Free test drive was excellent. It was clean and equipment was in top notch condition. I've only tried 2 gyms in the area and this one has the most state of the art equipment yet. I've never seen TVs on each treadmill or elliptical at any other gym which made the workout pleasant. I also liked the website because of the fitness trackers and detailed workout information with a personal login. I wonder if the personal trainers would use this information to tailor exercise programs? They only give one free day but really...I only needed one day to fall for this gym. I of course have to try all the gyms in the area before I make my decision but this is by far my favorite.

My partner and I went in just to check the place out and see what it was like...Maybe catch a workout and sign up if we liked it. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed like friends. The entire environment is calming and zen, I felt motivated by the staff and people there without being overwhelmed. Its one of the cleanest gyms ive been to as well. The trainers are extremely helpful u can tell, and we cant wait to join. This is definitely a place we can see ourselves at for a long time. They are also expanding which is great. I really hope they will be adding a sauna/steam room with the expansion, then I'll be a lifetime member lol.

I love coming here. I don't feel intimidated here like I do other gyms. It is small, but comfortable. Nice equipment and bathrooms. Being a college student that goes to school, working, needing to go to the gym and paying rent can be really hard sometimes. If I ever have a financial situation and need to hold off on a gym payment, the owner William is so understanding. Twice he's let me pay whenever I could with no questions asked! Really nice people from who I've met. Finally a gym that makes me want to work out.

The Open Gym has a fun and friendly vibe, as well as a fantastic variety of equipment. I feel like I have everything I need for whatever type of workout I want to do, including equipment I've found to be lacking at some other places (e.g., ropes, foam rollers). The classes are fun and I enjoy using the electronic massage table. I met with Brian recently and he's a great trainer! All of the staff members are kind and helpful. Of all the gyms I've belonged to over the years, The Open Gym is my favorite!

Yes I’ve been coming there a couple weeks. I do like to gym and there are no crowds. My only gripe is that weights don’t match, Tape is used to repair handles on machines instead of replacing them all together. A little upkeep and some . And both weights and machines could be perfect. On the upside 24 access is nice and it is a Gym that breaks it down to basics which is nice. No crazy corporate atmosphere. But as I said the maintaining does need some work.

The atmosphere is friendly and accepting. Staff and members are encouraging but not judgmental. Classes are fun and as challenging as you want them to be. They are small enough for some personalized attention too. When I started going there, I only jogged occasionally or did the elliptical. Over the years, the various classes I have taken and a few sessions with trainers have made me much stronger and healthier. Thank you.

I should have actually written a review, instead of just the 5-stars. This is an amazing gym. I like the 24/7 access to the equipment and the low numbers of gym goers at night. The equipment is varied enough to give your body a good workout. There are classes offered, but I can't comment on them, since I never went. I had to stop my membership due to financial reasons, but have been waiting to sign back up again.

Visited today for a day pass and I had a great workout. Costumer service was excellent. They offer a great viarity of equipment and dumbells over 100 lbs. Face towels, lockers, and a shower is available. Open 24 hours with an active membership. They offer a room with plenty of boxing equipment as well. They offer memberships without contracts at great prices. Thank you for a great workout!

There are not enough stars to reflect how awesome this gym is. It’s clean, the equipment is well maintained, 24 hour access and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s locally owned and all the classes are free. I recommend this gym to people of all levels of fitness...from beginner to advanced. I have always felt welcome, never intimidated and there is always room to workout. Bravo!

My wife and I have been members at this gym for 8 months now. We are very happy with it And the employees. We never have to wait for equipment especially the elliptical and treadmill. The fees are extremely reasonable. The trainers are excellent. The classes are great. The gym itself is very clean and orderly. In short we will continue going until we leave the area.

This is a great gym, it's clean and the equipment is in good order. It has a positive vibe and a really nice mix of people- older & younger, serious lifters & fitness folks, and the staff is friendly. I've only taken advantage of the classes a few times, and should more when my schedule allows, and found them enjoyable and the right amount of challenge.

Staff is super friendly and always asking for feedback to improve the gym. They have free weights, machines, a dance/yoga studio area, and lots of other equipment! Battle ropes, boxes for jumping, etc. The place is well-kept and has lockers, bathrooms, and I think showers. Incredibly good value for your money and we luuuuv shopping local.

Continued to charge my account for 3 months after I cancelled in person. After writing to the owner to explain his mistake, he offered to reimburse only 1 month. He deliberately decided to keep 2 months fees (about $80 bucks) with no legitimate rationale. Perhaps, it was simple greed??? Do you really want to join a gym that operates like this?

I've never joined a gym before, but the staff and other members are very friendly. The personal trainers and knowledgeable and have great workouts! There are three bathrooms with showers, one of which is gender neutral. The towel service is very convient as are the lockets. I really enjoy the hip hop cardio class! Fantastic local business!

Good selection of equipment. Hours in evening are usually not busy. Only critique i have is more towards clients - some ignore basic gym etiquette, like not talking at a soft tone or not having a long conversation while standing in front of equipment (they're obviously not using). Avoid those gym trolls and your time here will be fine.

I love the personal atmosphere. I am greeted at the door and there are a variety of fun classes available with my membership. I have a CRAZY work schedule, so being able to come in at any time is awesome. The location is always clean and bright. Plus, lots of things available (like mats, blocks, dance space, etc) for me to use.

I have been a member of the Open Gym for several years and thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere, clientele, equipment and it's location. Very clean and managed professionally! The owner (Bill) is a very friendly person that treats customers as family. I would recommend this facility to anyone interested in joining a fitness center.

Duncan helped me get started and he’s real inviting. I’m from out of town and I was looking for a spot to work out. It’s low key. Even has a room full of punching bags. The lifting equipment is a little limited compared to golds or 24 hour fitness but honestly, it has all the essentials. Would definitely come back!

Pretty overall good gym, there's at least 1 machine for every essential muscle and a decent variety of cardio, free weights and yoga equipment. Also has a pretty good radio as well, tuned into 103.3 I'm pretty sure. P.S. doing leg day is hard, there is an anomaly that is disrupted when it is leg day :(

Since a regular workout is a necessity for a healthy life, you want your gym to be always available, well kept, well managed, and a pleasant place filled with pleasant people. Open Gym is all that and more. I have been a member since it opened and it just keeps getting better. I'm very grateful.

I like that, as the name implies, it's always open. It's very convenient for me because if I want to go with any of my friends I have to go late. I've never actually attended any of the classes, but I like that they're directly available to anyone with a membership.

I gotta' check this place out. I'm rating it high because it sounds good though I've never been. My main concerns are over-crowding, is the cardio-equipment pro( not purchased at Wal Mart ), and are there enough lifting options to work your whole body? We'll see.

I have been working out here for years and enjoy the small, locally owned and run gym. It doesn't have everything a huge gym has but it has somethings even smaller gyms don't like free classes and punching bags. The employees are always nice and welcoming.

Just got off the phone with Greg to cancel my membership unfortunately. This is no fault or reason of the gym. I appreciate the courtesy of the staff as well as the cleanliness and gym availability. I will be back when thing are better. Thank you open gym.

I am not a fan of going to the gym but this is the best!! The trainers are great, staff is friendly and all around an awesome feel good place. I highly recommend this to anyone who isn't into the typical "meat market, mirrors everywhere and intimidation."

I love the atmosphere. Everyone is there with the same goal of bettering themselves. All the employees and trainers are so kind and know you by name. I've been to many other gyms, but the Open Gym definitely feels like home! Keep up the good work!

Very good gym, it's small but has everything you need to get a good burn just like the other big guns but without people talking for hrs on the same bench. I just wish they had one in the west side closer to Montano and Coors because I hate Define

This is the gym I go all the time and it’s just grate, the people that work here are so nice and polite , you don’t feel uncomfortable or anything because even the people that go to that gym ;they are just focused on there gains and nothing else.

This gym is awesome it's smaller than the one I went to before but the staff is friendly at all hours of the day. They have traditional weights and cardio but what sets this gym apart I'd they have boxing equipment! It's a lot of fun to use!

I switched to Defined Fitness from this gym because I switched jobs and Defined was closer... I regret the switch though! Everything about The Open Gym was better - I should have just sucked up the commute. Don't make the mistake I did!

A perfectly clean and friendly place to get your workout done. The staff is very nice and helpful. The gym is not the most spacey but it has enough machines and weights to get a workout done. I would highly recommend this gym.

Great gym! Very clean! The staff for the most part is legit. There is one dude who creeps me out a bit so I keep an eyes out for that employee and leave right when he gets there. But I love this place!

I love this gym and it's open 24/7! Great place to workout in Albuquerque with a very nice vibe. No reason to go to over crowded franchise fitness centers that will feed you pizza. Eeeek!

Pictures online show more equipment. Gym is very small. Hardly any free weights. Machines they do have are not good equipment. Rude, disrespectful people. Not friendly at at all.
