I chose to visit The Tooth Doctor upon hearing positive recommendations in my local Facebook neighbourhood group. The clinic itself is very easy to find, and there is some parking. The office inside is clean with plenty of comfortable seating and outlets in case you need to charge your phone. In terms of accessibility, the doors are not powered, and there is a bit of a ledge you have to step or wheel up onto to get into the building. The receptionists are very friendly, and there wasn't a ton of paperwork to fill out. The examination chairs are also comfortable, and Netflix is provided in all examination areas. The dental assistants and Dr. Yoo are all very pleasant, and ready to ask questions or address concerns. They were very helpful in ensuring my insurance would cover the costs, even for the more costly procedures. I was able to have my wisdom teeth removed at a fraction of the cost I was quoted by other oral surgeons. I would absolutely recommend The Tooth Doctor to anyone looking for inexpensive but quality dental care.

None of us like going to the dentist. But my first visit to the Tooth Doctor was as about a good as an experience as one can hope for under the circumstances. I accidentally knocked an adult back molar loose. I knew it was going to have to be extracted and delayed seeking treatment. When I finally did, I chose the Tooth Doctor simply due to its close proximity to where I live. Well, fate was kind to me because I was attended to by Dr. Priscilla Wong. I have never experienced or had the good fortune of being treated by such a kind, sensitive and gentle dentist. Dr. Wong listened to me, and she explained to me what she was going to do and why. And along the way, she described what she was doing and what instruments she was using. Her assistant Tammy helped keep the mood light and even had me chuckling as my tooth was being removed. I don't think a visit to the dentist can get any better than that. Afraid of the dentist? You don't need to be.. Go see Dr. Wong at the Tooth Doctor. You'll be glad you did :)

First impressions are important and we didn't get off to a good start unfortunately. While the staff and dentist were great you can't run an office on personality alone From hearing one dentist complain about the excessive heat to the dental assistant mentioning how cramped and small the office was, they even called me in about 15 minutes late while having asked me to come early for paperwork A problem happened and while I don't blame the dentist for the problem I find that it's about how they handle problems that is very telling and unfortunately I could not wait 4 and a half days to get the problem fixed so I had to pay an emergency fee at a different office to get the problem fixed the next day as it was causing too much discomfort Problem is the new dentist didn't have a cramped office and it wasn't too hot in there so I am going to the new place from now on. 2 stars instead of 1 because he's a really nice guy but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after just one visit.

I love this place, Peter is an amazing dentist and his staff are lovely, friendly, meticulous, happy, and did I mention lovely? Comfortable, clean office... TVs at each chair... keurig machine is awesome on cold days.... Good at dealing with insurance, including multiple insurers.... and you don't have to be embarrassed going in there when you've been lazy for six or 8 months and haven't been flossing... they fix you right up and are very kind. I'd love to see them add a bionaire air purifier or something in the waiting area for that "dental office" smell... but they have some nice candles. Dr.Peter is young and energetic and thinks in a modern, holistic manner. He's happy to try new things and has experimented on himself with some of the new technologies and methods... so he knows what he's talking about.

My experience was great! I really liked the staff. They were all very kind and approachable. I liked that it was quick to book an appointment (which would take 1 month in other dentist). I had my yearly cleaning. I would say I do feel they did a very good job, which was about an hour. They also recommended how I can maximize my student plan by having my oral exam-which I did. They were able to show it to me the xray and answer all my questions. I didn't feel rushed on both experience. Other bonus: It's really easy to go here by bus which is convenient for me. It would be better if next time they could actually show me how to properly floss since they only said it verbally. I would've understood better if they made me do it and commented if was right. Overall, I would go back here. :)

My folks are in their golden years and getting them dental care at their age, with their health considerations, is a bit of a challenge. Everybody at this office from the dentists to the support staff made every effort to accommodate my parents and their special needs. Both my parents trust Dr. Yoo and that is quite an endorsement, especially mom, who can be very particular about the people who give her health and medical care. Everybody who has aging parents know how hard it can be to get their folks quality care and a place that makes seniors feel welcome and safe where they are treated with dignity and respect. Neither of my parents have a bad thing to say about this place and trust me - That says A LOT. :-)

Great place to go if you wish to pay double the standard rates above insurance coverage. We had to make an emergency visit for my wife to get work done on a tooth that we found out had been caused by previous work they had done incorrectly in the first place. Unfortunately it was something that we had no choice but to get done as it was causing an infection for my wife and a lot of pain. Sadly this was early COVID and not a lot of places were taking any new patients, for the following two years we are receiving spam from them for reminders of checkups. We are settling our bills at a loss to us and will be boycotting their services moving forward.

I used to dread going to the dentist... and while it's still not my #1 favourite activity, the Tooth Doctor has improved my dentist experience by 5000%. I was recommended the Tooth Doctor Capilano by a friend, and I can't say enough how positive my experiences have been. I've been a patient here for over a year now, and Dr. Yoo as well as the other dentists, hygienists, and receptionists are always friendly, kind, patient and calming for people (me!!) who get anxious going to the dentist. I've received excellent care, thoughtful advice, and above-and-beyond treatment at the Capilano Tooth Doctor. Best dental experiences of my life hands down.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at The Tooth Doctor ! After not going to the dentist in over 8 years, I expected the worst. Not only did I receive a fantastic cleaning and very thorough oral exam, I also finally have relief from an existing sore tooth which was painlessly dealt with by Dr Wong’s gentle expertise. I felt no pain or discomfort at any point during my visit. The entire staff was great, everyone was so pleasant from the minute I walked in. Thank you Dr. Yoo for saving my teeth. I was so depressed when other dentists decided to extract my supporting teeth. These teeth were decaying due to the leakage of my bridge. By doing so, I could have lost all my front teeth and would have to wear those flimsy partial for the rest of my life. The alternative would be the expensive implants. I am so happy now that I can smile again. Dr.Yoo remarkably saved my teeth and replaced the damaged bridge. Dr.Yoo is a Smile Maker. Thanks again Peter. First time getting dental care in Alberta, since moving from BC. I've always been wary of getting dental care here, after hearing about how opportunistic some dentists can be about doing more procedures than necessary. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised - Dr. Wong and the hygienist Brian were super thorough. Dr. Wong talked through her exam and explained what her thoughts were about the exam, why she would recommend some things and why she would wait and watch for others. The reception staff were super nice and very friendly as well. Very happy, would definitely recommend!

Came here the other day for the first time after a very frustrating experience at another dental office down the street. Just needed to get routine hygiene done and they listened to what I wanted. Reception staff were very attentive, friendly, patient and easy to talk to over the phone and in person. They even went out of their way to ensure that I could get as much of the procedures covered under my insurance as possible! I must say I’ve had the best dental experience with Dr. Peter Yoo! He is very accommodating and actually cares about your dental needs. I had a previous dentist say I needed a root canal and crown for the pain I was experiencing from a filling that wasn’t done correctly and Peter fixed the pain by a minor bite adjustment! Not only did I save thousands of dollars but the pain went away and I didn’t undergo a procedure that I didn’t need! Thank you Dr.Yoo! I will bring my family to you from now on!

Dr. Yoo and his team have made going to see the dentist such a positive experience for my two year old and four year olds boys that they ask to go see the dentist every time we drive by. We have been going to see Dr. Yoo for a couple years now and I would recommend him to all families. The hygienist always does a great job of showing my kids how everything in the office works and is very kind and patient with them. Perfect place if you're extra scared of the dentist & need affordable, caring help. I got a female dentist by chance for the first time in my life & I will be asking for her as long as I live in Edmonton. Her assistant was amazing, both ladies who helped me were so kind and gentle. I've haven't been to a dentist since I came to Canada, 6 years ago. Tooth Doctor is a really great clinic. It's very clean and professional. All their staff is very friendly.Jessica at the font desk was very nice and accomodating and Dr. Wong's assistant, Carrie is very helpful and bubbly. I'm usually scared of going to the dentist but Dr. Wong made me feel at ease.. She's great and she really knows her stuff. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist!

Reception was very prompt in replying to my appointment requests and extremely welcoming, professional and helpful when I arrived for my appointment. Dental assistant was attentive, gave all my questions consideration and answered all of them. Addressing all my concerns and was able to very relaxed . The Dentist was very courteous and informative. Just had 2 big painful cavities fixed and i got treated great! Didnt get shamed for the way my teeth are, got everything explained to me in great detail and they were very willing to work financials with me very pleasently! Also i have never in my life been frozen so well, i didnt feel a thing. Will definitly be going back for the rest of my dental work in the future!

I am very leary of dentists and like most people would rather have anything else done to them then go to the dentist. Dr. Peter is fantastic, he is kind and does his job very well. This is our 3rd appointment for our 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl. The dentists here are amazing, really outstanding with kids! Dr. Wong is patient and kind, and still gets the job done with our busy boy. She took the time to explain every detail of each child’s dental needs and my kids were asking to come back. Very thankful to Dr. Yoo that he agreed to see us on Saturday, for an emergency appointment after our 6 years old fall on the skating rink and had two of her front teeth traumatized. I hadnt seen a dentist since highschool and im almost sixty. Had cracked tooth xray'd extracted, and a thorough examination in 60min. I was expecting sticker shock but I doubt the mexicans or thais can top that if your a traveller. Two more visits for cleaning and fillings after extraction has healed for less than 1300 cdn...roughly a G us dollar all in.

First time visiting the dentist in a long time, I had a little anxiety going in but everyone there was lovely. Super gentle when taking x-rays and the examination was super informative. Both times we’ve brought our little guy to the Tooth Doctor, they have been so accommodating and compassionate. He’s pretty fearful of any sort of medical appointment but they’re so patient and kind and never rush him. Front end staff are always so helpful and sweet. We’re so happy to have such an amazing team looking after our son’s dental health!

Five stars for the staff and clinic it's self . I was more then satisfied with this clinics approach on denistry. The hygiene staff are very knowledgeable and the dentist has a very warm approach, no rushing between patients and took the time to explain everything as he went along so there were no surprises. Thrilled to have found this place!

We met with Dr Yoo for the first time, for my 10 year old son. He is a fantastic doctor. He made an adjustment so that my sons new teeth will grow in straighter. Had to get a tooth pulled today and this was a first for myself and getting needles in my mouth has always been a big fear for myself but Dr.Yoo made me feel comfortable and walked me through everything! Just from touching the side of my mouth my dentist was able to determine my jaw is off which I'm seeing my chiropractor about, she also taught me some mouth exercises I could do to help with it. She gave me a lot of insight on the issues I have going on. She is also very gentle which is HUGE for me!!

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff and great with children. They were able to fit my 8 year old in to pull a painful baby tooth. They walked him through everything including his first freezing for the extraction. He left very happy and no fears about his next appointment for a cleaning.

Hi had an absolute wonderful experience at The Tooth Doctor on 75th Street. It was my first visit for a cleaning! The staff were all so friendly and nice and my hygienist was so fast and awesome. I have found my perfect dentist office!

The staff have made this terrified patient not dread her appointments. They're professionalism is equal to their sensitivity which keeps me coming back and receiving the absolute necessity of maintaining my dental health.

Cancelled my Monday appt on friday was told 50 dollar cancelation fee .gave them ample time . Another time booked an appointment 4 weeks in advance on my bill 75 dollar emergency appt fee!! Had enough of these crooks!!!!

Staff were very friendly, it was my very first time going to a doctor in my life. I had to get a tooth removed, everyone made this experience quite good.

This place is great , our 6 yo daughter had an emergency after playing hockey Friday night , the dentist helped us out 930 am Saturday !! Amazing place
