Cakes and bread are really good, the only annoying thing is they only make a really small amount of bread and rolls daily so there are never enough even early in the morning when we go. The rolls are really nice so it’s disappointing. When they have bakery in the name you would expect there to be plenty of bread but it’s almost as if the bread is an afterthought just to have another product for sale. It’s sad because as I said they do great bread especially the baguettes that you can’t get anywhere else in Pakenham. We really need a great bakery as apart from a million bakers delights which you get sick of after awhile and the Aussie bakehouse which has the worst bread, there’s nothing. This place could be a great artisan bakery if they just had enough product. Hopefully they will expand as the business is only fairly new. Update on this - the owner told us a few months ago when we went in that they don’t even make the rolls etc, they get them in. That was the last time we went, what bakery doesn’t make their own bread?

Edit 2023 march - Hasn’t improved at all. Service was atrocious. The lady working there, if you don’t want to work or be there, then leave. The customer doesn’t care about your poor attitude. Pie today was cold Custard Tart was mush Jelly slice was dropped into the bag like mud! HOPELESS So far from pleasant customer service, I felt bad for entering the store and bothering her. But I asked if the pies were hot or warm, she replied hot. Also bought a custard tart. Got home, pie was cold and glugy at best. Custard Tart was watery and literally disintegrated in my hand. My wife said it was good on previous visits, but I did not see that today. My lunch was rubbish, the worker was grumpy AF and I ended up buying a good pie and cake from the bakery in main street. Personally I would avoid this place like the plague

Purchased an onion and beef pie and the onion was raw, hard and crunchy so I took it back and was asked if I was sure 3 tines and if the meat was cooked . I was then offered another pie so I accepted a regular mince pie. 2 bites is all I ate, the bottom layer of pastry was only cooked on the very outer edge. The middle and inner layer was doughy as and undercooked. Husband tried a bite and said the same thing. He didn't enjoy his curry pie either said he could barely taste it . Really disappointed and not worth going back into complain about the second under cooked pie

If you want a really nice lemon meringue pie don't buy one from here. Brought one today and was really looking forward to having a piece for afternoon tea. Got home cut into it as it was a family size. The meringue on top hide the fact it wasn't a delicious light fluffy lemon cured but that sticky jam like stuff they sell at Coles and Woolies in their lemon tarts which I can't stand .

Food was alright not enough for me too go back again though. Pies didnt taste fresh and very bland. Sausage rolls just tasted like a plain sausage in it with not enough pastry surrounding it. Tried also too get some rolls but didn't have the ones i always can get at every other bakery. The setup too me did not feel like a bakery Disappointing!!!

Pains me to do it, but coffee was un drinkable, milk was so hot I couldn't even sip if for 20 minutes. Coffee taste was non existent and watery. Also orderd a pie and that was ok nice texture of the pastry but the filling was abit bland and boring in taste. Most definitely won't be going back unfortunately

Very convenient location for the Cardinia Lakes estate. Bright, clean shop. Nice coffee (Jasper brand), creamy and well made. Good babycino (milk, not just froth). Range of pies, sandwiches, pastries and drinks. Right across from Coles carpark.

It was worth the trip on my way back to Point Cook today being Wednesday 1st September and stopping at The Bakery Store and the Vinilla Slices where outstanding and the wholemeal seeded bread is so soft and yummy. Will be going back again.
