I am REWRITING my Memoir as of 3 months ago on my original review...with updated news!!! I moved in the HOOD abt 1 yr and 4 months ago. I have been going 2 dis cool beer store for the exact amount of time. I met quite a few nice folks as customers and Staff. There have been a few BAD Seed employees Customer Service 'Scammers' inside the beer stores especially when you try and bring empties to exchange 4 cash. For Future thought.....ALWAYS WATCH HOW MUCH YOU FEEL The Beer Store OWES you $$$ in returns. Michael the Manager is very nice indeed, so is Mr. H. the Martial Arts Muay Thai / Lethwei guy. We talk and shoot the BREEZE about Martial Arts and Life....whenever I pass by. Now, they have another hired employee named JOHN. He looks like Santa Claus with that long white beard. He told me a few days ago that MICHAEL the long time Manager of 37 yrs has finally RETIRED. God bless that man with good health, happiness, prosperity and long life!!!! Amen, Michael! God bless all at this Beer Store, Amen Jesus! Michel Tuacazzo
A couple of the older guys that have worked for a long time have serious attitudes. The way I've seen them talk to customers sometimes is unreal. I've literally seen the line of customers go quiet in disbelief. If you don't like your job, quit! Don't take it out on your customers because your life sucks. On one occasion I noticed a guy in line ahead of me had his phone out recording one of these occurrences. I really hope he posts it on here. Sooner or later one of them are going to pick the wrong guy to be rude to and end up receiving a free attitude adjustment. Surprised nobody he complained to the head office yet.
The Beer Store remains privately owned, I which one day we can bring prices of quality beer down to the dollar to dollar fifty mark. I like there empty return program, I guess that's the only way for now you can get value for the product, if reviews are important for a company listen to your consumers and work with our governments to bring down the price of beer. I like the variety they offer, for now it is what it is and we got to live with it.
Probably one of the most rudest staff i've ever seen in my life. Both the short bald guy and the tall white guy with glasses are very condescending. On top of that theyr'e always "out" of beer; my friend and I went 10 mins apart and ordered the same beer. They told me they were out and he got 10 of them.... Also watch out when they give you change or beer they tend to get mixed up with numbers in the double digits.
The employees are never in a good mood. I’ve learned to never crack a smile because they never return one and are always in a crabby mood. It must be hard to sell what you would rather be drinking I guess. I have no complaints other than disgruntled employees. It doesn’t seem like it would be a great job but please don’t make my day crappy because yours is!
The short older man with the glasses and baseball cap is definitely too comfortable in his job. He is rude, condescending and I dread every time I get stuck in his line. The audacity to act the way he does towards customers. If you don’t like your job, may I suggest getting a new one. He is one cranky old man!
I had to take back a few empties on Monday night and even during this really stressful time that we're living in I found the staff person incredibly polite and friendly. It's not easy having to deal with people on a daily basis especially now and I really appreciated the kindness.
Super nice lovely staff. Helped me sort my cans and things. Fair warning, make sure if u return things you check your change. I was given a laundry coin instead of a loonie and didn’t realize until I had driven home.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. Despite the long wait to return beer cans, the staff would come out and make sure people that are strictly buying beer isn't waiting in the return line.
Very polite staff, usually in and out very quickly and has my beers in stock.
