Always enjoy The Highway - it has a casual vibe and the staff are always friendly and happy to change what they can for dietary requirements. My friend and I usually sit in the bar or in the outside area - but decided to sit in the restaurant in this occasion as it was quieter . We were offered sparkling or still water as we sat down - and I decided to order a Boston Sour ( which is a whiskey sour with shaken egg white and Angostura bitters ) . They used a bourbon called Buffalo Trace , which had a lovely smoky flavour like a Southern BBQ- definitely recommend this if you like a good bourbon . My friend and I ordered the fried haloumi with lime aioli and za’atar ( which is a Middle Eastern herb/spice mix with toasted sesame seeds ) and served with a lemon wedge . The haloumi was lovely, fresh and crisp - you could hear the crunch when you bit into it . For mains we both had the King Henry pork cutlet with whipped feta, puréed spinach and lemon and oregano potatoes. The pork was well cooked and flavourful and I loved the whipped feta - it’s a pity that there wasn’t more of it as it paired really well with the potatoes. Wasn’t sure about the spinach purée , it was only a smear and there was no flavour , but that the only complaint that I had and I thought the bourbon cocktail was so good that it made up for any shortcomings . Staff were attentive and friendly and it was , as usual , a relaxing enjoyable place to sit back and have a meal .

Enjoyable lunch with excellent Table Service from friendly and helpful staff..It was a pleasure to be waited on, as soon as we arrived, shown to our table as soon as we arrived and were not required to leave our seats for the duration of the 4 course meal..A very pleasant change from the usual experience when attending similar venues. Food and wine on tap (another winning experience), that makes this venue a cut above the rest, was of high standard. Multiple Inside and outside dining and entertainment areas here, all of of a high quality standard. The HWY is a winner all-round AGAIN..

I can thoroughly recommend The HWY not only for a great place to go for a drink, meal or entertainment but I had my 70th birthday in one of their function rooms... what a brilliant night was had.. perfectly set up to the theme I requested right down to the smallest details. The function manager Lihn is amazing and excels in her role... The food and beverage suggestions were perfect and well received. Thank you so much to the all staff who made my celebration one to remember..I definitely recommend this venue for any occasion.

Couldn't fault the staff. The person serving our table took our orders without writing them down! And got them all right! Unfortunately, the chicken schnitzel I ordered was dry - only the pepper gravy saved it. The salad in the tiny bowl was a bit ho hum. The only reason we would go back there would be to eat with our friends who enjoyed their meals. One had the beef Thai salad and said it was delicious and another had the roast and said it was great.

Largess and diversity. There are so many parts to the whole that you may never ever step into another part. Once inside, you completely forget the busy Anzac Hwy outside. There is a sports bar where you can place bets and watch lots of TVs. There's a beautiful leafy outdoor garden. Inside the dining room, there is a lovely bar. If you're bored or finished with all that, you can play pokies. The lunch experience was good and quite busy. The tables are plenty, and the atmosphere is good. I describe the food from the kitchen as honest and good.

Didn't stay, didn't have a kid friendly menu. Maybe we will try there when we don't have the kids so we can rate the food properly. Didn't stay to rate it properly overall. Only putting a review of people who are thinking of taking their kids here, was not a planned visit. People there looked to be enjoying themselves and were being served quickly with their orders.

We didn't make a booking as we were there from when they opened for dinner service at 5.30pm. We quickly came to realise how busy they get and that we maybe should have booked. They gladly said they did have a table for us which we were relieved. The service was quick and friendly. The food came out very quickly and the food tasted amazing. We were very happy with dining in here and would come here again for sure. Would definitely recommend if holidaying in Adelaide.

I celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday last night where we had quite a large group of people for the dinner. The staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly the entire time. The service was great, and they came around regularly to check on people’s food and if we needed more drinks. Will definitely be recommending this spot and will come back in the future!

A few bogans and a bit too much focus on the pokies. Large indoor areas. Very clean. Was a bit frustrated by the people smoking (hiding cigarettes) in the outdoor eating area. The staff were quite aware but did not approach them. Otherwise friendly and quite pleasant with very nice food and a good range of wine.

It’s really a stunning place for hosting the event or functions. The food and place is amazing, it’s located in the south of cbd but it’s very close to the city as well. A room can host estimate 300 people for one function, also the casino next to the function room. If you want to find a place to host event, it should be a place for you.

for $27 i would have hoped for better. i ordered a chicken parmy. what i received was a frozen, soft and soggy sheet of chicken with some crusty ham and runny topping. extremely dissapointing, a chicken parmigiana is not that hard to make. every other pub/restaurant serves these double the size and actually half decent. Stumbled across this gem of a place for lunch today, the staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough to make us feel special nothing was too much trouble and the bonus is that the meals were great. It’s a Shame we don’t live in Adelaide or we would definitely be regulars

This place is so up them selves it’s not funny, first as a pub thought tshirt and shorts would be fine, but no apparently it’s Buckingham palace and we need to look like we’re at a the White House. Native creative menu 15/6/19. WOW!!!! Great food, well balanced. Service was brilliant. Very busy lunch service with 3 big tables but the staff handled it so well. Lovely quality produce, perfectly prepared and showcased our lovely native produce. Get there if you can (ends 26/6/19).

The dining room was very busy and loud, we ordered through the QR code on our table, which was good as we didn't have to line up to order. The food came out quick surprisingly for how busy it was, but the food was average and only small serves for what you pay. Would go again. More

Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and vibes. The restaurant was very swish and menu was good as was the food. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The lounge bar is a great place to chill or dance the night away with live band playing great music.
