I want to like tequila house. Really, the location is great being in the center of uptown. However, comparing to clubs with a$20 entry in other cities, it needs work. The bartender staff is great, never had a problem and they'll mix about whatever you ask. The bouncers are nice guys but I don't get the setup. Having the door guy pat you down, then to have a second guy upstairs pat you down again is bit ridiculous. The venue itself feels smaller/fractured because of the former office style layout. Roxberry/Mission have the better layouts, hands down. Sounds, wise you come expect the exact same mix and track choice everything no matter who's on set. With a mix of Latin, Hip Hop and EDM Pop. It's like listening to whatever on the late night radio stations. Bring in more talent whom produce/edit their own tracks would help. No reason why you can't competition with the Underground/Filmore for the EDM scene. But hey people love it in Charlotte, but if you've experienced better you'll feel disappointed in the end.

It was slow in the beginning, but pick up later. They were playing different music in 2 different rooms. The room at street view were playing more salsa. The room in the back by the patio was playing Reggaeton. We had a lot of fun dancing. The lights were pretty cool as they reflected on the dancefloor and patrons. Staff was decent, but not overly friendly. Mixed drinks were very pricey. I suggest to stick with beer. They pour lightly on the alcholol. We eventually decided to go next door to the Roxbury and I'm glad we did. There were more people and the atmosphere was more enviting. Tequila House seemed like a Meat Market to me. Lots of college kids trying to muster the courage to hit on chicks. lol..it was amusing.

I was there hanging out last night with friends. They were visiting Charlotte and we wanted to try something new. Everything was okay until my guy friend started kissing his guy friend (all consensual btw). Nothing explicit, but they were kissing. Then security walks up and drags them apart. They didn't explain why but if it's PDA, I can tell you right now there were plenty of couples that weren't "socially distanced" if you know what I mean. I assume it's homophobia. One of our other friends demanded an explanation and was not quiet about it, so we were kicked out. Anyone straight kissed anyone in this place and have a similar experience? Not impressed by this club at all.

Went yesterday because this place was advertised as the best Latin spot in Charlotte. I went with party of 6 so we opted for VIP to b more comfortable. We were told that table came with 2 bottles and they only gave us one. Everyone had an attitude and and just poor customer service. 15 minutes before last call i was denied entry to use the restroom by the employee working the restroom and all the other employees were of no assistance. I had to demand to speak to a manger and even she was hesitant. After i made her aware of how easy she took my money that I spent finally agreed to let me use the restroom! Just a poor experience, over priced and not worth it!! Never again.

My friends and I went here for New Years Eve. We paid $120 each for a VIP ticket. When we got there, there were two incredibly unorganized lines. I asked the bouncer which line was VIP, he yelled at me and told me it doesn’t matter and to get in general admission. They were INCREDIBLY rude and singled out one of my friends and made her separate from the rest of us. Once inside, a different bouncer started screaming at us once again. They advertised top shelf open bar, and were serving TORO tequila (one of the cheapest tequilas available.) that’s fine but don’t advertise top shelf. I will NEVER be returning here and highly recommend nobody else does either.

I love the music and the DJ always knows what to play, I love the diversity in this place and I love how the vibes matches untill…. I didn’t go to TH for almost a year and few months. And everything I said above was build on my last memory of this place, when I went yesterday. That place was full with teenagers and young dudes who literally ruined the place. Its packed to the point its seriously unreal and not good. It wasn’t like that at all before. Idk what happened or maybe this place became 18+ not 21+ anymore. Idk. But what I know is this place will be my last choice if I wanna go or tell someone about it..

Absolutely horrible experience at Tequila House last night. My friends and I were on the dance floor and without warning or asking us to leave the bouncer just put his hands on us, shoved us and picked both of my friends up carried them down the stairs and threw them out the door. There are 5 other recent reviews about bouncers grabbing people without warning and clearly nothing has been done to improve this situation. I wish I had read the reviews before going here. We feel very violated and will not return.

evertime we go here there is always a change to the age access from 18+ to now only 21+. In this occasion and my daughter who is older than 18 but younger than 21 wasn’t accepted in even though we looked at the reviews and website stating that this club does accept 18+. not sure what to believe anymore and I don’t want to waste my time just going to get rejected while waiting for a long time. The bouncer was also being rude and ignoring us as if there wasn’t a long line.

Do not waste your time. Pull any other nightclub out of a hat and go there instead. The place is awfully kept. Security sucks. They removed half of a group during the bar brawl cause one girl was laying her head on her boyfriends shoulder. The security guard refused to explain anything as he very forcefully grabbed her arm and wouldn’t let go. I don’t know his name but he should be fired and charged with assault.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Saw security break up a two men kissing at the bar. Like security walked over and actually pushed them apart. Then when their friend rightfully stuck up for them they had to leave. Call me crazy but I imagine kissing in a club isn't that big a deal. Blatant homophobia. I'm also seeing a lot of other reviews about how awful these security guards are. Shameful.

I had my head on my boyfriends shoulder and all the sudden there was a hand on my arm tugging me up and telling me I can’t “sleep” in there which I was not sleeping but ok. He didn’t even warn me or anything just up and tugged me to the door and made me and my boyfriend leave. Don’t go here if you aren’t going to stay standing bc if you sit down you’ll be kicked out.

A male security went into the grls restroom and kicked us out. My friend “looked” drunk So they threw us out literally. He dragged me from the top step to the bottom and just pushed me down on the floor. He didn't even care he just turned around and went back inside! All staff is rude af except the lady in the bathroom. All bar tenders “expect” a tip!

i wanted to give a one star because elizabeth was the worst bartender i’ve ever encountered…. she didn’t even shake my white tea shots…. then proceeded to circle the suggested tip on our receipt and wait for us to hand it back. i’m a bartender. i’m tipping regardless. i even tipped elizabeth. considered walking out right then but jay was amazing

Honestly it was packed cause of the soccer game but fun, the only reason I’m giving one star is cause the female bartender at the end starts fighting with people over how much you tip. Like it’s a bar tenders job to make drinks and she expects 7$+. Really killed the mood. Tip is earned not forced.

The Tequila House NightClub was a great time. It was super crowded which made it even better. The DJ did a great job of mixing Latino music with urban pop and hip hop. Tequila House does a great job enforcing equal rights. An example of this was when a dude bought me (also a dude) a drink, great people and a great atmosphere!

Place can get busy but not worth $20 to get in when most places in the city don’t charge to get in. This place will most likely go down hill if they don’t figure out a different way to get money besides a $20 entry lol

This place is lit. My friends and I visited last night and the two separate rooms playing two different types of music was awesome. The bartenders were great and got to you asap...so tip them well! Cover charge was reasonable and so were drink prices. Definitely visiting again next trip to CLT!

Such a fun place in downtown Charlotte! This is my favorite spot to go out! But I would of course go out with a small group (as I would anywhere because safety first). I didn’t give a 5 star rating because I feel like it’s not a premiere club and could use some updates, but it is a lot of fun!

Tequila House was an amazing time! We had lots of fun and the music was great. The only thing I will say is watch out for the vip you pick. I went in expecting a certain vip section because I was going off of what the website says but we were placed else where and it was disappointing.

Went on a Thursday night. There was no cover charge but they were charging almost $20 for ‘water downed’ drinks. The DJ kept replaying the same songs over again. Literally played songs from early 2000s. If you’re not white or Latin, they definitely discriminate. Will not be going back

The place is spacious and has a nice scenery...... however they need to work on AC system; felt like I was in a sauna. The fact I was dripping in sweat ruined the night in wanting to enjoy myself. I would advise anyone just to hang out on the balcony you're better off!!

Bought $25 tickets to get in on Saturday Halloween. Couldn't even get in the line was so long. Spent an hour waiting and decided to go somewhere else. They obviously didn't limit the number of tickets they sold. What a scam and joke. Will never go there again.

Only reason I give it 4 stars because it was no hookah (And i don’t know if they serve food)… Vibe was great music a great mixture and the bottle girls is beautiful

An awful place if you ask me. Expensive, rude and a scam. I was looking for a place to dance salsa and bachata in South Carolina while visiting for a conference. I found this place in google and decided to checkk it out on friday. It says

They let a few Latin girls who were 15 years old in and I overheard them say they do it all the time. The African American bouncers are really cool too. They let us take our Heinekens outside the front door.

Not sure if $20 is worth to be sardine packed. If the place is full don’t keep letting people in. I know it must be a nice payout but people aren’t going to have a good time.
