The menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of traditional South Indian dishes, as well as some fusion cuisine. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. Each dish was bursting with flavor and the spices were perfectly balanced, making for an unforgettable culinary experience. I must also mention the service, which was impeccable. The staff were attentive and efficient, and my order was promptly served. They were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations based on my preferences. Overall, I highly recommend Theeran restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic South Indian cuisine. The ambiance, food, and service are all outstanding, making for a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon to try more dishes!

Best place to have South Indian Kerala style home like food in Kalina. Don't expect quick service or anything, just make sure you have lots of free time. The cooks over there make it worth it. Thank you theeram I have lots of health issues and you're more like a blessing for me. & I forgot to say i work in Santacruz East and no they don't provide me with freebies full stop.

Clearly defined in the menu,93 rupees lunch with 3 subzies,1 chutney 2 achar, rice brown or white, sambhar with lots of vegetables, papad, sar and desert payasam. Wow what a good place to have lunch for even Mangalore South Indians like myself.

A small place located in Santacruz east which has its own speciality of Kerala food. One of the places where you will be getting authentic South Indian and kerela food. The place is not that big but the way food is prepared and served is really amazing. It gives you the taste of south which is very nice and subtle. The food tastes like home made as the spices and all is less, so is the Oil put into it It has a non-ac as well as an AC section. The food is also very affordable as it is not that expensive. The unlimited thali starts at 75 rs going upto 96rs. The food we ordered was:- Unlimited thali Surmai molly which is a prawns dish Appam Kerela parotha Coconut juice. The waiters have a good knowledge about the food and suggestion they gave was good too. The ambience is decent, upstairs is a small, bit cosy place. This place is perfect for vegetarians. The battery food here is very good. It is very good. Both veg and non-veg are served here, but the vegetarian food is very good.

We discovered Theeram this March. I say discovered bec we spent an entire weekend only eating the biryani and starters. Ordered on swiggy, delivery was on time. All the dishes in the menu have names we haven't heard of but the descriptions are sufficient to make your choices. The packaging was unique and interesting. In a banana leaf. No leakage at all. Impressive. Food wise : 1. Chicken Elakizhi : chicken biryani, very flavourful and different from our usual biryani. Has enough masala, not dry. Comes with an egg 5/5 2. Chammeen Pollichathu : prawns starter. While the description does mention that it is hot, it was too spicy for me. So beware 4/5 3. Egg biryani : also amazing All in all, you really get value for your money at Theeram. The chicken biryani is 189rs. More than enough for 1 very hungry person with an above average appetite. Kudos!

Mini Sadya Thali - 5/5 Fish curry - 5/5 Fish fry - 5/5 We ordered a mini sadya - which is a thali a combination of 3 veg curry, Sambhar, rasam, papad, payyasam and rice +papad. All this for 100 INR. Value for money. Impressive packaging. The fish curry or the bangra curry or the aiyla mulakittu was good tangy as described. The fish fry or bangda was well done.

Tad disappointed after the hype from the reviews. Starter came as ender. The oil soaked Fish fry came after the meal. To add to the woes, a waiter dropped soiled plates to spoil my shirt. Sadhya is reasonably priced, all else a bit costly. Credit cards not accepted. If you are physically challenged, sit at home and order. The stairs to the first floor are old fashioned very narrow and steep.

A must visit for those on the hunt for South Indian cuisine. This is possibly the best Kerala restaurant I've been to in Mumbai. The food tastes authentic. The meals, Parotta, appam, and biriyani (All malabar style) reminds me of my home in Kochi. The veg curries I've tried have all been satisfying. Some chicken items like chicken 65 and Kurumulakku puratiyathu are good, though many others like butter chicken etc. were a real dissapointment. I request management to recheck the chicken main courses. Compared to other good South Indian restaurants in Mumbai, Theeram stands with the best, and it's not too expensive either (Unlike many fake South Indian eateries) A nice interior and quick service. Only visited once though I've been ordering from here atleast twice every week since the past four months.

Good small restaurant in Santacruz east serving Kerala food items. Very traditional food options like podhi choru chati choru traditional sadya and good spread of non veg food for all who love Kerala food. The taste of food is very subtle and in line with traditional house hold food. Not to forget have their Podhi biryani it’s also great. Only point to note or may be we call concern is the patron needs to climb stairs to reach the serving place, so anyone having issues need to ask them to open their downstairs party room behind the cash counter

Recently got a chance to visit this authentic and traditional south Indian restaurant in Santacruz east. Tried out their 31 dishes special onam sadhya which was just fantastic Hospitality and staff is helping and professional taste of the food is just mind blowing, u will feel like you are in Kerala I've tried their chicken dishes, fish and prawns too and Man! It was too delicious If you love non vegetarian like me then you should definitely visit this place ✌️ I am surely gonna visit again to try out some other cuisines and don't forget to try out their tender coconut

The locality (Kalina-Church Road) is lil congested and not that neat. Restaurant also is not spacious but somehow they managed it by keeping 'a floor up' kind of partition inside. Another thing is, the waiter boys are not keeping neatness.. Ive been their before COVID also but regarding their neatness its below average.. The kitchen is too congested.. The worst service at Theeram. Made us wait downstairs for half an hour and kept waiting for water for 30 minutes. Then told us to go upstairs he said the veg thali was not available while he served people after us. The service as the worst and horrible. The staff itself is so bad that for.chicken lollipop made us wait for 30 minutes more and then said it's not available. I called for the manager and the manager was available. Please do not waste your money or your time.

An authentic kerala style (Kozhikkodan) food joint.. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, suggests best items by understanding the taste of customer through discussions is soeciality observed here. Ambience is good although the restaurant is small. Neat and clean in all aspects. The restaurant is not crowded and experienced zero waiting time. A good family place. Taste of the food is extremely good with authentic kozhikkodan taste. We have tried Duck Roast, Kada fry, kerala porotta, sulaimani, rice payasam wtc. Vegetarian, Fish, Chicken, egg oriented items are available.

Lo encontramos de casualidad buscando por internet. El personal es majisimo y servicial, nada mas llegar, nos ofrecieron té negro y agua de sabor a algo que no sabemos que era, ambas cosas gratis (no probamos el agua porque era del grifo y no había sino herbida). La comida estaba buenísima, las raciones grandes y las servían en hojas de platanera, muy original y muy guay. Pedimos un thali, un puttu y un kappa, estos dos últimos nos parecieron unos platos bastante originales. El sitio está muy limpio y bien decorado. De precio está realmente bien, barato diría yo.

Read about this place in newspaper and since then could not wait to visit here. Decided to go here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place was packed and had people waiting out. Waited for 35 mins untill got a table. The place is very small but serves authentic Kerala food. Ordered for chicken fry,fish fry,chicken stew,appam and chicken biryani. Everything that I ate was super yum and tasted too good. The herb infused pink water was yum. Pricing is too pocket friendly and you can have a good meal in less money. Recommended totally.

Really delicious and authentic Kerala food at a reasonable price. Went with a friend of mine around 5:30 PM on a weekday. And guess what? Being a non-rush hour, we got the entire restaurant to ourselves. Felt like a private dining experience... We tried the Kozhi soup (Kerala style chicken soup), Chicken kizhi biriyani (chicken biriyani wrapped in banana leaf pouch) and Chicken Malabari roast...The taste was so awesome that we just couldn't resist ordering parcels for our families at home...

One of best kerala meals with payasam and fish gravy available in bombay for such a very small price. Very tasty food in banana leaf. Tried fish fry which was also very tasty. Since the restaurant is small sometimes you have to be in a line to get food. But always worth it. The pink colour hot water is very special which I don’t remember the name. Highly recommending their meals and fries.

Had a really nice lunch here. Two of us ordered a few dishes so we could try a variety. The menu is HUGE and we wanted to try so many things. Service staff were polite and attentive and the Service was quick. Google maps may take you through some narrow streets depending on where you're coming from. Best landmark is the church close by from.which it is walking distance. Two wheeler parking is available close by just outside the restaurant, but four wheeler may have trouble finding a spot.

The food at this restaurant is superb, with standout dishes like thali, fish, and kottu paratha that I absolutely loved. However, the service leaves much to be desired. Despite repeatedly providing instructions, the staff failed to follow them, resulting in poor service. The restaurant's location is not ideal, and it lacks accessibility for elderly individuals who cannot climb stairs. While the ambiance is okay, it's important not to be deceived by the attractive pictures.

Especially if it it is Onam and you wish to have sadya, then don't miss this authentic place for special Kerala style cuisine. The fish fry and the paratha are an all time favourite. Don't miss the Special Malabari Chicken Biryani. It's unique taste is bound to bring back memories of Kerala. Their filter coffee too is authentic.

A local place to have Kerala style food on banana leaf. Not in the leagues of the Kerala restaurants at Fort area in Mumbai, but definitely worth it as not much of such places are there in Santa Cruz area. Had tried out the Kerala style meals and fish fry from here and is good. The ambience was regular and though cramped space, not so crowded on a weekend lunch time. People do a lot of take away from this restaurant.

My first experience was quite good. The food was ethnic Kerala flavour to both the veg dishes ( paneer and korma) we ordered. I will try non vegetarian next time. But it has to cut down the serving time.

Authentic Kerala food. They serve meals on banana leaf also everyday. Economically priced and air conditioning rooms on the first floor. Chicken ularthiyadhu and prawns moilly are their famous dishes. Preparation in coconut oil. We ate Kappa (Tapioca), brown rice, meen pollichadhu , karimeen fry and special coconut water with coconut cream. Must visit if you like kerala food.

Who said Mumbai is a busy city just come to this restaurant they help you to have your own time. You have to wait for at least 30 minutes. The food is very good.if you have your own time then visit and have a great Kerala cuisine here. The staff are so friendly and they forgot your order before they reach the kitchen

Rather than eating here, you can buy groceries nearby and cook yourself in home. That much time taking to serve food. It was a terrible experience. I was asking for a glass of water. They served me water after 45 minutes. But the only good thing is the food.

So this is a small cozy place with a homely ambience...their food is authentically south indian...n the taste is perfect... Its cooked well n absolutely tasty... The staff is polite n very quick...the place is kept neat n clean...they have a special welcome drink which is different...this place is a must try.

Pls try the thaali - sambar is too good not the diluted version which the rest of restaurants offer. They serve an welcome tea which is good, try the Mulakittathu ( Red fish curry ) it will surprise you with its good taste Few Kerela food joints in the city this will not disappoint you.

A typical south Indian restaurant. They have also done interiors to match it. Malayalis and people from Karnataka are a common sight. If you are a malayali, the paintings placed and the colours used around similar to old tharavad veedu fills the heart with happiness. Food is good
