After my experience at this store purchasing a Sony bluetooth speaker that was defective this will be my last transaction through the Source. After asking the sales person to help me find a product, he was helpful landing on the Sony "SRS-HG1" bluetooth speaker. I actually asked about returns as the product was extremely expensive for similar products on the market and wanted to try it out to be sure and was told with the receipt I had 30 days. My biggest mistake was not doing the proper research on the product, because after researching, this speaker was not a good product for the price. It then ceased to work little after only a month, it wouldn't turn on and when I went to return the product they refused to return it because I did not have the box. I actually had the receipt and the product looks brand new and has barely been used but was defective. They were very brief and refused to do anything about the product insisting I speak to Sony. When asked why the box is so important the reply was that Sony, the manufacturer would not accept the product back from the Source without the box. However, after speaking with two representatives at Sony a supervisor informed be that this was simply not true. Perhaps they got their wires crossed, but as a young student who chose to splurge to buy a nicer bluetooth speaker, this will be my last interaction with this location and this company in general. Quite frankly, if a company chooses to treat their customers this way, why deal with them? They're a dime a dozen and with service like this I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of business in a couple years. I'd much prefer dealing with the friendly customer service oriented company Amazon or Apple, who despite ridiculous policies they put their customers first period.

We live in a time when customer service is thought to be dead. It isn't, you just have to shop at the right place, and let me tell you - this location *is* the right place. I live 2 hours away from Kingston and had to drive there two days in a row to deal with my Rogers cell phone which never got solved. I was frustrated and felt defeated when I walked into The Source to seek advice from an employee named Jacob. This young man made miracles happen for me and totally saved me from driving to Kingston again on Monday. This man and his manager were both amazingly friendly, helpful and impressive with their knowledge of products. As a matter of fact, Jacob was so helpful that I ended up cancelling my service with Rogers and got a much better phone, plan and deal through him. The customer service I received was legendary and I was so impressed that I bought a bag full of stuff while I was able to have an expert walk me through what I needed to meet my Youtube streaming needs. I absolutely can't say enough positive things about this store and it's employees. The service was straight out of the 1980's... remember the good old days where they used to clean our windows and check our oil while pumping our gas? Remember when grocery stores had cashiers that carefully packed your items into free bags before helping take them out to your car? Yes, the good old days where "customer service" actually meant something and employees truly cared... well, that's the level of service you will receive at this location. Please, whatever it takes, do not let Jacob leave, ever, he is amazing at his job and I can hardly wait until I need something to see him again. 10/10. I wish there was more I could do for him because a good review just doesn't seem like enough.

We had the experience of a lifetime at the 945 Gardiner’s Road in location in Kingston, Ontario. We met and were completely humbled by your employee, Jocelyn Switzer. We are Veterans On Wheels (VOW) and I’m going to paste a copy of the post my wife did after we left on our organizations Facebook page. VOW had gone mobile and headed to Kingston after Jan, a WW2 veteran’s daughter, Cindy Burton, from PEI reached out to us that her fathers home was not safe and had tripping hazards etc. she had already paid a scam repairman to leave holes in the floor, etc. “Scott and I have struggled here the last few minutes to try and come up with the words to explain an experience we had this evening. It was the end of our first day here. Jan’s daughter, Cindy Burton, wanted a tablet for her dad so they could communicate. Cindy had ordered one and had never received it in her hands. We decided we would get one and install it for Cindy. So we stopped at The Source store to buy one and asked at the till if they had any veteran discount, etc and told them our story while we were chatting. At the end I went to pay and this amazing lady said she paid out of her own pocket. I couldn’t believe it. Scott and I were overwhelmed with her kindness. The picture below is a lady we have known for only 5 minutes in our entire 50 plus years BUT has impacted us profoundly. THANK YOU ❤️❤️” The entire VOW team, Jan and Cindy are forever grateful to Jocelyn. She showed us all that kindness and generosity has an huge impact so many people. THANK YOU SO MUCH JOCELYN!

In this fast moving world of ours people are very quick to complain about a negative experience, but seldom do they take the time to compliment a job well done. This e-mail has to do with the latter. Fortunately, today I had the opportunity to meet David Shuter (Store Manager). I am a senior who is not tech savvy by any means. I came into the Source with my cell phone which my cat knocked into the dish water. To say the least I was distraught. Thank goodness David was there willing to go beyond his call of duty and help me in every way possible. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and polite. David was able to restore all the information from my water logged phone to my new phone. While he was doing this he kept a positive attitude and used his wonderful sense of humor which certainly relieved my tension. It took a very long time for all the downloads so David suggested I leave, have a coffee, relax and return within an hour. When I returned everything was completed, I was thrilled. It is without hesitation or reservation that I commend the Source for hiring such a caring, knowledgeable, understanding and tech savvy individual. I went into this fine establishment for help with my computer storage. Myself, being a novice and having no prior experience with computer related stuff. Jacob helped me and walked me through various processes for things of this matter. He was very professional and incredibly knowledgeable in his field. I applaud that fine fellow for being such a great overall guy and very helpful in matters like this. To the management of The Source in the Cataraqui Center located in Kingston Ontario, Canada.. Jacob deserves a promotion OR a raise OR BOTH!!! Jacob could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge and scammed me. However, he was very helpful and sincere. Not very happy with customer service. I purchased a pair of headphones for my pre teen for Christmas. I discussed different ones with the sales person at the time. Not once did anyone mention to my that if the box was opened that I could not return them. Well guess what , my pre teen did not like them. I was going to return them and get different ones that he did like. But I can't return them, even though he did not even put them in his ear because the box was opened... So I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere for new headphones. I don't think I will return to The Source in the future. Had the sales person been up front with me, I may have a different opinion.

Beyond happy with my experience. Went in window shopping for a new tablet. It was cheaper than Walmarts current sale which was amazing, upgraded my phone and got a free screen protector !! David the manager was so helpful and cheerful. He explained that he was having a very awful day in general, yet I’d never know if he hadn’t told me. He was the happiest guy and even stayed 2 hours after close to help me out. I felt so bad it took that long but he didn’t seem to mind. Definitely going there for my next tech item, can’t beat the service or prices !! Thanks again David!

The employee that was helping us was very knowledgeable and polite and he did a very good in assisting us to find what we were looking for. However while we were cashing out the store manager became very rude and unprofessional towards the employee assisting us, and to top it all off she was on the phone so whoever she was talking to on the phone and the three employees along with all the customers in the store heard her. Thus is not the first time I have seen this behaviour from this manager. The district manager has to do something about her.

Went in yesterday to pick up a copy of the new assassins creed mirage and they refused to sell it. at first i said id like to pick up a copy and they instantly didnt even know what the game was and said they didnt have it in stock. I then showed them online that it said it was available for pick up at their store and they went to go check in the back. They then came out and said they can not sell it to me and would not give an explanation why. Went somewhere else to buy the product.

Great customer service! Always very kind and lovely people whenever I go in! I recently got the IShieldz phone glass protector through limited warranty and being someone who doesn't trust myself to do a good job of applying it, I went into the source and asked them if they would be able to help me apply it despite not buying it within store, and they were willing to do it for me, so I greatly appreciated it! Overall, good company and good experiences :)

I have been to this location several times since moving to Kingston. They have gone above and beyond in assisting me from buying Christmas gifts, to upgrading celular service, and even adding home internet services (all thru Bell). Staff is always friendly, attentive, and willing to assist clients. I will keep going back to this specific store for anything related to my mobile and home internet services. Can't recommend them enough!

While browsing Zaph kindly came up and asked me if I needed any assistance. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the product offerings within the store and felt inclined to purchase a UE speaker as per his recommendation. Worst experience i have ever seen. They are very rude to their customer when someone tried to exchange something. Moreover, totally bad impact on me as well as my friend. I advice you to not to go any store of source, especially cataraqui centre, because they don't have manner how to talk to their customers. I recently went in there to purchase an adapter for my laptop. It took a bit of explanation to get to what I needed but we figured it out and I got it at an amazing price. The only downside is the constant inquiry about my phone plan and internet provider. I realize they are required to ask this and it is no reflection on the employees themselves, but on the company.

Very bad service experienced ever. Didn’t provide enough information regarding the product at time of purchasing. When, went to return the product only because it wasn’t fit me, their polite and convincing selling behaviour turned into rude and stubborn behaviour.
