I was visiting Dallas for a concert at House of Blues. So I wanted to find a place nearby to eat. Unfortunately, the street parking infront of the cookhouse, I think is 9am-4pm. I got there around 5:30pm. I'm not familiar with Dallas and parking. Luckily I had a parking pass for House of Blues and it was just a 6 min walk to the Cookhouse. I got 2 empanadas with salsa Verde, sweet tea, and sweet plantains. Pork Al Pastor and Beef & Potato. They were freshly cooked and so delicious. My boyfriend came with me and even asked for an extra order of plantains, they were so good. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Loved all the sitting options. The people who were working, were so kind. We didn't realize they closed at 6 at around 5 mins after we asked what time they closed. They didn't say anything because they wanted us to enjoy our food. I would've totally gotten out before. Surprised they weren't packed with their customer service and food. Will definitely come back every time I visit Dallas!

I gotta give @theempanadacookhouse a quick shout out because I recently visited Dallas TX and this place is still on my mind!!! I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this... they have one of the best flavored empanadas, tequeños along with their SALSA BLANCA RANCH, which is a combination of ranch, cilantro and honey. Let me tell you, it is GOLD!! This explains why they handed me the food with a smile on their face... they knew what was about to happen Maybe one day if we behave with our food and get lucky, they'll think about opening one up in GA?? The food is amazing! It was prepared fast. The staff is polite. The music is relaxing and the dining area is colorful and bright. The roasted veggie empanada was my favorite. It's creamy and spicy, and the corn is sweet! 6/5! I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I was looking for traditional Argentinian empanadas. I found this place which has good empanadas but are not the traditional Argentinian taste, however I must say their chimichurri is VERY good. Also the customer service is great. My son and I had a little issue understanding the displayed prices. After we got our order the owner came to introduced himself and answer our questions. Also he made sure we were satisfied with our experience. *The location* is super cozy, clean and with enough space for confortable sitting about 25 people aprox. They have many empanadas flavors and the order come out pretty fast.

Delicious place to take a break around museums and the west end area. They have different flavors. Beef potatoes was my favorite, o also try pastor. The AGUA DE JAMAICA is amazing. Ah the salsa verde is gorgeous. The place is nice, great ambience, with colorful details. Make sure you read well the menu, they have hidden gems like little TEQUEÑOS (I found out after I ate, reading the reviews ). And I order again. The bath is clean, and you need a code to get in. Some tables are close to plugs if you need to charge your phone.

Restaurant located just two blocks away from the West End station. The place is new and is simply decorated with bright colors. Several indoor tables, outdoor seating is not available. Portions are fairly small so my recommendation is to order at least 3 empanadas per adult. The restaurant should probably use nicer packaging materials for dine in, perhaps washable metal trays.

Family packs of empanadas! This was perfect for our cousins picnic in the park. These empanadas were delicious. I tried the Beef and Potato with all of these sauces and would have them all again. I also tried the fajita chicken and it was probably my second favorite. The spinach and mushroom was not as good as it could have been but still a solid veggie option. The steak was also a favorite with all the sauces. I really enjoyed these and will be back for more.

Beef Chimichurri & Beef and Potatoe Empanadas were great. Pork al Pastor was mediocre at best. For al Pastor it just wasn’t very flavorful. Chimichurri and verde sauces were really good. Roja salsa also was just mediocre. The cheesecake empanada was pretty good but very sweet. Overall I’d give this place between a 4.0-4.5. Would definitely recommed and will make a return visit.

Great place for a quick bite to eat on the west side of downtown. Nice flakey crust and tasty fillings. Meat empanadas have cheese also. I haven’t had that before but ot was good. Cilantro rice also delicious and the Jamaica had a nice spice added. Fast service. Street parking was easy. I’ll be back.

Wonderful service Had the beef empanadas Chimichurri with ground beef, bell peppers and pepper jack cheese The empanadas truly tasted amazing!!!! I wish this was closer to home. Walking distance of aquarium. Clean facilities as well as their restrooms. Will definitely be visiting again.

Cute and small establishment. Very friendly and helpful service. I had #40, the spinach and mushroom empanadas, which were perfect with the green salsa. My boyfriend had the chicken fajita ones. He liked it, but I didn't (not my thing). The Latin drinks were yummy, but we both preferred the Rose one over the mango one. The rise was good too.

We got the 2 Empanada Meal which included 2 Empanadas, 1 Side, and 1 Sauce. I opted for the Beef and Potato and an Al Pastor Empanada with a side of Chimichurri Sauce and Plantains. It was delicious. Not a heavy lunch but satisfying. I really loved the Empanada crust and the filling was delicious. The chimichurri sauce was flavorful and creamy. They have so many flavors you'll have no problem finding one you'll like.

Nice place with lots of flavors and even sweet empanadas. A bit overpriced though.

A hidden gem! Best empanadas I’ve had in a long time. Vibrant interior with relatively little seating—seems more like a grab and go place. Good prices. Tried a chicken and beef empanada, it was a tasty choice. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious. Get the mini tequenos for your side. You will NOT regret it. I got the pulled pork and buffalo chicken empandas and they were amazing. I also tried the plantains and they're also very good. It's so nice to see a place that doesn't just use the sides as a throw away.

What a great stop. Nice variety of freshly made empanadas. They’re stuffed full with a lighter crust so they go down easy and are satisfying. The el pastor is my favorite! The mini tequenos. The salas are all excellent but the chimichurri is primo. Don’t sleep on it!

The place was awesome love the manager and the staff the empanadas were ok to be honest but the plantains were just awful. We will try it again another time
