"everything was good on this location, I guess most likely because I always use the self checkout, this last time they take a while to help me out and one lady was giving me an attitude because she was talking and talking and I was standing there, until I told her if she can do something, then I already had some stuff in the HD plastic bags that I forgot and was at the end of the day, I call next day and they just hang up on me after told they going to check if someone found it, call one more time and same thing, I believe the lady grab the bag and take ir, and that's way they just hang up"
"Terrific experience with Daniel Saunders buying a quartz countertop today at my neighborhood Home Depot"
I stopped by the Home Depot at Fair Avenue in San Antonio, TX on 12AUG2023 between 1445 and 1525 for a single item for curbside pick up. After waiting 20 minutes , I saw an employee bring out a single item that looked like my order to the curbside pick up , however she gave it to another customer. I thought maybe they ordered something similar so I continued to wait. I figured they were super busy. After a few more minutes the same employee comes back out to pick the order up again but to get the item back from the customer she just delivered to. The other customer just looked confused in general. I finally go inside after more than 20 minutes waiting in total and asked about my order and that I’ve been waiting for a while. Come to find out, that was my order all along. I confronted the employee and asked if it shows the pick up space # and mentioned that I had put pick up space #2 as instructed on the app. She replied that it did but that she didn’t see anybody. Basically, the employee lied to my face, and I flat out told her that I’ve been there for 25+ minutes in the designated spot. Not only did she flat out lie, but she basically wasted my time. Had I known it would’ve taken this long for curbside pick up, I would have just gone inside to begin with. Mind you it’s 100+ degrees outside. That employee either doesn’t care about Home Depot’s protocols or she doesn’t know how to count to 2, either option is extremely concerning. The employee is a female employee with long black/brown curly hair working the curbside pick up counter by the main entrance. I don’t recommend ever ordering curbside pick up from this Home Depot, unless you want to gamble away your time and hope they’re quick and intelligent enough to realize who to bring the items to. H‑E‑B does a much better job at their curbside pick up and would do curbside pick up any day there. After this experience, I would never do curbside pick up at this location.
Around 830a.m. I called this store in response to a price quote. I wanted to ask if there are payment options for the installation I want. The employees transferred my call to the wrong departments several times. Then one of them said no one is available to answer my question. Around 1100a.m. I visited this store and asked to speak to a store manager. The store manager I first spoke with referred me to an employee - who kept asking the same question repeatedly, so asked if she is able to hear me. The employee snapped at me. The employee was gaslighting by accusing me of being rude for asking if she could hear me. Then the employee stormed away abandoning her duty when I said I will not argue. I asked for a store manager again, and eventually the manager provided the service I wanted. I made a complaint to this store manager. Then this store manager tried to be slick, by suggest that asking if a person is able to hear me for being asked the same question repeatedly, in a loud, bustling place like a Home Depot, could be rude. So I warned her I'd ask the corporate branch what she suggested, then she back pedaled. Many of the workers at this store are incompetent, rude, and do not actively listen to their customers. Then some of them will try to argue, or try to debate semantics about how their disrespect should be received. All else fails? They'll just storm away mad, and leave the work incomplete.
This Home Depot would be better if they had employees that really cared about what they did and were attentive to customers rather than being on their phones or acting as if they are organizing a bay. It really frustrates me when you’re in a store an associate does not direct you to where an item is or says if you don’t see it there than we don’t have it, then I ask customer service and they pull the item I’m looking for out from the back. The female who is in charge of hardware has a lot of work to do as an associate because she does not like to help people out at all. I am a frequent customer here and she always has the same attitude and that’s why I had to mention her here in this review. If you don’t like what you do please try to get another job. You have made my experience at Home Depot far from pleasant. 8/19/23 Another horrible experience waiting for a curbside order. I waited for 30+ mins only to go inside and find several people standing around claiming they didn’t realize the curbside order line is crazy. I called for a manager who did not answer the phone professionally at all. (Jose) he said he will see what’s going on. This Home Depot really needs some help! Trash service!
everything was good on this location, I guess most likely because I always use the self checkout, this last time they take a while to help me out and one lady was giving me an attitude because she was talking and talking and I was standing there, until I told her if she can do something, then I already had some stuff in the HD plastic bags that I forgot and was at the end of the day, I call next day and they just hang up on me after told they going to check if someone found it, call one more time and same thing, I believe the lady grab the bag and take ir, and that's way they just hang up. but well horrible customer service, I guess is a good time to try lowes, hope is a little better.
Terrific experience with Daniel Saunders buying a quartz countertop today at my neighborhood Home Depot. He was informative, pleasant, professional, and a long-time SA local like me. Very large selection with free samples to take home, which I did over the past few weeks. The higher-end materials (quartz, marble, granite) are the same ones I saw in the fancy showrooms on/near Nakoma. Just helped myself to samples--like taking color samples in the paint dept. Price (per square foot) plainly marked on the sample displays just as if you were buying a hammer. Price was Total...install, sales tax (none), no surprise fees. Much cheaper than I expected.
Staff is pretty helpful, unfortunately their products are the worst. I’ve WASTED 3 weekends, which if I may include I hardly have any weekends off, trying to install a defective sink. Yes, I did get another sink and a “sorry” but the 2nd sink was also DEFECTED! I mean, if Home Depot is going to sell defective products and mess up twice at least offer to install a new one for you at no cost! Or at THE LEAST take the product off the shelves if they KNOW it’s defective! I was a loyal customer to this place but I advice anyone who wants quality, go the extra dollar and purchase at Lowe’s. You’ll save yourself time, headaches and much frustration.
I go there frequently. I work on residential remodeling, new home construction and I do maintenance for local convenience stores as well. I'd say that 90% of the time I can find what I need. Service is pretty good, when the employees aren't focused on catching petty thieves. Oh and make sure you keep your receipts or else you might start being treated like your one of them. Word to the wise set up either a personal account or Pro-Extra account for free and keep up with your purchases and receipts. Management does engage with customer concerns and they are taken care of in a timely manner.
This store has a great selection of product but no one to help sell it. The sales staff is not knowledgeable of the most basic items in this store. This are pointers to. They pointers to the area of the store rather than walk you over to the product you inquire about and actually help you. This store is clean and well merchandise. The sales staff needs to be trained. I was checking out in the garden center and the cashier left for a break in the middle of the transaction. Yes up a left. " I am on break got to go clock out" and walked away.
This location is very very close to me. Convenient if you will. The only thing is that most of the time when you are looking for help you can't find it. That or the employees are so busy with other costumers that you practically have to follow them around till they are done. Not cool. If you know what it is you are looking for then no problem. Returns are fairly easy to do here. I've had to do a couple and everything went smooth. Wish they also had more checkout registers open too. 6/19/2022
Horrible staff. Went to make a return on some left over deck wood. The manager did not let me return it because he thought it was chopped in half. I told him to read measurements on the wood before accusing me of returning it like that. He saw it was purchased in half, he scanned it and got denied my money back. He was being so unprofessional and so was his girl employee. Went to the Home Depot on the one on Goliad and got my money back with no problems. Don’t come here!!!
The appliances department has really good customer service.i bought an LG refrigerator and the protection plan recommended by them. I am not happy with the protection plan they give you the run around when you call. They told me they would not send a technician to look at my fridge, instead they were going to send me step by step instructions so I could fix it myself. I'm still waiting for these instructions...
This Home Depot always has ample parking. I am almost always able to find everything I need and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I've never had any issues with this Home Depot and they usually have everything in stock! The only issue I have with this place is that the parking lot is cramped and busy. Be careful driving through because a lot of folks like to speed and it can be prone for accidents.
Closest hardware store to my studio. Everything’s in stock and I get checked out fast. Never had any issues with the place, they’re doing well. Went in for some trash cans today and they had a good selection at various price ranges, found exactly what I needed and left in no time. It’s a pretty busy place servicing the south side of town with easy parking lot access for big trailers as well.
Store is usually fully stocked. Employees are usually willing to help even if I dont know what Im looking for. Im usually building a project of some kind. They have walked around the store with me showing me items they think might work. Sometimes all employees are busy, but if you wait a bit you can usually get some help. One of the better customer service locations I've been to.
Lucky I gave 1 star if I could I would give a zero it would be better , I always been a Home Depot customer until the day came for a return that manager Amanda gave too much excuses and going around the Bushes .. Bottom line I felt I was lied scam but Home Depot on Fair Ave San Antonio Texas.. I guess I’ll change to Lowe’s … For all INF cooperate did nothing to help ..
This is my home store so it's specially great. The folks here are the best they are really eager to help. They seem to know what they are talking about. They know and understand their store even if it's not in their department. They are just a great staff Good going HR! And I think they are all better looking than the employees at other Home Depot Stores.
I went with a small dried paint chip to try and match for touch ups around the house. it was hard to get an exact match and it took a few tweaks to get it done right. The young lady at the paint desk was great! Determined to get it right, polite, professional- just a great customer service experience. I’ll be taking all my paint needs to this Home Depot
Hardware/builders stores should have more checkout clerks and less self checkout. I di not work here and I do not care for standing around waiting for a clerk to approve something. I am also very disappointed that I now have to register to get my veteran discount. I would rather go to a local owed hardware store that has good customer service.
I just want to shine the light on Jaime S. for showing excellent customer service during our purchase over the weekend. He was professional and so informative with his knowledge in appliances. Took his time explaining coverage and delivery steps. If you are looking to purchase appliances at the Fair ave location get with Jaime S. he's amazing!
Despite having most of what needed, you always have to go searching for the lumber carts. Most of them are being used for returned or misplaced items in the middle of isles. Dirtiest HD visited ever, even mexico has better organized and cleaner facilities than this. Sorry, might be in the hood but doesn't have to match the outside.
Employee seemed as if he didn't want to help me look for what I was looking for. Ended up telling me he didn't know where it was and was rushing me as I was asking questions. This home Depot always has employees that are too busy chit chatting instead of staying in their department to help customers.
This has to hands down be the absolute worst Home Depot location I have ever been. I was trying to buy a tree trimmer and literally every single employee kept telling me to wait over and over again instead of just helping me. I rather drive or go to Lowe’s then to return to this location ever again.
I love Home Depot. I am a big fan of Milwaukee products and this is where I like to get them at. I think Home depot has the best prices and they usually have whatever I need for whatever project I am doing. I have been to the store on Sunset so many times that the workers recognize me already.
What I do for work has me at Home Depot probably once a day and your a guy who likes tools it’s not a good thing lol.I must at that I feel at home at the fair ave HD the staff are very helpful and easy to question if need be stop bye sometime and tell ‘em non sent you lol just kidding.
This Home Depot … the I had to go through 3 associates before finally heading to the customer service desk for help. I was purchasing a cooler that was in stock. The associate said “I found it , but it will take me a while to get it for you” obviously not wanting to go the extra mile.
It's getting worse and worse. Soon, i will end up just going to lowes. There is no customer service here. Lowes has better prices and better customer service. And lowes doesn't remove the cover over restrooms. Here whoever is working in attic area can see you on toilet
Typical home improvement store. As expected selection here. Large parking area but I find that the large contractors trucks park mostly over by the lumber section and take it over so I park mostly around the garden area if I'm looking for a quick in/out experience.
My wife asked a youngster employee from Home Depot for help but he laughed and pointed at a rolling ladder for her to drag over to help herself! The 2 x 4 s were unsafely stacked with no safety pins and should be lower for customers. This is unsafe and unwise.
Paid to have my door measured then I went into the store to pick my door that was custom after five months. My door was still not installed. I needed to go in and get a refund. I recommend not getting anything installed through Home Depot.
Kudos to Judy in the hardware department for great customer service. I called the store to confirm inventory. Judy quickly checked stock and then set aside the tool to which I had inquired. She had it at the register ready for pickup.
I found this Home Depot in San Antonio very depressing. From the security post outside in the parking lot, all the stuff they have locked down. I know it's due to theft and for people's protection . It's still depressing..
Home Depot is great. From getting tools you need, paints, wood, plants, soil, lawnmowersk, to Christmas trees, They seem to have everything you need. Very friendly and wheelchair accessible.
One of the worst establishments I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing i would much rather travel north on 281 for the next location right near the Quarry on Sunset Blvd …
Veronica, Front Door SVC. Offered Great Undivided Attention, Here at Fair Ave. Way Better than The One on Military Dr. Some Gorda/Chappaqua wouldn't help me with my Military Discount.
Went to get top soil and had to walk to the main entrance then to garden dept. back inside store and only one lane open for check out. ,, not kwel. Running a skeleton crew!! …
I go to a lot of Home Depots, and I must say Patrick at the paint counter is very informative and helpful! He's already helped me several times. Thanks !!
I love coming here I love to come see the plants I love the plants especially when they're on discount be kind to each other it doesn't cost anything
This store has got to be one of the busiest Depots. Staff not eager to help to add lacking experience. Merchandise clutter obstructed walkways.
FYI Home depot, doers can get more done if you eliminated the self-help and had more cashiers to help with those looong lines.
The Customer Service at this location is non existent. Instead of a store it has become a warehouse they let you shop in...
Seems like we visit home Depot at least 4 times a month. All the employees are always so helpful in finding products. Xo
Higinio Rodriguez was great help in the plumbing department I don't know plumbing but he got me everything that I needed
Ordered delivery of two doors but they were a no call/no show for their scheduled day/time. Not very professional.
Needed double sided keys made but machine can't do it and don't offer any other key service like they used to.
I believe someone may have wanted to return that French Smart car but couldn't decide which cart to use …
On the website it shows availability for what I needed, yet when I get here I’m told there are none.
My thermostat went out so I went and bought that and needed filters they always have the ones I need
Friendly employees that are all willing to help you find what your looking for!
Good customer service everything is organized n easy to find what you need
Great for cheap products Ryobi mostly like harbor freight tools....china
