I inquired with the server about vegetarian options, and they confirmed their availability. Additionally, the server thoughtfully pointed out that these items were cooked in the same oil as meat products like chicken or fish, which I appreciated. Although I was already aware of this, the extra detail provided by the server was definitely a win for me, showing their commitment to ensuring my satisfaction. To my pleasant surprise, the food turned out to be quite good! I also decided to try a new drink they had introduced that week, the Raspberry Lemon Vodka. While it was okay, I mentioned to the server that it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Without hesitation, the server offered to get me a different drink. The fact that the server cared about my experience as a customer was impressive. Establishments with such attentive servers should value and retain them because, without a doubt, I would consider returning with my students!

There are two doors, one in the front and one at the side. I believe the side door had the wheelchair accessibility!
I've been going to the Cambie since 1993. Sometimes on a daily basis. Of course prices have gone up over the years, but the bar has managed to keep the food tasty and the whole experience budget-friendly.

It is possible to find parking around the bar. There are also spots on the east and west sides of Victory Park. If possible, take public transit.
Kid-friendliness
It is a bar, but I have seen children dine there at lunch. But it is definitely 19+ and no place for a child as the day progresses.
Wheelchair accessibility
Entrances and washroms are definitely accessible. And the bar itself is on the ground floor. You mightbfind accessible parking on the street, but there is a parakade on Cordova across the street from the bar
The Cambie is by far one of my favourite nightlife destinations in Vancouver and it has something for everyone; I would like to give a big shoutout to Liam and DJ Chozen. This year I was helping plan the after party for my work’s holiday party on a Saturday and I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t be able to make anything happen with such short notice. However, we were fortunate to have a chat with Liam who not only got us sorted with the reservations - but was also able to accommodate additional people from our other two branches AND went above and beyond to meet us at the front door to make sure my whole party got in without a hitch. Truly better VIP service than the majority of the venues in town. Lastly, if Liam was the conductor - DJ Chozen was the orchestra’s, providing the musical score for one of the best nights we’ve had on the town. Playing everything from 90s jams, to EDM, to throwbacks to the essentials of Mr 305-worldwide (Pitbull), we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Thank you Liam and DJ Chozen for the best night!

Used to go there decades ago when it was a real dive bar. Now it is clean and airy and full of nerdy rich kids in their 20s. Noisy and annoying. Server and door staff seem to struggle with basic English, they were difficult to talk to. Service was slow and unattentive. Not a great bar IMHO. However, I also had the BEST burger I have had in a long, long time. Double bacon cheese burger was OUTSTANDING, as recommended by a friend. 5 stars . Wife had gross fish tacos, I tried to eat one and it was terrible. So the place kinda sucked BUT that burger was worthwhile. I'll be back for that, but not much else. It's nothing like the bar I knew and loved back in the day.

Service is non-existent. There are 3 bars. I was there, one was closed. Yet we were sitting at one that was supposed to be open, no dice. Not exaggerating, 20 minutes would go by between servers taking orders. They then closed 2/3 bars. Extra fun was a security guard who prohibited my GF to come back into the bar after going for a smoke break with a friend. Little runt claimed my GF hadn't been in the bar (we'd been there for like 6 hours) and then harassed her for not having picture ID (she's 43 years old, had digital copies of her ID). The lovely night ended with the harassing security guard challenging me to a fight, with his buddy backing him up (another short chubby dude). I walked away out of kindness as I had 50 lbs on the two idiots, I'm lanky so I got a good foot of reach on them, and I'm an amateur boxer who could easily lay out both of the in under 5 minutes. Losers.

We went on a Saturday night, and the live music really made my whole night light up! The singer they had, his energy was very uplifting and changed the whole atmosphere of the bar experience! Initially, we went in for drinks but ended up staying for food, we ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries and pulled a pork pulled sandwich with fries. The burger tasted like it was made from frozen patty, and the bacon tasted like it's been microwaved. The pulled pork wasn't the greatest either, but it was manageable. The drinks were good! We ordered the specials of the day. I would not recommend the food, but drinks and vibes really sold me to the place.

I visited the restaurant in the evening time. There were three of us. We had our valid Id cards that were approved by the staff. Later on we requested for some time to decide what to order. Once we were ready, we tried to call the waitress or the attendant three to four times Tbh, we got a straight ignore from the attendant ,regardless of us being polite and gentle. However, this act from staff was extremely disrespectful for us. So we better decided to leave the place. Before leaving the premises we encountered one of the staff member and we reported the entire situation to her. Instead of attending us in a gentle manner ,she was ok with us leaving the place and didn’t even bothered to stop us. Please take a required action this disrespectful act from your staff.

I'm so happy this place improved but didn't change. There are way less tables inside now, and less crowded, staff are wearing masks, but are still as friendly as ever, and it smells fresh and aired out. Loved it !! Our server was very nice, knowledgeable, and happy to assist us (sorry, I didn't get her name). The food came fast and it was as amazing as I remember, maybe even better. Got the big Nachos (they are Huge; maybe for 3-4 ppl), chicken strips, and a pitcher of beer. Happy that I went back, it's been too long. ❤
Excellent staff and fun environment. Made it in time for the happy hour tacos and beer specials. Had the pulled pork tacos and they were very tasty and good sized portion. Had a couple of good options on the rotating taps. The entertainment was outstanding. Would have danced the whole time if Covid regulations didn't prohibit it. Stood to chat with someone in our own party and was asked politely to sit down by the staff. Can't wait for real life to return so we can dance the night away here.
Maybe this place should check who they hire as the security guys. Haven't seen someone with so much attitude in my life and both of those goons who were present acted extremely racist to us. That alone, spoiled our entire experience of this place and we won't be coming there for sure, neither would recommend anyone. I visited on Friday, September 8, 2023 around 10:15 PM

Happened to go on a Tuesday and it didn't disappoint. I have to say the food is excellent. I had the chicken tacos and they came with fries for under $20. There portions were huge and the fries were tasty. After we ate, the party started! By the time we left, we couldn't even walk around and the lineup outside was huge. It was a great experience, might try it again.

One of the best bars in Vancouver. Cambie tuesdays is a must to go, it’s like a big party for international people. The food is also great and cheap. The service has changed through the years, the new staff rocks! The music could be better, those playlists are for 2010s, but probably an updated one could be what this place needs.

It's always a good time at Cambie. But the recent visit was something I had never encountered before. It was really busy. I don't know if it's due to an event or just a regular night. The staff are friendly the bartender she was really nice. Even though it was very busy, she did her best to serve fast. Will definitely be back

Service was painful, probably because they were empty. I had the bacon beef burger with fries. Nice bun, perfectly cooked, and the fries were crispy. The atmosphere is funky with an outdoor patio. Definitely visit again.

Took my friend to their weekly punk nights on fridays and had a blast! The food took a little long and they gave me a discount on the final bill. Ordered one of their original cambie lemonades and they took a photo of me n my buddy. Amazing decor, the friendliest staff (girl in the pink shirt I love you), was a great night !!!!! will be coming back for sure:)
Great selection of popular craft beers on tap. Good menu with everyone's favourites: pizzas, burgers, tacos, sandwiches, wraps and applies. A good place to meet people, to have lunch, but also to party in the evening.

A fun bar. Good food with several vegan and vegetarian options. Decent service. There’s an outdoor patio. At night, The Cambie is frequented in particular by young adults dancing and enjoying inexpensive drinks. Sadly, there are a lot of mentally ill and drug-addicted people in the area. Many tourists are shocked by this.

Nice place with good vibes. Sometimes the music choice is debatable. The bartender must have been having a bad night because he just wouldn't top up what me and my friend thought was an undersized jug, even after asking him like 3 times. It was kind of funny, but also horrendous customer service, probably won't be back for a while. 2/5
Its a bar and grill. For $9 this is what I got with bottomless coffee. Its clean, warm and dry. The atmosphere is cool a bit bohemian and world traveler mixed together. There are many flags hanging and a few hostels near by. Its a few minutes walk from the gas town clock which is iconic. A fun spot to stop in - day or night.
Nice open space, got some character and feel to the place. The service was just a little slow but friendly and good. They have a buy one get one free lunch special going on which was great. The prices were reasonable too. Pretty cool place to check out if you are ever in the Gastown area in Vancouver. Worth trying.
Great place to watch soccer and have some food and drinks. I’ve been visiting for a year or so and the last time I had one server being extremely rude to us. Apart from that I will keep visiting.

It's hard to rate this bar as there are a number of good points, drinks and livelyness flow in abundance at night. But the food (for breakfast) left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a party then this is a good place to start. It definitely pumps out music till late with a large single crowd.
It’s a good place for enjoying on a budget. We ordered Nachos and fries. Fries were nice and hot but we have definitely had better nachos in other bars. The vibe of the place is awesome though. Casual and chill atmosphere.

My very first bar I ever went to in Vancouver. It’s a good spot to meet other people as it also runs as a hostel. Long gone are the days where you would see Mr. Chi pig. It’s lost some of its funk but it can still provide a good evening, afternoon or early morning. The food menu is decent enough.
You do not come here for fast services. The environment is good and there are sports playing on the televisions. The employees/servers are friendly and will answer questions from visitors from afar. Great place to chat with people from far-flung places and to hear foreign tongues spoken.
All staff is great. They will make happy hour for you. Food? NOT BAD! but hard to generalize the quality only by poutine . Beer? So so

Spacious place, which is nice, high ceilings. It’s nice they do karaoke night. I can also appreciate the fun decor and artwork. The guys who walk around with a tshirt that says “Staff” are incredibly nice, however they aren’t waiters. So,
We have been coming here EVERY single week, but for some reason yesterday, the blonde waitress decided to stop serving us. She claimed we needed a break from drinking, even though no one was drunk, and we hadn't ordered much. She ignored

Great place for games and drinks but they somehow charged me 13$ for a 5$ margarita and I only realized later, but I guess that’s my fault also for not checking before paying.
Great drink specials and the onion rings are the best. Great service! Love the old floors and the yellow line was use to separate the men and women back in history.
Staff was excellent, especially the female bartender. Did her job exceptionally well, made sure females in the bar were safe. And the tacos and drinks were great!
Very friendly staff, great food! Really cool bar, great atmosphere and decor. Great value too! I would highly recommend coming here before a Canucks game! More
Loved this place, bartenders and servers were great and the people there were fun and we felt right at home in this bar. Can't wait to come back!
Been here several times. Very much a younger person's bar & I find it amusing - at my age - to be asked to show ID to gain admittance!
The food has greatly improved since I was there a couple years ago. We got the happy hour specials and shared, pizza was the only so so food.
