Octoberfest trip was not a very good experience. The website makes it sound much more glamorous then it is. We had to walk thru 5 cars to get a drink and the line was half the length of the railcar. It took 40 mins for us to get hotdogs, chips, and beer. Then we had to literally squeeze thru the railcar to get back. Not recommended.
This was a lot of fun. Great scenery, good time for real conversation with people, and I never had so much fun being robbed. I just wish we had about an hour of more time in town as the depo restaurant gets busy and doesn't leave much time to check out the town. This train also has winery tours. I will go to those as well.
Saturday train rides to Watertown Carthage or Lebanon for a variety of locations specific events and attractions. 1950s vintage trains fully restored with all amenities. Museum has pro-caliber fully operational electric train displays. Currently restoring steam-powered locomotive to pull Saturday excursions in the future.
My comments are gonna be a little bias because i'm one of the train robbers...... Been doing it since two thousand and eight... I never get tired of it so wonderful. Experience a nice train ride in the Crew on the train are very professional... And fun to interact with a great bunch of people... More
It was wonderful. I have made 3 different trips for a family event! There was a story teller that told kids the Christmas story, elves, carolers! The train stopped for reindeer that was on the track so Santa could get on board , elves came back for pictures and gave candy canes! LOVED IT. More
We had a great time! We were on a 1950's train and still in great condition. We had wine tasting on the way, great company, and got to spend a couple of hours in Watertown listening to live music at the winery and walked around the town. Very relaxing and fun experience! More
This was a really nice trip. I’ve wanted to ride a train, which was nice- splurge for the seats on top or in front cars. Watertown was nice as well, Jazz Fest was wonderful. we ate at the Depot cafe and walked around a bit. Enjoyed the day. More
I was sadly disappointed with the hype of this Christmas train. I wouldn’t spend the money unless your child would like to ride a train. I would drive to a train that really mimics the polar express experience. We had a couple songs, Santa,
North Pole Express was our experience. Let me start with, it's NOT the licensed Polar Express. You do get a 2 min Santa interaction, a bell, and carolers. The Christmas experience was probably the first 5 min. So that was a bummer. The kids
We went on the Octobeer Fest ride on October 21,2023. We were extremely disappointed. We arrived early as recommended, stood in line 30 minutes then were told we weren’t in the food line. My husband did get beer wine and water as I went to
If you're lucky enough to get Brenton to give you a tour then you are in for a treat! He was very knowledgeable and gave us access to all the cars to view and take pictures. Not the biggest museum but it's the experience that matters. More
We went with our children and took the grandparents along, too, on the Nashville Polar Express last week. Sadly, we were very disappointed. The music machine stopped playing a few times, they ran out of several food choices, the train was
Me and the Girls had an Absolute Blast!!! We ventured out on this 1950's Vintage Train May 13, 2023 for the Wine Excursion. We had a great time! The conductors were dressed in period clothing, which I just thought was the cooliest. There
Fun activities for kiddos. We booked tickets for Polar express excursion, Nov 27th was the 6 hours event. Santa and the crew were entertaining on the train. We booked these tix months ahead. Their website doesn’t have much information of
I took my mom visiting from out of town to the Oktoberfest excursion ride. We got there early, as recommended. The restroom line inside the museum was a little long, but not too terrible. Boarding was fine. The model trains in the museum
Really cool museum that's computer free to the public. There's a small exhibit out near the entrance where there's lots of interesting artifacts on display. Near the back of the museum contains 2 large model train sets which allow you to
In theory, this is wonderful. In reality, you ride a train for over two hours to no where and you get less than 5 minutes of entertainment. There's no music playing, there's no storytelling, nothing is included with your ticket. You're
The 2 hour ride to Watertown, TN was ok. We did get to taste 12 different Dalmonaco wines. The 2 1/2 duration in Watertown was not the best experience. Restrooms were real deal issues here. Very little option to dining. No attractions.
We were underwhelmed. The North Pole ride we took today was pretty uneventful. The carolers sang then left. Santa sat down for 1 or 2 minutes, then left. The rest was just looking outside at a lot of homeless camps and graffiti. Some
Took the Delmonico Winery excursion last Saturday. The trip was great! Wine tasting aboard the train on the way to the winery included 12 different wines! It's a 168 mile round trip on a vintage style train, with conductors in period
We rode for the sake of the changing colors. A heavy rain the night before had stripped all the colorful leaves. Still the ride was very enjoyable. The young men who took care of us were wonderful More
I booked this for my 3 grandchildren’s Christmas 2023. We went on the Polar Express in Chattanooga 2022 and loved it. I was expecting a similar experience as the tickets were almost double in price.
Wonderful train ride especially with our train host, Ken. The robbery enactment was more for children. Watertown is very small and not much to do in the 3 hours. A good one time experience.
Did the train robbery with my boys aged 11 & 9. They enjoyed the actors when we got to Watertown. The train ride was fun. Bring cards to play if you don't want to look out the window. More
It was closed however you can see the trains on the street. Saturday is the only day there open. I wish this place was open every day.. Nashville has a wonderful Train history More
I wish everyone could go ride the Train! It is wonderful & magical. All the Staff is Amazing! It is a must do! We will be back again soon for another ride. More
It’s exciting to think how rail was in its time. It’s very interesting to me. This one began in 1953. The Museum has vintage models but no running locomotives.
Hubby and I took the hold-up train excursion to Watertown TN. Love the ride, train car lady Joyce, and the actors. Nice rainy day with my better half.
Impressive selection for a small shop. Great staff. Museum layouts and equipment are also definitely worth a visit. Love the neon sign! More
