Just wanted to leave a 5-star review to highlight the exemplary customer service I received this weekend at this Shoe Company location! I ordered a pair of shoes online during the lockdown, but they weren't the right fit. I then had to wait 2 months to return them to a store. On my only afternoon off in the week, I ran to this location to try to finally get my money back and ended up having one of those awful days where nothing would go right! My PRESTO card wouldn't work and then I was stuck on a 2+ hour TTC journey due to subway closures. I literally JUST made it to the store before closing time, to find that the doors were locked and that there was a sign in the window stating that they had served their last customer. After such a stressful adventure to get to the store, I called their number and Jayrell, an incredibly kind sales rep, was nice enough to let me enter the store and finally return my item. To top it off, one of the ladies at the store complimented my makeup! Examples like this are what great customer service is all about! Thanks so much to Jayrell and the rest of the staff for turning such a stressful experience into a positive one, it was appreciated so much.

It has been too long since I have bought from the Shoe Company. I have been buying shoes from the Shoe Company for years. I have bought casual, dress, and name-brand running shoes. I have learned to be patient and take my time to look around. People love to hide stock. You can't blame them. The pricing is way more affordable. Especially when it's discounted. It's like a pirate treasure hunt. I never know what I will find. Or, where. I drag my friends and family into your stores. They always buy. They love your stores. They are shocked at the pricing. The styles. Are all awesome. I found out on December 23rd, my daughter wanted a pair of Converse All-Stars for Christmas. You were the only people who had a size 8 woman. A big shout out to Santa's helpers for being there during a wicked snowstorm. Essentially, you helped save Christmas. My daughter is ecstatic with her new Converse. There is a vast selection of shoes, and it's basically self-serve which is great that we don't have to wait for someone to bring shoes. Service is a hit or miss, slow, and inflexible. They don't make matters easy for the customer that I had a terrible headache after dealing with them. When they see us standing at the checkout, they don't serve us right away so we have to hail them down. It is disturbing how employees talk between themselves in another language while serving us, that we don't know what is happening. If there are remarks they don't wish us to know, they should speak it after we leave the store. They don't tell us in advance that unused shoe care products are final sale nor is it posted anywhere in the store, and it is not stated on the receipt or website--but the receipt does say unworn merchandise is returnable. They are nondisclosing about store return policies "before" you buy a product.

I have been a regular customer for years. After my experience today I will not return. There was a homeless man a few doors up the street with no shoes. He was barefoot and he had been walking for some time without shoes as reflected by the bottom of his feet. I went in to the store to ask if they had any shoes that they could donate explaining the man’s situation. No was the answer. I pointed to the bin full of shoes that had been kindly donated by others as promoted for their soles for souls campaign and asked if he could have a pair from there. I was told no again, that they were shipped out of country. I said but there is a homeless man in need outside of your door. Silence. I left after having received scowling faces from the two people working there. Very disheartening.

I've been shopping in this store for years. This location (Yonge-Eglinton) is especially good if you're looking for sports shoes/sneakers/hiking boots. There is usually a good selection and many sizes are available. Staff is friendly and attentive, but in the same time they give you a lot of space. you can browse and try on several sizes yourself, as all the boxes in the area accessible for the customers, so it's not like somebody has to run for each pair for you. It is usually a good idea to shop early in the season - for example now (June 24th) most of the sandals are sold out, and some models have a very few sizes left, but if you went there a few months ago, they were fully stocked. There is also a separate section with "last of the kind" with bargain prices.

I got to the Yonge & Eglinton store at 9:58. It's 10:30 and the store is not open yet! Sat hours are 10 to 6. The supervisor herself got here at 10:12. Now she is standing in front of the door waiting for another employee to come so she can open the door...meanwhile 3 customers were turned away. What kind of management is running this store and district?! It is now 11:19 and the store is still closed! How do these people still have jobs? Do these employees not understand they should appreciate the fact that they're employed? It's really tough out there... And to the management team: what an awful job you're doing hiring and keeping lazy and irresponsible employees.

What I liked about this store in the past was that they would immediately acknowledge your presence when you entered the store and offered their service. Yesterday was different - my first visit in more than 4 years. No such acknowledgement; finally I had to go to the cash desk, where the employee was busy with something, and ask her if I could get some assistance when she had a moment. Five minutes later she appeared. There was another employee busy with something, but no offer of help from her either. I managed to buy a pair of Sketchers that I liked but the quality of the service was disappointing.

Great Customer Service. Went in there with my son, who wears a size 14 -- a size that not many shoe stores carry. The person waiting on us called another store to see if it was in stock and asked them to hold that pair until end of business day the next day. After a truly awful experience at SportChek, it was REALLY nice to have someone pay attention and take the two minutes to help us out. Have shopped there many times, and every time I do, I'm reminded why: great staff, great customer service, great prices.

The Shoe Company at Eglinton has got a variety of shoes for men, women and kids. And if you have got patience then you will struck a good deal too. This has got styles in almost all sizes and even you can request for your size too. I bought Cole Haan sandals at almost 30% discount and a pair of men's formal shoes at an amazing 80%. They have got good range of boots to fit your requirements. I would suggest to keep an eye on the deals because if it's your day then you might get too lucky!

I called and had them put a pair of boots aside for me and then drove all the way from Scarborough to get them. When I arrived they were never set aside and they couldn't find them. Then the guy starts making up excuses like he tried to call me back (he didn't), the phone doesn't let him dial out (it does), and someone else bought them while he walked to the shelf (they were still showing in the system). Really poor service compounded by lack of accountability.

Bought some shoes here on the weekend. It's always weird to shop during the pandemic, because you can't really interact with anyone. The staff was friendly but distant. Nobody helped us but that was fine, we got what we wanted, which were nice shoes at a very good price. It was a bit confusing because the sticker price had a discount on it, but we weren't sure if the sticker price included that discount or not. (It did not).

I was looking for short dress boots for work and stopped in here because it looked like they had a good selection. I ended up getting a beautiful pair of Timberlands and I got Clark slippers as well. I had to go back the next day because my discount was fully applied but the manager was extremely sorry so I was happy and love my boots!

If you're looking for women's, men's or children's footwear at Yonge & Eglinton this Shoe Company location always has a bigger range of sizes than other shoe stores in the area and they consistently have sale and clearance items. They offer footwear for every season as well as accessories and handbags, that also often go on sale.

It took them five days to process a store pickup. Compared to other similar business, this is not acceptable. Maybe that's what you get when relying with the worst-known courier there is: Purolator. Also their discounts has too many terms and conditions, where in the end customers rather buy items for a full price.

I placed an order. They took the money from my account. Then informed me that one pair of shoes would have to be cancelled because they were not in stock. Fine, yet wont give me a refund or even store credit. This company will not answer my emails , comments or any form of communication from me.theifs that's all.

I left my keys in the store before close and Lisa was more than helpful about the situation. She had left a detailed note on the front door to ensure I still had a stress free evening without my keys! She is a fantastic employee and a a great neighbour to have in the area!! Thank you so much Lisa!

It was such a great experience! At first I did not want to sign up,but if you have any account here,their promotions are great ,also the discount that you will get in your account too!! Their shoes are very comfortable I highly recommend this place!

One of the employees purposely removes the shoes from the shelf that are on sales, and she is not shameful to do it in front of customers! This is unacceptable and I will never come to this location to buy shoes. Rate zero if provided the option

I order shoes through the online DSW outlet. The prices are very competitive and the staff at the store is always extremely polite and helpful. One woman helped me return a pair of shoes that didn't fit. Would definitely return

Great selection of shoes and boots and a convenient location. It's a little small inside and the aisles are a little tight to get through but the staff member that helped me was super helpful, sweet, and friendly.

Very clean, wonderfully nice and inviting staff. Isles can get a bit cramped but that's the take away when they have that much product, clearance is section in the back!
