Your Inner Child Will Thank You This toy museum absolutely made an impression. We really had no prior expectations upon arriving, so when the owner handed us a list and a pen and told us to check off what we find for the scavenger hunt, we were like, “FUN!!”. Then, we dove in and WOW! Within seconds you see things you were once so familiar with as a child. For context we were born in 1983 and 1985. The selection this place has is jaw dropping, and immediately you start saying to each other, “Look! Look!” and “I remember that!” or “I had that!”. As a child I had a My Little Pony that I LOVED, and when I saw her here, I nearly broke into tears. It captivated me in a moment of time, of innocents, of bliss. To see her again warmed a spot in me that I was not expecting to be activated when we purchased the tickets for this museum. Throughout this museum there are thousands of toys, and we saw so many that we enjoyed as children. Eventually, we checked everything off the scavenger hunt list, which added to the experience because it got you looking much deeper into the displays, and as a result you end up seeing so much more than you would have otherwise. This museum was definitely one of my favorite parts of my entire Austin trip. When leaving the museum, my inner child was so happy, I could not stop smiling. The location is very easy to find. I recommend this place 100%! If you are an 80’s kid, do yourself a favor and visit this place, even if you are a local. Thank you to the owner, you have given me more than you know. Keep it up!

One of my favorite spots downtown. They not only have a large selection of classic arcade games but they also offer a large selection of local Austin beers and ciders. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating and enthusiastically answered all my questions about the various toy collections and classic video games they have available to play. Who knew someone actually still owns a functioning Virtual Boy ? Kids will enjoy the classic games and their parents will revert back to their inner 8 year old selves when they relive their fond memories of N64 and endless hours playing with their cherished childhood toys. The new space is more than twice the size of the previous space and has allowed for an ever growing toy collection in display. They also have a large classic toy selection available for purchase. Definitely worth the time if you are in downtown Austin and want to go on a fantastic nostalgia trip and enjoy a beer while doing it !

This place is awesome! Awesome collection of toys - my favorites being the vintage Nintendo consoles and vintage Lego sets! Free play arcade games and pinball machines were set up as well as some video game consoles - N64, NES, SNES, Xbox, and PS2 with Guitar Hero were the main ones set up when I was there. The scavenger hunt was fun and a good way to really take in everything at the museum. Being able go grab a beer and walk around and play games was a really nice touch, too. The place is pretty small. It would be awesome for this museum to be in an expanded location some day! Totally recommended, would love to go back next time I'm in Austin!

My husband and I were visiting Austin for the weekend and walked from our hotel to the Toy Museum. It was $17 per adult. They had a small selection of snacks and beverages, including adult beverages in the lobby that was also a ‘gift shop’. The games were easy enough to access and play. The entire place was very crowded though and kind of thrown together. Apparently it’s their new location so they did have signs up saying display in progress. Unless they are able to condense or rearrange the display cases and games, the ‘museum’ part is not easy to view. They did have lots of really great toys. Hopefully they will put more effort into making them easier to view all of them.

Nostalgia for sure... every toy we grew up with could now be seen by my kids for what real toys were compared to their stuff lol. It's not very interactive with TV screens showing random clips of the cartoons or commercials of the toys but there are a lot of old school video games to play for free! Truthfully the displays could be organized and displayed a little better as they are just cluttered together. It's not super big inside for the amount of toys they have. The entrance fee is a little high but we got a good amount of time in there for sure.

Super fun location! My group did the scavenger hunt and got a free shirt for completing it in the allotted time. The owner, Caleb, was super nice and showed us some really cool movie props from his collection. While I think any age level would love this location. I think adults would really enjoy it as most of collection is toys from the 80-90s. I will definitely come back to this location whenever I’m in the city. Keep in mind this is a second story location. You will have to use stairs to get to it.

A lot of fun for the price of admission. They have every toy you forgot you owned as a kid. The arcade has some good games, but don't expect a ton of machines, plus quite a few are out of service. But it's still worth every penny in my opinion. Make sure to do the scavenger hunt so you explore all the exhibits. FYI, this might not be as much fun for anyone younger than thirty - unless they are into older toys. There are not a lot of actual toys to play with so small children might get bored.

This place is the bomb, there is a charge but it's worth it for the nostalgia and the unlimited free play off all the games! Took my nephew here and we did the scavenger hunt they give out...we won 2 stickers and an extra prize for finding Waldo :) so many cool old toys and games, stuff I haven't thought about in so many years. Very fun afternoon spent here. It's a small joint for now, but they are moving into a bigger space later this year...I'll have to go back and check out the new diggs!

Arcade! Retro toys! Scavenger hunt (with prizes)! A really cool place to stop when driving thru Austin. A lot of it’s featured toys are 80s - early 2000s, which means if you’re my age? It’ll tickle that nostalgia bone perfectly. The arcade is free and lots of fun, and so is the scavenger hunt. I recommend peeking in and seeing a couple of things you haven’t seen in years. (They have a lot of cool TMNT stuff)

Super cool spot. Tons of 80s/early 90s stuff. Great for any Star Wars fan since they have a nice Star Wars section. They even have Cadillacs and dinosaurs which is not something I thought I’d ever say. For $17 you get access to the museum and all the games are unlimited play. And they’re open until midnight on Saturday and can come back as many times as you want during the day. Pretty sweet deal.

We stumbled across this place our first day in Austin and would highly recommend it. Has an amazing collection of toys mostly focused on the 1980s. Huge G.I.Joe, Transformers, Thundercats displays amongst other toys. Admission was $12 per person and if you complete the scavenger hunt you get a free small toy. Also has an arcade and pinball room on free play and beer and wine for sale.

Downstairs now! Kid friendly but also great for adults! Museum and arcade entry all inclusive; $17 for adults, $11 for kids. All arcades are unlimited play, multiple consoles and different level scavenger hunts for the museum side. Large selection of beers (ciders, wine + margaritas). So much nostalgia! Overall a fun place to explore.

Would recommend to those who love old toys and nostalgia but I know it’s not for everybody. I would rate it a 3.5/5 for the experience and don’t forget to look up! There is a wide range of different toys you can see! It is very interesting but it is also very small and short given the space. I will admit though that they compacted the space to the point where if you do multiple walk through a you’ll always find something new.

Awesome selection of 80s and 90s figs from TMNT, GI Joe, Pee-Wee, and Street Sharks. You need it odds are it's here. This place is nostalgia overload. As well, there is a free play arcade! You can also buy drinks for your visit! This place is awesome and of course they have a vintage gift shop. 5/5

Really cool retro toy museam with arcade games. I'm only rating 4 stars because it's a little cramped, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since there is so much to see. The scavenger hunt fun, so be sure to try that. I had a blast playing the arcade games, too.

I flew into Austin and had a few hours to waste before checking into my hotel. I’m so happy I found this place. It’s very affordable and so so cool. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing pinball. The toy collection is impressive too, full of nostalgia. I wish something like this was near me

We had a great time from the moment you walk in. Not only do they give you a scavenger hunt for the kids, but we got to play all these 80’s arcade games. It’s a great place for adults and children. Also, your pass is good all day. We came back twice.

One of the best attractions in Austin! TTM will jostle every nostalgia cell in your body. Toys, toys, and more toys, and excellent selection of arcade cabs and pinball tables to keep you and your family occupied for hours. Requires multiple trips to see everything!

Super fun time. Brings you back in you lived in the 80s and 90s. A couple things could be cleaner but they have some really cool things. Play unlimited games for $17. I wanted to stay longer but definitely worth checking it out.

It was like visiting the House on the Rock. The different exhibits/collections of all sorts of toys from 60's through about 2000's were crowded into their small 3 room spaces. We saw lots of what we knew, and enjoyed it. The staff was helpful.

Museum had a cool collection. But the place was in shambles and it smelled terrible but I guess that is part of the experience being that it’s basically like entering a Comic Con nerds basement.

This place is great. All of our childhood toys on display. Treasure hunt was fun and made us look and discover more. Beverages and simple snacks sold at the counter. We all enjoyed the game room and the games on display. Caleb the owner was chill and ready to answer questions.
