I went to The Leaf yesterday to buy some produce and it was an amazing, heartwarming experience. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the authentic pine mushrooms that I’ve never seen in a shop in Australia which reminded me of the long walks in the Russian forest with my grandma picking up mushrooms and later cooking them in our wooden country house many years ago... I also loved seeing your beautiful golden mandarins with a leaf attached to each one of them. These mandarins tasted just like the sweet & sour mandarins my parents used to buy us for the New Year’s celebrations as a special treat. I also couldn’t resist the heirloom tomatoes bringing back the memories of trips to a village market with my father, as well as the emerald dill and parsley, fresh and — you’ve guessed it — looking just like the ones my mother used to grow in our garden... I know, it sounds like a nostalgic trip back in time but as Exupery once said, “All grown-ups were once children”, and during these challenging, uncertain times of the quarantine and locked borders, when I have no idea when will I get a chance to visit my parents overseas, coming to The Leaf and discovering all these treasures gave me the comfort and hope that things will improve for all. Exceptional range, quality, customer service and delivery options. I was able to organise diverse and detailed deliveries (to door) for an elderly individual interstate with ease and in a timely manner. Through multiple experiences with staff and online ordering I have received produce, help and problem solving that has exceeded any expectations I may have had and always resolved any issues that have arisen. I can thoroughly recommend as a delivery option for yourself or someone else and attest to the high level of customer service and genuine care given to their work.

Great range of foods. They have Roka cheese crispies, for example - been hunting for them for years. Friendly staff, good quality. Can't ask for much more than that! Update: as well as visiting the store itself, have now had food home delivered twice by Leaf, and both times have been happy with the quality of the veggies etc that have been selected. You just book a preferred delivery date and time - with current COVID restrictions you may need to plan and order a little further in advance but that's more than understandable.

I’ve been getting my vegetables here for a few years now, always very high quality and delicious. Love how the produce are sourced from local farms and genuinely very good quality. I bought a dozen eggs here and 11/12 are double yoked. I mean, I’m a child so that’s magic for me lol but love this place, I go in about 3x a week and get most of my kitchen / cooking essentials here. The tap milk from Schultz is also a favourite. Flower selection is as good as the vegetables, so beautiful. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

The Bomboloni, you need to stock these 24/7/365 in your Elwood store, even when you don't open, just stock them anyway. Never, ever, have shelves bereft of Bomboloni. I had to walk home on a bright sunny morning recently to face my family, standing there at the front door, with my empty Bomboloniless hands. In their minds, the sun would never shine again. Please, for the sake of all that is still good in this world, stock more Bomboloni.

Great place to find healthy unprocessed organic food. I tried a new sourdough loaf made from a heritage grain called Emmer. It’s made by Healthybake bakery in lillydale. It’s a bit lighter and less chewy than the sourdough I’m used to but my three year old loves it and it’s a good shape that fits into his lunchbox. Being whole meal and sourdough it’s a good healthy option for him.

I got my first delivery from Leaf Express this morning; a fruit box and a vegetable + salad box. All of the produce looks absolutely amazing, so fresh and included a great selection. I have only tried the grapes so far but they were the best grapes I have ever had! I look forward to ordering again to cover all of my produce needs during social distancing/lockdown. I have been shopping at Leaf for while, everytime they have been overcharging us. Last one was I bought 2 nectarine, they charged me $7 and it went of after 3 days. We have brought this issues up to the shop, but they ignore it. Try and be honest to your customers , always ask for your receipt when you shope at Leaf . Who knows how many time they have taken our money.

Called up in search of a certain person who used to own a health food store in the street and was met with whoever answered the phone taking the opportunity to bad mouth the person’s exisiting business. Turns out the contact I was after has reopened in the street recently and thus a competitor. Not sure the goal of his comment... but pretty poor ethic.

My mobile phone was knocked out of my hand and consequently the screen was smashed by another customer, a lady who was flinging her handbag over her shoulder like she was a cowgirl trying to catch a cow on the loose. While it's not the store's fault, I won't be going back, it's too crowded in there and the aisles too small, claustrophobic in there.

Great store, helpful staff and surrounded by some of the best coffee shops in Melbourne. I seriously couldn't get through the working week without buying a ready made meal from The Leaf Store. The bolognese sauce is a family favorite. The fresh fruit and veg is of the highest quality. There are always lots of yummy samples on offer!

Always the best and FRIENDLIEST and most knowledgeable service. Katrina, Rocco, and everyone make it a joy to shop when you come in and everyone at checkout is always smiling and groovy. Plus they now stock flowers and their tulips are fresher and better and priced better than any florist in the nearby suburbs and last longer, too!

Odd store Elwood Organic Produce thrown in with absolute quality bargains and exotic veggies with stacks of varieties...cheaper than supermarkets you just have to stroll around...perfect place for three times a week for fresh veggies for salads, fry ups or roasts...Well picked Staff by the Manager. Everyone is quite helpful.

It's always a pleasure shopping at Leaf. The variety of food is fantastic, the fruit and veg are great quality and I buy organic as much as I can so they have plenty of organic food available. The staff are always friendly. It's obviously a great place to work. Happy to see that Leaf are starting up in Brighton too.

I previously rated this 5stars. However I'm lowering that due to the unfriendly service I recieved here. Cashiers didn't even acknowledge me last time.. I'll be going out of my way to 'Little Hen' to get my bread now where they seem to appreciate their customers trying to support local businesses.

Never have I seen so many different mushrooms in one place. The variety here is amazing. The quality of the produce is here is a tier above. Some may complain that it's too pricey, but you're paying for a direct connection to quality and variety. Well worth the price and super friendly staff too.

The term Fresh Produce takes on a whole new meaning here at The Leaf Store. Fresh is so very fresh. The fruit and vegetables just scream out "eat me", as does the sourdough bread and pastries. And add to that a fine selection of gourmet cheeses. Love this place and go there nearly every day.

An amazing well stocked health food supermarket. A mecca for all that you may need. The fruit and veg is fresh with a high turnover. Prices are a little higher than elsewhere and the location is unbeatable. Pop over to the beach after shopping which is a 10 min walk :-)

Cute little shop with a wonderful selection of fresh fruit and veg. I wish it were slightly bigger, but also part of the charm is that it's so small. Range is limited but they offer a great selection of brands you're definitely never going to find at a Coles/Woolies.

The fact that they start to empty the shelves 30 minutes before closing time is totally disrespectful towards the loyal locals. Rushing in to do a shop before closing time at 8pm and having to ask staff to source items is time consuming, annoying, and disgraceful.

Great range of fresh produce, bread, and pantry items, and extremely friendly and helpful staff to boot. They always have clear displays showing what produce is in season making it really easy to buy great food at a great price. A local gem we're lucky to have.

This is an Elwood institution and really adds to the village feel of the shopping strip. The fresh produce is exceptional with a great organic selection. You will also find some fantastic gourmet grocery stores for all manner of cuisines.

Great place, always busy at Christmas time and ordered a lot of stock off me. Ran and presented well and they seem to be expanding fairly rapidly, also have very friendly staff who never gave me any hassle when I delivered.

Been going here for over 10 years and I have moved all over Melbourne and sometime have driven 40 mins just to get my produce from leaf. The quality is unbeatable all year round. I've never found better in that time.

Amazing customer service!! Went out of their way to deliver to an address outside their normal area. Even though not all bags arrived, they made sure that the remaining bags got delivered before the end of day.

Love the selection and layout of the store, it's open till 8pm I believe, which is handy, it's well staffed but it's frustrating that to eat well you have to pay so much...this is a premium store.

From an occasional visit to Leaf it's now a regular routine. And I don't know how I would cope without this service - good food wide choices and good delivery. Who can ask for anything more?

Awesome selection of local and organic groceries and specialty cooking items. If you have something obscure for a recepie. They probably have it. And lots to choose from to boot.
