I recently stayed at The Motley Hotel with my family where we all occupied 3 hotel rooms. All I can say is just WOW. From the moment you walk into the entrance you walk into an exquisitely modern, classy, and elegant entrance to which you are greeted at reception by very friendly staff. Check-in process was quick and efficient and while checking in the staff took our bags up to our rooms. This hotel has thought of every bit of detail in the design, from the funky print in the elevators, carpets in the walkways, and the stunning wallpapers throughout. I was blown away by the class and ascetics of the room when I opened the door! This hotel has hit the mark with its style with out it being over the top like other hotels such as the W-hotel Melbourne. The room has all your modern fixtures, with an iPad-style phone for making calls, and setting alarms, and has other features like room temperature. My room contained a study nook with charging points for USB and a balcony that looked out onto Bridge road where I had fantastic views of the city. The bed in the room was super comfortable and unlike most hotels the pillows were perfect! I loved the little touches in the bathroom with the illuminated and magnifying mirror, perfect for doing my makeup. We also ate at the restaurant where the food, drinks, cocktails, and staff were just divine! One of the things I loved about this hotel was the friendliness of the staff and how every time I walk passed the front desk, they remembered my name. If your looking for a boutique hotel stay, then look no further than The Motel Hotel!

The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was able to quickly settle into my room. Speaking of the room, it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in, and the linens were of high quality. The bathroom was also spotless and well-stocked with toiletries. One of the things that stood out to me was the attention to detail throughout the hotel. From the decor in the lobby to the amenities in the room, everything was well thought out and executed. The location of the hotel was also convenient, as it was close to many attractions and restaurants. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which allowed me to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff, amenities, and location all exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It is beautifully designed and a perfect mix of eclectic and modern. So easy to find as the tram stop is literally right out front of the hotel, making it easy to get anywhere you need. The service from staff was amazing - on check in staff made so much effort into local recommendations, any advice I needed, and granted my request for late check out no problems at all. The room itself has great amenities, including lots of well placed outlets (including usb direct plugs), a switch to turn of all room lights from bed, a tablet, Nespresso machine and a Chromecast enabled TV. The bathroom came with so many amenities too, right down to dental kits and loofah! My only negative feedback would be it would be nice to have 2 sets of cutlery in the drawer, as I got takeout and forgot to request cutlery. Overall, a great hotel and have already booked my next stay in February.

We chose The Motley for an overnight stay to see Robbie Williams through my qantas points, so I'm not too sure of the cost. Room small but fab bed & pillows. En suite again small, but had all we needed. Products lovely! I liked the decor! All staff helpful & again lovely. Had complimentary wine & beer on the second floor terrace before we walked to AAMI. Reception staff recommended the walk too rather than cab etc as so busy. Breakfast...oh my goodness. The coffee was delicious. A la carte breakfast menu....lots of choice, huge portions & delicious. Only downside was that they were a tad busy & bit understaffed. Wouldn't hesitate in coming again or recommending. Sorry I didn't take any photos...I usually do! Too excited for Robbie. Good job guys.

I’ve stayed at all types of hotels all over the world and can honestly say Richmond’s Motley hotel is among the best! Fantastic location in Bridge Rd opposite the tram station, 4 stops from the MCG and a few more onwards to the heart of Melbourne city. The room was clean, well appointed, modern and had the best chic yet cosy vibe. The bed was fantastic, the linen exceptional quality, loved the pillow menu, particularly the duck and goose pillow. The shower awesome with both a rain shower and hand shower, lovely toiletries supplies in room. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, particularly of note was Celestine who went above and beyond to make our weekend in Melbourne so special. Great food options close by in particular Pacific Seafood House where we were served the best Peking duck we have ever had. Seriously this hotel was faultless. I cannot wait to stay again!

Me and my daughter stayed here for 2 nights and as soon as we walked in I loved the place! The receptionist Jessica, was so amazing and friendly, The atmosphere was so relaxed with the bar and restaurant there as well! A stones throw away from everything else (Coles, Vintage Cellars, MCG, cafes, restaurants, City!) and the tram stops right outside the door! The bed was so comfortable, the room was very cosy and exceptionally clean! Love the idea that we could help ourselves to what was in the bar fridge as well! I will definitely be stopping in here again the next time I am in town!

If you're looking for a unique and luxurious place to stay in the heart of Richmond, the Motley Hotel is the perfect choice. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay. The hotel also features a fantastic restaurant called Ms Parker. The food was absolutely amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I will definitely be back in the future.

We stayed in May for 4 nights, this hotel is amazing. I had a procedure at the Epworth Richmond Hospital which is just a few minutes walk, so very convenient. The whole experience was great. The bed & pillows were comfy, the robes soft and warm. Enjoyed the tea and coffee selection and mini bar. The room was quiet which was perfect while I was recovering. Above all Antonio, Celestine, Chris and staff went above and beyond. Have booked another stay in July, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Melbourne.

A great modern high tech hotel close to the city. There’s a tram stop directly outside of the hotel so travelling to the CBD is very easy and only takes 10min on the tram. The room was very modern and had heaps of cool little amenities and built in room control features. I like that they had Chromecast on their tvs so you could stream whatever you desired to watch. The staff were also very friendly. They’d always greet you in passing and assist you with any quieres you have.

I highly recommend this hotel for any stay requirements. The reception staff were so friendly, and helpful -nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable - with additional items available at my request with little to no wait time. I slept like I would at home which is a big plus for me with comfortable bedding. The Motley hotel is a contemporary gem. Located in Bridge Rd among cafes, restaurants and shops with easy access to the city and sporting/entertainment precincts. The staff are delightful and very helpful. The rooms are well appointed and highly functional. The internet is the fastest I have ever used! A bar, cafe and restaurent are all options for in house use. The pricing of rooms is highly competitive. We have all ready booked for another stay.

Great hotel with the most comfortable bed away from home I have ever slept in. Rooms were comfortable, modern and incredibly quiet. Only issue we had was with parking. There is nothing around the hotel itself, but there is within a 5 minute walk. Bit painful when pushing suitcases, but you adapt and overcome. Would def stay here again

Stayed here as newlyweds and it was perfect, amazing rooms with beautiful furnishings, very clean and comfortable too. Best part was the service, the staff were very professional and friendly and made an extra effort to make the stay perfect. If you’re lucky enough to be there when Chris is working, he went above and beyond and provided some of the best hotel service we’ve ever received. The bar and restaurant attached were also excellent and we would highly recommend.

I had a lovely 3 night stay at The Motley. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I enjoyed the coffee and tea selection. The bed was comfy and the robes and towels were so soft. I especially liked the low lighting and art work. Chris on Reception was so friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping is of a very high standard.

Recently had a wonderful experience at this new fabulous hotel in Bridge Road Richmond. Beautiful rooms and decorated in a very tasteful manner, with all amenities one could ask for. Then had dinner at Ms Parker’s restaurant beautifully decorated and you can almost see and feel Ms Parker in a great way. The food was delicious we had the prawns cooked to perfection then the fish of the day. Looking forward to a return visit.

Room was beautiful, plenty of usb ports etc, bed was fantastic, no parking on site unfortunately but parked just 50mt up the road. Got breakfast included. Food was ok (not fabulous, just ok), service was extremely slow but coffee was great. Would go back but probably get breaky elsewhere.

Has a wonderful experience here. The hotel is funky, fun and fabulous ... the art work and decor is incredible and definitely worth a look. Very hip!!!! Dinner was fantastic, they cater for Celiacs and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything. Highly recommend ... particularly if you are wanting to impress someone.

What a beautiful hotel. We stayed a night recently and the whole hotel is stunning. The roofs are super comfy and the food in the restaurant was outstanding.
