Went here last Friday night for my birthday and ended up regretting it the second I entered the venue. The atmosphere was not what a club atmosphere should be, there were no more than 50 people there, even come midnight, and everyone there was just lurking on the corners and giving off very unsettling energy. The dance floor was completely dead. The bartender was absolutely wasted while serving behind the bar, she was knocking over drinks into the ice bucket, dropping almost every bottle she picked up, her breath reaked of alcohol while she was taking your order, and she messed up the drink that she recommended to me being, orange juice, cranberry juice and vodka, I ended up getting a very watered down cranberry juice with MAYBE a splash of vodka. The bouncer seemed to just be laughing at her and not really doing much. I also was on the guest list for 10:30 with 7 other people and we arrived at 10:34 and was not let in unless we paid, so to hear that people on the 10:30 guest list were still being let in by 12 is a load of hoarseshit. If I could give zero stars I would, I would also never waste my time, money or energy going there ever again and I do not recommend anyone goes to this club so it can go out of business for good.

I found it interesting that all of the negative reviews of this club are from people with 1 or 2 reviews. So much that I think I might be making my own first google review to give an independent review since it seems that most of the other low ratings are probably from competitors. I used to work in bars in Ontario and it was common practice for staff to write negative reviews of other bars not realizing that all they're doing is causing other people to do the same for their bar and the circle grows. As for Ace, I had an amazing time last Saturday when I went. The bouncers were friendly but still gave me a good patdown which I am so ok with to make sure people aren't bringing weapons in, the drink specials were fantastic, and the girls were definitely some of the most attractive I've seen since I moved to Calgary. The wall of album covers is incredible and my gal loved that the bathroom was cleaned throughout the night! All in all a great time and will hopefully have the chance to be back in the next few weeks once their rooftop patio is open.

Went to try it out last Saturday and was super excited. When we arrived at 11 there were 3 people in line and No one was being let in so we got in line and the bouncers continued to let people coming in from another side in. I understand that guest list is a priority but when there’s no one in the guest list line I don’t understand why we weren’t being let in. It was cold outside and the bouncers continuously made rude comments about how cold we must be waiting outside. People would come up to the front and just get let in or say they had a guest list for 10:30 (it was nearly 12). I went up to the bouncer at the front and asked why we weren’t being let in and he said that the people being let in had bottles. After about an hour of waiting outside we ordered an Uber to music. Since this is a newly opened club I was surprised with how the business was handled and how rudely we were treated.

Huge disapointment, the reviews don't lie. Came to celebrate my birthday with 16 other people, with guest list and we weren't on the list. Did the process online with no confirmation email under 3 different names but only one was actually written down at the front. Music was terrible and DJ scoffed off requests, even with a dead dance floor. We ended up leaving 15 mins into the stay, with groups of people leaving after us. As we left we heard the manager and bouncers mentioning how they shouldn't have let us in after our guest list mishap, which is absolutely appalling. I don't see this place lasting to long, save yourselves and go somewhere else!!

Never been more disappointed with a club in my life. Don’t waste your time or money here. The place was empty for the majority of the night. At most 15 people on the dance floor. $8 for a Heineken, meanwhile they are $6.50 at Cowboys. Terrible music for a night club, flashing lights and lots of bass for nothing more than mediocre sound cloud styled r&b. No hype throughout the whole night, started slow and ended slow. More “DJs” dancing on stage than people on the floor. Large numbers of people young and old entering the club and leaving within 15 -20 minutes. The whole experience was an absolute disappointment.

Been there 2 times now once on opening night and then last Tuesday for Night Lovell! Both times I have to say were a expierenec of a lifetime. Drinks are affordable and the staff is super dope. I highly recommend this place if you like hip hop! The DJ is super chill. As far as hip hop clubs in Calgary go this is the best one. It's a small place so it doesnt fit a ton of people. Although for any guys out there the women are the finest looking women in the city here. So yeah fantastic place and everyone 18-25 should check it out. The vibe is amazing.

My friends and I waited in line for the adventure club after party on August 28th, and despite having bought tickets in advance we could not even enter after waiting in line for 2 plus hours. We also had some other friends that had gotten in without tickets, from a re-entry stamp that the bouncers sold in the back entrance for 50 dollars a stamp. I also tried to contact the club about any type of compensation for our wasted time and money, but was met with silence. I will never come back to this club nor recommend anyone else attend.

Wish I could rate this places negative stars. Bought tickets in advance to adventure club didn't even get in... The staff was ignorent and had no idea what was going on. Think they over sold tickets but still, know the size of your venue think they could do that at least. People in line were waiting 2 hours and still didn't get in line didn't even move!!! Eventually after trying to get information from the staff me and my friends just left not worth your time or money!! I cant express how much of a joke this place it.

This place deserves negative stars, me and a couple of buddies bought tickets in advance to go to an after party but we couldn’t get in. We waited roughly an hour and a half before we decided to leave. My other friends without tickets told us that the establishment was selling “re entry” stamps in the back entrance for 50 dollars and they reached capacity and couldn’t let people with actual tickets get in. I would not recommend anyone to ever come to this place.

Do not go this club! As a lot of people have already stated, this place has 0 organization skills. Numerous people bought tickets in advance to attend an afterparty event just to instead stand in line for 2 to 3 hours. The staff literally had no clue what was going on and filled to capacity Instead of letting in ticket holders. The washrooms were in the worst spots making almost impossible to actually access them. It was an overall terrible experience.

The staff has been nothing but great every time I've gone there with my friend! I even lost my wallet and one of the bartenders tried to look for it around the club with me. The manager found it and immediately contacted me. We also love the music and the aesthetic of club, love the wall of album covers and the local artwork they use! Also they don't water down your drinks!! Probably our new favourite place

Cool venue but not very busy. Went there a couple weekends ago and was uncomfortable with one of the security guys who yelled at my friend and I, 20 feet across the bar, when we were walking up stairs looking for the washroom. Stairs were not roped off, everything appearing to be open. The gentleman was quite condescending and shouted at us multiple times. We used the washroom and left.

Don’t waste your time going here, even if it’s your favourite DJ. Poorly managed and incredibly rude staff. Paid way too much for a ticket a week in advance then the bouncer threatened to not let me in because he overheard me say I thought Palace Theatre was better. I will never go here again.

Every staff member was useless, horrible after party hosts. I feel bad for anyone who bought tix to Adventure Club. The blonde bartender at the back was the worst of them all. Horrible vibes, the worst service possible and hell the speaker system was even trash

Ace night club brings back memories. What hip hop is all about. The DJs play the best club bangers from all eras. Whether it be from the 90's early 2000's to even what's on top at the moment. The diversity of the different types, truly brings everyone together!

Shady staff and practices. Bouncers say they are at capacity to increase demand while the inside is empty even with ticket holders in line. Terrible management.

Dont waste ur time or energy. They overhype this so much but really it's nothing special. In fact it's worse than any club in Calgary that I've been to:/
