Update **** Checking in a month later. I think this is a “pay for diploma” kinda school. More like a daycare possibly? My son is bored every single day, not challenged. He knows all of the teachers interpersonal drama and spends wayyyyy too much time on the phone. We voiced our concerns to ward, and he threw a fit like a toddler and ripped my son out of class. Here I am on a Thursday with a giant unexpected disruption to my anxiety ridden kids life without a plan. Thanks plaza academy. Hard to feel like you’re not just there for the money. ******** original ******* We just started here, but so far we (parents and gifted 11th grader) are impressed. A blended family coming from rural-red small town high — it’s a good dose of diversity. They seem to really be here for the kids. Will update. The school supply list might be a joke though. *shrugs*

The plaza Academy is the best school in the history of the universe and saved my life. It is classified as a research Institution and was helped founded by what is considered the highest decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and a $7,000 research Grant from the University of Kansas. They specialize in helping children who learn on both sides of the outside of the bell curve. They're a charity organization that runs on donations. But if you have a child that is having a lot of trouble at school I know someone who can help.

Kids are ALLOWED to cute. Not given lunches not can you sign up for free or reduced. Kids ALLOWED to leave campus at will... Dangerous to say the least.

I graduated in 1995 and have visited this school a couple of years ago . Kip was my teacher . Miss the good times and the great learning .
