"Who ever is at the desk whether they're younger or older, they are always so very polite and courteous , I am not a student there but I appreciate that the college let the city bus drivers come in and use the restroom and there are very few places for us to go now because of the virus 19, since we have to take a lot of the ones there for their education, thank you for your hospitality from the city bus operators at JTA"
On the fourth floor of Tommy G, STEM students hunched over textbooks, their faces etched with stress. Their silent battleground overlooked the stagnant pond, home to a surreal sentinel—an enormous, fish statue, forever adrift in murky waters. This fish was an enigma, a symbol of the STEM majors' relentless pursuit of knowledge. As equations and formulas danced before their eyes, the fish, too, swam aimlessly. Its eyes stared back at them, reflecting their misery, or so they believed. They whispered that it was an embodiment of their own unending quest for answers, lost in a sea of uncertainty. On the fourth floor, laughter was scarce, but grim chuckles emerged when someone wondered if the fish held the secrets of the universe. They considered writing a thesis on "The Lagrangian physics of the Floating Fish Statue." For in the darkest moments of their academic journeys, they found solace in the absurdist companionship of that sentinel, drifting through the sea of knowledge, much like they did in their pursuit of wisdom.
Great place, just know what you’re looking for when you arrive! This can be accomplished by asking the front desk, or by simply heading towards the elevators and taking a look at the bulldog guide near them. The staff are great, kind, and patient people. They will do all in they’re power to help you. Visitors, anyone not a student at the university, can still enter the library and use any resources that are not checked out behind the desk. Basically all desktop computers, the study rooms if no students are currently occupying them, and the books can be checked out with a “special borrowers card” which is $50 annually and must be paid for in-person at the front desk. It’s also a calm place o just hangout in, I liked to head up to the third floor and lay on the, what i call, “window benches” near the study rooms and just read a book.
Perfect place to escape reality ftom the real world. My only two issues are the fact that the first floor is ALWAYS FREEZING COLD and the vending machines are filled with toxic snacks and drinks that will surely poison your body, tar your insides and will lead to all kinds of health problems if you eat and drink this junk regularly, so please bring your own nutritious food and drinks. Please turn the termperature up or turn the AC off.. or add cozy lounge couches on the upper level as well. Otherwise, thanks for never harrassing anyone and thanks for staying open late.
The hours are subject to the University so check the website first. You will also need to go there to reserve a room. The floors are for different purposes and there are signs when you walk in. It can be packed on the second floors but they have all the public use computers. If you stop by the desk you can use your student ID to check out a laptop. The 3rd and 4th floors are the quiet ones and they have study sections throughout and even between the shelves.

Chairs vary from too hard and not low enough, to soft enough but not adjustable enough. Clean, except the bathrooms which look as if primates slovenly soil them. Accomadating to handicapable. Great selections from a variety of included and surrounding snack machines. Accessible most hours, some holidays, and early in to the next morning.
Very quaint library! I'm a frequent visiting guest, and I never receive any issues about checking in. Most of the front desk is happy and outgoing. The second floor is filled with great resources and a lot of space to study at. Very modern and attractive as well.
The unf library is a great place to study but please do not go by what Google lists for hours. The hours at our library change frequently by semester and Google never updates it
I love studying here! I feel so accomplished when my study session is over. They provide a quiet safe space for me to get my work done and I appreciate it!
Still learning the layout of the building cause I still get lost in the building. This university and FSCJ have the most amazing staff i have encountered.
Year is 2020 and we still struglle to watch live video with internet .... Just for comparison small dutch colleges have 40 times faster internet …
Great structure. at times people go to the 3rd floor, which is supposed to be quiet, but still talk. I can be frustrating at times.
This library has a healthy amount of resources, considering it is the library for the University of North Florida.
