I am choosing to write these reviews since I need to emphasise that this school is not what it was before United Learning came in. Where else are you going to find a headteacher that remembers everybody's names, where the year 11s are going for sixth form, and what the kids' interests are? Mr Fairbairn has drastically improved this school by simply deciding to be an active headteacher, not giving kids excuses to do nothing, and ensuring everyone is learning. External cover teachers were rare during my time there. Mr Fairbairn even covered my physics class while they attempted to find a new physics teacher for my GCSE class. I joined in year 10. During my first GCSE art class, he took the time out to come up to me, greet me, talk to me about why I chose TTA, and even asked how my brother, who had left for sixth form at the time, was. This is just Mr Fairbairn. I won't even go on about the rest of the staff with how supportive, how caring, and how professional they all are. You have teachers like Mrs Palmer who has been at the school for decades and still has an absolute love for teaching and drive to inspire. There's a misconception that the school is a hotpot for crime and where all the misbehaved kids go, but trust me, this is not tolerated by the staff and is not true in the slightest. Thank you for supporting me, TTA.

Best School in Barnet! Totteridge Academy is the Number 1 school in the borough of Barnet 2022 (for improvement). Walking around TTA, there are some hints of the old school... but... today, this AMAZING school is a far cry from those Ravenscroft School days. The new head, Mr Fairbairn, has transformed the teaching and learning attitudes and achievements at Totteridge Academy. Last night, we attended the Annual Evening of Excellence, with an electirc atmosphere in the old hall. Mr. Fairbairn and George Lamb ( from GROW) did their speeches and introductions with positive and inspirational vibes. We all felt very proud of our children and the school. Thank you, Mr Fairbairn, George, Miss Steel and all the teachers and staff. We appreciate every thing you do. As a parent, I give you this 5-star review as a RECOGNITION from all of us!! My child loves the atmosphere in TTA. She has a feeling of security, community, support and friendship. The work is hard, the expectation is high, but the support is second to none. She feels part of the TTA family, which is very apparent when you visit... so book that personal visit and put TTA as your first choice for year 7, or 6th form.. and see how this school has changed.

This school has changed for the good. Changed academically and you can see an improvement. The teachers are so helpful, they support you and really get to know you. This school is basically family due to our teamwork and togetherness. What I really like is how mr. fairbairn gets involved with the students as it gives the students motivation and also a laugh sometimes, happy i chose tta and very proud to see the change it has gone through, this school is honestly the best x fast forward 2020: really missing the staff at tta, they were the sunshine on my gloomy days, i miss the interaction and how enthusiastic they are, PLEASE AS AN EX YEAR 11 STUDENT, DO CHOSE THIS SECONDARY FOR YOUR CHILD TO ATTEND! MR FAIRBAIRN HAS DONE AN INCREDIBLE JOB AND THIS SCHOOL LIKE I SAID HAS CHANGED FOR THE GOOD, back when i was in year 7, we had a different head teacher- 2 infact, but by year 8, mr fairbairn helped make tta a really good school honestly!!

This school has changed for the better. Before UL took over it was something to say at least. From brawls, daily fire bell and nothing being done about it. However all of this have seem to stopped. Now with new ideas being suggest by students, staff and parents we are building a foundation for a better, friendly community. TTA has history more bad than good but that is the past and we can't change that but, what we can and will do is looking to the future. Trust me that will be a great story.

Sharing experiences of seeing and hearing these students on the 184 and 307 buses, and also in High Barnet McDonalds... what a bunch of spoilt, rude, and dangerous lot. Talks of stabbings non stop. You cannot take small children around the students from this school... they are way too aggressive and show little care for others. Children are meant to represent their school in the best of manners and fashion. The police will have to be called in if this violent behaviour continues.

Amazing school everyone is respectful and kind . Although it does not have a good facility, teachers and students are amazing. Just yesterday a child broke a bus window School give warning and put those boys for month extension. Meanwhile my son joined about a couple of months ago and says everyone is friendly and kind. Homework helped my child a lot. They also care about your requests and needs from the school.

The first time i set foot into this school, it was deprived and I heard its calls for help. It was dying. The once vibrant and chipper school grew dark and mellow. Luckily, United Learning have heard its calls too and has turned the School into its full form, I can't thank them enough, thank you for restoring the Totteridge Academy to its former glory.

school has changed so much since i joined in 2013 the current year 7's will most likely get the best results the school has ever seen due to united learning and mr. fairbairn am staying anonymous ... no one made any effort in the school before UL and fairbairn and aitken now its so good

  • Toddy Peters

This is a really interesting and positive seeming school. Lots of interesting changes have been made by the "new" head who has been in place since 2016. Kids are calm and friendly and the school is definitely performing well. One star removed for how awkward it is to get to the school.

Teachers at this school won't admit that it was one of the worst schools in the area, full of teachers that can't teach and students that shouldn't be allowed near a school. Whilst you was there you could never voice your opinion because anything you said they would always deny.

  • Emma Ben

Bunch of violent children in the school , accidents happen everyday , the police is always at the school. Also teachers don't really care about the students. The school is very unorganised especially when it comes to year 11. I recommend you not to send your child here.

  • lee dawson
