parking lot on Sunday around noon. A man knocked on my driver-side window before I ever got out of my car. I cracked the window and he asked me for money for a gallon of gas for his light green Honda van parked a few spaces away. The van has major dents/damage to the driver-side door. I was startled and uncomfortable in the situation. I ended up giving him a few bucks so he would leave me alone. When we left Target about an hour later, he was still circling the lot looking for people to accost. I saw him pacing outside his van, looking for cars pulling in, then looking into the backseat through an open side window. I don't know if he had anyone else with him, or if he posed any danger. I am disappointed that the parking lot at this store isn't more secure.
Nick working the cash register on 10/28 around 5pm at the Starbucks was extremely rude. He barely said two words to us and even rolled his eyes once. He was a Target employee because he had a Target name tag. The girl making the drinks said at one point “I want to go in the back and cry.” Nick followed her comment by saying “I need to go in the back and get the hell out of here.” We ordered at 4:53, we’re still sitting here waiting on our drinks and I’ve seen Nick and the girl he’s working with be completely rude to about 6 other customers. The only reason as to why I’m giving this review two stars is because I’ve never had a bad experience at this store and employees are always extremely friendly. However, this is unacceptable. Nick and Barista, if you hate your jobs so much, quit. Your horrible attitudes are not appreciated.
Ok. I'm gonna be honest here. I can't afford to shop here frequently and believe me. I would if I could. This Target doesn't offer nearly as many services as the Walmart just down the road, but that's honestly not a bad thing. In fact, less is more. They may offer less, but each item and service is definitely higher quality than Walmart. Aside from your usual shopping needs, you also have an eye doctor, a CVS pharmacy, and a Starbucks. The staff here are genuinely helpful and will help you with anything you need. There's not much more to say. It's Target and it's great. Definitely a go to if you're in the area. Oh, and I forgot to mention: they have Tesla chargers to keep your Tesla charged while you shop. It's a win-win for Tesla owners.
I was just spoken to very rudely from a female claiming to be a manager. She was loud and frustrated that I wanted a logical explanation about a return. All cases are not black and white.... I only assume that she was challenged that I would not turn and lleave when she dismissed me......ut she wouldn't answer my question. She just cut me off and very rudely. Another Target Member stepped in and politely asked her '' was there nothing that she could do for the customer " She again said she had explained the stores policy and I needed to leave. I'm very disappointed in her inability to be polite and reasonable. I spend money because I like your atmosphere and quality..... a manager should know better...... no excuse.
Rudest lady this morning 8:30 am at self check out. I asked her to please check two items that rang up different dollar amounts than the price on the target app she grunted at me and fixed the prices. Then there was some buy so many items get a gift card. I grabbed the gift card and scanned it the register kept beeping at me and she rudely accused me of not following the directions. I showed her I did and another grunt. I’m like wt…….. first off I was not rude to her and it was 8:30 in the morning and there was no line. Target, yes customer service during the holidays is brutal. Please train your people better there was no reason for unnecessary attitude this morning. Y’all deserve zero stars
I came in as I had an emergency and the stalls in the men's bathroom were taken. I rushed to the family restroom for a whole of two minutes. Washed up grabbed my grocery bag as I ride the bus and was out shopping. I looked at their food bar at the front of the store. Nothing suited me so I left and as I left what appeared to be a Titans linebacker was standing at the door staring at me shirt reading "assets protection". Okay I thought "Someone must be stealing" I searched for my drink in my bag and waited to see the petty theif only to turn around and see him walking back in. I APPARENTLY WAS THE SUSPECTED PETTY THEIF! DISGUSTING! I won't be back I'm not getting tackled by Shaq!!!
I tried to shop here Saturday morning. The store was aweful. Product everywhere...except the shelves. I recently moved to Nashville and cannot believe how bad Target is here. More product was out of stock than was on the shelves. All the employees where standing around talking or on their phones. There was actually one person with sweat bottoms on, wearing a red shirt and nametag. I am TOTALLY confused why this disaster of a store is accepted. When did WalMart become the pacesetter for service? This place looked more like a typical flea market with no manager. I would love to hear from the leadership here to ellaborate more.... if you are interested in our experience
Im in the parking lot still because I did not want to forget. The customer rep Mo is awesome. She was able to help me even though my request was unusual I think. I had lost my receipt and thrown the box for some earbuds I bought a little over a month ago. When she didn’t knew the answer she asked I believe her supervisor for help. I wasn’t able to get my receipt as I needed it for a warranty return as the device I bought became defective, however, Mo still was able to help me make the return. In other places, the rep would have just told me they couldn’t help at all and I would have pretty much lost close to $200. Thanks Mo and I hope you get a raise soon!!!
We got the run around on Target online trying to find a specific Christmas gift for my daughter. They kept saying it was in stock, then sending it to different Targets in Nashville. Within 20 minutes of calling and asking if there were any at this location and being told there were 3 - I get an email saying suddenly 0 were available. We were pretty frazzled but a gentleman in electrics helped us. He looked in the back and was to find one last of the item we were looking for!! We'd been all over town and were getting no help and he took the time to go out of his way to look and help us. He truly made our Christmas better. Thank you!
OH my. What is wrong with this store??? There are people all over the store but no one is doing anything while the store is all over the floor!! Please help us Target. This is the worst store I have ever seen. Why?? I asked an employee what happened. They just shrugged and said "everyone hates working here and won't do anything. Everyone keeps quitting because it is so bad to work for these people." I ask that someone from Target please contact me or reply to this post. I have to find a numver to Target corporate. Please reply if you know it I am embarrassed for you and I am so sorry for anyone who has to work at this locale.
Worst target in Nashville, not up to real target standards. Most ratchet target I’ve ever been inside. Very rude employees, even for a pandemic. Unwilling to work with you when you’re confused. I tried to make a simple return with a receipt but even though I only have TWO cards I could have made the purchase with, I tried both, I still HAD to receive store credit. The purchase was just a few days old but I still got forced into accepting store credit. Clearly this target hires scam artists for employees to save money, DO NOT SHOP HERE. Go to White Bridge, they are MUCH cleaner AND nicer.
As usual, one of my favorite discount retailers to the rescue. We had a graduation meal for my son, who just graduated from Meharry Medical College and is now the families first doctor, Jamel E Moss. So in celebration, we put together a family barbecue only to realize that the grill being used was much too small to handle the amount of food we we serving. Even though I'm not from Nashville, I was able to locate a Target from a reasonable distance, found what I need, and I am happy again, and our perfect day was able to continue... Thanks for all you do, Target!
My daughter and I love Target. I have two that I favor; but, have been in many. I went to West Nashville on Charlotte Avenue Saturday, it’s always lively and usually have what you need. This Target never looks ravaged and even when stock is out or out of place, you see employees working to stock or clean up. I also like the mini check out for five items, that is very helpful. We were going to Target before it was the place to be and I know people who would ask me “why Target”? My answer every time, “they have what I need”.
Target!!! Get your S#!T together. Why so sloppy? Product missing, clothing racks mangled, medicine tossed around, shoes thrown about! Bit most importantly, what the H-E- happened in the women's bathroom?? It has slowly gone downhill, but today was a new low. Trash was everywhere, stalls were filthy, supplies were unavailable, and little soap was available. Gross. I'm sure it's been a loooong time since anything was cleaned in there. Very disappointed in the lack of care put into the store.
TERRIBLE customer service. Don’t order ahead unless you want them to jerk you around, tell you they don’t know when your order will be ready, impossible to plan pickup and REFUSED to expedite order for my newborns diapers. We are completely out and my husband waited there for over an hour. I ordered ahead online, they charged me, and would not fulfill my order when my husband arrived. Refund will take 3 days, so in the mean time I will be double charged for diapers UNREALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrance in electronics went above and beyond helping us. According to Targets website, this Target had a canopy we were wanting. When we get there, they do not have it. Terrance checked in the back for us & then contacted another Target a couples miles away. They had one so he had them bring it to their service desk with our name on it. When we got to the other Target, it was ready to go! Thanks, Terrance! He could’ve easily blew us off but showed great customer service!
Sadie was great! She brought out my order and was at my car within literally 2 seconds of me pulling in. She was super friendly and personable! We talked for a moment and it made the experience really great. I tried to call the store to speak with a team lead about how amazing she was but my call wasn’t answered. I’ve only had great experiences with drive up at this store. I’d give Sadie a ton of great reviews if possible, she was genuinely so nice and wonderful!
to night i was at charlottes target. my husband was trying something and i went with him to the familly fitting room but target employee told me(with loud voice) ; you cant go there!!!!! we said why?? because you are under 18! she said. and I said :” do you want see my ID?i am 29 years old. then she said you haven’t child! you arn’t familly!!!!! she made us upset! and we left the store! that was first time I heard this!
Very unprofessional staff ranging from the clerks to the manager. I have requested a call from the district manager and the manager in general at the store and still waiting over a week later. I am in the process of submitting a complaint with the better business bureau against this location. I would avoid buying anything cell phone related and avoid letting the represenitive working electronics to activate it.
This Target store on Charlotte Pike in Nashville is perhaps the best-run Target we've seen anywhere in the United Sates. Staff is extremely friendly, and it is clean and stocked and organized with an order that is unnatural in big-box retail. At noon on a recent day it looked as if the store had just opened, afresh -- and everyone had spent the entire night perfecting the placement of every item in the store.
Worst experience with target optical yesterday (8/28/18). They don’t care how urgent you need your glasses. We called them after 8days to follow up for my glasses and told us that it’s still not available. I went to store to refund my order and found out that my glasses was just sitting there. There’s 3 employees at that time with no customer, they are just busy chatting to each other. Terrible!!!!
I placed an order this morning at 8am for curbside pick up (which typically takes 2 hours) and it’s now 4:30pm and there’s no update. I tried calling the store a few times and no one answered. They may be short staffed or something but it should be posted online or somewhere stating this service is not available. I would not place a pick up or curb side order at Nashville West Target store.
Over Priced On Simple Items. It's been a while since I shopped TGT. I was at the Best Buy a couple doors down. Figure TGT will have envelopes and dividers for a binder. Could not find the envelopes. 5 dividers were priced at $3.49. Found 5 dividers at Kroger for $1.49. I've long viewed TGT as over priced for the quality. I much prefer SteinMart and Nordstrom for price/value equation.
The service desk rep was very unfriendly and gave me my mattress pad without even offering to place it in a bag. I had to ask for a bag. She acted like I was inconveniencing her at even being at the desk. It was not a good shopping experience. I had planned to do more shopping in addition to picking up my order but because of her attitude I just got my item and exited the store.
This store use to be so well put together. Now it reminds me of going to Burlington. Just stuff everywhere & unorganized. I usually spend quite some time & money in Target but just looking around it was overwhelming & annoying. Who wants to pick through a bunch of stuff that's tossed all around. Self checkout is too long & there aren't enough of the regular lines open.
I usually have a wonderful shopping experience here at this particular location. But when we were checking out,Our cashier,Danielle, was VERY rude. She wouldn’t talk to me or my mom.But she smiled at the woman behind us.I love this target and will shop here again. But I just hope that we don’t turn up at that kind of treatment again.
I am so frustrated with you people. After holding forever and traveling nearly 2 hours to get an tree that you said you had....The wrong item was put at the customer service desk. The trees were the same price and it was purchased and brought all the way home on the assurance it was the right one.... such a wasted day. Thank u.
Love this Target! It is in a great location, I always find what I need, and the place is clean, clean, CLEAN! Starbucks inside the store is wonderful. Always a great shopping experience! The cashiers are always so friendly and personable, even late at night or when they are really busy.. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Today I went their to get a white mocha for me and banana bread for my kids... when I saw the place where they put all the sandwiches and the cakes, there were so many bugs were flying there. My kids didn’t want to eat from there. But I still ordered my mocha. And now my stomach is hurting so bad.. will never go back
Store was clean---gal up front was wiping every single cart handle, she greeted me WITH A MASK ON, which gave me some peace of mind in this crazy world. Best online order for pickup experience ever. I am now dropping Walmart's dirty store on Charlotte for the Target store in Nashville West.
things were in stock, CHRIS in electronics/toys was MOST helpful of all, the pegs of the action figures I was looking for were empty, he went back and checked and almost ALL were back there, street dated and waiting to be put out. Thanks SO MUCH to Chris there! GET THE MAN DONUTS!!
Pharmacy staff person was not accommodating. Read from a paper concerning the booster shot and required getting an appointment which had not been the case at the White Bridge location that was giving the booster shot with no hassle or requiring a statement from a primary physician.
This place is the worst. The only person working is a pharmacist and they are giving vaccinations and trying to fill scripts and check out customers at the same time. Always at least a 15 min wait. Tried calling and waited almost 50 mins. No one bothered to pick up. So ridiculous.
Target really amped up the toy and electronics section to include nerds, geeks, and other alternative culture with some higher end collectibles and other stuff. I'm impressed. Not sure if they are trying to compete with GameStop or other online retailers but I'm glad they did it.
Great prices, and products, and the curbside pickup service is quick and amazing. The staff is so helpful and polite, and after only a few times using the drive up option, it's now my #1 way to shop for anything I possibly can order that way. This location is absolutely amazing!
The store was mostly tidy with the exception of some disorganized items here and there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I disliked was how densely the store was packed, but can you really help that? Haha, not easily, no. Overall it was a great experience.
I had an employee following me throughout the store, watching everything I did. He even walked behind me to the front door. I guess he thought I was there to steal the $15 worth of items I had since I'm not a white soccer mom like all the other customers here. …
Just left the location using self checkout. The girl attending the area was not sanitizing the self checkout after each customer. I had to ask to spray it down. First time I’ve seen someone NOT sanitize. Lazy or no care is my guess. 3:45 pm is when I was in there.
I love shopping at Target, particularly at the Nashville West store! Employees are very helpful & the shelves are well-stocked! The only problem is that I always find so many things I “just have to have” beyond what I originally thought I needed! Not a bad thing!
Decent shopping experience. It is a cleaner, more civil version of Walmart. That should sell you on it alone. However, this store does not accept WIC cards. The Target website says it does. The WIC sites say it does. Reality is another story, I'm afraid.
Love Target but 3 times over the last year I have stopped there for undershirts and that department/area, the socks, underwear and t-shirts always looks like they had a huge sale or going out of business. Very few products and in such disarray. Trashed.
The worker helped me and my family understand how to work the device, she went through every step possible until we felt comfortable doing it on our own... After her help it was a blast going through things i would love to have for my daughter!
Very busy target! With as much traffic as this store gets, it does get a bit messy. Self checkout is really nice, just wish they had more registers. Disappointed that the little pizza hut area is always closed, but starbucks is always open.
TARGET truly operates by putting their customers first. Product quality is superb. Location is great. Everything I need is in the store. On my way out, I usually stop to get 2 bags of popcorn for my mom and I and a beverage from STARBUCKS!
They have coca-cola icees, but it is your average big box corporate evil store. PS I looked at the bikes and they are all put together wrong or broken, but they have icees and pretzels, so I guess I'll take the good with the bad.
The target on Charlotte Pike is horrible. They will not honor there own adds. Tried to upgrade a cell phone there and they would not honor the price on thwir website. The managers were no help at all. Buyers beware here.
The selection is on par with the store on White Bridge, but the cashiers are generally quite a bit better, and get people checked out relatively quickly. It's still hard to find staff in the rest of the store, however.
Nice store and well kept. My only complaint is at the checkout lanes. The whole area is cramped and they seem to be understaffed resulting in longer waiting times than other Target stores I've visited.
Prices vary, I was actually a little surprised when their prices on some of the TV home entertainment Electronics beat Walmart's prices such as on their Samsung Soundbars and wireless subwoofers …
So happy they just got self check out, I never get a full buggys worth of stuff at Target, so having to wait in line behind all the people with carts was an inconvenience. Other than that love Target.
As for me, I just enjoy shopping here because I know that I can always find what I'm looking for and in the process I usually find something that I wasn't looking for. The associates are wonderful.
As good as a Target experience gets. Parking is easy, employees are plentiful and helpful, the store is clean and organized, and the products/prices are exactly what you expect at a Target.
Nice staff, clean store, efficient layout. I would say it's similar to an upscale Walmart. Bathrooms have a chart that are checked hourly for cleanliness as well. No nasty bathrooms there.
Love Target but don't know like their prices. In this day and time we all want a deal and there wasn't a very big selection of CDs. It's always clean and the employees are pretty nice.
I was just there for less than 20 minutes buying a fry pan, and someone clearly scratched my car with a car key. I’m not sure if you can help me out who did this on your cam. …
Isiah in Optical was fantastic to work with. He is knowledgeable, provides great feedback and has a great personality. I highly recommend trying Target Optical and ask for Isiah!
Very poor customer service been waiting almost 4 hours for controller and the manager Robert on duty as a manager said he couldn’t do anything to accommodate me as loyal customer
I used curbside pickup and between the app and that it was a great experience. Shopping on the app was seamless. I was able to search for items and get recommendations on items.
My first shopping trip inside a store in 3 months. Some surprises related to sparsely stocked areas of store not related to paper and cleaning supplies. Otherwise, enjoyed it.
It's aight. Not unlike any other Target. Clean store, but most items can be found cheaper at the Walmart down the street, though their store is not as nice as the Target.
Of all the Target stores I've been to, this one has been the best maintained. The store has always been clean, the employees have always been friendly to me and helpful.
The best retail experience I've had in America. Fully stocked, friendly staff, great selection of upper-middle class items at affordable prices. Great food section.
Bummer never found what I was looking for. But Bob and his female associate were pleasantly nice. Thanks Bob 4 stopping to help and being kind to my autistic child.
Usually have desired items at a competitive price. Excellent selection and sales on most items. Wish they had more hardware, but this is not in their sales profile.
Had a very nice interaction with an employee at 10:30 on a Friday night- I just wanted to get in and get home, and their excellent customer service was appreciated!
I Had An Amazing Shopping Experience Today. Your Employee Faith Was SUCH An Sweet Heart! She Was So Kind And Patient With Me. I Can Definitely Say I Will Be Back.
Always consistent. Target NASHVILLE West, always provides stellar service, products and although the store is under renovation, still easy to navigate throughout.
This Target location is superb, as most Target locations in the South are. I like The clean, tidy store and layout. And the Target Up &Up brand is quality.
There were three people in the store, my order was wrong, it took a long time, they don't honor gold status starbucks member rewards here... worst SB ever
The best Target in Nashville (open till 11PM)! Also, has a great Starbucks inside (open till 10PM)! The staff at both are top notch, excellent service!
The Nashville West store is well managed. Plenty of checkout people and helpful people in the Self checkout. There's never a line at customer service.
Staff is helpful. Aisles are wide enough for the shopping carts. Willing to open up check out lines. Good prices and service. What more can you ask?
Good experience. Nice friendly and helpful employee at check out ( Catlain) on Sunday 3/7. Helped us and show us the app. Very clean and nice store.
This Target store is clean, well stocked, and with friendly, helpful staff. Products are impressive and I see new things in the works. Great store!
If you know me, you know I love Target! They never let me down. Beautiful, clean stores - stocked with quality items at a manageable price point.
Overall disappointing. Target is just on the slide. Only products we came here for are never in stock. Sadly have to support Amazon over target.
Nashville West is one of our favorite Target locations. Especially if you're traveling from west to east, don't wait for another one. Stop here.
I bought a television and went for pickup. They provide me very good service and nice behavior. They helped me to fit the television in my car.
I love this place. It has everything I need and even has a grocery area! I love how cheap things are and the electronics there are amazing.
Pretty good selection, but the store is disgusting, especially the bathrooms. You can tell they haven't been cleaned well in a long time.
The employees are always very friendly and the items in the store are wonderful! There’s always lots to choose from...a great selection!
Always clean when I go there. However, the wait times in checkout lines are starting to increase. They have less lanes open these days.
The employees at Target will actually help you and they aren't worried about checking your receipt like that off the wall mart place.
Everything you'd expect from Target - clean and well organized. However, the fresh food prices definitely include a convenience tax.
Watch out for the hyper aggressive AT&T salespeople. Target management won’t do anything about their behavior in this store.
Excellent place to dissociate in. Good Lego selection. Groceries are overpriced, but that's to be expected at any Target.
DUSTY guy with locks needs an attitude adjustment and needs to learn how to help woke with he Wallet app. He’s clueless.
They always have large variety of the items I use in my everyday life. The store was cleans and the staff was courteous.
Staff is always friendly and helpful, place is always clean. Target is my happy place so I have no bad things to say
This Is a wonderful store. Lots of variety of things to choose from. People were very friendly here loved it.
Typical Target stuff. Very clean and well maintained and well stocked. Employees seem pretty nice.
Used to be 5 stars but it changed. Bathrooms arent as great and a stupid redesign of the store.
I love this store! It's very convenient and as a Red Card holder I'm in here 2-3 times a week.
The sales people hassling me about DIRECTV makes me really wanna shop online
It's a decent Target. Generally clean, stocked well, helpful employees, etc.
This Target is always organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful
I was looking for Christmas presents here and found very little for boys!
