My family loved it here. Everyone was nice and welcoming. Beautiful, serene and peaceful place. We saw some unique exhibits. Photographers and painters were around painting the scenic views and taking pictures. Several classes to attend for adults and kids. There was a class for kids in session sculpting clay bowls. We saw the same class later walking with their instructor through the trails learning about different plants, trees, and sculptures. Free for educators. Great for first dates or just to take a stroll enjoying nature. Great for kids

Laguna Gloria is my favorite museum in Austin. The scenery and incredible art make it one of the best spots in Austin for special moments. That's why when my wife and I started our wedding planning process in 2019, Laguna seemed like a no-brainer for our intimate outdoor ceremony. Everything about the experience was so magical and perfect! We loved working with Arin Madera (touring the site to signing our contract) and then Shannon Willis (the rehearsal and our day of logistics). The staff is so professional and kind and made our little COVID wedding possible. We truly felt celebrated and taken care of. Highly recommend!

A great spot in Austin to walk around in nature and enjoy modern sculptures. There are great views of the lake/river and there are sculpture installations scattered throughout the property, including along the shoreline. It's interesting to see how the sculptures interact with their surroundings versus just being placed in a "white box" museum. Kids can have some room to run, just no touching most of the pieces. If you have Bank of America I believe you can get in free some weekends, check their website.

An Austin gem. This historical sculpture garden has fantastic works of art and offers a tranquil lake side escape. The second Saturday of the month has a free kids craft activity area in the main house. Parking can get tricky on weekends so if you find a spot while driving up- snag it. The cafe has a great selection and the walking paths interlaced with exhibits are very well maintained. Awesome work by the Contemporary Austin.

It was a really impressive outdoor sculpture and art gallery. There were so many unique pieces and the nature is gorgeous. It can be a little hot and humid in the summer but as long as you prepare for it then it's manageable. All of the art blended well with their environments. It was a great place to walk around and I'm looking forward to returning!

Amazing place to go with family. This was our first time here and the wonderful staff made us feel so welcome especially the lady with the curly hair at the front desk she's was so kind. My granddaughter did not want to leave, she made sure she visited every place on the map we were given. I highly recommend taking your family here!

A great little art walk to visit. It’s definitely a bit out of the way from where you’d typically find sculpture museums but still definitely a place to visit. It is mostly outside so come prepared to walk! Although it does seem like a bit of a scavenger hunt as you can miss some pieces if you don’t pay attention. Would definitely recommend! They are currently doing only reservations so make sure to get your ticket ahead of time.

My rate is 3,7. Got in today for free with Bank of America - first weekends gratis for card holders. The garden and views on the river/lake are beautiful. The statues not so interesting (but I know contemporary art is not understood by many ). It was hellish hot today in the garden. Better go in another season! They closed at 1 pm due to the place being reserved for a wedding. Sept. 4 2021

A real gem, don’t miss it if you have time in Austin. I went on Friday morning and it was not crowded. Can see it all in an hour but you will want to take your time and maybe go back to see some favorites like I did. Easy walking. I took the bus and had about a mile walk to the gate. Parking looked a little tight for those with cars, you might want to ask about that.

Took a drawing class here last fall, highly recommend the art classes that they offer . Their teachers are very knowledgeable and the classes are some of the most reasonably priced in the city. Such a beautiful campus, peacocks everywhere, water and a beautiful trail with sculptures galore! Very inspiring campus for drawing, photography, writing, etc.

Excellent to walk around and enjoy the art and nature. Staff was very nice and helpful. If it's your first time and don't have a reservation; visit the visitor center to the path to the left of the front gate, door on the right, to obtain a ticket.

In the stillness of quiet places, our mind drifts to memories, both cherished and regretted. These moments of introspection remind us of life's impermanence and the dance of joy and sorrow. Such places aren't merely physical spots but portals to our inner world, where time and memory meld, evoking a deep, transformative melancholy.

Beautiful location for a wedding, elopement, or engagement session. One of the dreamiest and greenest locations in Austin with a hint of mid century modern inside. The photos you get here are *chefs kiss* and the photo pass is super affordable.

I found out about the Place through some friends and I'm really glad I found it because has some pieces from some amazing artists. Would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to spend a few hours in the beautiful Park and as a tourist fell really welcoming into Austin plus the staff was really nice at the help desk.

I'm a photographer and recommend Laguna Gloria to ALL of my couples! It is the perfect place to slow down, enjoy the views, and get beautiful photos. Indoor space perfect for sanctuary on a hot Texas day, and so many picture-perfect corners all over the property! I cannot recommend a visit, or a photo shoot here, enough :)

It's hard to beat an outdoor sculpture garden that's also on the water! Definitely worth a visit for the location itself. The art is quirky and fun, but definitely very modern. You can go into the house and see a few of the rooms on the bottom floor. Your ticket also gets you access to the Contemporary Museum on Congress.

Honestly, I liked this place better than Mount Bonnell. There aren't many people at the moment, so it's really nice to walk along the windy lakeside and look at the sparkling waves and statues.

Fantastic museum with low admission fees. They even participate in Bank of America's Museums on Us program. Friendly staff and the outdoor sculpture garden is initially confusing but once you orient yourself, it's pretty easy. Lots of cool and unique pieces. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Came here for a memorial and what a beautiful space. It was the perfect setting for a gathering and the amphitheater that over looks the lake was stunning and the perfect backdrop. The crew was wonderful. Awesome vallet options and nice to have a beautiful natural outside space to gather at.

One of my favorite places in Austin. A beautiful historic home with trails and sculptures along a body of water. Very serene and peaceful. They have a little cafe with appetizers and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

One of the best kept secrets in terms of tourist stops in Austin. The grounds are beautiful, and the space really is wonderful for special events, or just a quiet morning walk on the grounds. Don't miss seeing the peacocks at Mayfield Park just nextdoor.

Outdoor family friendly activity with a number of contemporary sculptures on display. A bit difficult to get around if you are carrying something like a stroller. Take advantage of free Thursdays.

Great place to wander around among the tree lined paths around a lagoon with internationally respected contemporary sculpture. Beautiful grounds. Art school also located on the property. The classes I have taken were excellent.

So worth it! The exhibits are so fun and interactive! Spend a beautiful day outside! Lots of parking. Pretty sure it’s free Tuesday. And if you buy admission you get admission to both museums: this on and the one on Congress.

A fantastic place to visit, especially during a global pandemic. Get a little walking done with art and nature. I'm a member, but I enjoy bringing new people there every time as if it were my first visit. What a gem!

Beautiful gardens and art. Lovely, gorgeous, fabulous. Art classes offered for drawing, painting, ceramics, etc. Thursdays are free admission to walk the grounds and view the art. Perfect place to have a wedding.

Best 14 acre contemporary art hunt for kids hands down. My three literally ran to all 14 exhibits on the grounds … great way to exhaust their energy. They had fun and we all enjoyed the afternoon together.

Not a review of the main museum or school but of the grounds, trail and sculptures. A lovely walk in a picturesque setting. Many interesting sculptures and some site-specific installations.

I'm taking a weaving class, and I love it. The teachers are fantastic, and it's fun. Only issue is that there's not an accessible stall in the bathroom.
