Everyone I know loves saucy sausage, but I hate the way they make omelettes. They make the egg into an omelette and then add the fillings after. So I received a flat fried egg with bacon and cheese sandwiched inside like a taco. That's not an omelette. Paninis are good though bit stingy on the cheese though. More

Ordered a breakfast with fried tomato, gave me uncooked chopped tomatoes instead. I asked for it to be changed for the fried tomatoes as requested. When paying they charged me for both the fried tomatoes and uncooked tomatoes that I didn't ask for. You shouldn't charge customers for your mistakes! More

Food was served hot, tasty and service was great. I ordered a quarter pounder and a coke and coke came in about 1min and burger took slightly less than 10mins. The staff here are lovely. There is decoration and music making the atmosphere feel fun, it is also quiet making it a nice place to eat. More

Food wise this cafe is the bomb. Cant fault the food. Given 4 stars for the lack of consistency with staff service, one day we have a brilliant server, next day it feels like we have stepped in a graveyard. Nevertheless we still enjoy the food but definitely looking for a warmer welcome.

Lentil soup was far too spicy, impossible to eat, I had to return it. Jacket potato with chicken filling on the top wasn't tasty and salad with it was so basic, tiny portion, and made from the cheapest ever type of tomato. Coffee was just ok. I will not come back. More

I've been going to saucy sausage for about a year now and they always get it right. Great breakfast always comes hot and they don't make you wait a year for it. A simple full English which is done well every time. And the staff are always friendly.

Great food, amazing staff. The only reason 4 stars is they have the Mastercard symbol on the door but do not accept card - not a problem because there is a cash point by the door. Just bear in mind if visiting... If in the area, I'll be back!

After being a regular customer at the saucy sausage café I was sorely disappointed when I was treated to what I can only describe a very bad experience with some very disgusting food.. Normally I would visit the café for breakfast and have

It was like a clip from trainspotting, the one when he wanted the toilet! With only seconds to spare I stumbled into the place "toilet toilet" cor blimey that could have been messy. I bought a take away tea and thanked him. I later went in

The food quality was about what I expected from the outside - not great, too greasy for me to finish my whole breakfast. But the prices were pretty extreme in my opinion. Cost me about £9 to get an English breakfast with extra hash browns

Love it here! Always friendly and service with a smile Been coming here since my kiddies were little after the school run with a few of the mums for brekkie and a chat. If you want nice food and friendly atmosphere ...its here! …

A hidden gem in Addiscombe, the place is clean, well presented and staff are so friendly. They really do anything to cater for your needs. Food always consistently good and great value. Never a bad meal here and guaranteed value. More

Our favourite place to eat in Addiscombe. We've been coming here for a while and every single time we've been very happy with the food (generous portions) and service, very friendly. Here's a picture of the Spanish omelette. More

Went there last week for an English breakfast. Lovely cafe, friendly staff and decent food for the cost. Only gripe is that it’s cash only which we weren’t aware of until we saw a small sign by the cash till when paying.

Great little cafe..... we had a great time there...the owner allowed us to bring our own sandwiches from cross the street... sat down with us and chatted a while, made us feel very welcome... great London experience!

  • Dani Mukusha

Almost hidden and nearly missed. The food was really good with reasonable sized portions well balanced on a plate. The staff are both friendly and prompt and ensure food is cooked to your liking.

  • Rachel Malone

Absolutely lovely little cafe! After a bad experience in the tram stop cafe with the staff (not their food) my family and I decided to walk down to Saucy Sausage where as always they didn't

  • Kay A

Food was nice, customer service not too great as she couldn't understand me on the phone properly. Also the tea took me straight back to the jail house, wouldn't recommend the tea.

Exactly what you want out of a cafe! We order five breakfasts all slightly different, they were perfect, very tasty, speedy and served with a smile - just remember cash only! More

"The builder's breakfast" in the mornings (7am-9am, Mon to Friday) is brilliant and very good value. Nice place, friendly staff and good food too. Recommend.

Very expensive for a couple of breakfasts with a few drinks to be honest. But the fried breakfast was nice...not swimming in oil and a decent portion. More
