I LOVE this place! The coffee is amazing, and the owner and his staff are all warm and friendly. Fast service too! In the summer it's a community gathering spot as they are set up with Cafe T.O. and the regular customers actually have all their own coffee mugs hanging on a board. Very cool interior, and the Cafe T.O. setup during the summer is awesome. You can't always find a table, but people are so friendly and the vibe is great, sitting with strangers often happens! However by the time you get up, they'll be friends. The best part is they have their own incredible tasty blends with awesome creative names. SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!

I strongly recommend this coffee cafe if you are coffee lover. I lived while in Europe and I found there the best coffee. But I couldn’t find coffee that matches to the taste of the coffee I used to drink in Europe. Then I found big guy little coffee in my neighbourhood and I found the best coffee in Toronto. The void freshly prepared with high quality. I want to drink coffee cup after cup. They have variety of coffees. The cafe is nicely decorated with authenticity and the environment is well maintained for those who want to spend time with books and laptop. The owner is friendly and the customer service is excellent.

Now here's a local place, i took a chance on, and let me tell you it's a very quante establishment. very nice great selection decor. Makes you feel right at home. The staff are great friendly, and very hospitable. More or less will make a coffee to your liking, and my favourite part is how laid back everything is. The owners are South African, so there is a nice sense of their home that's put into the decor. Which is great.!! Overall I had a great experience, would definitely go again, great to sit back and great for a first date as well. Love this place.

We are lucky to have so many excellent choices for coffee and pastry in our neighbourhood. Or maybe actually it's a curse LOL The Big Guy's Little Coffee Shop has excellent Fair Trade coffee and delicious homemade baked goods. The shop itself is full of charm with homey decor and cute quotes. The owners are welcoming and friendly. In the summer they have a couple of tables outside so you can enjoy people watching on Lakeshore. Excellent coffee at a fair price.

Wonderful shop, great drinks and food, the owners are fantastic. A really great place to spend time and meet people, or work by yourself around the corner on the comfy couches.

Small, rustic and cute coffee shop. Great place for book lovers, the walls are all decorated and the back is all book shelves with a sitting area which gives such a peaceful atmosphere. Owner is such a friendly guy. Can be crowded but definitely a good place to quietly do work. Washroom are very clean and Iced coffee is excellent.

It's like going home and making yourself the best coffee ever. Homey atmosphere with great, fast friendly service . A few witty quips from the big guy himself and coffee was a blast . Amazing prices too. Half the price for latte as anywhere else. Personally I don't feel it's reasonable to charge 6$ for milk and espresso. Milk is not that expensive. These guys prove me right.

I'm visiting the area from the US & was looking for a coffee shop to do some work in that was near my airbnb. I'm so glad I found this place. The red eye was good. The service & atmosphere were amazing. It's very comfy & homey inside. The owner also allowed me to sit & work after they closed early for a civic holiday. I will be back anytime I'm in the area!

Very cozy and quaint cafe on Lakeshore. Friendly staff. Makes you want to sit in and enjoy your cuppa joe. I was in a rush and ordered my coffee to go - a latte in oat milk - and it was delicious, creamy and strong. I will be sure to make time to sit in next time I visit the area.

I ordered a Mocha from this cute little place this morning. I read all the great reviews, so I wanted to see for myself. It was such a lovely place and the (owner) I’m assuming was so happy, singing while serving me. The mocha was amazing! I think I found my new coffee shop in this area :)

  • Ainishah Hemraj

This was the best coffee I’ve had in a realllly long time! The drink I got was an iced latte with oat milk and it’s perfect, the espresso is incredible! Coffee shop is super cute inside, the owner is really funny and also accommodating. Will definitely be coming back here more often.

Excellent coffee and good pastries in a friendly café. Look at the walls and enjoy the various comments and proverbs on coffee. My favourite, a Turkish proverb; "Coffee should be as black as hell, strong as death, and sweet as love." Perfect!

  • Nato

Coffee ☕ taste good, good to help locals. He believes in helping the environment, example using spaghetti sticks instead of stir sticks for stirting your hot beverages...he has unique coffee beverages "red eye", "lake mist", "cortado"...

Great little coffee shop! I'm a student and this is my favourite study spot in the area! Super cozy and good cheap coffee, always some good music playing over the stereo. Even has a couple board games you're free to play

Big Guy’s is my go to Coffee shop in Downtown “New Toronto”. Lol. Excellent coffee and tasty baked goods. An eclectic mix of clientele in a slowly gentrifying area. Now also selling used books.

What an absolute gem. Friend and I sat here with our lattes (and an excellent chocolate chip cookie) and knit together. Incredible atmosphere and will absolutely be returning.

The coffee is good. The decor vibe is a little mixed up, they don't have quite enough in the way of food, and it's a little dark in the back. Otherwise, the people are nice and the coffee is good!

  • Silvana Klaric Boricic

A lovely place with a lot of charm and uniqueness and a very good coffee. If the owner were kinder and provided a customer service with a smile I would rate s place with 5 stars.

Cool dude behind the counter, super community focused, I’ve been here 15 years. If you come in the morning, you can catch some good debates with the old timers in the front. More

Quiet and charming oasis full of bookshelves and well-worn furniture. Perfect spot to enjoy a tasty coffee and a few moments with a friend or a refuge from the noise and bustle.
