Went for the first time for a concert (Boy Golden) and this was an amazing venue. Arrived right on time (ticket says show starts at 8) and there was a bunch of other people around but no lineup just easy straight in, got a wristband after our ticket is scanned for easy in and out and every staff member we encountered was very nice and happy to help. Bartenders were educated, quick, and very nice with next to no lineups pure efficiency! The concert was great, no seats but able to get right up close to the stage and awesome acoustics/sound quality. The bar downstairs shares a bathroom with the Starlite Room and it’s open, clean, and gender neutral. Cheap paid parking right around the corner as well. Definitely planning on going again!

Coming from Calgary to see a concert here, it was honestly an amazing surprise. When I was there on a Friday night, there was a DJ down in the bar playing pretty hard EDM, and it was an absolute blast. The venue was super cool and unique and the setup for the concert was awesome. When I was there they were using extended bass speakers, I could feel this bass in my soul. Next time I'm back in Edmonton I'd come here just for the vibes. We don't have anything like it in Calgary, an absolute blast.

No complaints with the venue itself, fairly priced and good space for shows, I just feel rather uncomfortable with the bathroom setup. While I completely understand gender neutral bathrooms, there should also be gendered bathrooms, especially for women. The metal community is unfortunately notorious for predators and creeps, and women need a safe place to go at these shows. Having only gender neutral bathrooms can make women feel very unsafe. A good compromise would be having a mens, womens, and gender neutral. Safety needs to be prioritized.

Had the best night I've had in a long while!!! Still buzzing from seeing Batushka & Swallow the Sun! Starlite never disappoints! The atmosphere was so perfect. ♡ And who's the blondie server upstairs?! I loved her, totally impressed by how attentive she was while dealing with multiple folks! Really tied the whole night in for me. She acknowledged me right away when I came up and served me promptly! And so fun. She fed me perogies at the next bar after hours. Who does that! Such friendly staff all around! Thank you!!! Xx

Walking into starlight, we thought it had great atmosphere! Until we met the blonde bartender.. absolute worst bartender that I have ever come across. While ordering a drink from her I felt as if I was unwelcome. Ruined the vibe for me. Upon arrival she was in a terrible mood, and had major attitude when talking to anyone. She would run out and leave the bar unattended to yell at people. Based on this experience I would not go there again.

First time there for anything. Heard about it for years. Should have gone years sooner. Great experience and awesome venue. Food and drink downstairs is very good and very reasonably priced. Variety of bands which keeps your heart pounding wanting more. Easy parking (paid but surprisingly cheap) Will be back without question

I was in an aggressive situation and a security guard named Alex got me out of the situation. My further experience at Starlite have been exceeding amazing and I’ve always felt super safe. Super happy with the service and security here, furthermore I’ve heard nothing but great things about the safety in Starlite. An amazing place to be.

Great venue, very clean washrooms!Getting through the doors is super easy as long as you have the membership and tickets from eventbrite. The staff are friendly and approachable. The venue does wear a bit on the feet due to the sloping floor. So wear comfortable shoes. The acoustics of the room echo a bit which hurts the sound a tad especially when there's a lot of drumming. Overall great experience.

Drink prices were reasonable and the sound was clear and bassy. The vibe was great but feel that was more from the festival raver crowd/community: my people and my fam jam.

I had an issue with one of the shows and how the seating was arranged and when I contacted the starlight room. They were very, very responsible and professional. And I was very pleased with how they dealt with it. So I am changing my review to give them a much better stars rating.

Last time I was there (and I am not blaming the venue, because the venue was very nice, hence the 5 stars) but whoever dj'ed for the Whale and the Wolf should be fired. They turned the music up so loud we had to leave and my buddy blew his eardrum. They must have hearing issues to not notice it was so loud everything was distorted

Great place for a concert. One downfall is that they want you to buy a membership card for the year.... they say it's to help for the alcohol license ??? Never heard of that one. But I got in being someone's guest. They have a great stage with two bar areas. The sound was ok. Overall a good place for a concert.

Went to a Taylor Swift night with a friend and had a great time! Staff were friendly and the layout was very nice! A decent amount of seating room! The long hallway to walk in is a bit off but it's well lit and busy! Felt very safe and had a good time! Will be back!

Love this venue. I've been for many events here upstairs and I absolutely love it everytime I go. They are always on the ball about getting people inside and making it an enjoyable event and I always find that if you're not consuming alcohol they give me pop and water for free which is always fantastic.

Great bar for a concert, went for a comedy show. Good atmosphere, better staff. Be aware that you'll have to pay for parking as it's in downtown, and there's a few stairs involved in getting there/finding the bathrooms.

Such an amazing venue, and was so privileged to see another live show here. Amazing staff, multiple bars and clean bathroom. Only negative was the sloped floor. I was told its to prevent people from getting crush at the front during moshing. Not worth removing A star.

The Starlite Room will forever be my favourite venue. From the slanted floor to the upper level to the killer food downstairs, it’s the best place to see a show in the city for sure.

A great live venue! Over the years this place has been called many things, and has seen a number of configurations, but the Starlite room has been Edmonton’s best concert venue for many years now, and they don’t seem to be ready to drop that title any time soon.

Hands down one of the premier venues for smaller concerts, was there last night (Oct. 14.2022) to watch IVardenspehere and Front 242, it was very good organized and great sound and very good visuals the Band projected onto the big screen on stage

I have been attending shows here for years, have always felt welcome and safe. Joseph was very helpful in a situation where I needed security to step in.They also have some fun inflatables.

I've been to the Starlight Room only twice. The first time was in March for Jump into Juno Week, which was not only a great event but it was an enjoyable experience. The whole space was open, which included a few tables with folding chairs

Went to the Starlight Room for a daytime family friendly show. This place was not set up for a bunch of families. The venue itself was fine. The info on the tickets left much to be desired. The ticket simply stated 12:00 showtime. As

Fantastic venue with great sound, staff and atmosphere! The Reverend Horton Heat with Bloodshot Bill, the Hootin Hallers and Delta Bombers were amazing to see. I'd go back to the Starlite Room in a heartbeat!

Great venue for the good stuff. We went for the last day of Purple City and saw some of the best names in darkwave and EBM. Drink proces are reasonable and parking isn't a nightmare.

A great venue in the heart of YEG, happy to have seen Jaee Bird here. Drink's are reasonably priced staff are very cool, room is fantastic - looking forward to coming back.

In my opinion. Louder does not mean good quality. On my visit, it was unnecessary loud decreasing the quality of audio. They even sell ear plugs to cover your ears. More

Really cool venue for concerts. Wasn't to impressed with the cash grab to buy their membership after purchasing a ticket already. Thought that was pretty cheeky.

Can't speak for the food but they bring in some really awesome bands! FKB and Monowhales both killed it. It was sold out but still never felt crowded!

We saw Econoline Crush and they were fantastic! Great little venue with enough character to poke a stick at. Very good beer selection as well. More
