This was our first time to this location of Thai Express. I would give them 5 stars on customer service and friendliness, note that there was one person ahead of us one behind us and we had a pretty large order of 7 meals coming to over $80. Given the size of the order, it did not that long to receive our food. It looked like they were doing renovations at the time as the side walls had exposed plywood. I give the food a high 3 or low 4. We have been to number of other Thai Express locations and the food here was meh, not as good and tasty as others. The friendly cashier offered us some treats as our order was so large, unfortunately I feel it was the left overs for the day as the quality of the food was below par (dumplings, wings, spring rolls and the deep fried bananas). It was still nice if her to offer. As always, portion size was perfect as we all got a meal and a half out of it.

I ordered food from here today, the store was not very clean at all, which was an immediate issue but I ordered anyway, and she gave the napkins and fork to me in my hand not in the tray, which I didn't like but it's okay, but then suddenly the man sitting in the restaurant eating who was in the middle of eating his food got up and went to the kitchen and started cooking my meal, without even washing his hands or anything. When I questioned it the woman said "that's your standard", as if asking him to wash his hands was completely out of the norm and I was asking for too much! Hand washing is the most basic hygienic practice for any food service business. Completely unacceptable.

Super clean and Covid safe. Needs a mask to enter and social distancing is respected. The kitchen appears to be very clean from the front. Staff wear proper equipment to maintain cleanliness. Food was amazing, it was very nourishing and delicious. Couldn’t help but take a picture of my and my moms Thai Soup. The spring roles were equally delicious and hot when we received them. Other locations had them stone cold so that was a nice switch. The person who took our order was very kind and we talked a bit. She helped us with our order and pointed out other things we should try next time. If there is any Thai Express you visit, visit this one. Best in Ottawa.

Quick and efficient service. The food is always hot and fresh. The restaurant can be busy at lunch and supper time, however even if there is a line up it does not take too long to have your order taken. Once your order has been taken it does not take long before your hot fresh meal is complete, and then you can eat right there at a table or choose to take your meal elsewhere. The parking lot directly in front of the restaurant is very busy and can not accommodate a lot of vehicles, however there is ample parking to the side of the restaurant.

Great Location ... & the food is always tasty. Yesterday we ordered ... Pad Thai & Dumplings ... The service is sometimes a bit slow, but I am OK with waiting a bit if my order is right... but recently we have noticed that the portions of "peanuts" for the Pad Thai & "peanut sauce" for the dumplings keeps shrinking... They use to just give it to you without asking but now if you forget to ask .. you don't get it & the portions are small so when I asked for more ... the owner says next time you have to pay extra. :(

The owner / manager of this place is always happy to see you, and not just because you're about to give her your business, no, she is genuinely a friendly person who wants the best for her customers. The food here is so good! I have been ordering from here for catered lunch meetings and just plain getting a bunch of people together to go get a bite and never had an issue! She even did a customer appreciation month last December where every order was 15% off! I will come here over any other Thai Express any day.

Amazing food quality and service. The owner Gui is the kindest person to deal with. Been supporting for many years and she deserves it for the service and food quality she provides. Highly recommend you come visit.

Excellent service. Man who took my order at the cash actually walked around and asked everyone if their food was okay before sitting down to take a 15 minutes break. Even more so, he asked a customer who was having soup if he would like to have more broth which was a particularly nice detail. Never had someone show that level of caring in how their customers' food is being enjoyed outside of sit down restaurants.

Hands down! The best Thai Express in Ottawa!. The lady at the counter is very friendly and she remembers everyone! Food was very yummy and consistent! Very clean!

This location has the best food of all Barrhaven locations. The flavours here are distinct and the quality of the ingredients are very good. Plus, the lady on cash gave us 2 spring rolls on the house because we looked like busy students (we are). So kind and generous of her! She made our day. Will return here every time we want Thai Express.

Below average Thai Express. Service was fast and food came quickly but at a cost. Food was bland and some ingredients (potatoes and carrots in the curry) was not heated through and cold. Luckily there was saracha sauce, limes and peanuts you can add to your food. Thai noodle soup had just a few green onions and bean sprouts. A few carrot slices would have added some colour and flavour.

Best Thai express in Ottawa. More veggies in pad sew then elsewhere. Chicken dumplings are the best. Fried chicken wings are less known but surprisingly good, different then any other fried wings. Their ice cream is so unique too, amazing tropical flavour. I also love their interior decorations, neat, clean and lots of beautiful plants. Owner is so nice and friendly, always smile.

Thai Express is our new favourite place to eat. We discovered the Hunt Club location a few weeks back. The food was amazing and the service was even better. They gave us free spring rolls to eat while we waited for our main dishes. They checked on us to make sure our food was satisfactory and even gave us a free bottled water at the end of our meal. Well done Thai Express!!

Honestly the best location in Ottawa! Super friendly staff, always great service and they pay close attention to your order. They were giving out free dumplings as a sample but when I ordered a vegan meal they switched mine to a free spring roll instead. The next time we went the woman recognized us and offered us free drinks AND spring rolls. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant. The staff are super nice. The food is great. My girlfriend and I got one Pad Thai for lunch and it was plenty to feed both of us at a reasonable price ($11.50 with tax). Highly recommended. They have a bucket full of crushed peanuts that you can add to your dish as well as limes and various sauces to add heat/flavour to your dish as desired.

The restaurant is obviously not allowing sit down customers; they are now using their banquette seating as takeout container storage. Aside from that, the rest of the restaurant (from a public viewpoint) appeared to be clean, the service was very courteous, and the food was spot on! Definitely a keeper for our takeout haunt location list.

I've been going here a ton lately with my dad for our movie night takeout and the lady who always serves us is the sweetest person She always asks how we are doing, is super friendly and we usually find a surprise treat in our bag like extra dumplings or springrolls! I'm always happy to support this business.

Amazing food and even better service. Food was quick and a perfect temperature, the manager was involved and he along with the rest of the staff were incredibly nice. When ordering a Pad Thai with Tofu, the cashier went as far as to ask if egg was okay, which is appreciated as a vegetarian. Will for sure return!

Just came back from Thai Express today. The staff were attentive and friendly. The facilities clean and pristine. I ordered a delicious soup and chicken wings. Before we left we were treated with spring rolls. I've always liked this place. Will continue going or having food delivered directly from this location.

Lady working the cash was very nice. Been there a few times now and she has always thrown in a free spring roll or two. Great taste and portions seem to be bigger as she had to put my rice dish in a soup bowl to fit it all in. Will definitely be back

I have always loved Thai Express for their super tasty food but this one really stands out. The lady here who I think is the owner, is so genuinely friendly. She's super accomodating. I've been here on multiple occasions and she's always smiling; Makes it worth the trip to go out to this one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Thai Express in Ottawa! We always detour to this one if we want some fast and tasty Thai food. The owners treat their guests like in a small town (and recognize you!) and they use real plates to give you a better restaurant experience (and save the environment!)! Wholeheartedly recommend!

Very kind and friendly service. Very tasty and generous servings. Clean, prompt, health and safety measures were in place for the pandemic. Our son was given an extra treat for his birthday. We chose this location for the high ratings and we were very pleased with the service and food.

We bought two general Thai plates and it was the most disgusting fast food I have ever tasted. I can tell the frying oil was old and burnt, chicken was rubbery and chewy, beef looked unappealing and tasted nothing like beef. Other locations have much better quality than this location.

This location offers great food and friendly, fast service . The cashier always greets you with a friendly smile and is very personable. They will often include a small treat with your meal (Spring Roll or Dumpling) which is a great touch. I would definitely recommend this location.

It's a good spot, the food is good and portions are generally good. I do not understand the new rectangular plates. The one and only major problem with this chain is consistency. I can have the general tai chicken in 5 different Thai express and get 5 different plates.

I had to show them the seasonal special advertisement for the restaurant to honour the price. No pops available because no CO2 connected. Can only choose the juice option. My lemonade was not tasting right. There was an after taste of soap. I do not recommend.

I ordered a tofu green curry which was wonderful. After I ordered the server gave me a "treat" and told me it was vegetarian and didn't have any meat. So thoughtful! Highly recommend :)
