I want to give a big Thank You to the owner, staff… I went to Portland in February to a concert it was a group of us girls, we decided to go get some liquor before we headed out to the concert..we got what bottles we were gonna purchase paid for them and left the store…. We were too excited for the concert..WE FORGOT OUR BOTTLES….I called and ask for a refund but they couldn’t refund me because I had to be there in person to complete the refund with the card I purchased the liquor with.. so they said if I ever go back to Portland I can get refunded or get back my bottles I forgot.. I let the store staff know I would be back in May.. I went the weekend of May 13,2022 and the owner, staff were legit..they kept their word..without a fuss I got my liquor bottles and got taken to my car personally so I wouldn’t forget them again…10th avenue liquor store will be my #1 for all my future purchases when I am in Portland..

Excellent selection including some items not found at other liquor stores. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and happy to help out. They have a good selection, not great, but good of cigars from Modest too higher-end price points. Having opening hours on Sunday is good for bonus points in my book. They feature a good array of quality mixers and bartender necessities including many artisan type product lines. Back when the garlic lady from Vancouver was still making and selling her wonderful Bloody Mary mix and pickled green beans and the like They Carried almost all her products and 10th Avenue Liquors is where I became introduced to them.

This was hands down my favorite trip to any liquor store. COVID19 or not, the staff was upbeat, friendly, and really funny. They managed the coming/going of customers with a welcoming attitude. I wish I would have asked the name of the gentleman helping me (black man wearing a red shirt and hat this evening, around 6pm 5/8) was incredibly positive and polite, and had me laughing so hard! I was already having a really great day, and he just sent me over the top! So glad I stopped in there. I also hope he called his mama and brings her a bottle of something for mothers day, because we know all moms deserve a good bottle of something for raising us.

I go there frequently and was just there. I usually get a bottle of Jim Beam Vanilla, but I saw that Sinfire Vanilla was on sale for $13.95, which is $2 less, so I bought that. I was not told the price at the register, so I reasonably thought that’s what I was paying. I got home and checked my bank, and I was charged $15.95. I called, and the guy didn’t care. He said I was told the price at the register and agreed to it, but he wasn’t the one who rang me up. I told him I was NOT told the price and asked for my $2 back. He was rude and didn’t care. I mean it’s 2 lousy dollars, but he refused to give it back. Not going there again.

I don't know why I keep seeing friendly/nice staff on the previous comments. Maybe friends/family trying to raise their rating. New to the area but walked in wearing a mask but got attitude about not adhering to the signs that are located on the the floor? Staff was rude and dismissive even when I was respectful and nice. I found it comical because ahead of me of line were a group of mostly underage kids talking about getting drunk with the legal one buying, all the while the staff was laughing and sweet as pie to them.. seriously??? Yeah, if you have an ounce of self respect, I would dodge this low level clientele based hovel.

Maybe I caught the store at a bad time today, but it was terrible. It seemed like half the product lines had no price tags on the shelf. Many many empty spaces on the shelf where the particular product had sold out. My usual liquor store has a much bigger selection. It was also not clear that customers were not intended to "self-serve" from the whiskey, rum, gin and vodka along the outer wall, but wait for an employee to get the bottle for you, as there was only a two-ft high thin string keeping customers from helping themselves. I'll never shop there again.

I must give this store the very best of reviews and definitely encourage everyone to ignore and discount the previous review!. As a black owned and woman owed business, I am 100% happy to give them my support! The owners are always kind and helpful! The staff they have cultivated is helpful and friendly, and they know how to greet their customers. I appreciate that each person thanks you for coming in and I always feel welcome! Spent a while deciding which whiskey I wanted today, but the guy at the counter didn't bother me while I was looking. When I turned around, he was ready to help me out. Let me just say, I didn't get his name, but he was the coolest guy ever. Is he some famous actor in the time that he's not working at the liquor store? I don't know, but he had all sorts of slick moves and smooth words. Definitely made my day better. Thanks dude.

Not great. At. All. I didn't even get through the door and an employee automatically assumed I was purchasing alcohol for others, possibly under age, I can only assume. I was actually, very nicely, warding off some very friendly, amazing people asking me for money. How DARE YOU think I was about to purchase alcohol for people that you thought I knew but actually didnt. I'll never shop here.

Awesome store, new owners are doing an amazing job establishing themselves as a reliable, reputable, friendly, and consistent provider to local residents, and establishments. Staff is friendly, and respectful. Especially considering the area, and current state of downtown. So hats off to 10th Ave. Here's to the first of many drinks provided to Portland, and the millions more to come!

Nice, big selection. Gotta be the best part. A few of them have some great knowledge of cheap mixing ingredients. Otherwise, the staff usually seems to be sampling the product or are under other influences. If they are sober they're rarely the form of friendly I like. With a brash sense of humor it took me a while to realize they're not just being mean. I avoid this place if I can.

Small store right downtown. You're in and out in less than five minutes if you want to be. The woman who was working when we went in was so helpful & knowlegeable! She took the time to walk us through the different kinds of scotch & whisky we had questions about. I've come to expect a certain level of shittiness from most cashiers downtown so it was awesome to be proven wrong. :-)

The huge selection would make this store my go-to place for spirits in Portland, except for 1) the place is a dump, and 2) the staff could not be more unhelpful, even excusing for the usual Portland attitude. 4-5 people behind the counter and only 1 register working, and absolutely no-one available to answer questions or to help find stock. Go elsewhere if you can.

Very conveniently-located store with friendly staff, great prices, and a nice layout-- bottles (aside from mixers, wine, etc) are behind a counter that runs around the store so staff can easily grab you whatever you need, instead of self-service. Currently only allowing a few people in at a time due to COVID-19, but the line moves very quickly when there is one.

Nice people still, consistent staff (meaning no turn over.) It is like going into "Cheers". If you don't get the reference you probably shouldn't be in the anyway.Anyway. It's all in the name. But while Tenth Avenue contains a multitude of spirits, it also serves up mixers and sodas. I've had no negative experiences and at least one or two encounters that have been very positive. All the liquors are behind the counter so if you're not one that likes an excess of social interaction it may not be the store for you.

Well first of all Marcus is amazing!! Funny and goes the extra mile to help you find what you need. I was looking for Cu Bocan. Only 5 bottle in the state of Oregon. 3 at this store..neither one of us had ever seen the bottle, so didnt know WHAT we were looking for...finally found them! HE made the experience awesome! Wow, i mean wow.. I travel quite a bit and have been to several liquor stores in several cities and they didnt even carry some of the brands ive been looking for. Ive become a fan of Scotch whiskies and a particular gin out of Edinburgh. They have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely have to go back to check out the rest of their stock!!

Got my whiskey bottle yesterday and its leaked by a factory seal and i much opened the cap to check the high pressures inside the bottle (very rare factory bottle be like that as i know), called the manager Scott about that, he offer me come back to exchange a new one. What a good customer service they have. Very professional talk

Great selection and typically pretty helpful employees. The prices have all seemed very fair to me as well. They require their employees to grab bottles for you, which can sometimes slow down the process when there are limited people working. Overall a conveniently located store that will likely have whatever you're looking for.

The service here was very friendly and the guy was very knowledgeable, but because all the alcohol is behind the counter, you have to wait in line and then have the staff member fetch what you want, so the wait is long. Also, online inventory isn't accurate, so in my case, the wait was for nothing as what I wanted was sold out.

More expensive than most liquor stores around, i thought they were all to be the same price ? Ive never seen such price gouging in my life and if youask questions or are not dressed the way they like then your treated rude and in a way you just dont want to return and tell everyone who asks or friends not to go there period!

A lot to choose from to check out so you don't have to wait too long all in all I had a great experience here like most liquor stores you can find just about everything in here whether you want to spend a week's worth of minimum wage on one bottle or if you just want to spend a Happy Meal on some rot-gut

Seems to be a OK liquor store with a decent selection. Its hard for me to really judge a liquor store though, the only thing I drink is really good bourbon and most of what I want is pretty impossible to find anywhere so I can't judge this place for not having something that no one else has either lol.

While everyone that works there is always friendly and great I'm always really excited when Scotty is working. Scotty is very knowledgeable and gives me great suggestions and can always answer my questions. Added bonus is Scotty is hilarious and I almost always leave laughing. Thank you Scotty!

Just spoke to a friend of mine that has an issue with one of the workers at this location. He said that management contacted him to resolve the issue. This is a very good example of customer service and caring about the community. I approve of this. I will continue shopping here.

The two store attendants made me the object of their sexual jokes for the five minutes I was in the store... directly to my face. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a retail environment. I wanted to yell "give me the booze already!" so I could run far, far away.

My neighborhood liquor store I visit weekly or bi weekly. I've been going for yrs. The new owners classed up the joint for sure! So much cleaner and nicer looking than before. All the folks working there and the owner herself are super sweet and friendly :)

10th Ave has a pretty solid liquor selection, from top to bottom. They are very attentive and willing to answer any questions you may have. They're normal clientele is on the shadier side, but other than that this is a great liquor store downtown.

Beautiful interior, small but very well organized. The place to go for your WHISKEY, VODKA needs. They don’t have any 2.3% beers so giving you a heads up. Location is alright but long as you find parking it’s worth the line if any!

Tenth Avenue is unpretentious from the outside (no advertizing=no alcohol abuse!). Inside is an amazing assortment of every liquor available, with friendly and helpful people who ready with suggestions on prices, quality, etc.

They are dishonest. They say they don't have inventory on certain bottles but you can clearly track their inventory through the OLCC. They are obviously holding them for personal gain/sale or as favors for other businesses.

Go there for the product as they do carry some unique items. Street parking was easy as well. The staff the one time I venture in (for a hard to find gin) we're both non engaging even for basic pleasantries... No biggy

Unlike other Oregon liquor stores, this store keeps most liquors in secured areas where a staff member will retrieve them for you. I found service to be quick and friendly, so there was no real inconvenience.

People are not very knowledgeable about the booze at this store. And, all the selection is behind the counter so it is not easy to shop and explore. Uptown liquor is much better.

It was a nice clean store. Selection and Variety was not as I expected nor were the prices. Not that many low cost brands. I tried a local brand of spirit and it was alright.
