Update: I stopped in today to give the store another go. I am very pleased with the service I received. Duncan helped me so much! He is an absolutely stellar fish hobbyist, sales person, and was extremely informative. It is very obvious he is passionate about his job, and actually made me happy to spend the money I spent today (because he helped me make informed choices). He got me setup with some beautiful corydoras, apistogrammas, and an African butterfly fish. He also helped me with choosing an RO unit so that I could get my pH where I wanted it. I was very happy that Duncan answered all my questions pertaining to setting up a nano tank for my husband who wants to keep shrimp. Another employee, who I unfortunately did not get the name of, informed me of this great brackish shrimp (that he breeds) and explained to me in detail how he keeps them and which plants/substrate to use for them. I have the tank setup now and am looking forward to coming back for the shrimp once I get my parameters stable. Thank you for an amazing fish experience today I really like the selection of fish. My complaint lies with customer service. I had to keep going back to the counter to ask if certain species would be okay in my tank with my set up. It was clear as day I wanted informed advice on stocking my 75 gal, and that I was ready to make fish purchases. I'm confused why no one walked out on the floor with me and showed me appropriate fish. It's clear the employees are very knowledgeable, but the service is lacking. I didn't drive 1 hour, one way, to walk around a fish store and treat it like a free aquarium. I drove an hour out of my town because the ocean floor is supposed to be a great store to purchase fish and aquarium essentials. The store itself is cool.. but, as I said, service isn't great.

Always love the ocean floor. We got supplies this time for our baby cichlids and the staff was very helpful. This store has a very wide variety of freshwater fish. They also have saltwater and corals! Many live plants are available here. We have gotten neon tetras, dwarf peffer fish, angel fish, snails, rasbora's, and many many other fish. They also have tanks for sale as well as display tanks. They've got frozen fish food; bloodworms, eggs, shrimp clams and others. There is a fish pond throughout the middle of the store and sometimes on Sunday you can feed them for 50 cents. Then if you need filters, heaters, nets, food, medicine they have all that too! Check our the clearance section for some cool grabs as well. It's the biggest aquarium store with the most variety that I have ever been to. If you need water to fill aquariums I do believe they have that. They have Bettas!! Literally everything you could ever need for your aqaurium...this store will probably have it.

First off, there are a lot of helpful employees and some amazing displays here. It's such a nice store. I've purchased two rounds of freshwater fish here. The first was when I was new to the hobby. They all lasted no more than six months. That could have been my fault as I wasn't super informed of fish sickness. A year later I decided to buy a few more. Terrible terrible idea. Ich is common and easy to fix but I'm losing all the fish in my tank to about 3 different diseases. On arrival to my home, one of the fish was on deaths door. I'm treating and doing water changes. Water still maintains at solid levels with great consistency. Ich treatment, salt, and other API treatments are helping some fish, but not all. This is the last time I buy fish here. I know they have a return policy but why would I want more sick fish?

They have a terrible setup when it comes to pricing, spider wood is falsely advertised so don’t even bother. They have this giant bin full of spider wood with tags ranging from s-xxl and it says spider wood with no tags is $13.99 per pound. Well all the wood that didn’t have tags had zip ties on them and apparently they consider that a tag. And yet no where is a sign that says how much each color zip tie is worth. The manager literally sat there and argued with me about it not being falsely advertised. I told him numerous times to show me the sign where it has these prices and he said there isn’t one, that if every single item was priced “it would be too confusing for customers” so yes please just make up random prices at the cash register because that’s less confusing for people. Like make some sense please.

After chatting with a few pet experts at this location, i was advised that introducing a black molly to my other 3 females would not be a problem. Upon introducing the male it stressed out the other females. A few days later separated the purchased molly into another tank and all was back to normal. Called the shop to see if they could just exchange the male for another female the “Supervisor” stated that there are no exchanges on compatibility issues despite being reassured by the other male employees at the place that there wouldn’t be any issues. Even the front desk gal claiming if i had any issues they would work it out… “Oh they will work with you” pffft yeah right! Don’t purchase anything from this place.

We are so excited to find a reputable local fish store. They have a huge stock of aquariums, fish, and equipment. (By the way, we have 4 baby Oscars which everyone knows are just water puppies, so they need a lot of room.) They even will install a large tank for you. Oscar and Jamison helped us out with the specifics of our tank needs, including size (180 gallon), and filtration (45 gallon sump). Within a week we got the tank completely installed. Ramon and Ryan our installers called ahead, showed up on time. Was courteous, clean and very professional. They were very informative and explained what they were doing during the entire install. I highly recommend this fish store

We have purchased any fish from here. The most recent experience was not very good. Maybe because we were there so close to closing time. It felt very rushed and they just sold us whatever to get us to leave. We are new to salt water and wanted to make sure we were not getting any fish that would not go well together. After spending over $100 we got home we found out they were not all compatible. We took back a damsel after the other two had passed away shortly after arriving home. We were not offered a store credit or any type of refund. They have a wide variety of fish but would recommend not shopping close to closing time.

I felt welcome the moment I walked in .Staff was very knowledgeable about my freshwater fish.I have a planted tank and Discus fish.I recieved bad advice from another tropical fish store when I had an injured Discus. I followed the other stores advice and lost $300 in Discus.I spoke to the young man at Ocean floor and he confirmed what I figured out after my loss ....I should of never mixed the 2 medications I had bought at the other store and used half of what they told me .I think the staff at Ocean Knows Their stuff. I trust what they say .They have a new customer :).Thank you Ocean Floor Staff.

I can always get the info I'm curious about from the workers. I love how they rotate cashiers and the floor workers. The display tanks are really well scaped and kept after. The quality of the products and fish are phenomenal. Their boss came in today and immediately started helping customers along with his workers. I was very impressed with his work ethic. Shows a very good leadership foundation and respectful nature among the workers. Also if they think something isn't going to work out for you they are not scared to lose a sale to protect the fish and fish keeper from mistakes.

I'm an avid aquatics fan. Owning several tanks of cichlids is a large investment of time and money. As a result, it's important to have access to the best selection of products and healthy stock. There's no place like The Ocean Floor! It's the only place I'll go to buy my fish products. It's an adventure, even if you don't own any fish. The large display tanks are fantastic. Also, they have a very knowledgeable staff that can answer just about any questions you have about setting up an aquarium or what kind of fish works best for your setup.

The prices here are a little high, but you’re getting much better quality than you would from a big box pet store. I have bought plants, fish, and hard scape from The Ocean Floor. The fish are all very well cared for and they have a huge variety. I have received so much good advice, and the employees are always so willing to help educate or troubleshoot. They will test your water for you if you do not have a master test kit, which is so nice. Kids really enjoy visiting as well! I got most of what is in my most recent tank from them

First off if you are any type of Fish or aquarium lover this place is your all in one stop shop! They have everything you need with a wide selection and all sorts of unique setups. If you are looking for a special/specific fish more than likely they will have it. They have soooo many fish from fresh water to salt water. It’s a good time just to walk through and check everything out! The staff is helpful and very professional. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone it’s worth checking out!!! 5/5 stars!!!

I travel from the far west side of the valley just to shop and support the Ocean Floor because it's the only place I feel like I'm being educated at the same time I shop for my supplies and livestock. Ramone was so helpful offering suggestions to make my new reef tank a complete success each and every time I walked in the doors, couldn't ask for a better place to get all your aquarium needs fresh or saltwater. You really rock the underwater world guys and thanks again Ramone and the rest of the staff.

First off, they have a great selection and the staff were pretty helpful. They also have a 2 day guarantee for fish (if they die). Which is cool. However, i recently came in to return 3 live fish that I had purchased the week before, because they were fighting in my tank. I asked for store credit and all they would give me is half store credit. For 3 live fish they’re going to turn around and sell. I feel a bit ripped off and would be hesitant to go back in.

It has been many years since I have been to this fish store. I was asked twice by associates if I needed any assitance by the time I found the area I was looking for. Excellent selection of equipment with all the major vendors in stock. Lots and lots of fresh water fish. I didnt have time to cruise the salt water selection. I picked up a bueatiful mature male Bristol nose pleco i had been wanting.. I will certainly be returning!

Best fish store in town! Mark and Dolan are super nice and always ready to help. Only do my shopping here. The pond is beautiful and so are the other aquariums! Sometimes after a long day I just go there for a pick me up. Always have a sale going on for plants and sometimes other products as well! Great store hours and safety measures especially during covid pandemic. Also offer a rewards program!

This store has amazing staff who are very knowledgeable and helpful. They sell red sea tanks which are quite pricey, but look to be excellent quality and come with most things you need to get set up. They have one set up with beautiful coral and fish. Someday I would love to set something like that up, and I was glad to have some help offer advice, and some realistic expectations for what I can do in the future.

The minute that my husband and I walked into this store, we were amazed. This is a beautiful store and even better than we could have imagined. They have everything that you could want. My mom was looking for something for her new tank. Del was so informative and helped us get some clown fish. They love their new environment. We will definitely be coming back. First time coming to this place and I loved it! They had an amazing selection between salt water and fresh water wishes! I was surprised at how big this facility is. They are also doing an amazing! Job at social distancing by requiring face masks to be worn at all times and only allowing a certain amount of people in at a time. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to come here and check it out!

Ocean Floor has great employees and are very knowledgeable but their prices have gotten outrageous. I’ve heard many other hobbyists complain about it too. They basically want twice as much money as other LFS like Kona Reef. $60-70 for a single clownfish or $60 for a cleaner shrimp. Literally double the price as other shops. Do yourself a favor and pay half that somewhere else.

Big variety of fresh and salt fish. They have live rocks forsale also. The tanks seemed crazy high priced. Might be what they're worth I don't know. Kinda hard to get help to buy fish and the younger guy will talk you outta buying what you wanted (plecos). Answered a few questions and he still kept going so I said never mind not worth the hassle .other then that good store

Wow what a cool place. Im new to having a fish tank and when i came here Ryan answered ALL my questions and gave me some solid advice i hadn't considered before. HUGE selection of fish and everything you could possibly need for them. ( even medically) also they have a large selection of tanks. Comming here is truely an experience you'll enjoy.

Huge fish store with tons of great product. Even if you're not currently in the market for a fish tank, it's a great place to meander. Especially because of the cool inside koi pond. They have a large array of fish with many different tanks, decorum, attachments and food. We went for a large pleco and found a great one who is doing great in our tank.

Always a great place to take the kids specially with little ones that like animals. I remember back in the day when my folks would take me here, and now I'm helping my kid build an awesome tank with some Lil creatures from here. Would recommend checking this place out even if your not interested in buying anything its cool to see all the animals.

The Ocean Floor is such a wonderful place to see fresh and salt water fish. They have absolutely everything you could ever want. From fish tanks ranging from 50 to 24,000 dollars it's crazy. I took my 11 year old son there for like a mini field trip and he was so amazed with everything. We definitely will return thank you Ocean Floor!

Amazing store! I’m new to all of this so it was a little overwhelming, but the girl that helped me was really nice. I enjoyed walking around for about a half hour just checking out all of the cool setups and animals available. I found most of what I needed and didn’t spend a fortune. I’ll definitely be back!

By far the biggest selection of aquarium products I have found in Arizona. They also send out weekly specials which definitely come in handy and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. I definitely recommend you come check this place out even if it's just to look around.

This place sold me plants for $50 that werent even supposed to be submerged... told me they were giving me a deal and didnt... dont know if I'll be back... took about 10 days for the plants I bought to die... us it was my birthday with no discount... sad sacks...

They have a lot of fish is over here fish over there fish on this wall fish on that wall and you got it if you didn't guess, if it's not obvious they got fish on the floor but don't worry they're not dead they have a little river in the store on the floor.

By far the largest/nicest pet fish store I've been to. They have everything you could possibly need, from complete setups to air pumps and filters. The staff is also very knowledgeable on the things they sell and the selection of fish is just amazing.

We come here all the time for our fish tank needs. We have a saltwater tank and two planted freshwater tanks, one high tech and one low tech. The store is well kept and the plants and fish are healthy. They always have some kind of deal, too!

If you live in the valley and are a fish keeper this place is must see. They have almost everything you could ask for in this hobby. There is even a koi pond, coral, anemone. A little on the pricey side but worth it... To me at least.

Jake in the tropical section helped me and my girlfriend get my old tank started back up. He was very kind and knowledgeable and pretty much shopped around with us for everything needed to get our tank ready for fish in a few weeks.

Been coming to this store since I was a kid. I've done small tanks and large tanks. Salt water, fresh water and now am doing a planted 20gallon tank. The staff is great they are friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the drive.

This is one of my favorite fish stores. Out of all the other and small businesses i been too, im fully satisfied everytime I come here. They always have a plant deal. And they restock all the time on fish and plants.

This is my go to for anything fish tank related. I get my live plants, rocks, gravel, and driftwood. All different sizes, colors, and shapes! Definitely recommended over the big commercial stores!

A huge, well stocked fish and aquarium store. It's fun to visit and see the koi pond/river. They have both new and used aquariums. I've never seen as many huge aquariums for sale! Friendly staff.
