I used to love that cafe in the past but whoever runs that place right now is heading towards failure! They got a very unsafe bouncy castle and some puppies that require tokens and are absolute rip off.!!! The play area used to be nice and clean . Now the toys there look like not been cleaned for at least a year.. the whole place is filthy . Floor covered in sand even in the early hours.. Tables are always dirty while the ladies that are supposed to work there are sitting down chatting . If you ask to use the toilet as a client they don't let you use it and literally shout at you how people don't know how to use toilet and they are sick of cleaning it all the time ... I forgot my expensive sunglasses at the counter while paying , took the drinks to the table , then realised and went back, but the glasses were gone, they refused to assist me

OMG, the best place for a birthday party my son ariya love it,, children enjoy a lot, no worry about rain, they provide every thing, fruit pizza drink Trampling for children very friendly staff best and respect owner, we dance we sing they have Piano to sing and play happy birthday, even you not worry what children will do, they have toys book even play grand, children love it and price believes or not cheaper than everywhere because they also a parent and cheaper than another coffee shop as I ask, and everything fresh for Muslim can have halal pizza, for non-muslim whatever you ask they provide for us, we love it and I will do more birthday in this coffee shop. I have been coming to the Big Friendly Coffee for a number of years now and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming, always providing the very best customer service. They always get my coffee order just right (which some other coffee shops struggle to do) and they offer a wide selection to cold drinks as well as sweet and savoury food at a reasonable price. What I like most about the Big Friendly Coffee is the family friendly nature, and they always have a great range of activities for children which always seems appreciated by parents when they come by. Overall, a great place to come and relax for a couple of hours!

The cafe is ideally situated beside a lake which gives an element of calm and also close to the childrens playground. The cafe contains toys and ride on amusement toys to keep the children entertained. The food was satsfactory and not overly priced. My only gripe was the cost of the bouncy castle at the cafe, costing me nearly 10 pounds for two children for a few minutes. To top it off the cashier sounded agressive when she told me the price as if she was expecting an argument. I was wondering why the bouncy council was empty although attractive with a slide and basketball hoop.

Nice cafe especially for families. Toys available for children to play with. Nice space at the back of the cafe for children to sit and play. Nice variety of food available, including lunch for children. Friendly staff. This cafe also runs a phonics session for children every Monday at 10am which is a lovely group. Cafe also used to run arts and crafts classes for kids although I’m not sure if they still run it now. Other classes such as buggy walks etc are advertised there. Nice atmosphere especially for parents who have children with them.

It has a lovely outlook, close to the pond and splash park. Good for families, couples, and solo with a book. However: 1) coffee is mediocre at best 2) service was very average 3) overpriced for what it is, and for the area This place has so much potential instead of meh which is what it is currently.

I recently tried the caramel latte and iced caramel latte at The Big Friendly Coffee, and I must say, they were absolutely delightful! The caramel flavor was rich and not too sweet, and the coffee was perfectly brewed. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for coffee lovers. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

the staff is horrible, they behave very badly and they respond to you in one way or another arrogantly and for example if you ask them for coffee they give you tea, they reverse orders and they are dirty !!! … today I had the worst service, I ordered iced coffee and the staff made me latte, before ordering, the staff ate and because he got up from the table he was very arrogant and full of food in his mouth he did not sob , he spoke with his mouth full !!!!!

The best coffee shop ☕️ my fav coffee shop. It's by a lake with an amazing view, its the perfect spot. I love coming here at all times esp in the mornings it's peaceful and calm, the staff are friendly and they work so hard. Its a family run buissness so respect to them. The shop makes a difference, for example you get some elderly people that are lonely (some I know) and they would come spend time in the place where its peaceful. 10/10

Mentioned Halal on the menu, but poor attention to keep the halal and non halal items separated. I ordered margirata pizza for my son, when it arrived it had a large piece of ham in it. when I complained the staff didn't seem to bothered about it. If you only eat halal food then you should most definitely avoid buying in cooked food from this place.

Today I went to my friends daughter birthday party outside of the cafe. They also have bouncy castle. While kids were playing inside the bouncy castle, my daughter fell in a gap between the bouncy castle and a wall which should have had a safety net. She sustained a bump to the head and shoulder. Obviously safety was overseen at this cafe..will not take my daughter again.

It's a nice small cafe near the lake in the park and serves quite a few things like ice creams, candies, shakes and pizza etc. The options are definitely more than the size of the cafe and it has sitting inside and outside as well which is a big plus on a sunny day by the water.

I have ordered 3 pizza’s. They all had a flat and tasteless dough which definitely didn’t rest at all. Moreover, the pepperoni pizza was extremely salty. I had to reheat all the pizza’s once delivered as they were delivered cold. Such a nightmare

Great to have a cafe in Barking Park! Pizza was freshly made, I would have preferred a thicker crust. Lovely cakes!

A small cafe serving an array of cakes and pastries. Also a pizza place. A nice variety of coffees too. Lovely location right by Barking park lake. Seating outside for the summer, a d a child's play area inside too.

Could be fantastic... lovely premise and setting. if there was better selection of hot food like panini rather than just pizza and chips. Empty racks of crisps or gaps in between makes customers loose confidence.

Great service, very friendly family run cafe with good prices and some things you may not expect from a cafe in the park in a good way.

The cafe has a good range of hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries and pizza. The pizzas are well worth visiting for: tasty and fresh ingredients. There is also ice cream. And the staff are friendly.

Pizza was mouldy with a strange taste (like the bread had gone bad), it all went in the bin. Feel like someone just stole money from me at £9 a pizza which tasted that bad. Chips were nice.

Lovely coffee and great staff, but a latte has just increased from £2.30 to £2.60 some 13 per cent. Very sadly I shall no longer be visiting daily. Rather disappointed.

Excellent customer service and amazing food. Highly recommended place. They also do playgroups for young kids here, and various activities for adults too.
