One of the oldest cinema houses in Karnataka. Located just at the southern end of Bull Temple Road, Uma Theater is the place to go if you're willing to watch Kannada movies with all those whistles, cheers and yet quiet atmosphere. The seats are very old and are not too much comfortable. The movie quality is not as good as the once at multiplexes but is indeed very much watchable. The ticket prices vary between Rs.50 to Rs.100 - which, of course is very cheap. FAQs 1. What is the number of seats at the theater? A. Around 1000. 2. Is the theater always houseful? A. No. You will always get tickets even if you come 5 minutes late to the show. 3. Rating? A. On a scale of 1 to 10, a 6 maybe.

This is one of the usual, regular theater. Such theaters were the only available ones before the multiplexes emerged. Though its be so may years that multiplexes have tried to lure movie goers away from such theaters, Uma theater is still standing strong. With Stall costing 50/- & Balcony priced @ 70/- it runs house-full shows. Not comparable to multiplexes in terms of seating, video, audio, ventilation and other amenities. It is still a decent experience. Recommended for kannada, hindi and other regional language movies. If you enjoy all whistles, live dance and die hard actor fanatics, you will have a blast!! Not recommended for high graphic, extra sound effects kind of movies.

Very old theatre located in Chamrajpet .... Easy to detect from normal traffic ... Only Kannada movies are shown here ... The tickets are not so costly ... Inside theatre is not so clean but you can manage ..... Near to Sirsi circle .... The road infront of it is little congested... You may face problem in taking out your car from parking ....

Its very old non-AC theatre, with bad seating arrangements. Usual day it gets crowded and suffocates due to lack of ventilation. Only Kannada movies screening takes place. There is no prior booking (online) and for tickets you have to stand in the lane before the show time and avail. For below average ticket prices this place is good.

One of the few single screens still operating in the heart of bengaluru. Plays kannada movies. Has no late night shows for working ppl who would want to catch a movie at 9-10pm. The seating needs improvement. The premises can be more hygienic. To sum it up, the whole watching experience is average. Needs improvement.

From my Childhood this Theatre is I am seeing, from my school time Some Children films was seen , Now also the theatre is same , Not at all Big improvements , Theatre should be UPGRADED ,so We can Feel Sound System , Screen , Seat Comfort, etc They Screen Kannada FILMS so I Give 3 star .

Very good and old theatre for Kannada movies, Big balcony, good sound, economical ticket 90 for balcony and 70 for second class. Watching movie in such old single screen is a treat by keeping all these multiplex aside. Please encourage such theatres.

Theatre requires renovation in terms of seating, screen, sound system as most of the normal (single screen) theatre have been adapted. In addition to this management has to take care of screening more good local movies.
