DO NOT START YOUR SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY! Was a customer for over 10 years, now I can find a better deal; following are the reasons to leave TMC: 1. No monthly payments; you must pay for a full year. 2. No refund is available; read a contract before you sign an agreement. 3. TMC respond time is over 8 minutes when the alarm is activated 4. They can only tell you which zone shows a motion detection and you need to figure out is it false or the real alarm. 5. They would increase a yearly fee as soon as the first year is over ($9.99 is a marketing trick). I am now using another provider who doesn’t require a land line to set an alarm system, and motion detections can be control from the mobile device. Also, the monthly price is less than what TMC offered initially. Finally, these 4 starts are not the real reflection and you should check Better Business Bureau where 1.5 star is where TMC stands.

Buyer Beware - The $9.99 Monitoring Center security service is a scam. The Monitoring Center is quick to increase your customer service fee and most customers are none the wiser of the increase in their billing because the Monitoring Center uses Auto Billing. And for those that do notice the service increase, most probably do not bother to dispute the increase in charge because it is only a couple of dollars in any given increase. Expect to pay more and more and continue to be overcharged. Full disclosure - There is no $9.99 service, this is solely for sales - to get you to sign up. Then once you sign their contract, come the increases in their fees. Read the Monitoring Center contract for yourself - In doing so, you will come to the conclusion - the Monitoring Center is a scam.

I have to say the only good interaction has been with my installer. He tried his best to get the system to work with the app. Which, by the way, I was on this app with my previous alarm company. Unfortunately, he was not able to sync the app with the main panel. I have been waiting two days for a supervisor call me. I have called him twice and each time I have spoken to two very rude people who have told me the supervisor is too busy to speak to me because he just got back from holidays. I am paying for something. I am paying for a service that is not working. I think customer support which is big when you’re using a monitoring company is very poor in this company. I’m a little concerned.

Of course, the sensible monthly fee was the first attraction, but I quickly experienced actual service - from the sales rep on the phone to the technician that arrived days later to set up my system. Professional, painless, prompt and affordable. Beware the telecom pretender!

Glad the system really works. When the alarm was triggered a live rep called me right away. I have confidence in the system now which gives me peace of mind. When there is an electrical power issue (AC issue) (keypad not connected to power source) that doesn’t trigger the alarm because it’s still functioning on cellular resources and can be armed and disarmed by the app on your phone, you get automated voice messages and emails. So far I am happy with the response. Hopefully I will never need it (for a real break in).

I booked a new system upgrade two months in advance. I was called that the technician would arrive between 11am-1pm and at 1:30 was called and told nobody is coming. When I asked when they can come, I was told the next available slot was 21 days later. This is how they treat a new customer getting an upgraded system from the previous home owners who used this company. No way I am going to use this company now. Terrible service. And the service rep who called didn’t even care.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I HAD THE MONITORING CENTRE AS A SECURITY SYSTEM FOR 10 YEARS. I cancelled last year and told them in good time - both in writing and by telephone. They continued to charge me for 3 months afterwards. Now the system beeps constantly - day and night. It is making me crazy and there is NO way to turn it off. I have called countless times and they are So unhelpful!!! Rude customer service and all around a bad and unhelpful company.

Just moved and transferred my account to my new home. The technician (Steven) spent a good amount of time updating my system and checking every entry point. I've used their services for many years and they have been excellent responders. Fortunately all my alarms were of our own making. But they have always been "'Johnny on the spot", response wise.

We had an outstanding experience switching over to The Monitoring Center after receiving very poor service from another company. Gilbert was on time and extremely professional. He spent three hours checking our entire system and adding the wonderful online/phone app system, so we can arm/disarm/monitor our system from anywhere in the world! Bravo!

David was our on-site technician today and we were pleased with the work that was done. My telephone provider, Frontier, upgraded the land line to digital which caused the Monitoring Center not to receive the signal they need to be alerted. It cost me money but I believe it is worth it. I have been a customer since 2014! Always good service.

I just migrated my alarm system monitoring from a service provider that I had been using for over 10 years; to my surprise some of the sensors were not working. TMC technician, Amit did a wonderful job in getting the system up and running. He was very thorough, courteous and helpful. I would recommend TMC any time.
