I took my friend here for his birthday. We got there when they opened and were the only people in the bar yet we were told we couldn't sit in the main room because they were fully booked (I had also booked). We asked about the tarot card menu as this was our reason for booking and was told it wasn't being used, with no further explanation. We were then seated on a wet patch. When we mentioned this to the waiter we were told they were aware there had been a leak and the seat might still be wet: no offer to move us. The tall thin waiter with parted hair was inattentive throughout the night. Once we asked for the menu and after 10 minutes he still hadn't brought it (there were about 5 other people in the bar at this time so can't excuse them for being busy). Another time we asked for the menu and was brought somebody else's bill! When we asked for the menu again this waiter asked if we wanted the bill. We said 'menu' very clearly so wasn't sure how he could confuse it. He was an actor and seemed more concerned with speaking to a lady who worked at a theatre nearby. When walking to find the bathroom my friend was confronted with a group of waiters standing around talking, they all went quiet when he appeared and he felt awkward. He asked where the toilets were and Diego told him they didn't have any. When I went to the bathroom I also felt like I'd interrupted their social gathering and felt awkward. The entire night felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. It was very disappointing. Jack the manager gave us our bill at the end and apologised for the other staff members and got rid of the service charge but unfortunately the damage was done. A very unpleasant experience.

We traveled to London a month back, took to some of the bars and such in the local area. Me, my partner and friend wanted to have a cocktail so we checked out this glamorous yet quirky looking place online. Unfortunately when we arrived it simply didn't cut the flashy imagery online. The organiser said we could not sit together and to sit at the bar if we wanted to stay. I took no objection to sitting at the bar and appreciated that we didn't book. As soon as we sat apart the only jolly part of this place (the barman) simply said I will move your chairs together. It became clear that the organiser took one look at us and didn't want us in her establishment and looking around at the snobby glaces of other we where not to surprised. Atmosphere is off so ok drinks... It looked like a pretty menu, we liked the layout but pretty they where not. My partner's was simply disgusting like a thick, foamy, pulped, health drink that one holds there nose in the morning to rid themselves of the vile taste and only its not healthy and a staggering £16.00. Mine with the same eye watering pricetag had peanut butter in, it was ok... Ok for £16.00! This place is a prime example that sometimes just because a place is posh, presented well and fancy don't make it so. I have given the service a three simply to the kind barman just doing his job it what looks like a toxic establishment.

I just love this place ! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting London. The staffs were very nice and the cocktails were good. Although they seemed quite overpriced, considering the atmosphere and the live music it’s totally worth it. The interior is amazing and very sophisticated. The decorations and lights are just so beautiful!! And their cute ideas of having menus like taro cards and bills in mini books just made me love this place so much :) I would love to come again. Next time I would like to try other menus as well Really enjoyed my time here ! Thank you for the great experience

The Bloomsbury Club is a top notch venue. I attended an event here and now that I know about it, I will definitely be returning for drinks. The decor is classy and the service is proficient. It's not cheap, but you don't expect a high-end bar to be cheap. What you do expect is to receive some bar snacks with your drinks, and we did (olives and almonds). My only complaint would be that the bar does not have some of the ingredients needed to make some of the more interesting cocktails which are popular these days.

After a disappointing first visit, I was invited back by the Bar Manager Scott to give the bar a 2nd chance. Everything about this visit was excellent. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing. Cocktails were delicious, we tried the special ones for St Patrick's day and the gin martini. Food is limited but very good, the ploughman's board is definitely recommended. If you are in the area and looking for a good cocktail bar then this is one you should try

Bloomsbury club is definitively a hidden gem. The venue itself is great and offers a very nice atmosphere. It feels like a secret club and it's definitive worth a visit. Francesco is a great bartender and his drinks are amazing. I will definitely revisit the next time I am in London and I will strongly recommend the Bloomsbury club to my friends.

The cocktails are first class and the four Rose'si gle barrel old fashioned was truly world class. We were feeling hungry and ordered a few burgers which were not too bad. The real killer was the spinach that had enough salt on to give someone sodium chloride poisoning. Some of the staff are truly excellent whilst others seemed like they were ready to quit. A nice place but can find better elsewhere for the price point.

Very nice bar in the center of London . I visited it some days ago, it was quite busy but John , the guy at the door found a way to make us happy by giving us a nice table. Despite the rest stressed workers , he was very calm and ready to give solutions. The food was good but not as good as the cocktails. Totally recommend it.

Nice vibes. Cocktails weren’t impressive (tried 4 different ones) in terms of presentation and taste was just OK. Service was quite aggressive, asking people 4 times within 30 minutes if they wanna order something else after being there for one hour is very annoying. Also service was slow. The live band was quite good and the atmosphere was intimate.

Male bartenders attitude was absolute rubbish making us feel incredibly unwelcome when we arrived at 12am regardless of the fact that the bar hadn't yet taken last order and tried to actively discourage us from entering even though our entire group was staying in the hotel. Wouldn't come back just because of this incredibly rude first impression.

Cocktail bar with a Roarin’ 20s atmosphere. There was live music. As for seating, I’d recommend to request a seat in the green sofa area inside upon making the reservation. The tarot inspired cocktail menu is impressive. Overall, I had a great time here, but one thing that can be improved is the service: quite slow and unorganized. Regardless, I still had a great evening here and would come back.

I think this might be my new favourite bar! Cosy, classic and cool all at the same time, massive cocktail menu of well known drinks and many of their own creations (beautiful menu too!) - I decided to let myself be guided by Marco, the talented cocktail barman who made me a fantastic El Presidente. Great atmosphere, unpretentious, and charming service from Vlada too. Hope to be back again soon!

Such a beautiful cocktail bar! It is cosy, classic and cool all at the same time. I loved the deco and art work, the ambience, everything! Vlada was a fantastic waitress and she treated and welcomed us very nicely and warmly. The cocktail was amazing, Marco, the cocktail barman made one to my liking and I loved it. I will defo go back there. It is a fantastic discovery.

It is a beautiful environment. No question. Evening drinks? Exceptional. Their morning coffee on the other hand... ? scalding hot watered down, £5 and served by a less than happy set of waitresses who makes you consider walking away from your overpriced dirty water than stay and take in the experience. Skip mornings here. It's a cocktail bar hands down.

My favourite bar in London. Phenomenal staff, intimate atmosphere and exceptional cocktails make for a fantastic evening. I've spent many a Friday and Saturday night chatting away to the accompaniment of their live music. Brian manages an amazing team and Charlotte and Sebastian stand out as the most talented cocktail makers I've come across in London.

Beautiful bar within the hotel. Nice booths and seating in snug nooks. Greenery and fairy lights don the pillars, ceilings and walls making this a romantic place. Good cocktails and good wine list. This small but romantic bar is a must for couples. Booking is advisable if you want a table in the this part of the bar, but worth making the effort.

Bloomsbury Club was a nice find in London. It’s a perfect date spot to grab some cocktails. The menu is themed after tarot cards and each drink has a theme. The drinks were delicious as they were potent. Definitely would recommend stopping by!

Went on for a refreshing drink after dinner. Horrible tepid “Freedom” flat lager. Complained about it got a replacement just about as bad. £13:50 for a medium glass of NZ cooking wine. No need for that. Not going back anytime Pity because it is a very nice venue. Lack of leadership in the front of house team I suspect.

Credit where credit is due! Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Staff were very attentive with olives, almonds, drinking water on the side etc. Drinks are more pricy than usual but for the service and atmosphere it’s worth a few extra pounds. Met a friend after 4 years here and we had a great time. Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been to this place many times and the service, atmosphere and drinks are always impeccable. Lovely Vlada has described every cocktail and made us look forward to them, she’s a fantastic host. Went here for cocktails last night to celebrate our anniversary and were treated very well by the staff, they even gave us a glass of wine on the house which was greatly appreciated. The live music was lovely, the decor very beautiful and cozy, and the cocktails unique and tasty. Would definitely come back.

This was such a great find. So glad I booked. Really well decorated and actually not too pricey considering the service and quality of cocktails. I would 100% go back. Really good that there isn't a booking fee for large groups too. Slight let down on the staffing front. Spillages! And lack of attention.

Always check this place is running normally as it's often occupied for private events, and if not it's essential to reserve a table for drinks. But if you do manage to get a seat there, especially on a quiet night, it's top notch. Some of the best cocktails in the city.

I can’t praise Tibor and the rest of bloomsbury club enough for the fanstastic valentines experience, from the complimentery shots of amaro montenegro to the extensive knowledge of their menu.This place is quickly becoming my favourite speakeasy in London.

Stunning venue in a very impressive building and great location. Cocktails were really special and good. Service was very professional and attentive. Prices are slightly higher but it's worth it, especially for a special occasion.

Great bar in this cosy club in the Bloomsbury hotel, slightly away from the busy main road. Well arranged seating such that one can meet in groups without being too close to another group. Good selection of drinks and snacks.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, background music, design and service. The cocktails we had were creative and are not resemble to anything I had before. Bear in mind that it is a bit pricey but definitely you get what you pay for.

Really good ambience, friendly staff and well priced. There is a little courtyard type place when you enter and go down the stairs, definitely worth trying to be seated here when the weather is nice.

One of my favourite bars in London. Great atmosphere and service, special cocktails for about £14 apiece. Live music from 9pm at weekends. Definitely more upmarket but no specific dress code.

Lovely lovely place to go for a drink and catchup with friends. Very nice atmosphere, sumptuous surroundings and decor but completely unpretentious. The Dalloway Terrace upstairs is special.

A very nice bar indeed, centrally located so it's a good meetup spot, cocktails are nice if a bit on the pricey side (but still, it's a hotel bar technically).
