DO NOT GO TO THIS RACIST STORE. Wish I could give zero stars. I visited Miami earlier this week and not only went to this Cuban clothing store Havana Collection featured in the Try Guys Cuban Miami video, but took 4 of my coworkers with me. We were three Black women one white man and one white women, and the store clerks were incredibly racist and hostile towards us. They followed us around the store as we looked at items and the clerk stood directly outside of the changing room waiting while I tried on a shirt — even though the store is small and they could see us anywhere in the store from the counter. I was incredibly hurt and disappointed to find out that a store recommended through a Try Guys video is so blatantly racist. I hope all people will see and share this review so that no one else will be subjected to the same experience we had.
Saw this store on the Try Guys video and read the reviews online, so I decided to check it out during my trip to Miami. While the clothes themselves were awesome (hence the three stars) and the man working in the store was quite nice, the woman in the store rushed us through and kept pressuring us to make a decision on what we wanted to buy. Every time we looked at something, she tried to force us to buy it. When I did make a purchase, I was quickly pushed out. To test a theory, I had the person I was with (who was white; I am black) go back to see if one of the shirts we bought came in different colors. She had a MUCH easier time as a white woman alone than I did as a black woman browsing with intent to buy. I would NOT recommend this store if you're a black person. They definitely don't want you around!
I went to try and support local business. Little white haired man told me pants were half off. I went to counter with two, then he told me it was buy one the NEXT one is half off. Unhappy, I reluctantly handed over my card. Walked out the door, changed my mind, walked back in and said I'd just like a refund instead. He says "sorry, we closed the register." When I insist, he says "The receipt says no cash returns." Even though I was asking for a credit card return. I was so disgusted, I left the items on the counter and walked out. Buyer beware.
Last week visiting La Calle 8 >>>. IF you stopped at this store dont pay to go to the upstairs they claimed is a Museum but is actually another floor with clothing and pictures like any other store, the guy was friendly but come on is not a Museum like he claims…. We were laughing so hard as we kept asking where is the museum? They do have classic cars outside in their yard which you can take pictures with must be part of the Museum Then we knew we just got played or punked at least we got a good laugh
RIPOFF!!! Shops like this give Little Havana a bad name..Charged TRIPLE the online price for a shirt and DOUBLE the MSRP! This area is struggling to revitalize and recover in a post pandemic world and need customers, but this store is the worst! I hope this post goes viral like some of my other posts have done in the past and nobody else shops here! They ripped off the MSRP from the label so they can mark up the prices like crooks!
These people are SCAMMERS. They told us it was a museum for pictures upstairs, it is not a museum it was a STORE and they charged us to go into their store. In addition to that, the workers then followed us around everywhere as if we were to steal something and screamed at us when we touched a shirt. We were just trying to look at their clothes since we had already gotten charged for it . Ridiculous!
Came in to look at the clothes and the lady kept following me around like I was gonna steal something. There is another post about racist clerks on here. They weren’t lying. Very small store no need to follow brown skinned people around. The only nice person was a the guy next door where the murals are
Best cute boutique around, great ambience, best company and guidence to have a fabulous experience and create a relaxed exquisite and why not comfy wardrobe for ur next events, and even to hang around, have to say is my BFF, ✌ …
No country for old men. As soon as we got into the shop I felt the heat. The heat of a person offended for a single question: " is there anything on sale?" $90 to $135 for a goddam shirt...yes linen shirt...whatever. The journey continues...
This was by far the highest quality clothing store that I've seen in Little Havana. The prices are really high so to afford it you gotta have some money. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They showed us around and how to put on the
I visited the store with my family and had an amazing experience! Fidel helped us find a Guayabera for my father who usually has a difficult time finding shirts his size while shopping. He was very kind and found my father the perfect
Every time we come into town before we get on our cruise we stop by and have Fidel help me pick out a shirt with a hat. I highly recommend you check this store out.
We were in the store a few weeks ago. We loved his assortment and the staff were very friendly. I wish your products were online so I could buy more!
Beautiful little store and extremely pleasant owners. Me my husband had to purchase from there being that he loves his guajavera shirts lol.
the most amazing shop in little havana for cuban clothing, authentic clothes and excellent products and memories from …
Amazing place being also a kind of a living museum, with lots of Cuba-related artifacts and four huge display cars.
Wonderful store with cool Florida style clothes and helpful staff. Unique historical memorabilia in the store.
Go see Fidel for the best in tropical wear. Guayaberas, linen shirts & trousers, fedora hats... Pay a visit.
Nice shop and gentlemen working there very nice. However prices a bit high for shirts made in China.
Amazing service and fantastic quality, next time I am in Miami I will definitely come here again.
