The Creative Exchange is so cool! The artwork and art objects they’ve curated in the space are all unique and well made, and I see a lot of familiar local artisans work on the walls and displays. While the galleries in this town do well to present local and national talent at high prices, this store seems to specialize in true quality work from local artisans that is not only high-quality, but affordable for all people! There’s something here for everyone. Some of the folks that work there are not only knowledgeable about the art scene in town, they are also practicing artists themselves. It’s great to see local talent supporting each other and bringing more unique finds into the mix. While the store isn’t huge, it packs a mighty punch because of the connections they have with their community. I believe the Creative Exhange is a huge step in the right direction for the art scene in Jacksonville. Of course, they sell more than just art, but I get excited about that aspect of the store in particular.
