"As we were walking pass looking for a place to have dinner we discovered this little hidden gem "The Yorkshire Rose" in the heart of Avalon with its blooming grape vine under the outdoor pergola it caught our addition the moment we step foot inside it was so busy, and the staff kindly welcome us and found us a table without any reservations, there was much more to see inside , the pub and bar was amazing and the decor was just like a real old English pub in England but in "Avalon " We had the eye fillet steak which was so tender and the mussels were delicious and well cooked"
"We came to “The Yorkshire Rose” for dinner with our English cousins Livvy & Charlie & Lee Holmes @supercharged foods & Roxy absolutely delicious! The waitress Tash was fantastic, the Yorkshire pudding with roast beef was so delicious cooked to perfection with a stunning horseradish sauce on the side "
" VALUE FOR MONEY Extremely overpriced for what you get, went on a Sunday for a roast & was underwhelmed - 2 very thin slices of beef, 2 tiny soggy spuds, 3 tiny slithers of steamed carrot, loads of frozen peas 1 small Yorkshire pudding & lumpy gravy :( and unfortunately it wasn’t hot, the side of cauliflower cheese was hot however that’s because it had come out of the microwave - Not worth $40"
"We booked a group of 20 people"
"Went to the Yorkshire Rose for a Sunday Roast - what a treat! Scotch egg was fantastic to start, For the mains we ordered 1x roast beef 3x roast pork, I ordered the beef but had fomo for the crackling and they were kind enough to add some, and it was delicious"

Livvy and Charlie really enjoyed the vegan pie with house fries and a gorgeous salad. then washed down with some good English ale . Compliments to the chef and all the staff for making our dinner such a memorable experience for our international visitors ! Will definitely be back to try the bangers and mash.

Given we were all still hungry we ordered dessert, the homemade apple crumble is delicious however the smallest portion ever it was two mouthfuls, the custard was Woolies brand carton custard (not homemade which was disappointing) VENUE & STAFF very cute venue giving English vibes & lovely staff, bit of a walk to the toilet down a couple of ally ways. The loo needs to be regularly cleaned it was very dirty. ATMOSPHERE when you go to an English pub, at a minimum you expect some kind of music however nothing not even a radio on for background music.
We booked a group of 20 people. Booking and communication between myself and the owner was a breeze especially dealing with such a large group. I know it can be difficult to have all that run smoothly but Ingrid was always quick to respond and a delight to deal with. I was impressed before we even arrived! The nostalgia of a good Yorkshire pudding and roast beef with horseradish can’t be beat! Portion sizes were massive but still able to finish everything. We were so full from lunch we didn’t need dinner so you’re saving money there! Staff were all really lovely. We even had fun with some royal family masks! Overall, genuinely 5 stars. Everyone said they would be back and will be taking other members of our good catholic (big) Yorkshire family.

Scotch egg was fantastic to start, For the mains we ordered 1x roast beef 3x roast pork, I ordered the beef but had fomo for the crackling and they were kind enough to add some, and it was delicious. Finished up with the sticky date pudding, home cooked and delicious. Great beers on tap - the Tetleys bitter was great, also enjoyed the Hobgoblin Ruby. Very generous portions, great service, and super welcoming hospitality. And dog friendly to boot! It is legit - strongly recommend, would come again.

I attended the Yorkshire Rose for lunch on Sunday with my wife. We ordered the roast and were impressed by the wide range of delicious options and generous serving sizes. The Yorkshire puddings and the pork crackle was perfect. The beer selection is also expansive, with several English beers to choose from. You can also ask for your tap beer in a hot glass, which felt very authentic. It's lovely to have a place like this in the Northern Beaches. The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, which added to the experience. I will be back!
An awesome spot on the Northern Beaches! Great English beers on tap (Old Speckled Hen, London Pride & Tetley's when we were there) and a fab selection of food with some English pub classics on the menu. Lovely setting too and the staff were friendly & attentive. We picked a fairly quiet time to go but I bet it's an amazing atmosphere at its busier times - apparently Thu/Fri/Sat evenings & Sun lunchtimes are very popular. Loved it. Will absolutely be back and already recommending to friends. Well done on a relatively new venture!
What a great little place, nestled in Avalon Beach. Love the English decor. The food is really nice and the service is great. Definitely will be back for another Roast Beef dinner. Great place if your from the U.K and love English food. Highly recommend

The homemade Sticky Date Pudding topped off a delicious no fuss menu of all our favourites, comfortable seating and excellent service by the owners and their team. We will be back. UPDATE. Thank you for introducing High Teas! What a treat. Excellent balance of savoury and sweet, the showstopper being the most incredible scones. So light and fluffy, clearly a treasured and secret family recipe. I hope Devonshire Teas will be the next addition to your menu.
What a great pub hidden away in Avalon. The ales are exceptional, the food is equal. The Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and gravy are heartwarming and delicious. The twice fried chips with gravy go well with an ale, the staff and atmosphere for an Eastcoast pub are fantastic. They do the English pub experience exceptionally well and yes, you can drink ale (cold) in an Eastcoast summer. A must on your northern beaches visit. Do not hesitate!
Hidden gem in Avalon Village! We all decided to have the roasts today of beef, pork and chicken…Everyone enjoyed their meals! Just like mum used to make! It was a hot day and the pimms cocktails and cold beers went down a treat! Service is always very friendly! We also got to listen the musician who sang thru the Sunday afternoon and he was extremely entertaining! Definitely worth the visit
A lovely Xmas in July lunch with family & friends at the Yorkshire Rose today. Food, service & ambience were just excellent. We can’t wait to go back there again. Great Yorkshire puddings & pork crackling & my friend loved the Guinness … maybe a bit too much ?! Thanks Ingrid and partner. Your place rocks!!

I had lunch with a friend there today. Lovely little place, friendly staff. We shared the ploughmans platter (very average soccer ball ham) we also shared a scotch egg (also very average) we only ate half if it. The chips were nice so was the Rose wine we shared. Being a Yorkshire lass myself, I was excited to try the food. I was a little disappointed.
Twice now we have driven up from Sydney to enjoy this authentic English pub. The service is great, the food is excellent but the atmosphere is what makes it. Richard the publican and owner really knows his english beer and that completes the experience. Check it out for yourself!!

Enjoyed the Christmas Lunch. Service was excellent, really well looked after, even as busy as they were with the horrible weather (that turned good). Amazing to have a Christmas Dinner at the same price as their normal menu! Well done Yorkshire Rose for not gouging people at Christmas. Highly recommended and we plan to return! More

What an amazing experienced from the first steps inside this cozy place just like a pub in the English countryside, great atmosphere. The food was delicious very English the staff were so friendly and the service was awesome! Don't miss to experience, the taste of the traditional English beers on tap …
Absolutely incredible - feels like a small piece of home. Rich and Ingrid are so welcoming and give you the feel of a true English “local” ! We are very lucky to have this on the Beaches and it is a home from home - very welcoming for all the family …. Plus able to sit at a “pub bar”! Superb team ! Keep going !
I’ll keep this short - I think we were an annoyance to the waitress, the food is ok but salty and overpriced, the venue is pretty in the evenings but the outside toilets are a health hazard and you shouldn’t let you daughter go on her own. Overall, average and trading off its lack of competition.
Spread the word this delightful authentic touch of Yorkshire is well worth a visit!! The fish and chips as well as many other delights are next level delicious! Coupled with a great selection of beers and wines . Loved the energy achieved in this quaint little gem of a place …
Absolutely outstanding! The meal was great, the portion sizes were huge! The beef roast was epic! Tons of meat and the beef was cut almost as thick as a steak! Staff were lovely and friendly! Highly recommended! Dog friendly!

I have to give this place 2 star because of the price. I felt like the roast, although nice, was definitely not worth $39 for the plate that was served. I chose pork and got three minuscule pieces of crackling. Maybe we just went there on the wrong day?? Staff were lovely.
Such an amazing little gem! The food was absolutely incredible and it’s such a pretty and cosy little place. I am from Yorkshire and this was the best food I have had since I was there, dare I say, even better

We visited with my Scottish in laws and we loved the food! They said it reminded them of many a pub in York. They particularly liked the pie float with the mushy peas. Our 11 month old also approved of the food although she probably wanted it a bit faster.
Best English pub in Aus. Beautifully cosy place, blending the beach with English tradition, great food and good beer. Will be back. Sunday roast with Yorkshire puddings, gave a little taste of home

We had a lovely high tea at The Yorkshire Rose on Mother's Day. They went out of their way to accommodate us and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back not only for another delicious high tea, but the roast lunch looked fabulous too.

Great little place with awesome friendly service and an amazing vibe. Fish and chips are best ever. Awesome beers and English pub atmosphere. Some nice wines too. Something for everyone. Well done guys. We will be back …
Really quaint place with great decor and excellent beer. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they had a trumpet player playing soft tunes that added to the relaxed atmosphere. The owners were great hosts... will definitely be back.
