This is my second time reviewing this store and I couldn't be happier, after my purchase of Brooks Adrenaline GTS's some time ago, they're going strong! My wife and I revisited to get her some shoes because sketchers just weren't cutting it. Lachlan has helped on both occasions and been absolutely phenomenal, he's extremely professional and knowledgeable, has patience and brings out multiple shoes catering to what's right for you and listens to how you're feeling, with no pressure what so ever. Lachlan's communication is 10/10 and we left happy as can be. Good shoes are expensive, but from first hand experience, they're worth every dollar, especially with insoles to compliment. (We accidentally stole a pair of socks.. sorry Lachlan, I'll return them next visit, as rest assured, we'll be back!)

Went into the Southland store and received great service from Rob. However upon more research of the brand of shoe I was sold I discovered that the supplier had the shoe for $90 cheaper advertised on their website. When I called the store at 9am no answer so left a message to return my call (it still hasn’t been returned 7hrs later). I spoke to a online chat person who said someone from the store would be in contact shortly (that was 2 hrs ago). I had to try and ring them again and finally got to speak to a staff member who told me they don’t price match and that I can return the shoes for a full refund if I wasn’t happy with the price! Sad to say I will definitely be buying shoes else where from now on! It’s very disappointing that they are happy to rip customers off

After trying 3 other footwear places nearby came to Athlete's Foot and was blown away by the service. Lucy was super helpful and friendly and wanted to actually serve me. Unlike other places where customers are seen as an interruption to their conversation. I'm sure the fit machine thing helps but it wasn't just that, she knew what she was talking about and straight away brought out 3 different pairs that fit perfectly the first time. Also on that Athlete's Foot had size for normal people (I'm an 11 or 12). Once again other stores blame supply issues at the moment, but clearly AF can get them so mustn't be impossible. Will definitely be back when next I need shoes and won't waste time going to other stores.

Staff started to serve us, went to get shoes for son to try only to decide to start serving another customer, leaving us waiting. When I approached another staff member to give feedback at frustration, son still waiting, even though she said she was the manager, at no stage did she attempt to just say sorry for the miscommunication let me get you sorted. No accountability, no acknowledgement of feedback other than sometimes we have to multi task. I had to point out 3 other staff were free. Yet again nothing. Invest in basic principles of training your team on service & build some culture.

I purchased shoes online because we are on lockdown here in Melbourne. Not being in the footwear industry myself, I have no idea that "(D)" means a wide fit. I would have thought that a description like "WIDE FIT" might have been more useful to consumers. So they arrived and are far too wide for my wife. Her birthday present is useless and now Athletes Foot are telling me that returns are taking at least 4 weeks to process. Great experience Athletes Foot! Thanks for adding to our lockdown stress!

Purchased pair of Brooks 20 Glycerin runners. I have always been an ASICS man but after the recommendation from the young man who I can not remember his name I decided to give Brooks ago. After 40kms of running so far they are considerably more comfortable and definitely offer more support around the heal area which previously was causing me some discomfort. If you’re looking for runners then I would consider the Brooks 20 Glycerin. Happy running

Expensive, quite ordinary service (no empathy) and overcharged for one pair of shoes. Sticker on shoes said one price, charged another. When I queried the next day told the sticker was an oversight and nothing they could do. When I mentioned this was false advertising, still didn't care. Only seemed to be when I stated I would raise this with Head Office that there was a turnaround. 101 customer service...customer was obviously right...

Absolutely fantastic service provided at this store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Did not feel for a moment that I was being pressured to make a purchase but was provided all the necessary information about a foot condition I have at the moment and left extremely happy with my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 and some Planta Fasciitis insoles.

What a great 1st experience at this store. I bought a pair of Hoka runners after foot surgery. Steven showed me various pairs and professionally measure what I needed. Although the pair I wanted wasn't in stock, 2 days later they were delivered to my home. 1st class customer service. Well worth a visit.

Mark was so helpful and knowledgeable! No pressure to buy, either. I had a really good experience. The only thing I would say is ask the customer if they are happy to be scanned and if not offer measure feet the old-fashioned way.
