Very poor massage session today. The male massage therapist assigned to me today has poor communication skills and doesn't seem to understand English. I was on time, waiting in the relaxation room but ended up losing out 6 minutes because of his poor communication and poor English skills. At the beginning he took me to an area, told me to go in. There were 3 doors I wasn't sure which one to go in, one was toilet door, one was a nail treatment room and one was a massage room. I went to the massage room and waited there. No one came in. I came out and saw the male therapist again saying no therapist was in the room. He then took me to the toilet. I was like no I don't need to go to the toilet. He responded "that's fine". Then he took me to the treatment room, asked me to get changed and lie dow on my stomach. Took me 10s to do so. When he knocked the door, i said "I am done". He didn't come in, few mins later knocked again. I said very loudly: "I AM DONE". He didn't come in. Then few mins later knocked again. I said even louder : "I am done and I am ready ". Now he came in. During the entire massage session I constantly asked him to increase the pressure and more than 10 times I said I prefer very strong pressure please. Yet instructions were not followed. No questions were asked at the beginning regarding massage pressure or which part I wanted to focus on. He spent about 40-45 mins on arms and legs. I told him to do the back and neck yet he still tried to reach out to my arms until I told him to leave the arms and focus on my stiff neck. A complete waste of time and money. The spa facilities are good, but very poor experience with their therapist. Won't be back
we had a horrible birthday experience at the spa where the staff never bothered to call me to confirm booking with me despite many emails i sent them, we turned up to the spa and they told us that dates were confused so treatments were booked for us. they told us that we can have a afternoon tea and use the facilities and come back another day for the treatment, we had the afternoon tea with dried sandwiches and no cupcake looking like cake to blow a candle for my birthday. it felt like we went there to eat & have a shower and leave. i paid £240 for the 2 of us and booked to have the treatments for another day but then lost trust & interest to go back for the treatment in case they ruined the booked date again and every time i emailed the spa to confirm the date different staff would respond to my email to say that i am not allowed to use the facilities when i come back to have the treatments and i had to keep reminding them that i was promised that i could use the facilities as promised by a staff. i emailed them and asked for a refund for the treatment we didn't have, i was first promised £120+ of the £240 i paid and then rude careless staff like Julia & David only offered £44. they never cared about escalating my complaint, they told me that they do not have a customer service department, i couldn't speak to anyone senior, every time i called the line would be connected to a international country where staff couldn't do anything. so i basically got conned and paid £196 for 2 people to have dry sandwiches for a afternoon tea in a hotel with careless & unprofessional staff; highly not recommended !!!
We planned a spa day for our friends birthday which was booked by her husband through Treatwell. This was one of the first issues as their system didn’t reflect the payment that had already taken place with Treatwell and had asked us all to pay yet again. We then had to phone the husband to iron this out but already from the onset it felt disjointed in the experience. The facilities were good enough but it didn’t seem big enough for the amount of people they had booked and we struggled to find a place to sit and even space in the jacuzzi because the large pool was lukewarm and not pleasant on a cold day. The treatments were ok but we all had quite a different experience and the customer service isn’t consistent with what you would expect from a London spa. The bathroom facilities were another fail with the showers clogged up with hair and stench coming from the drains. For the amount of people they take in they only had two showers and had to queue. Our dinner was quite pleasant at least the only downside was that they had forgotten to include an additional welcome drink which was prearranged with my friends husband and even to the end we just felt like the experience was let down by their processes internally. I would recommend finding another spa rather something that has that personal touch.
I had visited this spa yesterday, as a present for my birthday, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised there is such a little hidden gem hidden in the area. Beautiful spa and facilities! I was booked in with Sophia for a 30min massage followed by a 30min facial. Sophia is the sweetest! Very professional and made me feel completely comfortable. Let me just say! She is very knowledgeable! I had told her about my problem skin, and she had went out of her way to advise me on what do and what not to do, even told me what herbs would be good for me! I have not had someone to talk to me in-depth about my skin at a facial before. This would have been 5 stars, had it not been for me to overhear the other therapists talking badly about Sophia. It made for a very awkward environment. Sophia was running just a few minutes late, which is absolutely fine, as she had already spoken to me prior to me going into the room explaining that the lady before had mobility issues, so she was a bit late to clean up the room. (It happens, I'm not a monster, I can wait for 3minutes). But the behaviour from the other girls is not acceptable at all. It is not okay to bad mouth a colleague at all, let alone in front of a client.
Booked a spa day online for four people - booking system was a bit confusing but after booking I had a lovely email from reception arranging to move treatment times to make it more convenient. The spa itself is set within a large hotel and was very well apportioned and immaculate. Despite being off a busy lobby it is relaxing from the moment you step in and we were well taken care of from the start. The treatments in our package were a hot stone massage and facial both of which were performed well and very relaxing with access to a post-treatment relaxation lounge with water, tea and fruit. Spa facilities include a decent sized pool, relaxation pool (not quite a jacuzzi but similar features), sauna and steam room. The changing rooms were clean and spacious with everything you need including hair dryers, shampoo and towels. My only reason for not giving five stars is there were a few things that could have been maintained better - many of the lockers didn’t work, the relaxation pool was closed for a large part of our visit due to a maintenance issue, and the pool ladder was broken. We still had a great time and would go back but it would be good to have stronger maintenance for the flaws.
I booked for a big birthday celebration for 6 people. Less than 24 hours before I was told the jacuzzi was not available. This was less than 24 hours, the spa were aware it was not working much earlier and decided not to tell me, giving me no opportunity to cancel! The massage was very painful I was left in pain for a month after and had to start physio. The lockers did not work and 2 occasions I could not open it. The spa itself was very dirty and was not regularly cleaned, the chairs in the pool area were soaked through. The afternoon tea was not great, it took 1 hour to get the non alcoholic cocktails and I had to go the the bar upstairs to order it myself. Had I known there was no jacuzzi, it would be soo dirty and the massage painful I would NOT have booked! My birthday was completely ruined! I raised the issues to the spa who informed me they would welcome us all back to make up for it. On booking I was told we would only get spa access. This is a complete scam. They gave me no opportunity to cancel, ruined my birthday and then misled me a second time by only giving spa access when at the time I was told I was get the full experience I paid for!
I had CND pedicure and manicure at the spa yesterday. The environment was acceptable. Clean and no smell. But the setup is odd. My feet do not have space to lay flat for the led light. I need to hand my feet in the edge of the foot tub thing. The pedicure do not come with the foot spa. Not sure what is the use of that foot tub. What really deduct the marks are the quality of the pedicure and manicure. The sharp of the pedicure was really ugly. The lady May want to bring my feet but I did pedicure for more than 20 times. This is the most terrible one. Plus she didn’t ask me if I want round or square shape at all. My manicure also, I had to specify that to her. She really seems to be not trained. The photo I uploaded also showed the uneven gel on my nails. Plus she didn’t clean my nails with nail polish remover and left my fingers tips super sticky. Plus she did not do a finally file on the edges. Basically this is the worst manicure n pedicure I ever had. The last bit is.. she was looking at her phone a few times before she finished. I still keep it as three star as I had a great massage here before. Just avoid the pedicure / manicure here.
This is a lovely relaxing spa. The pool is small and in rush hour you will be among many in the jacuzzi and saunas, however the treatment rooms are peaceful and extremely stylish. They give you fluffy robes and flip flops to move around in, or if you are staying at the hotel you can just use the robes from your room. I had a 30 min neck and shoulder massage which was excellent. The changing rooms are really well appointed with showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are dressing rooms with doors if you are shy. Swimming costume spinners will remove most of the water from your swimsuit. Plenty of hairdryers and mirrors for makeup etc. all scrupulously clean. I highly recommend, especially if staying at the hotel, but do book well in advance!
I entered the spa with high expectations since it’s quite expensive. The staff were rude from the first hello, there was no smile or warm welcome. I asked if I could push back the time of my treatment and before I could finish my sentence another lady jumped in and completely dismissed my question without even checking their availability. The staff then began whispering about me and staring at me which made me feel even more uncomfortable. The treatment itself was extremely rushed And I felt like they didn’t give the experience I was expecting. They also didn’t offer me a robe like everybody else. I will not be coming back or recommending to friends or family. Overall a bad experience.
If you're looking to step into a world of 'chill and serenity, this is where you want to go. As soon as you step into the facility, it's easy to leave all your cares behind and just be relaxed. Lovely staff toowho do their best to accommodate your needs. Only issue is maintenance and repairs of the facilities; when I went last time, the ice fountain wasn't working, this time it was the ice fountain and the jacuzzi. Need to get a better handle on repairs so as to build customer confidence in services and maintain a feeling of luxuriousness.
Very bad experiences with the spa. We were late for 3min they told us to sit down fill in a form and 10min later they told us they can’t do it as we’re late for 10min…if you can’t offer service why didn’t you tell us when we arrived or at least tell us to fill in the form quickly we can literally do that in 30 seconds? And why you schedule your clients so full not even 10min buffer between each client? Even restaurants reserve tables for 15min and spa means to let people relax… serious problems with management and staff.
Booked this spa after a recommendation from a friend for my Mums 50th. Paid for treatments and for the use of spa facilities. My Mum had an awful experience with rude staff, wasn’t offered a robe/slippers, didn’t use the facilities that I paid for neither. Her massage was rushed. When I reported this to the manager she herself was rude over the phone and said she would get back to me after 2/3 days. Not professional at all. Not happy with the service considering this is a 4.5*.
Very luxurious feel in the hotel lobby and at the spa as well. Very good service at reception and spacious lounge where you can drink tea and relax before and after your treatment. The lights are dimmed for a deeper feel of relaxation, much appreciated. I took an aromatherapy massage and it was so pleasant I was floating afterwards, feeling 100% calm and relaxed. I am already booked for another treatment next month. I highly recommend
Very Nice place very clean. We got upgraded on arrival, which is a plus. Great location for the o2 arena. Breakfast in the morning was tasty. The spa was clean, and staff were inviting. I would give 5 stars, but due to my history of visiting many hotels, I have experienced better for the cost. That being said, I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice and comfortable stay in a conveniently placed hotel in Greenwich.
Lovely experience, both the massage and the relaxing areas. There was a programmed maintenance during our spa day, which affected a little the experience (-1 star). I wish people were more considerate and talk quietly instead of screaming, if you are reading this and you want to book, please consider there are other people that want to relax and your loud voice is not particularly welcome. We will go again for sure
Very disappointed for the money I paid !! Low service.. jacuzzi/ sauna out of order ! Restaurants empty and they claimed they're full!!! Only gd thing was room was clean ! Also they hit my car inside the parking lot and security said they can’t provide any cctv footage of who hit my car!!!! I have to go through police! And no win no fee claim!! I’m really disappointed..
An absolutely fabulous spa experience. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the cosy relaxation room. The teas and cucumberwater were a nice touch, but the Swedish massage was the absolute highlight. The masseuse was extremely courteous and polite and receptive to feedback about pressure e.t.c. In all it was a lovely spa day and we will certainly be back.
So good, loved the massage and the relaxation room. The swimming pool was nice with a steam, sauna and a jacuzzi aswell and one of those strong shower jets in the jacuzzi. We didn't stay for the coffee and pastries though. Slippers and robe provided. Shower rooms are clean with changing room facilities
Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful facilities and a really relaxing atmosphere. You need bring nothing but yourself (and your credit card). The pool and relaxation pool are sparkling. Oria gave me a wonderful massage which I really needed. I finished up with a herbal tea and left feeling revived.
Lovely large pool and relaxation area with Jacuzzi and in water loungers. Great facilities inc. the steam room and sauna. We didn’t have time for a treatment but the facilities available were perfect winding down after a busy day sightseeing and shopping.
I booked a spa deal through spa break - really relaxing experience. Massage was really good. The complimentary coffee and pastries were delicious. The hot chocolate was one of the best ones I’ve had. Will be coming back again for the whole spa experience.
Had a massage here once - despite the beautiful settings was left a bit underwhelmed. Pressure was really light despite mentioning several times she could be firmer. Would have been nice to get a choice of oils etc just to make it feel a bit more special.
We had a relaxing time at the spa. The massage was wonderful. We had afternoon tea, the staff were lovely. Aleena was very friendly and attentive, we couldn't of asked for better service. The food was very good, some a little sweet for us.
I loved the Swedish massage I had. Very nice and relaxing The environment is clean, lovely and welcoming. Sauna and steam rooms were really hot and refreshing. Communication by email was great. This experience was my best birthday gift.
This is one of my go to spas in London. Absolutely loved my detox experience, it included a body exfoliation, a wrap and a full body massage with head massage. Orla was wonderful! I hope to have her next time I go to the spa.
The treatment itself and the treatment area were lovely, but so many things in the pool area were broken and the pool was much colder than advertised.
Great location, really tasty food in the restaurant, superior service. I liked hydromassage features, steam room and ice dispenser at the pool area
Facilitate really nice plus good location but the coffee and pastries was not good . Coffee never came and pastries was so cold I didn't eat it .
We had a great afternoon at the spa. First a lovely swim and sauna session and then a fantastic Swedish massage by Jeremiah and Michaela.
A really modern, clean, relaxing spa. The three of us had Afternoon Tea which was cute then facials and day spa use. Would recommend.
Stayed at the hotel intercontinental and found this place for a massage. Lovely place to relax, place is clean and service was fine
What a lovely day, such a beautiful time, amazing staff, enjoyed a fantastic facial & massage after the pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Excellent Spa with great pool, sauna and steam room. My treatment was one of the best i have ever had, would return for sure.
Amazing place and spa facilities, professional staff and great customer service. Definitely will visit this place once again
Excellent spa day. Would come here again! Amazon massage. What more could one want? Good price too! Definitely worth it
The Thames look dirty and the steps are very steep when trying to get to the urber boats, but very scenic....
Loving it. Been many times for treatments or simple swim/sauna. Clean and beautiful. At times can get busy.
Excellent place to chill, relax and enjoy having a massage on a spa day with good food
Lovely staff who make the whole experience easy. Very clean and relaxing facilities.
So far it looks promising. I am due to go there in July, so we will see.
Very relaxing and calming. I would definitely come back.
Great facilities, steam room, sauna and pool all great
