I am very surprised to read all this positive feedback about Tassell Automotive in Castle hill and the service that Guy Jason and Steve offered . I wonder if they are all sincere? Well let me and my 18 years old son be the 1st to share with existing and future customers of Tassell Automotive that the way we were both spoken to and treated today was unacceptable ,after spending over $7500 in the last 6 months. Guy had fixed my sons Ford Probe a few times .The last job was the steering rack. After we went to get the car to have a wheel alignment another mechanic found fault in the steering rack and told us to go back to Tassell as it was under warranty and that it was their responsibility to repair the fault. It was not centered . We went back and explained the situation to Guy .Guy refused to fix the fault claiming that another mechanic had tampered with the car . No one has touch the car as its my sons pride and joy .We told him that it under warranty and that he had to fix the fault he made originally. To our dismay ,Guy refused to fix it saying "he doesn't do free jobs ".Its not a free job,but clearly a job under warranty of which Tassell should be responsible for . At no time did he want to listen and discuss another alternative for us ,so we left and now my son and i is $400 out of pocket and will have to save to pay another mechanic to repair his fault,if not repaired this car is unsafe to drive . I am disgusted with the unsatisfactory treatment we were given today.I gave him business and this is how he treats me and my son .I am sure we wont be the last unhappy customer Tassell will have . We don't deserve this ,all we wanted was our car fixed under warranty . Shame on you Guy. 15/02/14 Guy, the feedback wasn't biased. Let's get this clear, we simply are only talking about a steering rack which was installed by you on 30/08/13, on invoice no. 128253, costing us a total $1,674.00. The parts were all supplied & installed by you. All we wanted was for the fault to be fixed under it's 6 months warranty. We understand that there are consequences buying parts online & we are not driven by low cheap cost nor do we want you to compromise your quality parts. Don't beat around the bush by blaming the customer for other parts & taking to other mechanics etc. as it just shows you DO NOT take responsibility & ACCOUNTABILITY for your workmanship. For those existing & future customers of Tassell Automotive who cannot get their repairs fixed to satisfaction we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go to The HILLS AUTO CENTRE, in TOONGABBIE.

Absolute rip off, and untrustworthy. I was told to drop my car off and they would let me no what service I required. They call me and say $700 for a basic oil change with new oil filter, and new air filter. On top of was told I should not drive another day without new brake pads as they we practically metal on metal but they could change them today for $1150. I told them don't worry about the brakes, or the service because it was to expensive. They told me they had already started draining the oil so the service would have to go ahead. For the same job Tassal Automotive quoted: - $700 for a service. - $1150 front and rear brake pads. Lubemobile for my cars make and model quoted: - $300 for the same service. - $500 for front and rear brake pads. Absolute Joke !! But it was to late I had to pay $700 for the service, when I get in my car back the service odometer was still on the same amount of km's (3400) and date (07/2019) as when I dropped it off, although they had charged me $30 to reset it? Tassal Automotive told me it was because of the brake pads need to be serviced and reset, although they told me I was near metal on metal, the car is saying I have 3400 km's ? not to mention I have never heard of a car having a sensor for brake pad service like Tassal automotive was saying? Bottom line they make it up as they go, are untrustworthy and overpriced, be careful before booking in, be aware of: - $130 per hour for labour. - Over double the price as Lubemobile for the same work. - Use scare tactics for you to get work done.

A good couple of thousands was spent with Tassell to carry out repairs on my car. I asked Guy to fix everything that he could see and I told him that I want this car to run beautifully with no issues for the next couple of years. I found my self coming back a couple of times a month due to more problems that where not diagnosed. I thought Guy was a reliable trustworthy mechanic but I was proven wrong. In one of my major repairs a new steering rack was put in, although it was not centered. Guy refused to repair it even though it was still under its 6 months warranty and quoted me 'I don't believe in free work'. Guy tried to blame other people at fault which is highly unprofessional. In the end I'm left with a steering rack not centered and a unaligned car that will be needing new tires soon. I'm not angry nor upset just disappointed in the way you treat a customer that has spent a-lot of money trusting you to fix one little simple thing. This is not to give Tassell a bad name its just to share my experience with them.

Guy is a top bloke. I’ve used his services in the past as well. He’s very genuine but on this occasion he went above and beyond his words just won me over - “Don’t worry Ash, I was just helping a mate in need”. Last Thu I was rushing to the city for an important meeting. Driving behind a 4x4, I didn’t see a pothole and debris/rock around it. Heard a bang and upon checking noticed a leak. Short on time, not wanting to take any chances especially as I needed the car for something even more important that evening and wee hours next day, I turned towards Guy’s workshop. Not only did he accomodate me on short notice, did a thorough inspection, but communicated well all along to give me peace of mind and assured me he’ll do his best to have the car ready for me by COB. I was lucky to avoid damage. Guy didn’t charge me... instead his words were, “Don’t worry Ash, I was just helping a mate in need”. Thanks mate, you’re a top guy and I can and will recommend you to anyone needing automotive repairs/service.

Took my car in for an issue I was having due to a faulty starter motor. Guy spent time and effort diagnosing the issue and further investigated the cause of the issue online. He found it to be a known issue with Holden which was covered by an extended 10 year warranty. He advised me to take the car into Holden as they would cover the cost of the repair. Guy provided me all the required information and articles he printed so I took it to Holden and they fixed it for no cost. This just proves to me how HONEST and RELIABLE Guy is. Guy could have easily fixed the car and charged me for it, however he went out of his way, provided me all the facts and saved me thousands. My experience with Guy and the team has always been exceptional, doing the job with integrity, care and professionalism makes the customer not question anything you guys do. Thanks, and very much appreciate the honesty. Would highly recommend Tassell Automotive...

Irresponsible. My trust and confidence in their service were categorically betrayed not only once but twice. One was that they had overlooked a serious water pump leak while a logbook service. The other was the faulty and incomplete repair work on the water pump that they had overlooked in the first place. Is this a coincidence or their quality?? Maybe, they have got a serious labour resource constraint to a degree that mechanics would not be able to perform their jobs properly because of mismanagement of the proprietor. They promote themselves as a boutique and reputable service provider, but absolutely not worth it. I paid the premium price and was much worse off. It is so frustrating to hear the excuse after excuse. Everyone makes mistakes, but you should admit it when you did if you really wanna be a reputable boutique service provider.

Unwelcoming, unorganised, unreliable and overpricing. Firstly, they booked me on a wrong date which was very annoying....secondly, the time frame for fixing the car was much more than what they claimed would be in the beginning when i made the booking over the phone so i had to wait three hours around the place before they finish the job.Obviously, they were busy doing other cars....and finally, I feel that I was ripped off with the price. They charged me $180 (only labour) for a basic car service, including changing oil and filter. As if they spent one and half hour time to do this job !! After I got a quotation from ultra tune in castle hill for a full lube service, they quoted me $105 for the same job. For sure, this is gone be my first and last visit from Tassell automotive.

Went there the first time and I was happy with what they said and suggested plus pricing, so then I went there second time with another car and booked it for service. Service was OK although they charged too much and they did not even include number of hours and labour rate / hr on receipt. After this service an issue immediately started to appear with the breaks and since they did some servicing on the breaks I obviously went back to them. When they checked they said that it is not a break issue but some other issue that they are not specialised on it and so they referred us to another "specialist". Basically it seems that they were not able to do the job and to take responsibility for what they did before. So now never again I will go again or recommend their services.

The team at Tassell Automotive have been looking after my cars for a number of years now and their service has been amazing. Their knowledge on all types and brands of cars has been faultless and this flows well into how they communicate with me on what they need to do and the parts required. One part of this that really impresses me, is that the old parts are kept aside and they show you what was worn/broken and I feel this is a great initiative that builds trust. I truly know that I’m dealing with a team that values honesty and integrity. The team are also very responsive when you have an issue with your car outside of normal servicing. It’s great to know that I can call them, get advice and get a car booked in quickly to keep me on the move.

So impressed I have found our family Mechanic finally. Went to 3 different mechanics prior to luckily being introduced to Guy and Steve ( really nice guys) who found what ended up being a really obvious problem ( 3 massive slits in this huge hose) as soon as they had it up on the hoist. Went over and above to explain how it works and what had happened in Laymans terms but then crafted a custom turbo something hose to save me about $1000! From the minute I spoke to them they were friendly helpful and you didn’t feel like an idiot ! To be honest I’ve never experienced anything like it from the mechanic and I can’t wait to take my other car back there. Sounds weird saying that! Well fine guys no wonder you have been around do long and look busy!

I had a bad leak under my steering wheel because I hit a speed bump by accident. I booked in and got the car towed to Tassell as this was the same mechanic which the car had been serviced prior to me purchasing. As the car was in immaculate condition when I purchased I thought this place must be trust worthy. They charged me $950 and said it was for a high pressure steering hose replacement. Two weeks later after regular use the car has the exact same leak.. they have charged me way too much for a dodgy patch job. As this was never the case with the previous owner (a white make) I am beginning to think this was maybe race related. Never the less, stay away from these guys they’ll take your money and not fix your car.

Thank you to Guy and the staff at Tassell Automative! I went to Tassell for the first time yesterday and they all went above and beyond to attend to my Jeep's mechanical issue including assisting me to get to work after dropping off my car which was such a huge help! My car was fixed quickly and efficiently and their pricing is very reasonable and fair. They are the most trustworthy and honest mechanic I have dealt with ever and I will not go to anyone else after my experience. I have already booked in again for my next service and highly recommend them to everyone. I live in Kurrajong yet will still travel to Castle Hill for them to attend to my car - its 100% worth it. Cant recommend tassell automotive enough, the workshop is the cleanest mechanic I have ever been too and the staff are very helpful. The owner, Guy puts his customers first and makes sure their needs are met before leaving the shop. Very organsied company and has customer service you would not expect from a mechanic. I recently had my car serviced at the dealership which i bought the car off and they advised me i needed over $3000 worth of repairs that needed to be done asap, I rang Guy for a second opinion and he had a look over my Car the next day, turns out the repairs arent so urgent and wont need to be done for around 10,000 kms! Thanks Guy and the team at Tassell Automotive.

Guy and his team have been nothing but diligent and honest when working on, and offering advice on my cars. I’ve spent thousands at dealerships to diagnose and resolve problems that weren’t even real. Tassell’s has offered genuine advice and done only what was required at a fraction of the cost of the dealerships. In one case they even diagnosed a problem a dealership should have (and clearly had) picked up under warranty after being notified about it several times. With Guys advice the dealership had no choice but to cover the repair under the original warranty, even though the car was by then out of warranty. If you want no BS these are the guys.

I have been driving my Alfa Spider for 5 years and have experienced over-priced and sub-standard service from more than one specialist Alfa centre. Discovering Tassell Automotive has brough much peace of mind and reassurance that there are still professional, honest, reliable and highly-skilled people in the industry. Guy and his team explained absolutely everything that was done to the car, the parts used, the reasons why and when I received my invoice I was pleasantly surprised that it was the least expensive I've ever had since owning the Alfa. I phoned the guys at Tassells in a panic as I’d just picked up new number plates but my new plates didn’t have holes drilled in for the screws! That’s normal apparently but this first timer had no idea. I was worried I’d be driving around without plates and get into trouble but Guy at Tassells told me to come on in and he would professional fit them for me. I could see that they were already very busy and to fit me in so last minute, right before close was so appreciated. Responded to my email within the hour.That is a good sign.Cars today are so complex any service or repair can be tricky for even the best mechanics.Example is my B.A. ford .After towing it to an electrician they could not fix it in 2 weeks.Towed car to Ford and they failed after 3 attempts and $1500 .Finally the computor was replaced and it worked again.Ford staff were off the planet.When electric cars become common the repair bills will be out of this world; you aint seen nuthin yet folks.Just a thought for would be car owners to ponder.Did I mention the costs of owning pets today, lol!

Very Helpfull and did a great job fixing my air conditioning.. They didnt rush in, but diagnosed what kind of leak the air con had. Re gassing was the reasonable way to go. About 10 months later we needed a reconditioning kit since a different seal blew..( the car is 22 year old with 110,000 km ) The kit included compressor, filter ( reciever / dryer ) and TX valve and all new O rings. It was a fair price and the job was well done, with a text message to my phone when the car was ready to pick up. They even managed to fit in changing the fuel filter on the spot ( it was overdue ).

What a bloody legend! I was stuck with a locked parking brake, five kids at FlipOut on the last day of the school holidays and it was pouring with rain. After one phone call Guy sent one of his mechanics around without hesitation to help. He unlocked my parking brake so at least I could move the car and get the kids home. When I called up later to pay he said there was no charge even though I’m not one of his clients. After a REALLY crappy day it is so nice to see there are still kind people in the world! Unbeatable service. Guy and his team go above and beyond with their care and service. Fixed 1972 Mini Cooper, Mercedes, and Peugeot with genuine parts at good rates. Fixed common rails in Merc, full injector system in Peugeot that peugeot said wasn't worth fixing and car is running better than ever. Able to test and diagnose issues and gives honest feedback and service. All Cars going better than new now. Thanks Guy and team.

I would NEVER recommend these cheats to anyone. I gave them my L-Series Subaru wagon to change the water pump. After receiving the car back the aircon was COMPLETELY degassed and there were cables in the engine back laying detached. Totally unsatisfied with their mechanical & customer service and the high prices! Numerous attempts trying to discuss it with the owners just to be avoided and ignored. Terrible automotive.

Professional and knowledgeable team. My Camry had a knocking noise. They explained the relevant suspension components, then spent time replacing the strut mount. After road testing, they confirmed that it was not fixed. They diagnosed a faulty shock and referred me to Pedders for testing. Because it was not fixed, they did not charge for the mount or the extensive labour!

I've been rarely been impressed with an experience at a mechanic workshop, let alone blown away I had a peculiar noise from my vehicle, Guy personally helped co-ordinate an after hours drop off and then completed full diagnosis to help determine the cause Guy and team were extremely detailed and thorough, I now know if (or when) I have another problem I'm in safe hands

Spent two days to check my car still not fixing my issue, but charged 280+bucks. I sent my car for service at first time and raised issue initially. Shouldn’t you inform me that this issue can only be fixed by manufacture/dealer instead asking me to come back the second time and charge me for not fixing the problem. This is not ethical.

charges me around $480 labour to change my oil. Only work done was fixed the aircon (said that they would call me after 4 weeks for a complimentary service and yet to hear back). They tried fixing my passenger window and only made it worst. Final bill $1200 for what??? Worst service and would not recommended this workshop!!!!

After almost bring ripped off by a shonky mechanic down in St Peters I realosed how important it is to have mechanics you know you can trust!

Sorry to admit this but our trailer had broken down and need repairing over the holidays when they technically weren't open. Trailer was repaired and thoroughly too. Worked very well after. Very happy with the attention to detail and tools and equipment i wish i had. Very thorough job and very reasonable charge!
