The Thirsty Turtle doesn't deserve any stars really. The service is terrible here. I used to be a waitress so I am very understanding when the house has low staff. The main key for me to keep my business there during a situation like that is COMMUNICATION. Please come out and tell me that you are short staffed. You may not have my food but just check on me and my party. Yes not everyone will be as calm during that time but it still at least shows you are telling your customers about a situation out of YOUR control. My time there, I did NOT receive that communication. Instead, I had a manager (JOSE) speaking to me like I'm not a paying customer. If no one visits my table to even get my drink order, of course, I am going to be annoyed. I have patience but I can't excuse people just flat out not doing their jobs. Mr. Jose felt the need to cut us off while talking and to raise his voice as if I am a child. I am old enough to drink and to pay for it to speak to me like I'm an adult. Not only was I the only person encountering a problem, but I also witness him getting snappy with another party and even witnessed an incident with staff being physical WITH CUSTOMERS. The woman was petite and they were trying to physically force her to pay for the food she never received. I am an actual native Nashvillian. Antioch and Nashville are on the rise. This is the perfect opportunity for businesses to grow and thrive but not if the staff and management behave in a manner such as this.

My experience was horrible I ordered 20 Naked Lemon Pepper Wings to pickup omw home from work. My wings were burnt. I was un able to the eat them. The next day I went back with 4 other ppl. All I expected was my order to be remade. We sat from 2pm-5pm. From the time I arrived I was told at first hold one moment while I get the manager. Then I waa told it'll be about an hour to hour in a half before the manager will be available. Then lastly the manager won't be in until 5pm. I couldn't understand why no one would help and jusr remake my order. My party and I sat, ate,drank & I spent more money. I really expected this establishment to run better and take care of their customers. I was told all.sales are final and no exchanges allowed. I told him I see the sign and I'm not asking for refund. I'd just like my food remade. He could clearly see and smell that my food wasn't right. He told me that I should've came back the same night. That would've been midnight and them almost 1am back home. He told me the best he could do is remake half my order. Nothing was done for inconvenience at all. It was an insult for him to make 10 wings. When he have me the half order. I asked him the difference between the two orders. He had no explanation. I wasn't treatment like a customer should be treated. I'll never return!!! It's a shame because up until now it was our top wing & shrimp place to go.

So my friends and I came to watch the game and the halftime show with the intention to leave before the game ended. When we got there we ordered and it took over an hour for us to get our food. Some of our food was cold by the time it got to us. We also were told that a raffle would be held after the halftime show and if we purchased more drinks we would have a better chance at getting said prizes. We had plans to leave around halftime so we figured it a raffle was happening we might as well stay and up our chances. The raffle did not happen until well after the game was over and it was incredibly frustrating to sit for another 2 hours after purchasing drinks to be told that the reason for why the raffle hadnt happened at half time was because the owner didn't want to stop watching the game. It was disorganized and my group was annoyed. Only thing that gave this place 2 stars was the fact the wait staff was actually good. Suggestion: If you are trying to maximize the amount of dollars that flow into your business, having people sit for hours isn't the way to do it. In theory its a great idea but perhaps utilize commercial breaks and hold cycled raffles. That way people have an opportunity to decide to stay and purchase more drinks. Or if they decided to leave others can take up those seats and you have new money coming in. Additionally you can build up to the Grand prize so that gives people options as well. Just a thought.

#GoodVibesOnly This sports bar is definitely where you go if you want good food, good drinks & great karaoke! My girlfriends and I definitely had a great time during a birthday celebration. We couldn't stop singing & dancing the whole time we were here. The DJ kept all the hits in rotation. The drinks were made just right! I ordered a Top Shelf Margarita which was definitely more tequila than lime, but that's always a plus in my book. The fishbowls are very popular here as well. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I believe outdoor seating is available all year long. It's a great spot for groups/parties to host gatherings of any sort. Definitely a crowd on the weekends but there's always seating. I highly recommend checking this place out especially karaoke nights.

Very uninviting… could be a cool place, but they don’t have interest in making new customers. All the people look like they been going there for years and we invading their privacy. And it’s very segregated. Updated: we decided to go back again and give it another try! And it was amazing. The crowd was lit, the food was good. Ion know I always experience stuck up DJs when requesting a song. BUTTTT this DJ was smiling the whole time and was really having a good time with everyone. Last time the security guard was trippin. Whoever the security guard was on Feb 25 made it so inviting. He did thoroughly check us and I saw home check the men and I felt safe! This last experience was okay. Didn’t feel to segregated being that a Hispanic family hit the stage and we were cheering them on. They could’ve went and sat on the other side, but no even their kids took the mic and started sing. It felt really inviting and I’m definitely coming back again!

Literally have been sitting at my table for 40 minutes. Waitress in my area has walked by me 78 times in the time. Actually started counting because I just knew eventually she'd stop by. But nope, my wife got up, walked up to another waitress working a completely different area just to have someone take a drink order. I mean, how unprofessional does a person have to be not to do there job. Maybe it's her age because she looks like she's too old to be wearing the uniform here. Worst experience I've every had here and it gets worse each time I visit. Food is inconsistent, never get the same drink twice even though I order the same thing each time. Any other time I would've walked out but my wife really wanted a drink and doesn't want to have Mexican tonight. If I could give negative stars, I would. I always try to support local businesses and give them the benefit out the doubt but this is a last for me. Will never return.

I’ve given this establishment one too many chances to get it right, but they just can’t seem to get it together. The food is only mediocre & the drinks aren’t much better. The 1st couple of times I went, the drinks were great, which is the reason I returned. Well on the 3rd visit, the drinks were not good & then they charged us more for the drinks than the prices listed on the menu. Their only response was “sorry, we have new menus & prices & your table must have been given an old one”. And instead of charging us the prices we were expecting from the menu, they offered us $6 Thirsty turtle bucks to use during the next visit..I declined the offer but my friend took them. Needless to say, they were trashed because their customer service went right out the door with me on my last visit. They won’t be seeing me again. Btw, the chorizo cheese dip was horrible. Nothing like I’m accustomed to from other Mexican restaurants.

So firstly, I’ve heard bad things about this place but came for a special occasion. The vibe was good but the waitress got one of our orders completely wrong and even after trying to correct it, they still charged for the wrong order. The manager literally said the girl in our party had to pay because they cooked it. Regardless of the fact it wasn’t what she ordered. Also they had a lot of tables “reserved” but not for parties….for people they thought would order a lot of food. So seating was limited. Afterwards we went to sing karaoke and the waitress told us we had to order at least $50 to move to another area to sing free karaoke. How do you have most areas “reserved” and customers are forced to sit nowhere near karaoke where they wanted to sit then charge them $50 to sit near the stage? Long story short. No. Food was tasty though

I like going to thirsty turtle but I noticed that they over priced everything by 15% so the original fish bowl used to be $15 but now it's $29 like how? Then I was setting next to a lady who waited for her nachos for about an hour and then the person passing out food gave it to the wrong person ! Then asked for the manager Carlos and he made things worst he was making excuses for their unprofessionalism and that there busy ? What every restaurant you go to it's going to be busy but you don't see nobody giving me food out to somebody else after they waited 1 hour for it.. then canceled her food without her knowledge that is poor customer service and I hope Carlos reads this so that he knows that he lost a customer and he lost me as a customer so I won't be coming back there no more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars! I ordered lemon pepper wings and they came out the color red. I tasted them and they clearly were not lemon pepper. I asked for them to be remade. The manager came to the table and yelled at me then walked off. Telling me how many they sell and that's how they make them. When I told the waitress that I didn't want them he came back to the table yelling again and told me not to come back! I told him he didn't have to worry, that I would NEVER return. He then told security that I needed to pay for drinks that I didn't consume. I feel that the establishment discriminated against me because of my race as well. I have never been treated as horribly as they treated me. I will be filing multiple complaints with any and everyone that can hear me.

I have never been to any establishment in Nashville that is so unethical. It was two of us and the check was auto- gratuity of 20% for $65, ok fine its already there and what the hell i already ate the food, then the server began to direct me on the toast tablet to add additional gratuity as if there was never none added in the first place. I have never seen any restaurant in Nashville that add gratuity on all patrons bill. The service was mediocre, we waited for 30mins to get a menu then another 40 mins for food, i felt based on the service i received i would have given the server the bare minimum 18%. Why put effort to do anything if you are patrons are forced to tip anyways! I dont even want to talk about food, just trash!

I went here with high hopes. It's the first Thirsty Turtle I've seen since leaving Florida. Boy was I disappointed. The food prices were about 25% higher than made sense ($15 for 10 wings, $14 for sliders). The service was awful, which I thought was due to staffing shortages, but it turns out our server was just hanging out in the center room on her phone... Collecting the automatic 18% gratuity. Anyway, the wings tasted good and the bar patrons seemed to be getting good service. I wouldn't go back, but if you go, expect to pay too much for basic bar food... and sit at the bar. Also-- do not respond with a canned 'owner' response. That's insincere and offensive.

This place has really gone down! What was a great experience has become a disaster. Game day was ruined by terrible Tv placement, bad service, and overpriced food. In the large area with TVs surrounding it no one is sitting because the games requested won’t be played there. We’re paying customers sitting in a booth, huddled around a small tv currently. Most people left, the servers didn’t care. The response was the manager told them not to adjust the TVs (while laughing). Pass on this place, the surrounding sports bar are much better. The owner can’t even be bothered to speak with customers or respond to legitimate criticism on the website. What a Joke!

So I’m leaving this review not because of the service I received , my waitress Ciera did her thing, now the actual problem I have with this place is for one the foods not that great, secondly the owners really don’t want black people in there establishment, the only reason I was there is because one of my friends called a meeting there. I don’t understand how as black people we spend our money with people that don’t care for our race ! I will never go here again and I told my homies to quite spending there money here. And we as a group spent well over 350$ in. Never again!

This place has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is not that the waiters here are horrible. It just looks like they are permanently under staffed. All night, this one waiter was running around trying to service everyone. This place has some very good food specials and drink specials. I was able to order a 64oz pitcher for a very good price. They have a ton of beer on tap. I heard that the cocktails are very strong also. My friends ordered wings, steak, and burgers and they all thought the food was good. It took a long time to get any of the TVs changed to the correct sporting event, get refills, or even get our food.

Went to the restaurant to have lunch we were literally the only two people there aside from a guy drinking beer with the waitress when we walked in the waitress was sitting at the bar. It took her 10 minutes to get up and serve us. She did not tell us her name she never wrote down the order, she messed up the order forgot my food and brought me the wrong order. Then told me i didn’t know what i was ordering because the restaurant doesn’t serve it. Then over charged us and never gave me a receipt. My drink was water. This was a horrible experience and the waitress Diya was high and obviously didn’t care to serve us or get my order correct.

Terrible establishment. My partner and I arrived one night (the same night of a karaoke event). Upon arriving, we were asked for IDs which has never happened to us upon arriving. So my partner asked if the guy had a badge or anything to show he had the authority to ID us and the security guard (if that's what he was) said he had a gun on his waist in a provoking manner. At that point, my partner and I turned around and left. I will NEVER attend this establishment again and have recommended that others do not either. There was also a shooting at this bar earlier this year! Seems shooting is what they like to do.

Waitress was great but that’s all I can say about the entire place. Food took over an hour to get out to us, and certain parts of the appetizer platter was cold. The owner is too busy fraternizing with women instead of handling his business. The general manager tries his best but seems like his hands are tied by the owner himself. Bar is also dirty and the food wasn’t even that good. No paper towels in the bathroom and no napkins at the tables. You’re better off taking your money somewhere else.

We stopped in with a bigger group recently and they were very accommodating. My friend and I had the Chicken Tostones and they were A M A Z I N G. Do yourself a favor and try it. Friendly staff. Quite the eclectic music bumping from the speakers and very interesting drink options. You can do tubes of margaritas and beer, enormous mason jar drinks, fish bowls...you name it. Their menu could honestly be edited a bit because it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what to get...but with that being said, everything I've tried here has been delicious.

I’ve come here for years but stopped in the last year and came again today with some hope…. Nope why would u bring me out a basket of wings with all drums. And they are over cooked. Music so loud u can’t talk. Customer service always been trash but if the food and drinks good it makes up for it right? Nope not anymore. Not a friendly staff. Hopefully not because we are white in a Mexican bar. We were the only people not being served. We've always been kind to Mexican people and supported them in business in Nashville. Anyhow, we tried to order drinks and food with 3 different staff members who basically were rude or pretended to take our order, didn't write anything down but then didn't bring our order. They wouldn't even come to our table. I had to go to the bar 3 times. They weren't that busy! Left after 30-45 minutes.

I visited here recently and the music and food was great. But the only thing I didn't like is that they take 18 percent for gruity. It's not ok to take money off ones card for tips without permission.

not a bad place to eat, service is insanely slow and (frankly) poor. However, they were very friendly and the food was good. I had a burger and a few wings, both well cooked, big portions. They have pretty faces working; it's not a bad idea to ask them to work a bit more and socialize a bit less. we literally were the only ones eating at the time (others drinking) and it still took 40 minutes to get two burgers and 6 wings done. if you have the time, though, not a bad place to visit.

This establishment must have changed owners because the lack of customer service displayed this week was terrible! Waited 25 minutes before a waitress addressed me and all i was waiting for was a menu to review. 3 other waitresses walked by my table and stated someone will be with you shortly. After finally waiting 40 minutes and no waitress came nor provided a menu. Once i decided to leave a waitress wanted to being a menu for me to review. I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

The food and drinks are good! Great atmosphere, and karaoke was fun. However, my star rating is mediocre because of the waitresses. Their attitudes, body language, and everything else is just blah! They truly look and sound like they don't not want to work. The place was live, and they simply change the mood... they need a pep talk or something because good food and drinks is only half the battle with having a great restaurant/bar, great service will always win!

The beer was served room temp....there was super loud spanish rap music blasting so loud I had a headache. The waitress brought something completely different than what I asked for, she apologized and admitted it was her mistake, but did NOT correct the mistake and I was still charged for it... Also, they AUTOMATICALLY include a gratuity of 18%, which is would be acceptable if any actual service had been provided. This business has really gone down hill.

Service was slow and terrible. Food was good though, when you can finally get served. They offer happy hour drinks yet on the list of drinks shown as happy hour drinks, only 2 are actually allowed served. I paid by credit card and 15 min. later, I had to go get my card from the server. A group of workers were gaving a chat and evidently the server forgot us...I am not going to give a good review about anything but the food. Id give it 4 stars.

Had to wait for an hour and a half for my order. People that came in 30 minutes after me got served before i did. I had a drink so i waited after asking the waitress about my order, she said it was coming out soon but It did not. I do not recommend this place. Very poor service. My sister and I have just moved to the Nashville area we have gone here a few times and did not realize they charge a 18% gratuity. Once we complained about it they were not phased at all. She stated that they are asking for more than Jesus does. He only asks for 10%. Although the food is decent, the service isnt. They didnt even try to satisfy us as customers. We will not be returning there ever again

I have been a customer of thirsty turtle since they opened, seems like the customer service has been declining within the last year. Food is great & has been tasty every time on a positive note. I went there This past Tuesday and I have so much fun. The food was awesome and the bartender was amazing her name was Deven. To make sure the food was perfect and the drinks was worth it. I would definitely be back again and I want her as my bartender again.

Great place. Never disappointed! Drinks are great and two types of atmosphere. If you wanna just chill you cool, and if you wanna turn up they got you! Also karaoke on some nights. Music on point! Charged me for some food I never received because they messed up our table's order. The waiters gave me the wrong wing flavor and I tasted it, and said it was my order. They said I'm on tape eating the wings. I told them show me a tape where I'm eating 8 wings. There was no such tape. Everybody had problems with there orders last night.

I’ve never been to a worse sports bar. The waitress hovered over us waiting for payment at the end. I’ve been a server and this is terrible customer treatment. The music started blasting out of nowhere and my ears are ringing. I’ll never go back… the bill was over $80 by the way for 3 burgers and 3 beers. Don’t waste your money BEWARE

The drinks are fairly decent here when other places are not open due to Covid-19. Service is not that great and they include gratuity even when it is not more than 2 people in a party. No social distancing unless you sit outside on the patio. Music is also not good anymore since the DJ left. This place is really a last resort place.

Service was good but you can clearly tell they mix there alcohol with cheap alcohol, I know what my Don Julio taste like and smell and its definitely mixed with something else. So when you order top shelf shots, you might as well get house shots. I worked at bars before and I know how some bars mix there stuff with cheap alcohol.

It's nice. Just extremely loud. I could barely hear my friend who was literally sitting right next to me at the bar. And I get bartenders have regulars and they want to make sure they interact with them.. but new faces makes a difference. That's how a business thrives. You are part of the image. Treat all the same. Food was good.

Great drinks and wings. I’ve been on a few different occasions and we enjoyed it. I know most Saturdays they card but kids should leave after 11:00 PM or sooner on a Saturday due to the crowd changing just a suggestion. (The table next to us had a few kids under age 12 screaming unfortunately my mom was annoyed at this.)

Good food with a decent variety on the menu in a sports bar/karaoke environment. It can get pretty noisy if there's a game on & they are having karaoke night so be aware. Servers are plentiful but after your initial order you may have to locate them to order anything else or get the check. The food is served fast & hot.

I took my friend from out of town to this place last night and unfortunately we felt disappointed. While our male waiter was nice every drink we ordered was either made with no alcohol or had very very little in it. I had only been here one time before and had a good time. Skimming alcohol in mixed drinks is not cool.

The food was just alright. We ordered 2 20pc wings, a fishbowl (during happy hour/no happy hour discount), and a soda. There was a very high automated gratuity (service sucked/waitress didn't even look at us in the face the first two times she came to the table). The bill was over a hundred dollars....NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Music was way too loud for our age group-(49-60) service was very slow, drinks were extremely light on the liquor pour(s), English wasn't easily understood by our wait staff. It's a place geared towards 21-35 yr olds, looking for a LOUD party atmosphere and bar food, predominantly Hispanic fare & atmosphere.

Ordered a churrasco, got a slice of steak ‍♂️ No need to lie about the cut of steak! If your not serving churrasco then please just say steak on the grill. Wings are amazing tho! Also their frozen drinks!

We went when it was chill, glad too didn't feel like a big crowd, but nice atmosphere and our waitress was patience and very professional. Food was good and plentiful, but would like to come back when it's jumping.

Is everyone that works here drunk? I ask bartender for a drink. I wait much longer than it should have taken. Bartender is hanging out with his friends. They have lots of drinks. Managers are dancing with the bartenders not serving patrons. No one cares. Wow. 1st time/last time ✌️

Karaoke is wonderful. The waitresses take way too long and never get you exactly what you request. AND their prices are quite steep for terrible customer service. And it's crowded all the time, seating arrangements are terrible as well. There's not much walking space at all, ever.

This place will nickel and dime you, I'm surprise they don't charge for napkins, 10 wings will get you one small container of ranch, want more that's extra, order all flats that's extra, sodas $3.00. Waitress will have you waiting forever for your order. Would not eat there again.

Food was extremely overpriced and felt microwaved. Our server did not once check in on us or refill our drinks even when the bar was almost empty. Was overcharged for the mediocre food. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Brown & Black vibes...I loved it. The drinks were delicious and huge. The food was good and the servers were cute. I liked how both sides were playing the same genre but in different languages. Only 4 stars bc the air wasn't on and we had to leave earlier than we wanted.

jfc who pounds out a nice chicken breast to a jerky 3x the size of a bun and blasts Mexican rap music right into your ear for an empty restaurant. warm beer, great servers but holy hell it's an awful environment all around. no wonder the mfr is empty when you get there.

I said at the bar, however, I was charged A8 percent gratuity. Just for ordering a drink and my food to go. The waitresses spoke with other employees instead of patrons

Everything was great except fro the crying and screaming woman sitting next to me. And the people that worked there ignored it. The bathrooms were very dirty.

If you’re ever in Nashville, the turtle should definitely be one of your first stops my server was incredible! Super friendly made sure I got my food in a timely matter, and the atmosphere is unmatched, who doesn’t love Reggaeton and hip hop.

Beer was warm. Steak was awesome. I didn't really order it. But i loved it. As a chef I don't eat alot of bar food and I would definitely never order steak the 1st time in a bar sports bar. But I was very impressed. Thank you #Hungry Turtle

The To Go order girl and hostess were extremely nice! Which is why I think it’s unfair they don’t have an option to tip for to go orders. I had to ask her to add it in for me because how well I was treated. They deserve their tips!

Changed the main bar layout. Nicer for sports and such. Plenty of volume for the game. Looks nice ordered much size fajitas for Mary and I. Quick service and plenty for 2. Come for the games and also you can bring your kids.

1st time customer. Disappointed. To go order served without condiments. Bison Burger was dry. Request for no onions ignored. Skip fries. Reviews indicate a fun place to gather. Hope for a better experience in the future.

Cool spot to grab a drink and sing some Karaoke. They always have cool vibes good mix of people. Seating is first come first served and you seat your self. Drinks could be stronger but that might just be me and my crew.

Just got our to-go order. In our basket of chicken strips, we received shrimp. We are both allergic and could easily die over this. This place clearly has zero concept of food safety.

We love this place- always so friendly and the food and the drinks are always so so good. We love the karaoke Latino- super fun.

We ordered 2 beers and waited 30 mins for the waitress to come back to get our food order on a very slow day. The waitress new zero English and getting those 2 beers was difficult.

Pretty good food with a good selection of booze. The only thing to keep in mind is that they have an %18 automatic gratuity.

Order a salad and there are no options for dressings. Salad consist of onion, tomato, cheese and lettuce.
