I want to say nice things about the the salon is charming and like a trip back to the late 60s. Vanessa is lovely. Terry however who appears to be the head hairdresser is a enormous bigot, and has no ability to filter her incredibly dated perspective of the world when it comes to clients. I guess she's used to it because she's used to dressing older people but that doesn't make it an excuse. I was very uncomfortable hearing all of her incredibly archaic talking points and refusal to turn on anything but Fox News. I'm not there to feel like I'm having my hair dressed by Michael Savage. Very unprofessional and not what you would expect from someone who appears to have been dressing hair as long as she has. It ruined what could have otherwise been a very charming experience. She needs to retire and go cut hair in the deep South where her perspective I'm certainly would be welcomed. Shame.

I live in Las Vegas and there are plenty of hair salons throughout the city. I've struggled to find anyone who could perfect an A-line bob with a stacked back. I've paid a lot of money and walked out disappointed on so many occasions. I called Terry Rae, wanting to go somewhere downtown but not to a trendy place that would cost me a ton without the certainty I'd get the cut I wanted. Terry was ah-may-zing! She handed me a mirror and showed me what she was doing. When she was finished, she had me take a look at it as well as feel the style with my fingers to ensure there weren't any thick spots. We agreed to trim a little more off the back. No problem. She did an absolutely incredible job at an extremely reasonable cost. The kicker? She called the next morning to ask if I was happy with the cut. You don't find people like this anymore.

I am a Black American and my experience at Terry Rae's Beauty Salon has always been exceptionally pleasant and satisfactory. I only refer to my ethnicity, upon reading a review by a "Sean." Sean may be confused, as there has never been a television playing during my visits. Funny how some people so readily paint others as intolerant, while wielding a sword of intolerance. Terry treats everyone the same, with professionalism, courtesy, and excellence. I have never heard anything inappropriate from Terry or anyone in the salon. I love their service. May I suggest that "Sean" or anyone who is unhappy with their service or experience , speak up at the time and I am certain everything possible will be done to produce a happy, satisfied customer. Thank you Terry for doing a fabulous job!

I have been going to Terry for about 1 year now stopping in about once every 1-2 months to get a trim or touch up my roots. I am a local and find the free valet at El Cortez makes it easy to walk right in and run up the stairs to get my hair done with ease. She is very good at what she does and I hope to have her in my life forever. lol. She has brought the body back to my very fine hair and I get compliments on cut and color everywhere I go. I really have been to many salons and none compare to the attention to detail I get here. We even did pink and that was fun. Keep up the good work Terry! You are so wonderful!

Terry saved my day! I had 4 broken nail tips and I have a show tonight so I couldn't be on stage holding a mic with jacked up hands. She didn't have anyone at the moment who could fix my nails. I think she saw my despair so she offered to soak and remove the remaining tips. I was so pleased! And she put a pretty glittery polish so my hands are gonna look good tonight! PLUS she washed and styled my hair too. I feel pretty oh so pretty!! And she is a wonderful lady. Will make it a habit any time I'm in Vegas to have her style my hair. Highly recommend. I had a great experience at this salon.Firstly and more important, the color of my hair is beautiful, Loretta has done a great job with three similar but different colors and my cut.She also took care of my eye brows.She gave me great advices since I had no idea what to do with my hair.I like the style of the salon too. It's in the first floor of a nice welcoming little casino: El Cortez.I will certainly come back, Loretta became my "official" hair designer. Thank you

I live in California and our hair salons have been closed for months due to the pandemic. On a business trip to Las Vegas I made an appt. with Terry Rae to get my awful roots done. Terry did an awesome job ! She got my hair color perfect and a little trim gave my hair a much better, healthier look. I would definitely make a return visit next time I'm in town. Thanks Terry Rae!

She has amazing skill. More then willing to work with u to make sure you get exactly what you're working for. Talkative enough that the time passes by easily. The salon has a old school vibe that makes it homey, like talking with the ladies in old movies. If you're looking for a new regular person to go to, shes spot on. She makes it too easy. Love love love my hair.

Terry cut my hair earlier this month, and she was was every bit as good as the reviews suggested. For the first time in a long time, I got the haircut I wanted, not the haircut the stylist wanted to give me. And I had the best time getting that haircut. She’s an artist not just with hair, but with making you feel at home. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

If you are looking for a top notch experience, then call Terry Rae. She was able to fit me in on Saturday with less than a hour notice. I couldn't be more pleased with my haircut. She takes her time and is a perfection with her cuts. Conversation was wonderful and I look forward to visiting Terry Rae's Salon every time I am in Vegas for business.

Professional service at a good price. As a guy with longer hair needing a neat trim for a wedding, Terry Rae not only gave me a great scissor cut but did it with style. Guys, do not be wary of female dominated hair salons, most barber shops do not have the talent to cut hair with scissors. I would not look anywhere else for a cut in Vegas!

I had a great experience. I was in Vegas for a wedding and called for Same day appt, she was able to schedule two of us for that afternoon. She did a great job with our hairstyling. She was fast, friendly, affordable and my hair looked great all night. Highly recommend.

In September I had my hair done for my wedding. Plus 2 of my friends attending had their hair done. I absolutely loved how my hair turned out and the experience I had here at Terry Rae Beauty Salon. I would recommend this place to anyone to get their hair done.

I went to have a style for my vow renewal. I bought dice earrings to wear in my ears they ended up being to big. So she came up with an idea to put them in my hair. Everyone loved them. Amazing job. If you need a salon in downtown Las Vegas this is your gal.

Great place to get your hair done had my hair done New Years Eve was really happy had a wash and blow dry turned out really pretty. Very close to hotels off Fremont street do not have to pay those high prices at the salons in the near by hotels.
