I bought a DJI Ronin RS2 unit from Digital Experience almost 3 weeks ago. I then ordered accessories from the USA (not available in SA). So.. never used the item for 2 weeks until the items from USA arrived. The Raven eye does not connect. A locking lever on the unit does not lock. This is shocking for a brand new item. I took the item back Wednesday week ago and was told that it could take 14 working days (really for a brand new unused item) I called them on Wednesday and was told that they would call me back with a response.... No call back. I called again yesterday and was told that the item has been sent to DJI and they would call me back today. No call back. I called again today and given an excuse that their phones are down. They said that James would call me back. We now wait and see. In terms of CPA, as the item does not work as intended, I now need to be placed in a position where either I receive a working item or a refund. I never receive any calls back from this store. No returned call from James (this was to be expected) CPA states: If the goods bought from a supplier are defective (not suitable for its usual purpose or for the purpose it was bought, of poor quality and bad working order, or not useable or durable), a consumer has 6 months from the date of delivery to return the goods to the supplier, at the supplier’s risk and expense. At the consumer’s choice, the supplier must fix, replace or refund the goods bought by the consumer. The voetstoots clause no longer applies; this means that a supplier may no longer sell goods “as they are”, unless the consumer has been informed of the defects and accepts them. A copy of the CPA has been sent to them with a copy of the act It is now 3.5 weeks later and still no update on my unit. NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THAT IS IT LEGAL ACTION ITO CPA IS ABOUT TO BEGIN

To say I'm hurt is an understatement. I paid my last R4500 as excess for my TV insurance claim at Digital Experience on 21/06/2022. On 22/06/2022 after having enquired from Jimmy about the time of the delivery, the TV was delivered around 11:00. Because I was busy that day, my son and I started unpacking and connecting the TV around 15:00. The package was fine, and so was the TV unit. But after switching it on, there were lines on the screen. My son said, there is something wrong here. But because I knew the TV is new I was in disagreement with him. We unplugged it and tried again, and still, lines were appearing. We tried that about 4 times until it dawned on me that the TV supplied is faulty. Immediately, I called Jimmy from Digital Experience to inform him about what we were experiencing. He asked for pictures, and they were sent to him. He never came back to me until I called him on the 23rd. He again asked for more pictures, and they were immediately sent to him. He later called saying someone will come to fetch the TV, and the guys eventually did come to fetch the unit. Fast forward to today the 27th, I called again asking for feedback, and he tells me that someone from Samsung was supposed to call me because the TV broke in my possession. He said let me speak to the guy from Samsung and I will come back to you. I'm still waiting, and hurt I'm feeling that I was supplied a damaged TV and now the blame is apportioned to me. I'm deeply hurt and feel very helpless.

Before you read this review. Please note...after posting this review, one of the directors of Digital Experience contacted me. The issue was resolved very quickly. I would like to thank them for taking the effort to make it right.. Digital Experience has the worst service in their camera section I have come across in a long time. I bought an expensive Olympus camera from a surly rude assistant last year. I then went back to order some attachments which I eventually received. They promised to phone me when they arrived. They didnt. I had to go back and ask them. I later discovered that the fish eye lens I had bought needed an additional attachment which they negated to tell me. I then ordered that and they promised to phone me when it arrived. They didnt. So I phoned them and they said they did not know of any order. I went in with the camera and they said they didnt know of any order. They didnt even bother to look in the book it had been written down in. They even went as far as saying they had not receved any shipments for the camera since last October. I bought the camera in November 2022 and the fish eye lense attachment after that. So they should get their facts straight. I will never go back there for any thing

I bought a phone for my son with cover and screen protector and the lady at the check-out counter over-charged me by R2663. Luckily I discovered this whilst I will still in the store, and had the "supervisor" Colette attend to the matter... INSTEAD of refunding my card she charged an additional R2663 from my card (didn't tell me about it, only realized when SMS notification came in). Then she quietly did the refund for R5326, said she was calling the bank to get the payment reflect immediately, disappeared for more than 20mins. Only after I requested feedback from her subordinate did she then ask me to leave my number with the promise of calling back... which never happened. I then called back towards end for day, she was still full of excuses and promised to sort it out and call me back... it didn't happen!! Will now have to go back to the store physically and demand to see the manager. BUY ONLINE, DON'T BOTHER GOING TO THIS STORE!!!

I bought a Samsung 85 inch TV from here, which was the WORST decision and purchase ever!!! Unpacking the TV I noticed damage (no visible physical damage on the outside), I took it back the next day, within 24 hrs the warranty was voided. HTF, do you void a warranty within 24 hrs? They claimed negligence, and said they can’t do anything. R30K down, with no TV either, the store was throwing up their hands saying they’re not responsible, I’m still waiting for proof, the tested they claimed they did and I acknowledged and signed off. I’ll wait… They didn’t follow their processes at all, and I need it replaced or refunded. I’m now being bullied, neither The Digital Experience or Samsung are helping or taking responsibility. I won’t take this laying down, you messed with the wrong customer. To everyone here, take your money elsewhere!! *This story is far from over*

I received exceptional and incredible customer service from Dane Wilkinson at the Samsung Digital Experience store. Dane is the most authentic and truly customer-centric person. He genuinely listens to the customer needs, understands the customer's concerns, diligently researches, double checks product capabilities, offerings, advantages and disadvantages. He advises the customer with honesty, integrity and transparency. Dane is definitely an absolute asset to the entire company. Dane is undoubtedly a brand ambassador who advocates the highest standards and most leading edge world leaders in the technology space. I will definitely continue to shop with this store and stay with this brand/product simply because Dane's customer service is matches and in certain instances exceeds the superior quality and performance of this global technology giant.

I would not recommend anyone spending money here. Horrible service. 10 days ago I enquired online about a Pelican case. They confirmed they have stock. I drove through to buy it. Upon arrival they didn't have stock. Nolan the sales person took other calls and other customers while I was standing there. He said he will get an ETA on the stock they didn't have even though they said via email they do have stock. The price they advertised in store was also 10% more than what they had on their online store. A week went by, no word from them. I phoned the manager, James Gardner, yesterday and he assured me they will follow up and let me know. It's been a day and still not a peep. 10 days in total and not an ounce of service. I would feel very bad if I tell someone we have stock, they spend money to get to the shop and then nothing. Horrible.

WOW! What fantastic customer service. I had an insurance claim (Thanks ESKOM and Loadshedding). The insurance company contacted me late on Wednesday afternoon, to inform me that my claim was approved for a replacement and that The Digital Experience will contact me shortly. Within 10 minutes, Lucretia phoned me. She mailed the banking detail for my access to be paid. I mailed the POP and she arranged for my delivery to take place on Friday. There are very few companies that can proudly say they deliver superb customer service, but The Digital Experience CAN say that with pride. Thanks for your exceptional service, Lucretia. It is highly appreciated.

Great store but poor product return experience. The manager called the sales rep that sold the product to me originally and arbitrarily admonished him in front of me. Then when I challenged her for doing so she said she would not longer accept the return due to the timing of the original invoice date. Since it was a regular stock item, unopened and with the receipt this new approach seemed to be to bully me for defending the staff member. Finally a third manager was asked and he confirmed a refund should be processed. I was referred to in the third person during this experience while standing in earshot of the conversation. Unimpressed.

Well stocked store, good prices, very bad service. The service staff is a mixed bag with some who are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And some who are rude, ignorant and unhelpful. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of being helped by a gentleman called Nathaniel and that has made me not be their customer anymore. I might buy from them online but I am never returning to the store. While one customer not returning is not a big deal until you think of the life time value (LTV) of the customer. As they sell high quality white goods and electronics a customer’s LTV is high. And bad service breaks that customer relationship.

Juan Stassen - huge thank you to Juan for his excellent service. So appreciative of his service, I had a case (2 dozen) Black Label beers delivered from Bootleggers bottle store, to him as a "Thank you!", as I live in Pretoria. (Juan organised for the delivery of a 65" TV to CT, doing all the paper work, quotes for me.) Beers were delivered to Juan, but since he never ordered the beers, he sent them back! Bottle store returned them to Juan, telling him the beers were from me! His honesty, dedication to his work, speaks volumes about his character. Wonderful "Digital Experience"....!

Terrible service! Bought an Apple M1 MB Pro on 14 December the machine inexplicably died 25 March. Immediately took the machine in on 25 March for repair as I need the device for a number of projects. I left the follow up as the long weekend was nearing long weekend over Easter. After calling twice in the week of 6-8 April I was told they would call me back on the status and NEVER did. I had to phone again to see whether it was booked in ...apparently been lying around and only got booked in today 08 April. AVOID Cr-APPLE and AVOID The Digital Experience to AVOID disappointment.

You get many people who claim Black Friday is a hoax but I beg to differ. I buy tech on a constant basis and this time I was in need of one specific TV and had my eye on it for over a month. The Digital Experience was the only store to offer this TV at an awesome price of R37995 and the only other walk-in-store (Hirschs) to have this model could not lower their price of R49000. LG rep was friendly and helpful and the sales rep Lewallan (sp?) was also very kind and helpful. This store will always be my first stop for electronics, sorry Hirschs, you snooze you lose.

Wow, amazing customer service from Yaseen Nabee ! . So patient and understanding, went over and above to help the customer . Everyone in the store was welcoming and willing to help from the moment you walk in. I Would definitely recommend this store to anyone. I couldn't give a 5 star rating if this was an honest review, as there was an issue where I was overcharged on a purchase. I had to point out the issue to the sales team otherwise it would have gone unnoticed. Nevertheless this issue was resolved within a matter of minutes. In the end a happy customer

Returned some headphones today. First time I have ever returned anything over 15 years, and I was left feeling that I would have had a better experience at Makro. Let's see if they actively solve the issue. UPDATE: I have now upgraded the review to 4 stars. Received a call today, less than 24 hours, to collect a replacement set of headphones. Very chuffed with this outcome as they not a cheap set. Well recovered Digital Experience team. Next time just be a little more interested in the return process as it is going to impact your next sale.

Went in three times - to have a look at tv's. Mark Oosthuysen assisted me during my visits. He has great knowledge and knew exactly what I was looking for. I was upfront and stated I will wait on a good deal (on hearing this he maintained great professionalism and contined to take me seriously) - and on my third visit over three weeks - sealed a deal. Great store, even better salesman with in-depth knowledge. Delivery was arranged and was a done within the allocated schedule. Jock and his team were great!

They should not be allowed to use Samsung Branding. The Samsung sales agents don't even know about the products they should be selling. I knew more about the phones and features than they did and when asking about they should know they advise you to speak to Samsung repair centre's when the answer is a simple Google away but one they should know. I've usually had good experiences in this store but then again that's when I've gone in knowing what I want and haven't needed to ask questions.

I'm overly impressed and happy with your service. I ordered my mom a washing machine online yesterday Afternoon (Saturday) and immediately I was called to confirm my purchase and I was told it would be delivered today(Sunday) before 12h00. I further enquired on the warranty, and I was assisted very well and given more information than expected. The delivery man Jabu was on time and really helpful, I appreciate it. Really exciting store and someone is always present to assist you. The brand consultants are very informative and they run great specials every now and then. Their Facebook page is also very good to keep up with the latest specials. My only criticism is that they need to offer extended warranties on their appliances.. Like how do you expect to rival Hirsch's when they can match prices and offer extended warranties. Other than that, the store is great.

The Unpleasant Experience. There was a short, middle-aged white man, probably the manager, with a strange walk. He kept shouting at the rest of the staff, throwing a tantrum that lasted the entire time I was in the store (about 30 minutes.) He dealt with his anger very unprofessionally, and made the customers feel very uncomfortable. (This was on the 13th of July, late afternoon.) Will not walk into that store again if I see that man inside.

Great service all around. Thank you Bought a large LG appliance online on a Saturday morning, I needed some assistance with the measurements and features and got a call back from a very friendly gentleman who went to measure the unit, went over the specs with me as per the LG site confirming everything before I made the payment online My appliance was delivered the very next day (Sunday), the delivery guys were friendly and really helpful.

It has been a disappointing experience trying to buy a Liebherr wine fridge from Digital Experience. I sent emails to the address shown on their website and received no response. I then made contact with one of their staff on a number off Google reviews and she contacted me and gave me her email address and she hasn't responded to my email or my follow up whatsapp either.

This used to be a 5* review but then I decided to use them for repair. I was told X amount to repair my phone, accepted and told them they can go ahead and it will be done in 5-7 working days. 7 days later and I was told they haven't even received the quite to fix it. Honestly such pathetic service - I will never return this store nor will I recommend it.

My favourite audio visual shop in gauteng, wide variety of different tech and helpful staff. Some staff could be better but many great staff members. If you are looking for premium selection of amazing products at the best prices this is the place. Best is the August clearance sales as you get some incredible discounts. Get your wallet ready.

Bought a Samsung 65 inch QLED 4K TV. The Digital Experience team professionally delivered and installed the unit the next day. Unfortunately after 5 hours the unit stopped working. The following day I reported the problem to Graham, the Store Manager, and the problem, a faulty One Connect Box, was replaced the same day. Excellent service!!

Excellent store and very well stocked. The service is great and the assistants are experts and very knowledgeable. I have one major gripe which is reason enough to give them less than 4 stars - the camera accessories are exorbitantly overpriced. SD cards and lens filters are 40% more than other stores. Shocking!! BEWARE.

Terrible service. I was sold a wall mount which was incompatible with the tv i bought at the same time. Digital experience staff advised me to buy the wall mount. Trying to get this rectified was a horrible experience. Dont expect after sale service here regardless of whether the product you buy functions or not.

Very poor customer service. Insurance claim made to pay excess before they deal with you. Then make you wait for 3 weeks for item to be told that sorry already sold your device will have to reorder and not even a sorry when you finally pick up the item. Just a please sign here. Very poor.

Sales personal will treat you like gold up until your cash is in the till and they have made their commission - forget any kind of aftersales service or support once they have your bucks - once in the till you will very very quickly be treated like a second rate citizen.

Decent range of products, and very friendly helpful staff. Pricing is average.... maybe more expensive than the online retailers, but on par with the physical ones. Would have given 5 stars if the cashier was a bit friendlier... not a pleasant check out experience.
