This could have been an ugly review. But I'll give an extra star for the bartenders because they're cool. I had a temporary license and showed it to the bouncer at the door. The bouncer looked at it and shook his head and handed it back to me, not letting me in. Fine that's normal. I took out my old driver's license along with the temp and handed it back to the bouncer, telling him that it was real. What he did next was "so shocking you wouldn't believe it!" (trying to caption it like those facebook articles) The bouncer took my temp, crumbled it up and threw it on the ground. No lie. I was so pissed. A nice stranger picked up my id and handed it back to me. Luckily there was another bouncer so I went to him and he was like "Woah chill man, go ahead. Sorry about that." I went inside, got my shot of Liquid Cocaine, and left. In case you were wondering...I was sober.

I came here for to visit some friends from Dallas. I had one fish bowl and two drinks. My card went missing after I gave it to the bartender. I told the bartender I gave her my card and she said she couldn’t find it and lost it. Come to find out she magically finds it after 30 mins on the phone with my bank to cancel the transactions. I check my bank statements today and I see I got charge over $100 on drinks THAT WERE NOT MINE. I called three times and no answer. If they would have tried to reason with me this would be a completely different story. I hope this review reaches to them and can get their attention.

This bar shows a very eccentric yet pleasant scene. It has recently been remodeled showing a display of party and class. The fish that are being held with in the tanks at aquarium are extremely exotic not to mention expensive. The aquarium holds one of 6th streets best bar tenders around whom I name as Rene. Rene has variety of personalized drinks created by himself. I preferably like the Tampico shot he makes but the Kermit kum is intriguing as well. Definitely 5 stars in my book

Usually love aquarium one of our favorite bars on 6th! Although, sadly the bouncer rudely wouldn’t let my friends and I in the bar. We had identification and everything but were still denied entry because of the bouncer’s personal opinion on how he thought “we were too drunk”. Very very frustrating. Hello?This is 6th street, people will be intoxicated. Just a friendly reminder to choose more professional bouncers:). This was on 1/3/20 around 12am.

The guy at the door is the stupidest person to have checking id's ! We are visiting from Az and he didn't allow us to go in because he didn't know how the Az Drives License looked. Everyone in the group is well over 25 and he denied entry because he wasn't sure if they were real. When we asked to speak to the manager he said no, get out the way. Worst customer service EVER! This place deserved a ZERO rating!

Amazing bar! Love the new theme and the slide. What’s even better about this place is that it has some of the most friendly and cool bartenders on 6th st (shout to Josh and Dorian). Very fast service and really good drinks. If you want to have fun, this is the spot to be at. My friends and I love this bar, we’ve made some great memories at this place. Fun fun fun!

Loved the music when I came to visit. The waitress was helpful but many items were overpriced especially going to the bar. I wouldnt argue with the prices if the restaurant wasn't so small and dirty. The fish tank was not clean at all which really upset me as a person who has fishes as well. This place has potential, however it needs some serious work.

Really fun themed bar! It's 2 stories, they have real fish tanks, a slide that goes from the second floor to the first and they have a fun tropical cocktail menu which they serve in glass fish bowls with sweedish fish and some other shark shaped candy! The bartenders are also always really nice. The only bar of its kind on 6th Street!

Amazing venue that brings a fresh vibe and fun atmosphere to 6th and the Capitol city. Run by some of the best people in town that put their heart and soul into the Austin Party Scene. The staff is top notch and the music on point. Anytime there is a Cleaver on board you know it’s a good time. Kudos Aquarium.

DON'T COME IF YOU ARE NOT WHITE. Once they didn't let me in because I had Air Force Ones on. The next time they threw me out for being "too drunk" when I did absolutely nothing wrong. Didn't fall, spill or aggravate anyone else. I've seen people in there drop glasses, stumble unconsciously...

Typical college bar. It's been a go to place on dirty 6th since many of the main bars closed down. ONE WORD : CHEAP drinks. Pretty much is what's expected on "dirty" 6th = filthy college kids! On slow weekdays though they do offer "beer pong" and other drinking games.

A bar that has an aquarium in it! So maybe that's not the most exciting thing but there are always nice people, good drink prices, and an excellent staff at this bar. The is a lot of room with the second story balcony. It's a 6th street bar well worth stopping into.

Apparently this bar doesn’t want certain “elements” in the bar. The door guy stated our friend couldn’t come in due to tennis shoes. While he says that, we watch a white guy leave the bar in tennis shoes. Never going here again.

Decent bar, but I honestly feel bad for the fish here. They have very minimal fish tanks with no interactive features for their health. Plus the music is blasting & I can just feel like they’re just very unhappy in here ):

We stopped here for no longer than 10 minutes because it's not spacious at all. The bar is unique, however, especially since they have a snake slide. It's another bar on another stop along the street of more bars!

Overpriced and didn't give enough alcohol. Paid 7 dollars for half a shot in some Sprite. When I told them, they brushed me off with someone remark about that's the legal amount. *Sigh weak management.

The best customer service you'll ever find on 6th st is at aquarium on sixth; Rene, goes above and beyond to make sure that my friends and I are having a great time. Highly recommend this place.

Unique theme offers a Vegas vibe and great atmosphere. Management and staff are professional. The UT and TSU students are always go big.

Great venue, music, plenty of seating, good prices and excellent downtown social scene. Service is good, but can get a bit loud. Makes for a late, where should we go next kinda place.

The environment at this bar is incredible! Every employee is so friendly and outgoing! I DEFINITELY recommend this place. They have a slide and aquarium with live fish in the walls!

Different than the rest of the bars in dirty 6th, The Aquarium stands classy. The great ambiance and a tipsy ride down the unique snake slide calls for a fantastic night!

The Aquarium has it's moments. It can be packed and filled with people dancing and having fun. It can also smell terrible. It is what dirty 6th is all about.

Horrible service and there is a theft problem. You will never be able to contact them since they don’t answer e-mails, social media messages or phones.

Terrible place, I watched the bouncer touch my friends private parts and then started beating him up in the back for accidentally dropping a glass.
