Update- Please see the owner's response below. I have a lot of respect for companies that will correct their mistakes and try to make up for a less than stellar experience. Thank you. Just so-so. I went in for a make-up consultation for $25 for 45 minutes. I thought that this would be an analysis of what colors I should use and make-up application tips. It turned out to be the sales girl just pointing to the makeup they had and explaining what it was. So I said that I was looking for colors and application tips and the girl said great. So she did my face, and I liked my eyes, but she spent very little time choosing colors (in her defense, they didn't have much of a selection to choose from), and very obviously did not choose the right cheek/lip colors. I asked to buy a couple of things and went to check out. It had taken about 30 minutes. They charged me for the $25 consultation, and then they charged me $75 for the application. I understand needing to charge for the makeup used, but I wish she would have told me first. I also don't like that they charged me for both the consultation and the application, since it very clearly did not use the amount of appointment time. Then, without asking me, they included and charged me for a powder carrier. They really need to work on their communication.

This was my first time getting my brows done since I've moved back to Kansas City. I was so used to just going to my threading lady at my local mall back in Springfield, she charged me $11 and always did them perfectly, without me telling her anything. She was the sweetest and I loved coming back to her every month. This was definitely NOT the case at Brow Bar, and was not worth the $45. I went in for a thread + tint after months of not going anywhere because of the pandemic. It did not seem like my esthetician knew what she was doing when I asked her for threading. She did a quick little clean with no shape and it just seemed like she was so ready for me to get out of her station. After the threading, when she saw that I was still laying there, she asked, "Anything else?" I said, "Yes, my eyebrow tint." "Oh yeah, have you ever done that before?" Idk, it really just seemed like she was looking down on me, not sure why. But I was very unhappy with my experience and not very pleased with my brows either, which for $45 + 20% tip, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm about to drive to Springfield to have my sweet, young Indian threader do them over again before my photo shoot this weekend.

I gave my experience at the Brow Bar two stars because I left with uneven eyebrows and still had to shape them up when I came home because their were still several out of the line of my eyebrow. The front desk staff was wonderful and inviting but when I got called back to be waxed, the esthetician thought I had scheduled a facial wax and was surprised to hear I “only wanted my eyebrows done”. I had apologized if I had scheduled something wrong, as this was my first time at this business. She only used maybe 4 strips to wax and knicked my skin twice with the tweezers. She did apologize and I told her it was not a big deal. I felt rushed and like I had paid way more for the quality of service I received. I just recently moved to KC and was very excited to get my eyebrows done for a wedding the next day and was super bummed when I left. I think this business has great potential but would have appreciated a higher quality service for the price!

I absolutely loved Nicole and Tammy at the Brow Bar!! I was looking for help in fixing my brows I had bladed elsewhere 7 months ago ( I had overplucked, very thin, very sparse brows with that 90s hook shape) ... I was pretty disappointed in that blading result. Since Tammy is someone I trust and have known for a long time, I knew I would be in good hands. We chatted a bit before my appointment, she answered all my questions, and I felt confident they could help me. I was so thrilled to hear that!! I was even MORE thrilled with the results. My brows are finally just right!! The color is so much more natural, the shape is perfect, and the detail and texture of my brows looks amazing. SO- if you're considering blading...you should talk to my girls at Brow Bar because credentials matter y'all!!!! And these girls got em!! I'm a fan for LIFE. Thank you SO much for my brows!

I had a facial and it was amazing, I literally almost fell asleep on the table. So relaxing and nice. My skin was very smooth and felt great. The only drawbacks are that there was a lot of foot traffic and the noise level from just outside the door was very noticeable. Not a deal breaker; there’s a retail store in the front so a room close to the front is subject to the noise. Lastly, my attendant (3:10 pm on Dec 18th) was silent the entire time. Good for me, it was a nice relaxing mood. However, there was no aftercare offered. No assessment of my skin, no recommendations, no feedback on what to do, what not to do. No idea on what products they offer, NOTHING? That was a bit disappointing.

I have enjoyed many facials with Angie at The Grove Spa. It's always a relaxing experience and my skin feels amazing afterward. I've been super pleased with my brow tinting and waxing, as well. Angie is knowledgeable about skin care and all the services available when I've asked, and without any pressure or "sales pitch". My skin definitely looks and feels better after following Angie's skin care recommendations. The quality and effectiveness of the products I've purchased at The Grove have all been wonderful. I am generally a minimalist when it comes to indulging in facials and spa services. After a few facials, I'm hooked!

Went as a first time client for a lip flip, such a beautiful and relaxing office with amazing customer service. Was treated by Kyleigh (@kissable_by_kyleigh on IG to see her work) who was so wonderful she was quick and knowledgeable I hardly felt a thing. The results have wowed me I will definitely be back soon for other services. The store front also sells amazing make up and beauty products which was a pleasant surprise! High quality brands that are my new go to. You can tell the staff really cares when it comes to clients have providing a great experience.

I had a great experience with microblading with Nicole. She was very gentle and took great care to get my brows just right. The look so natural and I just wake up every morning with perfect looking eyebrows - no need to get out the brow pencil! She was careful to get the area completely numb before starting and I felt absolutely no pain at all; in fact, I almost fell asleep. It's a week later and I'm still completely happy with them. You can't go wrong with Nicole at BrowBar!

I have been getting facials here since I moved to the area in April. I absolutely love Paige she does an amazing job every time. I usually don’t get facial but got one as a special treat for my birthday and have come back every month since. My skin has never looked or felt so soft and smooth. She is very good at explaining what she is about to do and making her clients feel comfortable. There isn’t enough good things to say about Paige and the services she provides.

Got brow lamination and lash lift and tint. Brow lamination was amazing, 100% recommend. However I can get my lash lift and tint done better at Chic beauty with Heather for less money. My lashes aren’t as dark and not as curled as when I went to Chic beauty. After I went here, my lashes are going different directions and some of them aren’t really curled. Not worth the extra money. Will go back for the brow lamination but not the lash lift and tint

I loved my experience at Brow bar with Nicole. I came in for a lip blush consultation and she answered my questions and explained the process with great knowledge and patience asking in-depth questions to be sure we were on the same page with my desires. I just completed the follow-up treatment and am thrilled with the gorgeous results. I will be back to get the lash enhancement I am so happy I found this place!! ❤️❤️

The Grove Spa has been absolutely phenomenal while working with our brides! I went to get my eyebrows microbladed and am in love! Nicole is so sweet and patient and really takes her time to give you what you want. I kept apologizing because I went there not knowing exactly what I wanted and she kept telling me not to apologize because I am the one living with the microblading outcome. Just so nice. I can't wait to go back for my touch up. Oh, and virtually painless.

I tried out brow tinting here thanks to Daisy who works at the front desk. I’m hooked! I’ve even given lash tinting a go because of the great info, creativity , enthusiasm and encouragement as well as a no -aggro style of suggestions from Jennifer, my usual esthetician. Very happy with the attention to detail and the value in spite of my routine low end priced services. Love this place!

This spa is PERFECT! It’s an actual spa- not focused on the latest laser treatments to pressure-sell you on. They have top of the line products, but still deliver relaxing, invigorating, or enhancing facials. The boutique is so cute too! Great gift ideas for friends or a little something for yourself. Could not recommend this place enough! Staff is incredibly friendly and professional.

Nicole was awesome! I just had my 6 week touch up appointment, and I was blown away by the final results. I did a combo of microblading and shading. My brows look both natural and ready to go 24/7. Nicole listened to what I wanted and also used her knowledge to help make my brow shape fit my face. Brow bar’s new location is chic and clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

I started going to The Grove Spa earlier this year and refuse to go anywhere else! Madison works her magic every time with any areas of concern or blemishes I may have and always has the best product recommendations. All of the staff here is super friendly and the environment of the spa is so cozy and relaxing! I can't wait for my next appointment :)

I came for the first time yesterday for a brow wax with Madison. The atmosphere of the spa was great and the staff was super friendly! Madison did a great job explaining each step and making sure I left happy with the results. She took her time and I felt comfortable throughout the appointment. The space is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. I had a "brow mini makeover." My esthetician, Else, was on time - though I was a few minutes late, and no one made a fuss. She had a great personality and knew her stuff! I'm definitely going back. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Don't let the name fool you - they do a lot more than brows! I had a facial with Angie today. It had been way too long since I had seen her last. The facial was amazing! The products were high quality and my skin feels so soft and rejuvenated. I am looking forward to my next appointment. The new space is full of light and very welcoming.

I had my eyebrows laminated and tinted for the first time and am a huge fan. Elsa was ready for me when I arrived a little early and was very friendly. She walked me through the steps as she went and provided detail post care instructions. The spa was clean and comfortable. I had such a positive experience and am happy with the results.

I love coming to The Grove, everyone is very friendly and helpful. It is clean, cozy, and relaxing when you enter. Their boutique area has quality products and great gifts too! My first time attending The Grove Spa was this past weekend for their Lip Flip event. The space was very clean and cute. Katie greeted me and escorted me back to Emilee who was knowledgeable and professional. All staff was so friendly and welcoming. This was my first experience getting a facial. I did the ESPA Inner Beauty with dermaplane added. Paige did an incredible job. She created a relaxing environment and communicated what to expect and recommended a product to help alleviate my skin concerns. Highly recommend and already looking forward to my next facial!

The Grove spa is wonderful! I’ve been there 3 times now and it is beautiful inside. I get facials from Madison every month and she is amazing. She is thorough, educated, and so sweet! She uses the perfect amount of pressure and the best massage techniques for a super relaxing treatment.

Very nice environment, friendly staff, good selection of beauty products if you want to shop, and my brows look great. This was the first time I had my eyebrows tinted. Elsa started with a light treatment and was happy to oblige when I wanted to go a little bit darker. I will be back.

I have been on the hunt for a spot where I can get my eye brows waxed and tinted for a fair price and I am so happy I came across Brow Bar. Its a beautiful spa with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I walked away happy with my results and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Eva Kearney was amazing, I had my second lash lift and brow tint! Lash lift is a great alternative for those us that have a lot of lashes but want a curled effect without mascara and curling. I Love the Brow Bar, all the staff is very friendly and shop is soooo cute.
