Awful place I have never been to Cheam or the Harrow pub before, I arrived and paid for the pay and display car park behind the pub, to meet some friends for a ladies 60 birthday. I had a Diet Coke then went for a meal across the road I drank Diet Coke and water as had to get back to Kent to find at 2308 they had locked the barrier and I could not get out. The Pub still heaving I asked for some help which three of them refused to let me out, told me the manager had locked the gate and gone home with the keys and would not be back until 10 the next morning. Seriously,,.. he went home at 11, a heaving Saturday night and left the proud deputy manager to manage- I don’t think so. The DM told me tough’, basically I should have read the sign and nothing they ‘could’ do or they would have their licence revoked!! ( I had not seen a sign, I wasn’t looking for a sign, why would you when I had just paid for a full ticket, and me not being there before I had no knowledge of this POLICY and why would a pay and display car park that takes your money behind a private pub then normally lock you in) It was ridiculous. I asked for the rational and the logic and was told it is to stop drunk drivers… I told them I was a grown up woman who has drank Diet Coke and water all night and besides what about those that can leave the car part at 2255 versus 2305. We argued the case they didn’t seem to understand I had nowhere to go I was not local they were quite happy for a 60 year old single women to sit in their pitch black car park all night, no mention of duty of care, health and safety let alone someone being held against their will, he just shrugged it off and clearly had no concern about me at all. I was then told I had a bad attitude!!!! ( to which they seriously had not seen it yet) so they were now the Law and the Police it was a complete joke they eventually let me go and the lock, after all that was a combination lock too - so much for the keys and manager story!! The whole thing stank and ruined our lovely evening with my friend. On my exit he shouted out ‘Next time read the sign’, so in the end it was not we can’t help it is was we won’t’ help. Awful!!!!

As a family of 4 adults and 4 teens we ordered 8 meals and drinks. 2 of us ordered Burrito Bowls and paid an extra £ 2.50 for beef to be added. When the bowl came out, we questioned if there was beef in the sauce and we were told that there was beef… these plates went back to the kitchen. When returned it looked like more “sauce” was added. We once again asked where was the beef… the male staff member literally did not entertain our question and answered us as he walking away from us in a loud tone that “yes there is beef in there.” So many issues with this entire process. Firstly orders are online done by the customer themselves. Order a drink - go to the counter or through your phone. Secondly we are requested to pay a tip BEFORE we have even experienced the service. I generally have no issue with this except when the front of house lets down the entire team. The service the staff offer is literally a delivery service. There is very little effort required from the staff themselves (pulling drinks is the exception) and yet the attitude that comes with dealing with the clients seems unnecessary in a time when having a job in this economical climate is a privilege.

Went last Sunday, myself and a friend have visited regularly and previously had good service and food. However, this time we were greeted by different; rude, staff. We were looking for a table and were told incredibly rudely to sit wherever was empty, despite every table either being occupied aside from one large table, suitable for a fairly large party, completely unnecessary for the two of us. When ordering food the service lacklustre and they seemed disengaged. Despite this, we ordered two meals and waited with our drinks. After about half an hour food started coming out for different tables but not in the order in which they had been purchased. Having waited 45 minutes I asked the bar woman where our food was, she was extremely rude and questioned me on my order saying that it hadn’t been as long as I stated (it was). Soon our food was slammed down in front of us before she stomped off to get cutlery. When we started eating, it was the clear the standards had dropped, we had both eaten this meal before and enjoyed it. The fish was undercooked and wet, it did not taste fresh. The chips tasted like they had been cooked the previous day and the peas were cold. Neither of us ate our food and we left quickly. Very disappointed.
AVOID .......DO NOT...come in here expecting a decent Sunday roast we waited over a hour in an empty pub for a boil in the bag load of rubbish I refused to eat it but my kids who were starving made do.....I would of been embarrassed to serve this rubbish.....even the waitress apologised for the food quality and said the headchef is back next week...!!!! was made to feel very uncomfortable after we complained and left......such a shame as this WAS our local....I asked for the managers name to address my points in the week but the staff refused to give it..?? *** UPDATE Hi Darren great to finally know you name, and no we didn't get a refund.? And yes it was frozen heated up rubbish as the staff confirmed this.....And I've tried to email you but your email isn't correct?
We are locals here and had pretty much given up on it. We met with friends and were reluctantly persuaded to try again as we wanted to go to a nice beer garden. I must admit we were pleasently surprised. I spoke to one of the managers Kai who was told us himself and another manager are now running the business and will be for the foreseeable and my god you can tell there is a new food menu and the food was amazing and was even presented with care. They have a huge gin menu which Kai was happy to chat to us about and even educated us on a range of new tonic flavours. All in all it’s a completely new place and we would recommend to anyone. I was asked to leave a review but this is fully deserved!
Visited the Harrow for Mother’s Day for a Sunday roast the service was fantastic and the food was amazing . Excellent work from the busy staff in the kitchen as it was busy but all the food came out on time and it looked amazing. We had the lamb with roast potatoes seasonal veg roast parsnips mash and gravy with a side of mint sauce for the lamb and my sister had the turkey with the same but with stuffing and pigs in blankets and a side of cranberry sauce. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the mood for a roast on Sunday (might have to book a table in advance due to the popularity) 10/10
Under just eat, they are locked 'n loaded (loaded fries & chicken). I can't even bring myself to say thank you. It was horrible. Waited for over an hour and a half for the order. When trying to contact anyone, no one answered. When it arrived, the bag was ripped and overflowing. It looked like it was stuffed in there carelessly. The food was cold and a massive slop of nothing. Part of the order was missing, order 4 chicken tenders, and only got 2. Such poor service, will not be ordering from here gain, and I don't even think I will be eating in now.

I really liked this pub. We ate indoors but there is a great outdoor space. It has parking in the centre of Cheam (£2 for 3 hours which you can take off your bill). They allow dogs inside. There is a very good value lunch menu if you want burgers or wraps or the full menu. Spacious place, which was done up nicely. They have more TVs in a pub than I have seen before. Presumably for sports. The staff were friendly and the food was good. I would go again. The only thing to note is that if you order with their APP, you cannot take the parking off your bill.
Popped into The Harrow today for catchup lunch with friends. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was quite quiet to begin with but filled up by the time we left. I ordered 2 small plates, halloumi skewers which were fresh and delicious (and a decent sized portion for a small plate) and a Japanese chicken dish which was equally as tasty (can’t remember the name). My friends ordered some other lunch dishes including the rainbow wrap which was a popular choice and I have to say looked great. I will definitely be returning. Thanks
Visited The Harrow in Cheam (Surrey) with relative, had Scarlet chicken over fries. A well presented dish for 2 to share, with fries, cheese, sweet & sour onion, rocket, rustic tomato sauce & chicken strips. Had a pot of tea which was equally served piping hot & well presented. The lady who served me was polite & welcoming. The Harrow has parking at the rear if go by car & is near a well served bus route. It has open areas for big groups & many booths for quiet, smaller groups as well as an open fire. Very clean & pleasant venue.
Exceptionally poor commerce exercised here. I made a reservation for sport tonight which was confirmed and my deposit taken. With two hours notice, my booking was cancelled with no explanation. When I enquired, I was told they took my booking by mistake and couldn't even give me a table reserved for walk-ins as a show of good faith for the mistake. I understand mistakes happen, but the cowardly act of cancelling without explanation and unwillingness to do right is a big issue. It's not difficult, it's a pub booking.
Really enjoyed my visit. Don't come here looking for peace and quiet as there are TV screens blasting out noise (Rugby World Cup when I was there) everywhere. But I did find a peaceful haven outside in the summer houses in the garden... much appreciated. And they're heated if necessary. Service was great and wide choice of beers and lagers. Craft beers on tap. Didn't try the food. Subject to the caveat about the TV screens, worth a visit.

We went as a group of 9, half of the menu was not available and no apology made when trying to order. Food came out in three batches, with an hour between first and third. Food was awful, frozen food reheated at best. Staff were very rude and told our 17 year old daughter she had to leave the pub at 7 as she was under 18, she had finished her food but we were waiting for ours still. She was told to leave twice by different members of staff. We will not be returning ever!
This place has a decent selection of beers, and a large array of screens for sport and decent outside seating. But please, please, don’t order food here. It is, at no exaggeration, one of the worst places I’ve eaten. It’s microved good at a cost of freshly cooked food. Could pass it off as well priced if done in their 2for1 deal (works out about £5 each) but even that’s a stretch. Pick up a microwave meal from Asda for a similar culinary experience.
Terrible service at the bar on an a Saturday afternoon. Waited for 5 mins and waited my turn to be served and after another few mins I was ignored even though there was 3 people behind the bar. Finally I was the only person at the bar and was still ignored. I asked for a beer and was still ignored. Then a guy wandered over and got served straight away. Locals pub or They don't like metal guys to spend their hard earned cash.
My brothers and sisters visited at lunchtime on 8th February. We found a very welcoming atmosphere, and were very well looked after by Aaron who was especially courteous. The beer was excellent, the service prompt, and the food very good value. The only downside was the all-zone music, that said, without question, the Manager turned down the speaker that was directly above our table. We will certainly visit again
Very rude door staff, they treat you like animals, which is very out of character for a pub in cheam village. The drinks here are also ridiculously overpriced at nearly £7 for a non premium lager. The bar staff however are excellent, very friendly and were working so hard during a busy evening shift. Shame about the thugs on the door.

What time is brunch? I thought it was 11 ish, but pub did not open till midday. Menue far to confusing and frustrating.... The only brunch items were on a bottomless all you could drink Menue. Didn't wanna get drunk just wanted a late breakfast. However ordered a beef burger and fries and it was delicous. The bar tender who let us in at mid day was rude when we questioned him regarding the brunch issue.
Amazing bottomless brunch, friendly service, delicious food & plenty of alcohol, with a vast range of choice. One of the best bottomless brunches I have been to. All of the bar staff were very accommodating, but in particular Courtney who looked after us extremely well. Will definitely be returning & recommending.

Today we visited for lunch around 2pm with groups of mums and kids,we ordered wraps and some side dishes,I must say it was the most delicious, and the presentation was so good,we were that happy that we ask the name of chef,And want to say big Thank you to Mr TJ, who cooked our food so nicely!!! we also ordered desert, and that presentation was fab, deserve more then 5start 100% recommend this place.
Great pub! Excellent value for money. Quirky garden with heated beach huts. Service was amazing even with a big party in. Food was hot and tasty with lots of variety. Log fires in the Winter too. Lots of different food and drink deals. You pay £2 for parking but get it refunded at the bar. LOVE the help yourself to a blanket idea for when you are chilly in the garden. Highly recommend a visit.
I’m not a fan of chain owned pubs, I find they lack quality goods, atmosphere and friendly staff...but damn was I wrong when visiting this place! Great selection of drinks, a buzzing atmosphere and the friendliest manager (I think he said his name was Anthony?) I’ve ever met. I will definitely be coming back again! My only criticism is they don’t except bitcoin, but all in good time.
Have been drinking in The Harrow for years but since new staff and doorman have taken over it’s changed for the worst! They are extremely rude and unhelpful. Never get as much as a smile. Such a shame as it’s a great pub that was always buzzing with a great atmosphere. I’m hoping things will change soon as I don’t think I’m the only one that has noticed and may have to find a new place to go.
Great selection of craft beers. Tried a new one called BIGMOUTH thansk to darren and it was fantastic. Will be returning again real soon

Visited on Friday 24th for a retirement drink and have to agree with a previous post. Nice pub but the music was ludicrously loud for the size of the pub. I may be a bit older but it was Impossible for anyone of any age to hold a conversation. Whats the point! Its not a club, its a pub! Also, although the keg beer was ok, not even a single cask ale on. Really disappointing evening.
Went for some food and to watch the football and all tables were reserved waited an hour for a table then went to order food. Got our starter them went to order a main and was told they were now not serving as were too busy. The pub was not busy at all and hardly anyone was eating. Absolute joke of a place make you wait to get a seat and eat and then tell you they can't serve food.
Great pub with a nice atmosphere and lots of TVs to watch various sports on, depending on the day. There's a pool table and a decent variety of beer, mostly tap. The prices are vert reasonable and the food was great with solid portion sizes - definitely full by the end of lunch! Will be returning!

Good staff, nice pub grub, good selection of spirits, craft and standard beers. Only one draw back on a Friday was the super loud disco, or rather the punters it brought in. A couple of men in particular would not take no for an answer and one grabbed my wrist when I didn't want to dance with him. I told the staff and they dealt with it promptly, which was really appreciated ❤️
This is my favorite pub in England so far. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent pricing and beautiful decor. It is a Mecca for sports fans as they boast bookable booths for 4-6 with private screens, inside and outside, and have strategically placed big screens around so you never miss the action. I wish there were a 6th star, that's how great I think this pub is!
What a great pub! I reserved an area in The Harrow after my husband’s funeral and the staff were so helpful making sure arrangements were set out according to my requests. Killian, Darren, Matt and Jay were extremely sensitive and went out of their way to ensure everything went to plan. The food was amazing and the service outstanding. I would definitely recommend.
Just been updated, and works really well. More open, lighter, and tiled. About 8 craft ales on, 5 casks, and 4 lagers. Staff, were very friendly and welcoming. Didn't try food, but table next to us did, and they seemed delighted. Good to see this pub, back to where it should be, after a run with a very bad landlord. To sound like a teacher, "keep up the good work"
Visited today and have to say, the refurbishment is beautiful and the staff seem more helpful than ever. Lovely guy behind the bar was helpful, polite and professional. Was on his break when we arrived and even gave my toddler nephew the rest of his pizza that he'd been eyeing up. Really makes a difference to have great staff in a nice local pub. Good job guys!
Recently moved into the area so naturally me and the family thought we would test out our new local. Safe to say we will become regulars. Killian and the team made sure all our needs where met and more. Especially killian who set up board games for my 3 year old son. Will definitely be coming in more often Especially since we are a 2 minute walk away.
Terrible arrived at 7.20 with family and 10week old baby . Told you have to leave by 8 with a child. Before we had ordered a drink! Not sure a baby would cause much trouble. However when we left there were children playing outside in your garden they wernt asked to leave! Never been before won't be coming back! Need to sort your staffs attitude.
Never been here before. Barmaid very brusce, not friendly at all. Gin and tonic and a pint of bitter £9.95!!!! West End prices and more. The beer was cloudy and I took it back. I was told nothing wrong with it as the barrel has just been changed. Reluctantly gave me a different beer. Safe to say won't be coming back here again anytime soon.
The food appears to be pre prepared and overpriced for what you actually receive. It has undergone a relatively large refurb and shifted to a gastronomic pub, that it isn’t. A bit like a Weatherspoons but more expensive. Needs a good landlord on site.

Came in today at lunchtime and received great service even though it was quite busy. we are new to the area so this was a pleasant find for us. The food was delicious and we are loving the gin collector cards, there is a large beer garden with plenty of tables and huts which are very cosy and the staff are really bubbly and friendly
Great service and nice atmosphere. The pub itself is big with a reasonably sized outside area too, including booths/sheds which are heated! Good drink selection and a parking area. The food was decent, but we felt a little pricey for what we had.

The prices were definitely London prices and it was very noisy. However, the place was well decorated and the overall drink selection was good. I had a standard gin and tonic, it was good; my friend had a gin cocktail and really liked it; and the other had a glass of white wine. Nonetheless we only decided to stay for one drink.
I would like to Thank Darren and his team Jamie, Brodie,Vergin,Courtney & Charlie for the Memorable afternoon we had for our Mothers wake. The Irish stew was delicious the buffet food was amazing. The staff worked so hard to accommodate our family and make them all feel so welcome. It was a day as a family we will never forget.

My new local having recently moved to the area friendly staff with Jamie and Lottie both looking after me when I visit. Another great night, the staff looked after me as usual, friendly, polite. Great selection of drinks and food. Tony the manager is all about customer satisfaction and the team follow his lead. My new local
Poor booking system. Whilst we used to enjoy visiting here we have booked two tables online recently only to receive calls on both occasions telling us the booking has been cancelled because the table actually isn't available. Won't be bothering again when there are other local and more reliable pubs in the Cheam.
The pub is well furbished with plenty of seating laid out for dining. We were disappointed to find that they were not taking lunchtime food orders until 1.30pm! The bar staff did apologise saying there was a meeting in the kitchen? It would have been better if they had informed us before we bought our drinks!
Has improved after previous changes of management. A nice space with sofas and dining area. Solid standard pub food with a decent range on the menu. Events like poker night, quiz night and sports on the televisions. Service usually fairly friendly and prompt. Patio with huts out back popular in the sunshine.
This place is good if you just want drinks, order food at your own risk!! Not saying the food is terrible its actually not bad but the service is so slow you will be lucky to get your food the same day!! When it does come out you may find you finish yours before your partners meal even makes an aperance...
Popped in to grab a bite to eat and was unsure of what to get, when a staff member called Jay walked past and suggested to get the loaded roast potato's, amazing suggestion, tasted fantastic and would definitely get again! He also promptly cleared my table after I was done, lovely service in a lovely pub.
Visited the Harrow today with friends for a birthday celebration. The buffet was delicious and the customer service excellent. Special thanks to Jamie who looked after us really well, serving every drink with a smile and good humour, something quite rare these days in the hospitality industry.
Nice pub staff are nice. All good unless you want food! Hour and a half wait then they gave my food to the wrong person. Did refund me for drinks and said I could get a free meal next time. But I have heard a lot of people say the food takes ages. Sort that out and you will have a nice boozer!
Booked section of pub for a reunion/get together for about 30 people. We were warmly greeted and nothing was too much trouble. Member of staff with name beginning with V (can't remember his full name) was so attentive and regularly checked to ask if everything was OK. Would highly recommend.
Visited on a Friday evening, such a good vibe! The staff are amazing and excellent at cocktail making & So friendly. This was my first time in the Harrow of an evening, i’ll definitely be back! Special thanks to Luke, Jamie, Josie & Brody for making sure we had a great night …
I just want to thank Killian and Jamie for a seamless Mother’s Day experience at the Harrow. My elderly grandmother absolutely adored these two who helped her in and made her feel extra special. The service was impeccable, the food was lovely and the staff are so friendly. Must visit venue!
A very warm welcome met me, from very helpful staff. And an excellent menu, great atmosphere, and a fantastic selection of real cask ales. With a special nod to the park brewerys wonderful cask ales. Altogether a lovely place to meet, chat, eat or just relax with a lovely pint of beer
Beautiful place, prices ok, but omg why THE MUSIC SOOOOOOOO LOUD feels like a nightclub, imposible to have a conversation. Whem asked the staff to turn down the music was refused as aparently its friday night. Not recommend for friday night. Unless you want to listen to music.
We came here for Sunday roast and burger, there was a football match on , and it was extremely loud. We were placed under one of the speakers and repeatedly asked to be moved or to put the volume down, but it wasn’t possible. The Sunday roast was ok but the burger was quite dry.
This is a good local pub in the heart of the village. It had a refurb recently and had adapted well to covid restrictions; so it's fresh and up to date. Good service and safe distancing work well. Well worth a visit if you are in the village and need a pint or glad of wine.
Nice little find. Outside area is small but is quite considering it's by a main road. You do need to pay for parking but it gets reimbursed when you buy food/drink. We had a burger that was over cooked but everything else was nice. Would probably go back for a drink or two.

We celebrated my sons 18th Birthday here and I can’t thank The Harrow enough for the excellent service and lovely food. Everyone that attended commented what a lovely time they had. Will be back next year to celebrate my big birthday for sure. Thanks again.
Nicely refurbished, got rid of the old hideous carpets and manky furniture, replaced fresh through out. Good choice of draught beers, lagers and great selection of import and home produce in beers. Food very good, decent portions and tastes fresh for a pub

Great pub. Friendly staff We found it after a walk round Cheam Park. Had a few drinks and some food in the outside little summer huts. Very good covid19 precautions so felt very safe. Will definitely be coming back. So glad we found this place :)
It's was like walking back in time for the old man and I. We wanted an after meal drink and this was the closest pub available. Great beer, good shots, a dj and lots of people watching. The dj even played oldies for us wrinklies. Great evening
Such a lovely pub! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Had a good old chin wag with some of the staff there and the food was absolutely delicious. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends and we’ll be coming back regularly.

We had a bottomless brunch. The food was excellent and plentiful . Jamie, the deputy Manager was absolutely superb. He was very attentive and we did not have to wait for anything. He constantly checked that we were topped up and happy.
We had a great meal here, the staff are really friendly and efficient. Our cocktails came with a serving of flattery and banter -which was great. The atmosphere and decor of the pub are great. We will be recommending and returning.
Had a great day here last week. The staff were very happy and welcoming and accommodating. I was served by Jamie and Matthew during my visit, who were both really friendly. I recommend this place and will be visiting again soon.
In there today for a Sunday lunch. Pub is really lovely after the refurb, but staff aren't quite up to scratch on the tills and we waited for our food for a good 40 minutes. However, it was very nice when we eventually got it.

An absolutely amazing Brunch at The Harrow! Perfect way to spend a Saturday! The staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Killian, Jaimie and Josie who made our afternoon so wonderful! Will definitely be back! xx
Spontaneous brunch with my best friend and we were not disappointed! Such Attentive bar staff, we were well looked after especially by Jamie, Killian and Josie best brunch by far in the banstead/sutton area …
The staff were friendly but unfortunately the food was below average and the chef didn't know his ingredients for a young child with food allergies. They also had no hot drinks. Dog friendly was the only positive.
Quite a sizeable place with a good beer garden. Staff were lovely and supported each other well. A few tvs on various sports (including the Commonwealth games). Quite a large spacious pub. Air conditioning

Excellent food . Good service and staff friendly. A must if you like sport as it showing on all the numerous screens. Under new management I will certainly be returning for repeat visits. …
It was clean, smart, on trend, but the real ale selection was mediocre. Not really as good for ale lovers than the Green Dragon Croydon. Worth the journey if you like real ale, craft beer.

This place is really friendly. Staff are amazing and the (dj fuji) just wow. He plays songs to cater for all ages and people in the Harrow. Well worth going out on a Saturday night..
Amazing staff who care about customers. Saturday night drag karaoke!! Brilliant. Jamie was clearly motivated that the evening was a success. A great staff member to have. Well done.

Not been here since the late 70's. Good selection of craft and cask ales. Food menu available, lots of screens dotted about. Lots of people like this pub. Just not for me.
Great pub! Have always had lovely waiters take care of me with a good selection of Gin. they also have a great lunch time deal. Check out the beer garden on a sunny day!
Good drink selection but very expensive. Kicked everyone out at midnight and gave out plastic glasses for unfinished drinks. Lots of people then hanging around outside.
