On Monday I went to UNM Hospital, my back right side was hurting and I could not breathe to good. When you get there, there is one door to get in , and one to get out. If you are going to visit someone you our out of luck, they ask you where you are going to. In my case I was headed to Adult Urgent Care which is now on the 4th floor main hospital. Got there they check me in waiting a few minutes they took my vitals and found out my Oxygen levels were very low. They immediately took me to the emergency room no waiting straight to the back to detox. Waited awhile they are Very busy with so many people being seen. They put me on Oxygen right away. I sat awhile outside then they brought me back in the area they gave me an x-ray and also a Covid test. Went back outside sat there for a bit, and someone came and took me back to my room in the ER. All the rooms are filled i got lucky there was a room. These people are working so hard to take care of everyone I'm very very grateful for the work that they do. I was admitted, about 11pm that night I was taken for a CT scan. I spent the night in the ER. The next morning my nurse came in and took me to my room upstairs in the Women's care section. I had my own room it was very nice. I had a very nice nurse (Tina) who came to work here from Georgia she took really good care of me. I was waiting in anticipation to find out if I was among the thousands to have contacted Covid. Thank God it came back Negative . They said I have an acute respiratory viral infection and more. They wanted to give me another Covid test. Wednesday morning they gave me another test, and people they are not fun. My oxygen levels are still not right so I've been on Oxygen all the time. Later that evening my night nurse also very very nice young lady told me that it was also Negative. The workers at UNM and I'm sure all the hospital are working like (hell) heck for us. So PLEASE have Respect for all the workers and Wear your Masks. For everyone who lost someone I pray for all of you they didn't ask for this and they didn't deserve to die. All we can do is Pray and be safe. Wear your MASKS. Everywhere I go I wear my mask. I was released yesterday, came home on Oxygen and have a journey ahead of me. With the man upstairs I hope I will come out of this. Remember follow the rules they are there to help You, and give praise to all the essential workers. God Bless.

Don't bother reading reviews with 5 stars (they're full of themselves, trust me I had classes with schifer ) The campus has ostentatious alumni who talk down on undergraduates and make you feel lower than pond-scum. The campus looks beautiful but the education here is average. The only majors that are worth your time and money are Anthropology and Nursing, only because of the extensive course work and effort they put into them, but even then you'll have a hard time enrolling in classes because they fill up too quickly. The administration is similar to a bureaucracy, they make you walk from place to place to seek help, only to add in last minute things that extend your time there. The staff are unsure about their jobs and will tell you where to look for help elsewhere. Student personalities are mixed up, some are really cool people and are decent people, some have acrid personalities and hate everyone there. Most students I know at UNM don't even know why they're in college and waste their money taking random courses. As for the class sizes, they are overpopulated up the wazoo! If you don't like to sit with 300+ students in one class, you should consider taking your classes elsewhere. Your education is not worth squat if the instructor doesn't read your work with so many students!

Hate going to class everyday? Love cheap tuition with basic education? Say no more because this schools' just for you! At this university, you can BS every class assignment and still graduate on time! And why try to be an a**hole when graduates students here are top of the line arrogant and snooty! Enroll today and receive the administration department package, it's ran by the students and even though they're not well trained, we still give them the attention they need because it's the only way your gonna get that mandatory hold off your student account. If you hate that, then you'll like attending required workshops that waste hours of your time, don't wanna go? here's another hold in case you do. Wait, enroll in the 10 seconds and get the awful student bonus! Like a jar of acid dissolving a box, the students here have rude attitudes and acrid personalities that will do the same! You'll notice it so much that even your politeness just melts away! Average and sour students, bureaucratic administration, it's all here for you today!

I am a CURRENT Econ/Stats student here who would give lower than 1 star if given the option. So let's start with the Pros. Tuition is dirt cheap, especially for in-state students and those with financial aid (you get what you pay for). The landscape is decent and the weather is nice, that's about it. Now for the Cons, staff and administration here are quite clueless and care very little about you or your agenda. The education is not up to par compared to most other universities (again you get what you pay for). The Business school is okay, but I wouldn't recommend it for the MBA since it's a complete repeat of the bachelors degree. I've heard Engineering and Sciences is pretty problematic as well. Wifi is horrible! Liberal bias is through the roof on everything and parking is insane. This institution is a complete reflection of the state of New Mexico, not kidding. If you can get accepted somewhere else and can afford it/go into debt for it then I'd recommend doing so.

UNM is an awesome university! I'm currently a junior and throughout my three years here UNM has provided me with a number of opportunities, friends, resources and life skills. The campus is gorgeous, at all times of the year! People on campus are always friendly and there's always a ton going on. Aside from the great atmosphere, the staff and professors are extremely nice and always willing to help. I came here with no major in mind and was able to explore with the help of my advisor until I figured it out. I was able to create the degree that I wanted through the liberal arts program and my focus areas have opened so many doors for me! UNM has also provided me with the opportunity to go on exchange to another University for a whole year at the same price for tuition, amazing! I will always be grateful for the knowledge and skills I've gained as well as all of the amazing friends and colleagues I've made! I truly could not have asked for a better undergrad experience.

The University of New Mexico is a unique place to attend college. With a mix of diverse student body and a variety of degree programs in Art, Science, and Medicine, this university has opportunity for any student eager to obtain their degree. The university has a very active student body, and I found interest in several clubs. One of which being the UNM Mountaineering Club which focuses on taking students outdoors without breaking their budget (as they pay for mostly everything!). The campus is located around a variety of great restaurants and coffee shops which are great places to unwind, and finish homework. The campus has a beautiful aesthetic and is very safe to walk through. I have had a great experience here and have met so many influential and kind people, some of which are now very close friends of mine. Go Lobos!

I am currently a senior about to graduate this May from The University of New Mexico. I love this school and all that it has offered to me during my time. One reason I love this school is they always keep students in mind. For example, today they had a "cuddle a K9" event on the center of campus. This event was provided to the students that may be stressed about upcoming finals and projects due. Especially for students that have left dogs at home, like myself, it is important to have the opportunity to de-stress and get some doggo time. UNM always keeps its students in mind from the variety of resources they provide to the fun campus events they host. I am proud to call myself a Lobo. (Woof woof!)

I love unm. My son was born here. SOME of the staff we have come across to help our son are super amazing and go above and beyond. Then we come to pediatric urgent care and was told two parents are allowed back and when we got here a not so pleasant nurse who kept talking over me and wouldn't let me speak about how it was not true we got that information and wouldn't even let me say we called before we came. Then a very nice nurse after went to explain to my partner what happened. But I suggest you guys speak to her cause I wouldn't want my child handled by a person that aggressive and rude. Don't have her name but boy do i have her photo and tempted to make sure no one gets seen by her

Everyone there is very kind, great professional mannerisms, and the work that I've had done on my teeth has been outstanding. They take the time for you as an individual, address your needs with efficiency and have the best calm demeanors, which for anyone similar to me that experiences extreme levels of anxiety that becomes over time a large factor as to why you just don't want to go and get the work you may need done and over with, they have amazed me again and again with their ability to ease my fears and anxieties and go above and beyond to make sure that you're Comfortable and relaxed even..... Seriously every one there dose and outstanding job. Thank you guys!

Spent two months signing up for this school, and after I finally got everything in order I had to sign up for orientation, which I couldn't the first time because my placement test scores where failed to be put in the system. After they were in I still couldn't sign up so I had to call to find out why that's when they decide to tell me I didn't make it into the school because of my GPA, which finding out what my GPA was is one of the first steps into signing up for the school so why did it take 2 months for ME to find out, they didn't tell me I had to force it out of them. Nice people, but they don't do there jobs.

I received a PhD from UNM's 'Clinical & Experimental Psychology' program in the 1990's. The rigorous coursework reflected the excellence of the diversified faculty. The program's connections with CASAA (addiction treatment and research center) provided unique opportunities for training, work-study placements, and scholarships. Of particular interest to many students is the unique beauty of the campus itself. Native American and Hispanic cultural influences create the extraordinary sights, sounds, and flavors available to student-explorers! I really enjoyed my years here - thank you, UNM!

  • Azad

Most dangerous campus ever, police focus more on enforcing parking rather than safety. I have been a student here for two years. The only thing that's changed is some new facilities that still blow. Money allocation is ran by a preschool it seems like. The biology department lacks any kind of organization, I get good grades but it has been an annoying journey here. Not to mention the social events here probably costed about 500$ so yeah expect them to blow too. Overall if i didnt get a lottery scholarship to this place I would've never even considered coming here.

I love UNM for my prenatal care, labor & delivery. They are amazing, the only reason I didn't rate 5 star is due to the student practices in part, on 1 hand I love the team of doctors working to ensure proper care, on the other hand I can't stand when on top of being in labor I am also being used by a student to practice the starting of IV's. I much rather prefer being stuck a second time rather than having my vain dug into for 3 minutes before they understand that they cannot, (no matter how much they dig) get into the vain. I mean come on, labor is hard enough.

They're improving how they do thing's, and today was one of those day's, I took my mom here today because they have to switch out her catheter every month, and her doctor recommended that instead of having it placed inside of her private part, they should place it directly to her bladder, it's a three minute procedure, at first she was hesitant, but I eventually talked her in to getting it done, they made her an appointment in December, I hope that all goes well, God bless you all and stay safe out there!!!

  • Vu Nguyen

Really really bad application process with no helpful from the admission office. They made you pay for the CASPA application fee then the supplemental fee which is non-refundable. And they sent you all the time the broken links showing error website that make it impossible to complete the supplemental application then you will miss the deadline and lose your money. They can’t even fix the system before letting student apply for the application. I’m so disappointed!

  • Michael LaCreta

So I’m a paraplegic and I have a pressure sore because I tore my rotator cuff in August 2022 and I had a referral sent in in April and I’ve been waiting and I called and they just told me they don’t even have a surgeon that deals with this kind of injury they couldn’t have called me when they got the referral even though they had my phone number this is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to, and the worst doctors office that exists on the planet

  • Robert Sanders

I've had a great many experiences with the good folks at UNM over the years. I spent a week admitted there back in 97 for a serious intestinal issue that nearly did me in, but they're great doctors & outstanding nursing care saved my life They have done a great job taking care of me ever since & as hospitals go, I'd say they are top shelf, not perfect, but they care about your health & isn't that what you want in a hospital?

  • Jesus Gomez

As a spouse of a 72-year old woman with an eye cornea injury i was not allowed in to assist me wife. There are no restrooms available and the wait period for my wife to be screened and treated was 4 hours from the time of check-in to release. We come from 120 miles away and do not have family or facilities available in the area. I asked to use the restroom inside the lobby and was shunned away. This is bad for UNM.

  • Abigail Avalos

I had a decent experience after my first year here. The financial advising people were not very knowledgeable and put me in a significant bind that I was left to figure out for myself, and my academic adviser misinformed me into an extra semester there. After that first year, I learned to get everything in writing. All things considered, my experience here was not the worst thing I have ever experienced.

  • Jamie Diaz

I really enjoyed my undergrad time at UNM. The Anthropology and History departments are great, full of knowledgeable professors willing to help guide students. Atmosphere is welcoming. Plenty of amenities on campus, lots of places to study, you can always find a good quiet spot if you need it. Tons of opportunities to get involved, not just for Greek life. I had capable advisors in Anth and History.

  • J J

Absolute worst University one could attend. Although I graduated from this college, I'd never send my child here nor refer anyone to this Uni. The professors are amazing (for the most part). However, the advisement, the financial aid offices, and really anyone other than the prof. are horrendous. I should've stayed home in MA and attended school there. UNM has been my biggest regret thus far.

  • Suzy Jaramillo

Carrie Tingley staff always super nice. So great. They had a child specialist come into the room and help distract my disabled daughter, while doing a blood draw. Love that we did not have to go to a different location for the blood draw. Nurses and staff came to her. So much less stress on her. Recommend this hospital so much. All so kind.

  • Andy ABQ

Nice campus and atmosphere, but trying to get help from someone competent is like pulling teeth. Ran into no end of red tape and bureaucracy - and really fell through the cracks as a transfer student. Really got the impression that the degree programs are designed to take five years starting as a freshman and twice as long transferring in.

  • Khandoker Nuzhat Rafa Islam

This is a nice large clean campus. The only bad thing is probably the bicycle theft. Even if you use ulock, there's high chance that it might get stolen. Duck pond is one the best places to chill. Architecture building library has the best view of Sandia mountains from campus. If you love to watch full moon, Johnson field is a good place!

  • Michelle Smith

After our car accident unm were amazing they were patient, kind , understanding, comforting to both son and I. The adult Dr. Who kept running back and forth so I could stay with my son. The wonderful super women in pink, karl mr. clean us up guy, wonderful stitch man from Hawaii.and everyone in between We will never forget your kindness.

  • DIANNE ESTRADA

I went in at 10 pm took me into emergency nurses took me in right away then went to waiting room and waited for Dr .. waited for 2 hours Dr never took me in to examine for difficulty breathing I left after 3 hours without being seen by Dr . smh no wonder they make so much money they keep you waiting for hours …

I am astonish that the architectural style of UNM. They must be expensive and comfortable. The students who live and study here should be happy very much. Congratulation! I hope that I have chance enter these buildings and feel their conditions not just take pictures outside. But I don't know how I can realize my hopes.

  • Acapella Wiz777

this has to be byfar the worst university in the united states, its actually quite disgusting. Teachers take legitimately no responsibility for anything-everything is your fault. I guess it was my mistake believing that perhaps this godforsaken place would hold their students to equal standards as other universities.

  • Alex G

I am forever indebted to the University for preparing me to face the real world. UNM will not hold your hand every step of the way, you have to earn your spot and stay on top of responsibilities. However, I have been supported and guided through my entire University experience and have loved my entire time here!

  • Blane Armstrong

Know where you are going when you go to the UNM campus hospital. The lack of signs makes you think everyone there is on the ninth year of thier 4 year degree and knows where they are going but don't bother to leave signs for others. Even signs to pedestrian exits from the parking garage are non-existent.

  • Patrick Keller

I have been going to the Coumadin Clinic for 10 years or so. They treat everyone like you are a part of their family. It's always been that way. I am very thankful for everything that they do for me. I had 2 other members of my family that had to go there also.

  • Jasmine Brooks

Visually the place is very pretty, and a good environment to study and grow in with the right habits in place. With the exception of students occasionally having lazy or non-helpful advisors and what feels like repeat cafeteria food, it's a good school.

  • Liberty Walker

My family and I have had Dr's here several years now and they are the best in they're field..UNM has some of the best teaching courses around so they basically got it all and if your ever not happy with something the directors of UNM will help you out

  • Tardis Chick

They are so overpriced for the education you receive. I recommend ASU or another university, because this one is just there to nickle and dime you and you don't even get what you pay for. Use caution. I had to take extra classes because the

I have great doctors that care and the OTC nurses on the 5th floor are top notch!! This is definitely my hospital of choice. They never make me feel anything but comfort and cared for when I'm there once a month and I love them for it.

  • Wendy Honeyfield

The staff at the urgent care were fantastic!! Very polite, listened to me, got me in and out in record time! Explaining everything that I was experiencing, and gave me answers to tests that were done. I would highly recommend UNMH!!

  • AddictedToRaids

I didn't go to school here. But I did go here to play Pokemon Go and made some genuine friends. Buildings are generally locked. This campus needs to up their security a bit and toss out homeless people from harassing students.

  • Jeremy Klar

I was only there for a final. I never really knew that it was there. But really nice old building inside reminded me of seeing old 1950s and 60s lecture halls. Did not get a chance to browse any halls, but will next semester.

  • dolores romero

Waited 25 minutes for my son's appt that was scheduled at 1:45. Appt was 5 minutes long. Drs need to be more prompt or have receptionist tell patient that dr is behind or a lie. Not happy with Dr.Butillo, mental health dept.
