"A huge thank you to everyone at Tender Touch (Herbert Road), especially Terri who made the whole process so easy for us"
"All the staff at tender touch plumstead are absolutely amazing, very understanding, and will go the extra mile to give you what you want, they took my husband on his final journey last week, and we were given all the time we needed to say our last goodbyes, before leaving the house, Terri in the office is one of the nicest people i have met , nothing is too much bother for her, and again she is never in a rush to finish any appointment you have at the office, all in all Tender Touch would get my vote 100% and i thank them all from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my late husband"

"Tender Touch provided an excellent service for my late father"
After months of grief at the loss of my mum i finally feel strong enough to write this review. Tender Touch Funerals were terrible and made the planning of my mums funeral complicated, difficult and emotionally draining. They contridicted themselves multiples times on pricing (taking advantage of my sisters grief by suggesting horse drawn carriages when we stated we were relying on a grant from the DWP), they were unclear what was included in packages i.e no extra car or anyone to lead the service in the basic package (we were told if we wanted that we would have to go to the next price package which was over £1000.00 more) and over all lacked understanding and compassion espically when speaking with a woman called Merrion who told us no price plan could be made with them and if we couldn't pay or get the grant in time from DWP we would have to put the date of the funeral back (just to clarify my mum died 8 jan 2018, her funeral was on 9 march 2018) we were being told to put this date back even further, which is totally disgusting and unethical. After all this back a forth of contradicting infomation and two months after my mums death we finally managed to pull the money together for the basic package. On the day of payment two weeks before my mums funeral date we where told on this day that the package did not include anyone to lead the service and a grief stricken family should do it themselves! And no extra car to get us to the crematorium at which point i was so angry that i said i would rather find someone to lead the ceremony and a car myself. At which point tender touch to add insult to injury then said if we need help financially we could set up a payment plan with them for the next package up, which was confusing as we were told all along no such plans were done according to their policy. The next package up was over £1000.00 more then what we were paying that day. .. How convient a payment plan could suddenly be sorted out huh! Needless to say we stuck with the basic package paid in full and finally had a funeral date 2 months after my mum had passed. However the worst was yet to come, on the day of the funeral the service by tender touch was abismal, again a lack of compassion, putting the flowers in the hurst was met with a poor inconvienced attitude from the pull barer, whos behavior at the crematorium was aggressive and verbally swore at the driver of our car we hired seperatly from the funeral directors for stopping in front of the crematorium to let the grieving family out. And when the hurst set off to the crematorium from the funeral directors we did not know and were all panicked rushing to our car to catch up with the hurst in heavy London traffic. Overall tender touch delivered a service which was explotive of people in extrem grief and of little means, with no compassion and no compromise until beneficial to them, lastly on the day of the service did not have a tender touch at all. They made an already tramatic time for us unbearable.
A huge thank you to everyone at Tender Touch (Herbert Road), especially Terri who made the whole process so easy for us. Wonderful to see our mum arrive in a beautiful hearse accompanied by pallbearers who then carried the coffin to her resting place. The procession led by Debbie and her lovely flower arrangement made this a special day for the family. It was very befitting that our mother was accompanied to her final place of rest with such dignity and respect. Family and relatives commented on the wonderful service you provided. Fr. Michael (St. Peter's, Woolwich) performed an excellent ceremony for our mum, the family were so pleased that our mother's final wishes were fulfilled. Overall it was an outstanding service. We will most certainly be back in touch when it's time for a memorial/headstone.
